The Phantom Thieves (Persona 5 Game Interest Check! Need Yusuke Taken!)

Let Us Start The Game

Crime, Corruption, Abuse, Murder; these things happen under the watchful eyes of the top elite, while the weak and defenseless are unable to do a thing to stop it. Life goes on as individuals are beaten, blackmailed, robbed of all their earning and success, and no one seems to want to stop it. However, what if a group decided that enough was enough? The misfortunes and undoings of people's lives was unbearable to watch for so long, and with a new found goal, and an incredible and mysterious power, it's time to change the world for the better.

One heart at a time.

As of now, I've collaborated with some other users, and have decided to have a Mix of Canons and OCs. Looking over the roster, and getting other interested people's opinions, most of the Canons have been cut out of the list to make way for potential OCs that wish to take a spot in the Game.

For now, the Canons that are staying within the Phantom Thieves are as follows:

• Morgana (Taken)
• Yusuke (Needs Player)

Other Canons such as Sae and Goro will be played by other players.

The Protagonist spot has been taken and will be an OC, due to the Protag being somewhat of an OC in game regardless. The rest of the spots will be taken by other players that want to join the game, as well as NPC spots that can be taken for a spot as a Phantom Thief as well. My plan is for the game to not get too overcrowded; if it does, I'll come up with a way for all players to be involved and not left out.

As well, due to Persona 5 having dark themes, the game will contain Mature content. Be forewarned of the issues that will come into the game and what it will entail; if dark themes are not your cup of tea, I suggest not participating.

The game will be heavy on dialogue and interaction, so Intermediate RPers are recommended for the game, and beginner RPers are encouraged to get more experience in other RPs before joining. Grammar and correct spelling are KEY in this game, as well as a minimum of Two Paragraphs. No one liner posts will be accepted.

This will be a Free-form Game.

Yeah, depending on what people want in regards to characters will tell what we'll do about OCs and Canons. I'd like to have some Canons in the game (if we have to not all have to be in it), but we'll see!

Yeah it all depends on what we want game wise regarding characters; do we want Canons or all OCs? Or maybe a mix could be fun?

I personally would like a few of the Canons, simply because they are so much fun and I couldn't see the game without them. ;(

Well if we're staying completely true to 5's plot then we at least would need Makoto to be present since she's kind of pivotal to the events of one to two palaces ...Also Futaba possibly for obvious reasons. xD

xD Waifu material for you maybe but I'm still a Haru, Ann and Sae man myself (Sae especially because she seems kind of like a interesting blend of Makoto and Margaret from 4 :3). Tae though is an interesting little lady I will admit. x3

Though I'm sure we can all agree that Morgana is best animal mascot the series has had so far...especially cause he can turn into a fucking car(not a self driving one, but at least that's more useful than Teddy brought to the table!) :D

If I had to choose a canon that I would like to keep, it would be Yusuke for me. His story was so interesting and he's just such a strange but interesting person with a way of thinking not seen usually. He hooked me in as soon as I met him in game. X3

Yusuke is an interesting bean. So eccentric but yet so complex at the same time...also that boy can't flirt with women to save his life! X3

Makoto admittedly could easily be replaced, at least for where she's intially made a more significant part of the plot. Though she is crucial at one place if we're keeping to the events of 5's plot. xD

Hmm...If we're not having Makoto then can my guy possibly replace her as Sae's sibling? She is a pretty significant character to the plot after all and we would still need someone close to her who challenges her views on the Phantom Thieves. I'm kinda feeling playing someone who essentially would be the proposed spawn of Kanji and Naoto in both personality and possibly looks. ;3

...Also I might have just realized what my aforementioned character concept could entail. I see yarn dolls and police batons in the Thieves' future is all I will say at the moment. ;)

I've not met Haru, though Sae is visually Pleasing to the eye, her personality (At leasts as far as I've experienced leaves a LOT to be desired).

As far as Animal Mascots, Clearly Morgana is the best, but that is not saying much since we only really had Teddy before. The dog in P3 I'm not really counting as a mascot cause he comes in so very late in the game, and there is really little actual development with him other than a way to meet up with girls at night.

Give it time. When they release the Special Edition of P5 later either on Vita, or PS4/5. I'm sure they'll have a Female Protagionist you can play just like P3 for the PSP (which I have along with P3 for PS2)

Yeah, I think you would really need a mix of the two in order to make it a P5 game instead of a simple Fandom Persona Game.

The only thing I didn't like about Margret from P4 was how you progressed her Social link by presenting her with Special Persona. It wasn't nearly as engaging as It was progressing Cathrine's Social Link from P3 FES. I'm saddened that they carried that over to P5 too with the Twin Wardens.

Ann also is an interesting little chestnut...though her social link is where her character gets more complex. I am still rolling on the floor that they choose to give her Carmen as her starting persona. Like I get why the pro tag got Arsene and Ryuji got Captain Kid. But seriously Ann gets the manipulative gypsy witch? I'm just seeing it as a personality mismatch is all (I would've pegged her for Aphrodite, Medusa or Athena). xD

I'm genuinely curious about Morgana's Origins. I hope they don't make him(?) (Yes, I'm leaving the Question mark there as I suspicious that Morgana is actually a Girl) another Shadow like Teddy was.

I guess for the time being then,I'll make a list of Canons that will potentially be kept. The only issue would be finding people that are willing to take and play such Canon characters.

I'll start right now.
