Mass Magic and Effective Mayhem. (Exotic NC. Need Males/Females. SPOILERS!)

Is the world of Faerun fully adopted into the world of Mass Effect? For instance, there are ways for all denizens with enough money to get off world?

Beyond that, Im thinking of playing a Drow, and if not, a human. Does that work? if so Ill work on a character sheet. The closest thing I can up with for profession would be an infiltrator, so if you want me to stick to Mass Effect professions I can do my best. Beyond that (since I don't know Forgotten Realms or DnD rules at all), are there any base spells my character would know should he be a drow?

Lol it's not a problem at all Klamity and I enjoy the questions.  Infiltrator is your ME class yes, but you would start out with a Forgotten Realms based class as well such as rogue, warrior, mage, whatever.  I don't have any set rules or anything as far as what you can have or not, but I do ask that you be reasonable in your stuff is all.  A rogue would not have the powers of a mage, and so on unless you get your history worked in such a way that he had some mage training, in which case I'd allow it.  I don't mind helping you to get things going but I have to get up early tomorrow so I won't be around for much longer is the only thing.  As for ME and all that being together, no, the planet of Toril is not known by anyone in the ME universe, at least at the moment, so getting offworld is impossible without outside aid.  That is coming soon however in the form of the Normandy and her crew of assorted aliens and humans.  A Drow is ok but he needs to be of at least somewhat good standing rather than evil like most are.  The lowest in the morality chain I'll allow is somewhere along the lines of either Jack or Morinth if you've played ME 2 at all lol.  Anything less and we might have problems since we are trying to save the galaxy and all  ;D.

Hmm, is there any class in Forgotten Realms along the lines of 'Tinker' or inventor? Maybe he never knew what to do, or was unsatisfied. If neither of those options are availbile, maybe a Drow metalsmith...

And fear not! My character will not be as...'satanic' as Jack, but will be more neutral than anything else. If you were to place a point on a scale (of 10, in the x and y represnting lawfulness and neutrality respectively. What, im an engineer this is how it makes sense to me ^^;) he'd be roughly around (4, -1), making him half true neutral and chaotic neutral, while being slightly neutral/chaotic evil

Lol well good.  And I do not believe there is such a thing but that doesn't mean it can't be done.  A metalmsith Drow is a rare thing I hadn't considered, but that would help keep the fantasy armor and stuff up to snuff lol.  And, who knows, you could also enchant stuff for our ME brethren too if you really wanted to or just improve on the basics already present once he learns enough to do so of course.  The opportunities are endless in all honesty.

Personal History/Origin Story;  Being a male in the Drow society was bad enough. Drostan was outcast from his family for not being good enough. When he adopted the name Drostan, he changed he full name to reflect who he once was as well. The second born male in a family, he had little chance for any fame. When he couldn't even preform as they wanted him too, doing something like metal smithing, he was disowned, and shamed. The shame carried over to his city, and he was force to leave. Part of his name comes from Ghaunadaur, That Which Lurks, who is the Drow got of outcasts...in a way. Drostan does not actually worship him. In a part of the Underdark away from his home city but close to another, he set up a small forge in which he does his work now with very limited materials. Since selling to the Drow is very slow with his limited craft and gender, he sets up shop now and then in a small cave exit to sell to surfacers who know about him. When he even goes close to the surface, he wears a strip of black cloth around his eyes to protect them.

Ok, two problems I see here and I don't mean to be picky but here goes.  If you want to be picked up by the Normandy and her crew then you might want to be a lot closer to Baldur's Gate and on the surface.  Light sensitivity isn't going to be a problem since they make helmets with sun screens and all, but when it's not needed for places light Illium and other bright worlds it might be.  IC I'm sure we can think of something though lol.  Your ME 2 weapon though I don't mind you listing, but I do ask you don't get it until and IF we make it that far.  Beyond that, love the pic of Zaknafien you found and I wish you luck in this Klamity.

Hmm, im sure there is a way he can be close at hand. After all, I never specified which Drow city he was close to for that reason. Do you need me to rework him?

And don't worry, I don't plan on him picking up the SMG for a LONG while.

Baldur's Gate is on the surface and there's only a handful of underground Drow cities.  The one most heard about is Menzoberranzan, and that's a few days off from Mithral Hall which is in turn part of the Spine of the World Mountains.  That's just a bit of random trivia lol.  At any rate, it's not unreasonable to assume there's a Drow city that has passages reaching up to Baldur's Gate through their sewers if you want to go that route, but be careful since most Drow are obviously hated for very good reasons lol.  No, I don't need you to rework him, but just be careful is all since unless you've gained a reputation for being a honorable warrior or whatever, most cities on the surface won't even think twice about slaying your guy.

Hmm, maybe a character picks him up along the way? Maybe Giselle, since she is half Drow? Just an idea. If not I can come up with an idea to put him there.

Well, she might be half Drow but she's gained her reputation for being a hero without equal for the most part so she can walk just about anywhere where her name has reached.  We can pick you up however but you'll have to prove that you won't stab her or Tyger in the back lol.  Until then though, I can easily NPC some stuff for you to do if you want.

The RP has already started, although it's slow going at the moment.  There should be links on the first page to the OOC, character thread, and so on.  I ask that you put up a post in the OOC and copy your person over to the Character Thread before going for the IC.
