Sex, Drugs, And Rock N Roll!



Ever wonder what being in a band was like? or being a groupie, living day and night in the rock star life style? Well then, Welcome to Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll. I have purposely left out the name of the band, deciding it would be better if the members of the band actually named it. Also, please keep in mind a minimum of 1 post, at least 4 sentences long, must be completed per week in order to keep the roleplay moving forward.

Premise: You are a 5 member band, recently hitting it big. Equipped with a big new tour bus you are hitting the road all around America to promote your new album. What kind of wacky things will the band get into? What sexual conquests will alcohol and drugs lead? Who is to know? Perhaps band members might find love!

I enjoy open ended roleplays and desire to give everyone the freedom to make their own decisions and go about things how they want to. I would like to strive to see how the band interacts with each other and see if the stresses of fame, drugs, and women will do to them. I'm open to suggestions on how to make this fun for everyone, so feel free to PM suggestions to me.

Age: 22

Personality: Distant and quiet. She normally wears black sunglasses to hide her eyes. On stage shes fierce and animated, more than her fellow band mates see off stage. She writes a lot of the band's music.

Bio: The young sister of her brother whom is a renowned rockstar, music seems to run in the Draven family. She started learning to play guitar at the age of 8 and quickly excelled. School, how ever, was not her strong point. She ended up getting expelled in 10th grade for starting fights and smoking weed. She never attended school again.

From there she was in and out of a lot of garage bands before finally hitting it big with the current band. The road has been long and adventures but she enjoys playing music and feels that its the only peace she knows.

Character's Ons/Offs: Orgies, group sex, swinging. She enjoys vanilla sex as well as drug induced hedonism.

Player's Limits No maiming or killing of my character please. Other then that I am open to anything.

Instrument (For band members): Plays lead guitar, as well as drums in her spare time.

Personality:
Calm, somewhat snobbish, used to popularity and hard to confuse. Rational, sometimes too much. Careless in personal affairs to the point that her romantic relationships always ends in disaster; mostly because of her egoism and preference of music over everything else. She may be not a bad person somewhere deep inside, but until now she prefers to hide it and doesn't allow emotions to burst.

Bio:
Before the orange revolution in Ukraine, her family was one of the wealthiest in country. Alisas father was close friend of president and made a fortune during his somewhat undemocratic and authoritative rule, but when democratic forces came to power, many old oligarchs had to flee from Ukraine and one of such was Tkachenko's family, moving to USA.
She was raised in very strict and somewhat conservative atmosphere. Alisa was forced to learn classical music and ballet. She have shown great talent from the young age but instead of playing Mozart or List, she proffered to play and listen to Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and Doors.

Alisa, or Alice (The way American friends call her) is on very bad terms with family. She ran from home few times but was always forced back, until she became 18, when her privacy was forced by law over her parents and she left for good.

Alisa joined the band not long after broking with yet another boyfriend who she was hitchhiking with for few weeks.

Character's Ons/Offs:
She enjoys 1on1 vanilla sex with opposite gender. She maybe up to some vanilla bondage like blindfold or tied to bed hands, but nowhere near anything extreme. Trying to be proud in real life makes her to like little roughness from her partner during sex. (easy slapping, strong word or two (not in front of other people though) and so on... but again, nothing extreme)

Player's Limits

Davis Maxwell owns an interview room just as easily as he owns the stage.  Channeling the dark nihilism of Marilyn Manson through the voice and hedonism of Jim Morrison, throw in the strut of Mick Jagger and you've got a recipe for rock star.  He's the type of singer who can take a Barry Manilow song and leave the crowd screaming.  And that's just where they found Davis, blowing things up in a cover band in Florida.

When he's on stage his presence elevates the band to something worthy of the media blitzkrieg they're in the middle of.  Unfortunately too often Davis just isn't on stage, with several missed shows this tour blamed on Davis's substance problems, and their studio record shows that the band has trouble capturing that lightning in a jar on record.  Davis will take this band places. The question is, will it to be the top or the bottom."

Appearance:

Davis is a slender, dark haired and dark eyed man.  He is 5'11", fit though not terribly sculpted.  Instead his skin is smooth and bronze, as most fans know based on the number of times he's taken off his shirt on stage or in film.  His smile and demeanor is easy and charming, perhaps more so for the slight gap in his teeth.  He dresses casually, halfheartedly, in whatever seems to be around and so doesn't exude a particular style.  His movements, both on stage and off, are graceful, sensual, someone who clearly was meant to move to music, to touch and be touched.

Name: Davis Maxwell

Age: 28

Personality: Davis is effortlessly charming.  He's always been the smooth talking bad boy, the one people are drawn to despite, or maybe because, he scares them a little bit.  He's a nihilist at heart, just out there getting his kicks, but he's no cynic.  He's interested in people, and he can be drawn in, build quite an attachment.  Unfortunately his mind is a butterfly going from one person to the next, one thought to the next.  Life on the road works for him, for that's how his mind works, one day here, one day there, no hard feelings.

Music is the one thing that matters to Davis.  Before drugs, before drinking, before sex, music was the thing that took him away, took him out of his mind and into something that was real and good.  It will always be his first love, and the time he's not on stage he fills with as much of these other distractions as he can.  Anything to bring him in a trance, where his body and his mind and his heart seem one.  If he's not in that state he'd rather not be, and can be prone to fits of rage, depression or inexplicable behavior.  Luckily on the road, sex and drugs are as available as they need be.

Bio: Davis's troubled personality started young, after the death of his mother at the age of 8.  He doesn't speak about it,but the influence of such a violent event clearly permeates his life, and when he manages to put pen to paper, his writing.  A juvenile delinquent, Davis never made it through school and instead spent years couch surfing, doing drugs, living like a beatnik.  Eventually, Davis found his calling, put his chops to work for a cover band covering the coast of Florida.  Davis returned to the music which had been his saving grace as a youngster, though he traded the piano for a microphone, and all the attention that came with it.  Picked up to join the band, Davis puts his heart and soul into the music and lyrics the band writes.  Keeping him sober enough to perform, and getting him to put any effort into studio time has been the band's challenge.  Needless to say, Davis gets a lot of press attention for his wild antics on stage, his strong sexual presence and cover boy looks, and his outrageous quotes to the press.  He laps it up, yet seems just as likely to blow it all up.

Character's Ons/Offs: Any kind of sex, with any amount and variety of people.  Davis loves to shock and surprise people, so he's up for anything that might do the trick even if it's not normally his thing.  Davis loves women, can easily become infatuated despite his philandering ways, and will always remember those he's hooked up with, even if he was in an altered state.  His sex life runs the gamut from slow blissed out seductive sex to tying a girl up and fucking her in the ass, to drug fueled orgies.

Player's Limits: No watersports, torture.  M/M is okay, but limited (and always a top).

Instrument: Lead vocals.  He plays piano privately.

Name: Boston "Boss" Bagwel
Age: 24
Personality: Boston is a lively guy. Always doing something crazy or life threatening. A partier to the T. Easy to anger, and not one to let anyone talk to him like he was lesser than them. A bit of a dick to most people, but he's just that up front about things. His wildness is what attracts the women, and if that doesn't the array of tattoos ought to make them curious. He has his deep moments, despite the alcohol and drugs he can still make his brain work.
Bio: Boston despite being two years older than Aurora has been with her since they started to play instruments. Though nothing came of them, they were just mutual friends and had sex when ever the other was up for it, or just for something to do. Boston didn't have a good family life though. His mother the alcohol abuser she was drove his dad off with all the shit she put him through. His dad before he left was just as bad, except he had anger issues and every time his mother and fought. Boston was the target for one or both of their anger. Boston played the drums and loved it he was in every band that Aurora found her way in to, if they had a drummer he was taking their spot. After they got big with their current band that's when all of the fun stuff happened.

Character's Ons/Offs: Boston is an extremest while he enjoys 1on1 with the opposite sex, an orgy isn't off the list of possibilities. He's rough in the sack pulling hair biting some pinching, dirty talk. All of that is a turn on. Foreplay despite being up front about things, he does enjoy some teasing and foreplay. Extreme bondage is a no. He has enough piercings already so hooks and chains won't fly. Maybe a blind fold and some handcuffs, but that's it. Watersports and the like are a negative as well. He also likes to have sex while on drugs so that's a yes. 

Player's Limits No killing or disorienting in any way. Pleas no disfigurement either. Other than that I think I will be fine.

Appearance:

Maggie is slender and smallish, at 5'3''. When not on guard, she exudes intense nerves, and can usually be found gripping a clip board or coffee cup as if for dear life. For a brief time she tried out several hip "manager looks", which each failed dismally in their own right, before she reverted to dressing as herself in old knit sweaters, jeans, and vans sneakers. Still, she knows when to don the power suit, flats, and business savvy up-do when the time calls for it. 
Name: Margarate (Maggie) Connor
Age: 26

Personality: Anxious, but wildly intelligent, Maggie spends most of her time keeping up the exhausting impression she knows what she's doing. She happiest when alone in her apartment with a notepad and a Breaking Bad box set, or camping in some remote location, or lost in a crowd at a show where no one knows her name. She's never been drunk, done drugs, or felt the need to. She likes obscure indie music, blues, old country/folk, as well the few popular bands that actually display some talent. A bit of an idealist, she still believes in the powerful, transformative capabilities of music, couldn't care less for money or fame... and for the life of her can't figure out why she's in this industry. When under stress, she can prove surprisingly hard nosed and resourceful, even to herself. She's a keeper of many secrets, including being on a first name basis with more then a few living legends of jazz and blues scattered across the country in old weathered booze halls.

Bio: Born to small town Ontario, Maggie lived a modest but sheltered life until she moved to Toronto to study fine art where she double majored in Music History and Piano on full scholarship. She graduated summa cum laude, but soon found the spotless academic record for which she sacrificed anything of a social life did her few favor on the job market (at least when she hadn't even the nerve to hum a tune in public). So, obviously, the most logical step was to head back to school. She did her Masters in New Orleans, where upon graduation a sympathetic professor hooked her up with an internship with a prominent record label.

When the band's discoverer/first manager had to be committed for "exhaustion", the label's executive, an exceptionally eccentric man, chose her to fill the position because she "Looked like a tightass. You know, like the only bitch in here I can trust not to be doing coke lines off the back of some strip join toilet like the rest of these mutherfuckers". She's been charged with managing not only their economic success, but their safety. There is constant pressure on her to not only makes record sales, but to keep the band in line. So far so good. Some individuals have been a bigger challenge then others, but no one's needed to be airlifted to hospital and her managerial decisions have played no small part in the band's recent spike in success, but it can't be smooth sailing forever, can it?   

Character's Ons/Offs: Ons: Kissing, foreplay, teasing, Smart people, Strong poeple. Maggie is a romantic at heart, win her over and she'll likely yield to pretty much anything. I can't imagine her in any dom role, and she's more inclined towards men.
Offs: Definate nos: Maiming, pregnancy, urine/scat, orgies, force Could learn to like: Public settings/risk of being caught, light rough play, dirty talk, hair pulling.

Instrument (For band members): Though not involved in any band (and riddled with performance anxiety), Maggie is a talented pianist in a wide breadth of styles, and not a poor violinist. She has a smoky, soulful jazz voice.

I don't think there is a certain look just a picture of a guy will do really. I just went with Travis Barker because he's a boss at the drums.

@Lore: I think she would be a great manager.  Would definitely try to get her to take a drink or do a line, but mainly just to get a rise out of her if he could. Who knows maybe try to woo the poor girl.

How she'd like likely feel about bandmates in order of least to most stress inducing:

Aurora: She's a strong girl, with blood in the industry. Maggie won't be concerned for her until she gives her reason
Boston: If I read between the lines of his ap correctly, I see a guy that despite his many vices, manages to kept it together, and always shows (what with his shadow like following of Aurora). She'd likely appreciate any hassle he gave her, feeling more part of the group for it. Of course, she lives in dread of the day he decides to do a back flip off hotel balcony...
Aurora Snob or no, Maggie would likely be feeling some big sister protectiveness toward her. She'd want to shield her from overzealous groupies, over indulgence, and industry jerk waiting to take advantage.
Davis Ahaha Near death is right. Every time he Misses a show, a few years are taken off her life. Politics and economics aside, she'd likely be genuinely concerned for him.

Heee so much fun. Are we allowed NPCs in the Game? If so I see Maggie spending a lot of time on her cell/skyping with the Get Him to the Greek inspired label owner mentioned in her app:

Neveah is a slender, natural blond with beautiful grey eyes.  She is approximately 5'6 and has a dancers body.  She loves to wear short skirts, shorts, and dresses that really show off her goodies.  She rocks the high heels and loves leather.  She wears a lot of makeup.  Despite her appearances, Neveah is extremely intelligent and overly dramatic.

Personality:  Nevaeh  is flirty, fun, curious about everything.  She likes to drink, party, and be the center of attention.  She will do ANYTHING to get attention.  She can be very mischievous at times, but its all in good fun.  She loves to play pranks.

Bio:  Nevaeh, whose real name is actually Elizabeth Holmes, was born to a relatively wealthy family in Aldershot, England.  She attended the finest schools, took ballet, piano, and voice lessons.  She pretty much got whatever she wanted, when she wanted it.  She was her fathers favorite, and there was no attempt to hide the favoritism from her siblings.  When she was not singing or practicing, Nevaeh likes to read, play chess, write, and workout.

When Neveah turned 18, she convinced her father to allow her to move to New York.  Her father bought her an apartment, a car, and have everything ready for her to move in.  When she arrived in New York, she changed her name legally to Neveah Scott, as Elizabeth was just not cool enough to gain the attention she desired.  Neveah knew that she was going to be big in NYC, but had to find a way to get attention.  So, she decided to become a groupie.  She followed bands around.  She pretty much became their play toy, as there was nothing she wouldn't do to get backstage.

No one has posted for it and I assume it's first come first serve. So if you get your cs asap I assume you will be the bassist.

Age:20
Personality:Sort of Goofy but a bit of a lady killer. Very loyal to his friends and and anyone he meets. He trusts more than he should but is still a great friend. He is shy sometimes but when he sees something (or someone) he wants, he will pull up all stops to get it.
Bio:Vance grew up in a small town outside of Columbus, Ohio. Grew up listening to good old bands and dissecting the music. His idol is flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers and his idol is to meet Dave Gohl from the Foo Fighters.
Character's Ons/Offs: Is up for normal sex and maybe orgies. He's pretty straight forward about what he likes and dislikes.
Player's Limits: The obvious stuff like scat and watersports along with NC and rape. He doesn't want to go too far with a girl unless they ask.

Appearance: Ava stands at about 5'5, her body is somewhat slender but she has her share of curves. Even though she has a nice body she usually doesn't wear clothing that seems to be two sizes too small. With a wardrobe full of skinny jeans she can be found in a polo or v-neck and her favorite pair of ash gray toms for comfort. She does know how to dress nicely but she just doesn't have the time, or at least that's her excuse. Make up wise she likes to go natural unless she's dressing for a special occasion.

Name: Ava Lee Combs

Age: 20

Personality: Although often shy she has a outgoing and bubbly personality once you get to know her. Ava has a good head on her shoulders being able to make it through her teen years without so much as touching alcohol prematurely or taking drugs. Once she took the job as a traveling stagehand she became more careful and aware of other people. Knowing that she can be a little too nice and naive at times she learned to keep quiet and to herself to avoid self destruction of any sort. Ava had always had a quick temper growing up but over the years she had learned to control herself, well at least when she wasn't stressed. Being new to this traveling stagehand idea and a perfectionist, Ava is constantly stressing herself out over the littlest things in fear that the stage manager won't be pleased with her work. To top it all off she never had much of a childhood which made it hard to just sit back and have fun at times.

Bio: While she was younger her parents had always dreamed of her being a violin soloist. Shelling out money left and right for lessons and her violin her parents pushed her, wanting nothing but the best out of her seeing that she started at the age of five. When she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts she accepted the stagehand job leaving her parents upset and dumbfounded. Her parents feared for the worst knowing how life was like for a rock band, so they cut her off and decided not to support her any longer. Hurt Ava decided to stick with her decision, ignoring their thoughts on her future. Ava hopes to let loose and have fun for once, besides its a once in a lifetime chance.

Jasmine has a seductive shyness about her that draws attention even when she is not trying to. 5’6 ebony bronzed sistah with a slim waist, thick hips and lips made for loving, Loves wearing eye catching dresses that dance around her tone legs. She is a runner so she doesn’t mind sweating if need be! Wears very little make up unless she is trying to be seductive but otherwise she tries not to bring to much attention to herself. Highly intelligent and too much of a thinker.

Personality:  Jasmine portrays herself fun loving fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type girl who loves to party. But secretly she is doing a story <undercover reporter> She doesn’t smoke and pretends to drink but never really does because she has a low tolerance.  But when she does drink her who character chances.. <I will let that be a surprise to you LOL>.

Bio:  There is nothing more important to Jazz than being a reporter. She will do anything to get this job. She secretly loves to sing but has a phobia of singing in for of large audiences, but when she is alone or drunk she signs a beautifully as an angle. Her laptop is with her 24/7 and she if always watching.

Personality: Quiet , keeps to himself mostly getting involved only when need be with a rather calm quality about him. Seems content to be in the background though not beyond taking advantage of a fan wanting to sneak on the bus if the mood strikes him anyways. Has a more take care of his own attitude that seems to include those in the band and his fellow road team as they all are like family to him. Bio: Been in the scene since he was about 19 remaining in the background working in stage setup for this group or that and has a nice list of references. It is rumored that he was a lover of a lead guitarist and singer of band Tainted Love which ended with an overdose type situation and stayed on till the band broke up a few years later. Using contacts in the industry he now has been employed with this organization and has found a comfortable niche. No real family in the world though never seems to be hurting for money and not much else is known about the man as he keeps his private life just that private.

Character's Ons/Offs: Bi-sexual , Switch....depends on the characters mood. Enjoys anal sex, little rough play never hurt anyone and watching are great turn on's. He not going to stand by and allow some things ..participate in a rape or anything too dehumanizing to another mean sure shit happens and he seen his fair share of groupies left crying along the roadside. What can you do if they don't listen to the warnings though still he has a soft spot for some of them and has handed out more than his full share of get your ass home money.

Also this is my first groups plot on this site. If two or three characters want to thread something of a side story, could they just do so in the appropriate sub forum, and tag it with SDR&R or something?

You might want to post up an OOC area and a separate character sheet thread in the Small Group Section you wish to play the game in. That way those already approved can chitter chatter and leave this thread up for new incoming people to discuss things with . The separate Character sheet thread just becomes easier reference as the game goes along .

I don't have a strong opinion as to where/how we open.  Whatever people like.

For a band name ... well how would people describe the band?  What kind of music are we making?  For his part I imagine Davis as a rock/soulful kind of voice, a la Jim Morrison.  But the music style could cover a bit of a range still.

I vote The Board Of Delinquents as the bands name. As for where we should start I think number four would be appropriate. We can get all of our characters formed and have some interactions going. The party can come after the gig.

Also I would like Boston to be friends with john. I've always said that if I was in a band, I would be cool with the driver.

I demand someone be the drug guy or gal. Just kidding no demands, but if any groupie has it then you've got a friend in Boss lol.

Walter is always immaculately dressed in well tailored suits. He is well groomed, with a domineering and unsettling presence.

Name: Walter Vice

Age: 34

Personality: Walter Vice isn't nice. You can only afford to keep so many friends on the way to the top. He's a calculating self interested man with at least one eye always on the bottome line. He doesn't care about music, which is ironic considering he's the CEO of the largest record label in the western hemisphere. His business is just that, a business. Once you've signed to his label you are his commodity, his product. He likes to keep his talent provided with a steady stream of drugs and sex. It keeps them pacified, controllable, distracted. Steal from him, or take money from his pocket by any other means, he won't fuck you up - he has people who do that for him.

That isn't to say he's cheap. When Vice or his label does something, it's done right - no expense spared. He is generous to his employees and talent, providing them with the best hotels, travel means, equipment, etc. - of course this is all done under the understanding that he owns those on his payroll. He's an eccentric man, rumored to be a little unbalanced. When he asks for something to be done, he expects it to be done just so, down to the last minute detail, or it better be done again and done right. He's in an open relationship with his super model girlfriend - which is to say, he can sleep with whomever he wants, but if he catches her sneaking around, he'll throw her out and have his rival's testicles removed. He has a soft spot for his mother, and ill literally destroy anyone who harms her.

Bio: Vice is a self made man. He was raised in recession Detroit in a crammed one room apartment by his single mom who worked two jobs to keep him and his siblings fed. He put himself through college by dealing speed and weed to his fellow students, graduating with an MBA. He started ImagiCorp Media when he was 22 and rode the Dot com bubble to the top, managing to make it out with his assets in tact unlike the majority of his peer. His music division was previously built on the backs of rap and hip hop, but has since expanded to encompass a gamut of genres and the biggest names in music.

He hasn't coped entirely seamlessly with his rise from bottom to top, most believing the money and power have gone to his head. He's put his mother and little siblings up in a Beverly Hills villa, and takes the company jet to visit them from time to time.

Character's Ons/Offs: Walter gets off on power. No matter what's going on, he needs to be on top. His favorite is orgies with multiple tall, beautiful women. Men don't really do much for him.

Player's Limits These are what you DO NOT want to have happen to your character. I'm more open with Walter, as he's something of a side character. You can see my O's and O's for limits, ect.

*Walter is side character who I'll be NPCing on the phone/communicating with Maggie in various ways. If the plot calls for it, he might make an appearance

Personality: Spirited, high energy girl. Always up for a new adventure, loves hanging out with people and learning new ways of life. She’s a follower, hooking on to someone and aiming to please to be kept around.

Bio: Rayne grew up a middle child to a well to do family, growing into a wild streak as the years went by. She was very curious as a child, growing into a teenager Rayne experimented with a lot of things to make her feel good and enjoy the world around her. Rayne loves music, it drives her, soothes her and in a way raised her to be the freewheeling girl she is. Whenever bands came into town, Rayne latched onto their entourage and submersed herself into their culture. She loved hanging out back stage or in a nice dark room on their tour busy *wink wink*. Rayne wanted to be a part of the awesome life she saw her idol living before her, so she would work and earn her way to stay close to her gods.
Her friend had told her about a crew gig coming up for one of Rayne’s newest obsessions, she immediately went and found a way to cast herself as their crew and groupie. Rayne was so excited to be trailing them on tour, surrounding herself with the people who pulled at her soul with their music.
