It is one hundred and seventy-five years into the future. The star systems colonized by Humanity, collectively called the Human Sphere, have been claimed by massive interstellar nations who trade covert blows in secret wars to control the balance of power. But an alien threat from the great beyond threatens to change everything...

The main human nations (PanOceania, the ultramodern Hyperpower; Yu Jing, its advanced competitor, born of Asia; Haqqislam, the new Islam of philosophy and humanism; the Nomads, anarchistic space wanderers; Ariadna, tough colonists stranded on a hostile world; and ALEPH, the omnipresent AI that pulls the strings from the shadows), along with the Tohaa, an alien race with its own mysterious agenda, must join forces to fight the outsider forces of the Combined Army and its master the EI, an alien artificial intelligence that plans to integrate the Human Sphere into its immense, all-devouring galactic empire.

Will they be able to put their differences aside, or will their infighting be their undoing at the hands of the alien invaders?

Will this be system or freeform?
We'll be using Modiphius' Infinity RPG system. The quickstart rules are available for free here:
http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/159673/INFINITY-RPG-FREE-Quickstart
and the character generator we'll be using is free to play with here:
http://infinity.modiphiusapps.hostinguk.org/

Do I need the book to play?
No. The character generator helpfully automates all the fiddly bits, and with a little help you'll be able to wrap your head around the context of what focus, geists, and infinity points actually mean. A simple 2d20 check resolves most conflicts, with the occasional d6.

What factions will be appropriate?
Any mix of Mercenaries and Submondo; I'm mostly interested in a party of Druze corsairs in the vein of Guardians of the Galaxy!

Can I be an alien?
Alas, we don't yet have rules for playing tohaa.

How much sexual content will we encounter?
The situations these space pirates find themselves in won't be necessarily risque, but I have nothing against sex scenes in moderation. The emphasis is on story.

I am so in for this!  XD

I would potentially be interested as well.

Dhi

Here's my idea.

Corsairs of the Stars

The Druze Society straddles the line between Submondo and Mercenary. Out of humble beginnings running extortion racket on an Earth space elevator, the Druze emerged from interstellar turf wars to become a semi-legitimate mercenary company with a sprawling caravanserai and great ambitions for the future.

Whether by birth among the wormhole caravanserai or defection from your former homeworld, you've thrown in with this lot of gangsters, thieves, scavengers and adventurers. You are the mercenaries corporations use to play dirty, and among the Druze ranks competition is fierce.

You are the crew of a smuggler craft christened the Dolly Dagger, which zips through the asteroids of the Human Edge. When a mining colony revolts, your company are the goon squad hired to break the strike. But all of that could change, if there is such a thing as second chances for space corsairs.

greenknight

Definitely interested, and threw a character together with the generator. He seems to be an infiltration specialist, with a focus on thievery, stealth, and a little hacking.
When you bang your head against the wall, you don't get the answer, you get a headache.

O/O: https://elliquiy.com/forums/onsoffs.php?u=46150

wander

Druze seems like it could be really cool. Plus the potential for Firefly style shenanigans though a lil more rough round the edges seems gold.

Is there any room for the random roll character creation?

Voidknight

Consider my curiosity piqued! I'm fiddling with the character creator myself. Wander might be amused to hear I've rolled randomly a cop.
Do we just post sheets here along with our interest or shall we lodge interest for now?

Sprikut

Im interested as well. Happy to play whatever.

Dhi

If you've got a character you're happy with, give it to me in shorthand first. A full sheet is quite long!

Faction: (final faction should be Submondo or Mercenary, if it starts as something else)

Traits:

Tell me a bit about the character's concept. If you're unfamiliar with the Human Sphere world, paint it in general terms. I'll be happy to help you out with what concepts like what Bureau Toth Agents do or what a Cube or Combat Jump Pack is.

I'd like to use Geists. These are lesser AI which grow with a person from childhood and assist you interacting with the relentless information stream of Augmented Reality. Joi from Blade Runner 2049 comes to mind as a Geist, or the disembodied voice of the ship's computer from Star Trek, or Cortana. It's even possible to load your Geist into a robotic body called a tinbot and have a physical droid, for a modest sum. Geists are left vague in the rules so as to cover a host of concepts.

Traits:
Survivors Guilt

Strong willed as a child Tilisa was the survivor of a transport incident gone wrong, the ship she and her family were on knocked off course after systems experienced a critical error. The situation broke down even faster as the people aboard paniced and a small riot broke out leaving most od the passengers dead or dying.

It was almost 2 weeks before the ship was picked up and Tilisa rescued, just on the verge of dehydration and asphyxiation when she was carted back to a Nomad military base for treatment. Impressed with her survival and tenacity she was offered a spot in the lower boot camps, which she happily accepted.

Modest progress through training saw her moved into the Military line. She served well, though her fortune changed when her squads officer paniced and ordered the squad to unknowingly open fire on friendly units. Tilisa restrained the officer, but due to higher birth status the officer manipulated those involved in the incident to lay blame upon her effectivly killing her career.

Disillusioned she left the service and got in touch with a mercenary contact she had made while deployed, with their introduction she defected out of the Nomads and into the Mercenaries. Joining the Special Forces (Those that had worked along side her were suitbly impressed to allow her to try) she held well with the rest of her group, even earning them a substantial Bonus on one mission when she managed to secure a cache of alien artifacts, the contract holder paying a substantial bounty for the items, with her holding princial.

Her next bout of training came in the form of a TAG operator, and while not as skilled as in her other duties she still proved quite proficent. Her term a disappointingly slow one she managed to secure another large bounty when she and her squad captured a supply ship while it was docked.

She now finds herself well funded, but supremely bored. Her Nomad heritage causing her to start to bristle under military rules she searches for more freedom working in the "Private" sector..

This is second one i did... first had their cube destroyed as a kid... then died in an event... whoops...

I might like to randomly roll as well, mostly because I need to brush up on the system before I make a character and that may take a few days, but if that isn't an option I will try to get a concept in later this week.

wander

Yeah, I asked as whilst I've owned the book for a while, I've never played and having the weight of picking what may be suitable taken into the whims of the dice would help me get a sheet done and ready. Also I did roll one before randomly to see how it went and I remember the process being pretty fun.

As for rolling a cop in a Merc game, they could be a former-cop that now in the present has joined Druze for whatever reason. Kinda like in Traveller, you roll a law agent and then join an Outlaw game, you just handwave it and say the character used to be a law agent though isn't anymore for x reason.

Voidknight

My last life event pretty much flat out said both criminals and law enforcement are gunning for me.

wander

That seems like a pretty good element to bring to a dodgy mercenary game!  :-)

Okay, I'll have a read of the book again (it's been a while) and see what I think. Would like an answer on if random-roll is okay or not though. I wouldn't want to start rolling and then be told that it's a no-go.

Sprikut

I believe the life path system is the only real way to generate. The character creator linked specifically does randomized events/careers etc.

Dhi

Sure, there's no reason you can't roll up characters yourself using the tables in the book. It will just take a bit longer.

Tilissa is looking good. Nomads live aboard huge space-roaming motherships, so that will be where Tilissa was taken and where she grew up. The flavor of the different motherships varies quite a bit, but the most famous is Bakunin, a haven of free thought and weird science like Rapture from Bioshock.

For flavor's sake, Nomad TAG models have lizard names: Gecko, Iguana, Szalamander, and their pilots are depicted with these body plugs to interface with the TAG.

Though with the medical science of the future, I'm sure she could have those taken out.

TheLaughingOne

Well, she became a Tag pilot after becoming a mercenary, (she started in military, but after getting framed for officers fuck up she bolted for better prospects!) do they use the plug things or some other means? (career wise i went with the hand circuit things), and even if, i can see her keeping the plug as being able to pilot giant mechs is Tits!

Okay, character building time. I have 5 Life Points and I'll be spending one to make the character Submondo for Decision Two, leaving four for the rest. Let's do this.

Wall of Text in character rolling up to 1st Career Complete. Will do 2nd Career etc in a future post to finish up.

Decision 1
I'm keeping each attribute at 7, as I'm unsure where the character will go skills-wise, so makes sense to me to keep them a Jack of all Trades for now.

Character is Human.

Decision Two
Spending 1 LP to have Submondo as Faction.

I'll roll for a random second Career Path, though for now that'll do. I'll come back again to this later.

greenknight

So this is Jaxx, almost all rolled up. No life points spent yet, I need some ideas o how these work and where they will fill in the gaps for a combat hacker/infiltrator.

Faction: Merc
Careers: Criminal, 7 years (convict), Special Forces, 5 years (rich squeeze)
Attributes: Agility 10, Awareness 12, Brawn 10, Coordination 9, Intelligence 8, Personality 8, Willpower 10
Signature Skills: Stealth 12, Thievery 15, Athletics 11
Talents: Rigorous Training 1, Thief 1, Bypass Security 2, Hacker 1
Traits: Dual Identity, Vulnerable (or very demanding) Lover

(The broad strokes) Jaxx grew up on the Jovian frontier without much to his name. He fell in with a bad crowd, took a dirtnap on the table, the usual growing up stuff. Eventually, he found himself on the wrong side of heist and went to college and then things got interesting.
Inside, he met some friends. And friends take care of each other. So his friends did what friends do; they pick you up in a surplus bacon box and offer you new shoes and a job. The shoes didn't fit too well, but Jaxx took care of that, and he does have a nice place to crash with a slick I/O port.
Jaxx doesn't take much all that seriously. The world's been knockin' him down and he's come up swingin' for as long as he can remember. It's time to live and, right now, he's livin' pretty large and that suits him just fine. Planning for the future doesn't really apply much beyond making the next score go smooth.

"Look, I'm here, and I'm gonna stay here as long as I want to. So we can split this handle and watch the ladies do their thing or I can split it over your head. Yer call, but my brothers're startin' to get curious."

(.pdf output from the character generator)
I need some details to flesh it out, but this is how I see the career path and life events rolled playing out.
When you bang your head against the wall, you don't get the answer, you get a headache.

Sorry for the massive post also, I'm going to spoiler tag it and finish it off tomorrow in a second new post.

Name: Talora Lakhani
Gender: Female (Siren L-Host)
Faction: Submondo (Defection from Haqq)
Careers: Corsair, Corporate
Attributes:  AGI 10, AWA 11, BRW 9, CRD 8, INT 11, PER 11, WILL 9
Signature Skills: Lifestyle, Acrobatics, Medicine
Talents: Physician, Graceful, Socialite, Bribery, Social Mimic
Traits: Suicidal, Hunted

Born into one of the many attendant families to the Caravansaries, upper crust. Talora the one to find the lady of the house's body, shoved down a flight of stairs. Haunted by the event and struggling under the pressures of the Haqqislam medical schools Talora ended her life as a young adult. Her family had other ideas. Reborn into a siren class L-host the young woman ultimately fled from her education, joining up with one of the many corsair crews. Medical skills were in high demand aboard the ships, even without a degree. It only took a few years before she was kicked from the ship, although nothing was ever a supply of experimental bio-tech in transit had gone missing.

Turning to one of Yu Jings leading bio-tech companies operating out of the Human Edge Talora got in with a cushy desk job. Acting as one of the corporations recruiters she spent lavishly to entice scientists away from their current loyalties. Of course, embezzling some of the corporation's funds on the side was a decent gig at first but stick your hand in the pot too many times and you'll get caught. Talora was left to flee for her life. In search of any freelance company she could persuade to take her on.

I believe my character is basically done- but I'm still struggling on getting setting details beyond the vague feel of it- seeking lore before I do much backstory wise! Here is my cheat sheet anyway.

Name: Isidora (Last name pending on research!)
Gender: Female
Faction: Mercenary (Fleeing from PanOceania)
Careers: Cop six years then one year
Attributes:  AGI 10, AWA 11, BRW 8, CRD 8, INT 15, PER 9, WILL 10
Signature Skills:Close Combat, Education and Tech
Talents: Natural Engineer, Disciplined Student, Martial Artist, Combat Specialist, Greasemonkey
Traits: Safety First, New Religion

Below is some extremely rough draft musing on backstory and it's pretty stream of conciousness- I'd ask anyone who knows the setting better than I do to point out the various ways that it's completely stupid.

So I get than PanOceania is an idyllic utopia of progress and welfare from my skimming thusfar, however her youth event featured witnessing embezzlement, thinking that perhaps lit a fire under young Isidora who was born to frontier life on Acontecimento to seek out fairness and accountability, which would both ultimately lead to her joining the police force and fleeing it hunting by criminals and the law alike.

Her education focussed on the scientific and an accident on the orbital she was visiting in her teenage years encouraged her to do her best to work out how things work and ensure that they operated to the highest standards of safety. Perhaps it was later in her career that she realised it was all linked? Corrupt authorities, paying criminal cartels for cheap substandard components used in constructing frontier buildings that are ticking time bombs waiting to happen?

I'll muse further on the new religion angles later when I'm better informed on the current states of it in setting.

PixelatedPixie

I am still trying to figure out how badly I butchered things, especially with Earnings and that last career bit, but this is what I came up with.  I still need to do research/reading, but the basic sweep (mainly trying to connect things, certainly not anywhere near final) is:

She was born to an upper class family in (what is currently) Mongolia.  Her family worked for the government, and life at home was regimented.  Her brother was killed (I need to figure out something good for this) when she was still young.  She got a white collar education with the expectation that she would take an office job with the government when she grew up.  She was bitten by a goat at a petting zoo, and took an intense dislike to animals as a result.

Once she hit 18, she got into the party life on her family's money.  She socialized with the upper class, made connections, and generally was a stuck-up and self righteous woman who counted on her father to get her out of trouble.  Her father, happy that she was making connections with others, gave her a small raise in her monthly allowance.  However he eventually grew tired of cleaning up after her, and forced her to get a job when she hit 21.  The only thing available at the time was a technician working (somewhere), a job where she fell in with a lower class of people, and found a love of shooting.  She worked as a technician until 24 when, feeling stifled and pressured, she fled home and got a job as a guide for the rich and powerful in a remote wilderness region.  While working as a guide she met a (someone), a woman with who she fell into an on again off again relationship.  It was also where she met (someone), who recruited her to work as something more than just a guide.

At 29, she began to work as an intelligence operative for (someone), a job she enjoyed  more than she wanted to admit.  She was eventually betrayed by her former mentor and boss, left to take the fall on a mission.  She barely made it out alive, and now 33, still wears the scars of the betrayal.

Finishing Touches

Infinity Refresh Rate = 2.

I will boost Brawn and Intelligence both up from 8 to 9 each now.

I'll grab up Acrobatics Rank 1 and Stealth Rank 1 in expertises.

I'll take the Scout Talent for Stealth.

My starting Assets are 12 (11 Personality +1 from Education) but I have a 50 Asset Debt.

I have 2 Life Points left, I'm going to go ahead and boost up both Ballistics and Acrobatics by one expertise each, to Rank 2 for both.

Firewall: 11
Resolve: 13
Vigour: 11

Bonus Damage:
Infowar: +1N
Psywar: +2N
Melee: +1N
Ranged: +1N

Added Gear:
comlog, Cube, Basic Geist.

I have an Asset Debt of 50, I couldn't see anywhere in the Acquisitions rules how to repay that. Potentially I could remove my 12 Assets to reduce this Debt down to 38 and it shouldn't affect my character?

I know my character has a maximum Cashflow of 9 starting out (5 + 3 Earning +1 Lifestyle). Having no Assets just means I can't trade them in to help buy things, right?

As Farsi (Persian) is their home language, that makes me think they're a Recreation based off someone more Bourak Shanate sorta deal, from the Haqq. Or someone historically similar to there. Though having Japanese as a second language is interesting, maybe some JSA links given they're Submondo. I like that idea.

I'm feeling that as a roving medical specialist, they may have even been a sleeper agent and Malay makes me think they were out in PanO territory, specifically over at Varuna (just a single C6 route jump from Concilium) when they switched to being a Corsair where they're at today with Druze.

Because they have that Farsi home language, plus the JSA link, they may have been on the C4 route originally as a Technician.

Dhi

I see the asset debt as a story hook. It would be impossible for a starting character to pay that off. Whichever criminal organization you owe that debt to is going to call it in in various ways. I see a 50 asset debt as 5 risky favors, 2 missions, or 1 favor that will ruin your reputation.

Assets are used by starting characters to buy gear. If you decide to start paying down the debt now, it will limit your starting gear to just what your careers provide, and going forward I suppose it means you're living paycheck to paycheck.

Assets as far as I can see are spent on bonus dice for doing acquisition checks for extra gear (see below for the actual test. It's in the Acquisitions Chapter fairly late into the corebook, well past character generation, which is weird as you'd think buying gear would follow up soon after chargen...).

Cashflow is a more important number, it's basically your actual money used to get items and goes down when the Cost of an item is applied. Cashflow is totalled as 5 + Earnings + Lifestyle Expertise.

Before that though you need to find a seller for your item, doing a Lifestyle check and the number of successes needed is the Restriction number of the Item in question. Assets can be spent to get bonus d20s for this.

You can also spend Assets to add back Cashflow or remove Shortfalls (which you get either by spending too much Cashflow in one go or running it to 0). I can't immediately see what the effect of Shortfalls is at a glance.

Starting to think with things like earnings and assets and such I probably want to get myself a copy of the book!

You have all your starting equipment, which is generally fine. It's possible to end up with no armor, or as a hacker without a program with a breach effect.

Step five of character generation talks about spending assets as the way to purchase extra equipment and upgrade Geists. I take this to mean that before actually starting a game session, your cashflow is 0 and you must spend assets to restore it.

But reading the acquisitions system for a fifteenth time, this doesn't make sense either, because if the cost of an item is below your Earnings you just get it, whether your cashflow is 10 or 0.

So I suppose ignore what page 71 says about spending Assets, and use the normal system. wander does a good job of laying out how that works. If you want to add gear, it begins with a Lifestyle test to set the price. If you're missing any sort of armor, if you're a hacker but have no hacking device, if you have a hacking device but no programs, talk to me and I'll walk you through making purchases.

It does mention that there, though I didn't see anywhere how much it would cost in Assets to buy Geist upgrades. The Lifepath chapter just refers you to the Gear chapter that just mentions the usual way of generating Cost etc.

The Gear chapter just mentions that the things to do with Assets are 1) extra d20s for the acquisition check to find a seller or 2) additional d20s on the Asset Management check (to get back Cashflow or reduce Shortfalls).

I just read that Shortfalls increase the difficulty of an Acquisition test and Asset management test (and if you have 4 Shortfalls, you have officially ran out of cash and can't purchase anything anymore (you can use an Asset Management test to reduce Shortfalls down) ).

Potentially, the Lifepath may be saying you can trade in Assets on a 1:1 basis with an item's Cost, though it says that nowhere outside the mention of assets (and small 'a' at that) can be traded for extra gear.

Earnings are basically reduced from an item's Cost to gain the Actual Cost for your character in Cashflow (along with going toward their starting Cashflow total). You can then choose whether or not you actually want to spend Cashflow on the item. You cannot make a purchase if your Cashflow would be reduced to under 0 and if you spend 5+ in one go or get reduced to 0, you take on a Shortfall.

That's the basics as far as I understand it, though I'm open to deferral, especially after hearing what Sprikut may add also.

Dhi

Trading Assets 1:1 for cost is how I interpreted it the first time as well, but in practice that exchange rate is really terrible. Even the wealthiest characters will be bankrupted buying two or three mundane things.

Let's use the normal purchasing system and assume the step on page 71 is just a poorly worded reference to that. So that being the case, a lack of Assets won't completely stop your indebted character from adding gear. It will just limit what you can afford.

wander

Btw, I wasn't contesting your rule, I was making an aside point to educate TLO as they were asking in between and I kinda needed to get my head around the rules also. ^^'

Sprikut

I believe the asset comment in the character creation setting is referring to the normal purchasing process. The game generally seems to assume you're readily in a place that you can go to a market and make purchases/have goods delivered as needed.

Everyone seems to have a basic grasp of the rules for buying In the last few posts. Basically:

Earning determine cash flow.
Cash flow is your disposable income.(5 + earnings + lifestyle exp)
Assets are random valuables you can sell/trade.
Shortfall is when your cash flow falls to 0 or you spend more than 5 cash flow at once. If you have a shortfall of 4 or more you can't buy at all.

To buy something you do Lifestyle test to find it. Difficulty is Item restriction + shortfall + the amount in bulk - assets spent.

Then you roll cost. Tariffs are added on effects rolled.

Then you can choose to take the purchase from your cash flow.

It's important to remember cash flow resets at the start of sessions and small purchases (0 difficulty + 0 tariff + cost of earnings or less.)  can be bought as incidental purchases without a roll.

You can reduce shortfalls using assets and a life style test. And this can be modified by living below your means.

You can also change your earnings/social class with life style tests and living beyond your means. But this reduces your cashflow.

Dhi

wander, I get it. Thank you for getting the info out. There's a lot to go through in terms of characters right now.

Let's talk about Traits. Those who have Traits, what do you think they mean for your character?

greenknight

Dual Identity: Jaxx might be the new one, having been assumed after his first career. Carrying on with the backstory that he met Druze in jail and they had a job for him after getting out, I think they set up the basics and he tweaked it himself. If Jaxx is the new shoes, I'm not sure he'd care if anyone found out; "You met me in jail  ::) ."
Vulnerable Lover: So the alternate to vulnerable is very demanding, and I think that might be more appropriate. She's got money that she's more than willing to spend on him, so I figure he's always dressed well when he's not at work, and he probably doesn't have much worry about, lifestyle-wise. She's is possibly the daughter or niece or something to mid- to high-level Druze management, hence she has an idea about the family business and

  • either she probably pushes him to to be less Zen, 'cause, "Don't you dare fucking embarrass me, tonight." Ding. "Mommy! Love the party...."
  • or, she has money, but there's some things it can't buy. It's the souvenirs he brings back as presents that she craves(?). And he comes home empty-handed....
So if we're in a position where we have to do something right because we can't do something smart, he might not mind losing a trait. But if he puts up with that, she must be a very nice trait.
Is the Dolly Dagger big enough that she has/needs NPC crew? Is she "ours," as in the party's, or is she owned by someone else? This character could be "the boss" or something, and she may or may not regularly be aboard.
When you bang your head against the wall, you don't get the answer, you get a headache.

For my traits-
New Religion- I'll need to understand the setting better to understand where she is coming from and where she is going to. It's cool that the setting does religion where a lot of sci fi tends to gloss over it- but I think I need a stronger grounding in the setting before I say anything concrete, I understand the major religions have morphed a little.

Safety First - I feel like I'm on even less safe ground with this one- but I'm thinking my character follows safety checklists almost religously, don't do a pre-flight checklist? That's how engines fail. Don't follow proper airlock protocols? That's how you turn people into human pureé. (Dependant on setting) In firefight in space? Get your sodding vacc suits on and buckle up. That sort of thing.

As a curiosity, what sort of content level you thinking of aiming for?

Dhi

I'd like the entire crew of the Dolly Dagger to be your characters. For each of you there's also a Geist which can potentially help with the ship's systems. For Geists without upgrades we're probably talking about mundane, difficulty 0 tests.

The ship belongs to you. Ships in regions of piracy are in abundant supply, since any battle or boarding action results in a lot of craft left drifting. I don't know who the captain of the vessel is. My instinct would be the person with the highest Spacecraft, but nobody chose that as a signature skill and nobody is particularly Coordinated either, so it seems like a six way tie for best starship pilot.

Content level is generally NC to allow situations that may be wanted when armed conflict and smut are in the same proximity. I don't have plans to spring anything on your characters. I found a picture of a cute character in Uprising and decided she would make a fun NPC, but tabletop games being what they are she will probably get shot immediately and you will befriend some horrid alien slug instead. C'est la vie!

For my Trait, I gained 'Annoying Parents' which I changed to 'Annoying Guardian' as my character is a Recreation, though their Faction was Submondo, so someone with 'connections' shall we say put the cash to create my character for 'the business'.  ::)

I mentioned before that they may have had JSA connections, who lore-wise are rebelling against Yu-Jing atm from what I can gather from recent metaplot hijinks. So I'm feeling they're probably a heavy from a criminal faction keeping tabs on my character like a mafia goon sent to guard the prodigal son kinda thing.

I am very open to expanding that or tweaking it to be more game-lore friendly. I also have a free day tomorrow, so I'll be putting together a little character bio like everyone else now I've pretty much done the character rolling stuff.

Sprikut

So I've got Suicidal. Im not entirely sure how to handle that one but given that they killed themselves ended up reborn in an LHost I imagine there is a burden attached. The burden of the cost of the LHost or the sort of futility of even death in a world with cubes? I also imagine Lhosts do a good job of  processing anything they might take to self Medicate.

It also begs the question of what do LHosts do in the serotonin/brain chemicals side of things? Does she feel better in a new body with a working brain?

I also got Hunted. Combined with Suicidal I pictured a steady burning bridges type history. Every time something goes OK a bridge is burned and the character carries on with some self destructive behavior of some sort.

I suppose that might be disruptive in a game though. Could adjust it. Perhapse she was framed stealing drugs or what have you from the office. And they went along with it do to a sketchy past?

Well.. from quick reading, it IS possible to die even with a cube, if its not reclaimed or damaged, the person is lost permanently. As for why they dont kill themselves, think of it along the lines of a Deathwish, they want to die, but they just dont want to snuff out but some Glorious sort of end. They want their death to have an impact in someway, Striking out against those that hunt them, against a faction that wronged them, or just in a way that would force the entire universe to acknowledge them..?

It is possible to have backups stored outside your cube as well though. You are right cubes can be destroyed. There's actually work interesting options they use to create Lhosts of people without cubes too.

I think the death wish idea is good. Definitely makes sense. Sort of lashing out for acknowledgement after the first attempt to end it didn't work out. Will have to think some more...

I actually got as my childhood event there was a suicide, so perhaps before officially linking characters that could be a way to link ours, Sprikut? Especially as my character is a Recreation built by ALEPH too.

Also, potentially the Lhost could have a neuroligical fault when constructed, or gained later, that causes the suicidal tendencies.

Heavily leaning to Lee Je Hoon in their role from 'Anarchist in Colony' for a face-claim. Still floundering a little on a character name yet though.

Hey! I have a question for people...

What sort of role are you picturing for your characters?

Mine is working Kinda as gun bunny, major military work (soldier, special ops, tag pilot) and now off doing her own thing after earning up some good extra funds and wants freedom..

Kinda fiddling with a second who is more of a Face (Aleph who defected to mercs when young).

So, in interest of not having competing character roles.. Who has what ideas..?

Edit: I should just use the linked creator :P I suck at this.

I realized I had rather badly bungled my last character, so rolled a new one.  Hopefully that is alright, if not I can go back and try and salvage the last one.

Faction: Mercenary (Heritage: Ariadna)
Careers: (after 1 year in prison), Assault Pack Controller, (spent life point to change faction here), Frontiersman, Academic, Bounty Hunter
Attributes:
Agility      10  +1
Awareness     8  -1
Brawn         9  -1
Coordination 10   0
Intelligence  8   0
Personality  13  +1
Willpower     9   0

Signature Skills: Close Combat, Stealth, Survival
Talents: Rigorous Training & Leverage, Martial Artist & Quick Draw, Scout, Self-Sufficient, Natural Engineer
Traits: Criminal Record, New Look, Space Sickness, Hunted

She was born and raised in Merovingia as part of the Ariadna faction.  Her family was middle class, but suffered some upheaval that left them... middle class.  Probably a military family that got washed out of the military.  Her childhood was regimented, and she was sent to a military school at a young age.  She was arrested at eighteen for a minor criminal act (I want to tie this into ALEPH, but am not sure how).  When released she joined the military as an Assault Pack Controller, but was eventually called in to face her superiors (she has a debt of 5 to ALEPH, which I need to figure out).  She was washed out of the military as a result of the meeting, and went to use her skills as a Frontierswoman.  During this time she used her money to get some sort of cosmetic surgery (undecided).  She became something of a quasi-expert in a niche area, and was hired on with a university.  She spent several years assisting them with their research, until a starship she was on crashed in a remote wilderness area.  She was the only survivor, and has an intense dislike of space travel as a result.  She became a bounty hunter so she could stay on the move, as the rich corporate husband of one of the dead passengers blames her for the death, and is out to get revenge.

Criminal Record: She did something relatively minor, but probably related to ALEPH.
New Look: I am undecided on how she changed her appearance.
Space Sickness: She hates space, even more, she hates landings.  She always keeps a space suit at hand.
Hunted: A powerful corporate executive blames her for a death.

I scratched the previous and just decided to use the creator you helpfully provided so as not to mess things up.  :P

Faction: Submonda (previously Mercenary, from Haqqislam (Iran)
Careers: (after 1 year in prison), Corporate, Corsair, Bodyguard x2
Attributes:
Agility       9
Awareness     9
Brawn         6

Intelligence  9
Personality  12

Traits: Criminal Record, Experimental Subject, Pseudo-AI

Asra El-Ghazzawy grew up in a poor family who worked the richest resorts of Norouz.  Her life, despite being poor, wasn’t that bad.  They lived in beautiful surroundings, even if their own home was cramped.  Asra worked as a maid even at a young age, and witnessed the assassination of a corporate employee by a local politician.  She kept quiet about it for years, as she was educated to be a performer and artist, only speaking up when she realized who he was.  She was arrested on false charges, and spent a year in prison before fleeing the planet.

To get offworld, Asra volunteered for a secret medical experiment with a front company of an unknown corporation.  It succeeded, somewhat, and she was kept on as an employee for several years for observation.  She eventually fled, tired of the blackouts, and signed on with a privateer group serving Yu Jing as a Corsair.  Her ship did well, taking a number of rich prizes and earning Asra a large bonus. Just prior to her second tour, she was called in to meet a powerful Yu Jing official who wanted to know if she had taken some gear from the captured ship.  They claimed it was Yu Jing property, and demanded payment.

Asra took work as a Bodyguard to earn more immediate money, serving Yu Jing and anyone else who would pay. (something about pseudo-AI here).

Roles: Face, Pilot, Combat?
Criminal Record: She saw something she shouldn’t have.
Experimental Subject: She doesn’t know what they did, or even who they are, just that she has blackouts and wakes up in strange locations.  (mental conditioning based on input?)
Pseudo-AI: Not sure on this one

First up... Going through this book, and WOW the lay out is BBAADD in places. Searching through gear for descriptions and its just one giant alphabetical lay out so you have to leaf through EVERYTHING to find what you need. Should have been broken into subject. Weapons. Armor. Lhosts. Utility. Ect. That way its easier to go through the info. Some more pictures as well especially considering some of the things are so out there from what we have its kind of a toss up of exactly What they are describing. What the hell does a Nabia lhost look like, much less a Orlando, siren or titan? Or even just a regular or antiquated Lhost? They need to do a bit more show, and could have sacrificed some of the misc random pics they have scattered in the book for that.

Its made especially weird in that the rest of the book is fairly well laid out really. Nice, contained, albiet a little unclear (like WTF is a Resurrection Lottery? or Quantronic Virus??? I cant find ANYTHING explaining what the fuck those are).

Yes, no argument the book is kind of a mess.

From the shorthand sheets it seems like most of the concepts hew to a scoundrel archetype, some mix of larceny and charisma. I'm curious what your concepts are, too.

The Druze seem to keep the old Abrahamic faith of the same name, a mystery religion combining Islam, Gnosticism and Platonic philosophies of Truth and Forms. It seems unlikely many mercs or pirates would be very far into the religion of it, but one who considers the material world an ugly imperfect reflection and answers only to an unknowable higher power could be a powerful justification.

Haqqislam is the main Abrahamic faith but has separated from old Islam to become more of a quasi-religious pursuit of knowledge. Much of the culture and trappings remain on the homeworld of Bourak, which has echoes of sci-fi like Dune and Isaac Asimov's Foundation series.

The creators of Infinity seemed to think that a biological attack on Vatican City would devastate Christianity worldwide, and while I don't think that's even close to accurate, the other Abrahamic faiths have diminished considerably. Catholicism is now a fringe which finds the AI abhorrent. If you've seen Altered Carbon, Catholic rejection of the AI is similar to the rejection of Stacks in that story. Now they're chic hacker nuns.

Eastern religions are largely untouched.

It was Uncanny Dodge, which I can't find in my book.  It might be Sixth Sense?

I had figured the assassination in her youth event was what she saw.  I put something about trumped up charges in her background. I didn't go into detail though.

Dhi

A resurrection lottery is going to be some kind of contest for an ordinary person to be resurrected after death in a fresh Lhost. A quantronic virus I think is a virus that transmits across the quantronic datascape used in future tech, as opposed to today's digital viruses which affect single systems.

What's the context?

TheLaughingOne

Both are parts of character generation, youth or adolecent stages, you can be involved in a "Resurrection lottery"

The virus one is if your an aleph, if you roll a virus or other sickness instead its turned to a Quantronic virus.

I think Uncanny Dodge was probably an old name for Sixth Sense.

Quantronic virus seems like a term to convey a technological virus rather than a biological one. The GM's Guide clarifies a lot of points but when it talks about viruses, the term quantronic virus is not used, and they seem directly analogous to viruses today... just more advanced to outmaneuver AI.

So if I wanted a Guardian Geist, which is Restriction 2, 2+11D, Tariff 2.

I would roll Lifestyle with a difficulty of 2, which means 2 successes are needed?

Then I would be rolling 11 dice, with 1s or 2s adding to the 2 base cost, and 6s adding 2 to the cost as well?  I would then subtract my Earnings from that value?
The cost would then be subtracted from a cash flow of 5 + Earnings (2) + Lifestyle (5)?

TheLaughingOne

Dont forget Assets, if your cashflow isnt enough to cover things, or you wanna lessen the impact it would have on your income  you can spend some points of assets to offset the cost.

Yes, that's right. Geist upgrades uniquely can be acquired with Hacking or Tech tests as an alternative to Lifestyle.

You don't subtract your Earnings. You do subtract any Momentum generated during the Lifestyle/Hacking/Tech test, which is any success over the required 2. Also as a special rule for Geists, you subtract your Hacking Focus (not Expertise).

Quote from: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric on July 31, 2018, 06:03:08 PM

That's right. If that would put your cashflow below 0, you can't afford it.

wander

You can do an Asset Management roll to get more Cashflow. Use Lifestyle for the test (so Personality + Lifestyle expertise will be the target number to roll equal to or less than) and spend Assets 1:1 for bonus d20s for the test, to get more successes.

For PAC, that Asset Management would be Personality 12 + Lifestyle 5 means you need 17 to equal or roll under (how did you get Lifestyle 5??). You have Focus 2, so if roll equal or under that, you get a bonus success atop your normal one on that dice.

You do reduce Earnings from the Cost total, though Earnings isn't affected itself.

QuoteCost: If the item is available, roll the item’s Cost. If
the item has a Tariff, add the cost of the Tariff for
each Effect rolled. Then subtract the character’s
current Earnings to work out the acquisition’s
Total Cost

Also any Item that costs 5+ gives a character a Shortfall.

PixelatedPixie

I don't recall how I got Lifestyle 5, I was just following the character generator.  Corporate gives 2 potentially, Bodyguard gives 1 (which I had twice) as an option.  Then High Society is the last maybe?   Creative education I think also has lifestyle, and the last from somewhere or other.

I'm confused  :-\  Or maybe I have the wrong version of the book or something.

On page 330 my book says:
"Momentum can be spent to increase the character's effective Earnings for that acquisition by one per point of Momentum."

"Then subtract the character's current Earnings to work out the acquisition's Total Cost."

Also, could I buy an Lhost with starting assets and work it into my background, or would the Lhost have to have been purchased with Life Points to be part of the background?

Yes, you're both correct. You do subtract Earnings.

Asset management talks about restoring cashflow, so I don't believe that test can put you up over your maximum.

Thankfully this is the most insane part of the game, the rest of Infinity is not this complicated.

@Wander
Witnessing my Suicide would be an interesting twist/connection :P

@DHI/VoidKnight
The Catholic church enjoyed a resurgence and is a massive influence over the Pan Oceania government. To the extent that they maintain massive military orders and hold a position of power on the new Pan-O homeworld. I'd say they're far from fringe :P It sounds like you're conflating St. Mary of the Knife with Catholicism as a whole which isnt true. The Moiras were a fringe group like the Templars that ultimately got pushed out of the church proper.

Thematically every faction in Infinity has positives and negatives. No one is the definite good guy or bad guy. Pan-O is heavily influenced by lobbyist groups and the Catholic church but they also generally provide higher quality of life than any other faction. Even the Combined Army is seekeing to find enlightment for all species under its banner. It has a noble goal it just is amoral about how it achieves that goal.

@TLO
Supplies to create L-Hosts are limited and so not everyone can be Immediately granted a new L-host. Each government has its own method for 'fairly' granting L-Hosts.

To my knowledge:
Pan-O The Resseurection Lottery is run by the Catholic church with people having the possibility to buy redemption from the church. Bank accounts continue to accrue interest to allow any citizen to eventually buy a new L-Host.

Yu Jing favours party faithfuls that will benefit society as a whole. I believe the two imperial families cannot be resurrected due to the political structure of the throne.

I dont remember haqq being elaborated too specifically. Based on their generally progressive government, low number of cubes and control of the L-Host making Silk. I'd guess they can manage to get L-host for most of those that want them. We know the Hassassins have their own process to record memories and transcribe them on new cubeless L-hosts. Possibly because some arms of the religion feel that Cubes are against the faith?

Ariadna and O-12 hold a proper lottery to my knowledge.

Nomads I dont remember anything on them but we do know they have black market L-Hosts and other wierd tech so they might not regulate it too hard. Just sell to the higest bidders to fund the mother ships? This is just speculation.

DHI has quantronic viruses right. I believe they also cover anything affecting cubes so it could be a physical item like nanites. I'd speculate that the Spesitor (Combined Army mind control tech) is technically a very advanced Quantronic virus.

PixelatedPixie

Just to check I am doing this right.

So a Siren Lhost is Restriction 3, 7+3D cost, Tariff 2, Maintenance 2

If I spent 2 Assets, I roll 2+2 dice against the Difficulty of 3.  I need less than Personality (12) + Lifestyle (5)=17

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 4d20
Comment: Siren with 2 Assets Spent
Result: 12, 20, 10, 13,

Which is a success but with no momentum.

I roll 3 dice for the cost.

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 3d6
Comment: Siren Cost
Result: 4, 1, 3,

Which because they are combat dice means the cost is 7+1=8?

I had no momentum, but had an Earnings of 2, so my final cost is 6.

If I start with Cashflow equal to 5+Earnings(2)+Lifestyle(5) I have 12 Cash Flow.

So I can spend 6, which leaves me with 6 but results in a Shortfall.

Is that correct?

I can then do Asset Management to make up Cashflow and get rid of Shortfalls?

That looks right to me!

Edit: Just realized you got a complication on the purchasing roll. This would be up to the GM To determine but usually affects either the price, time or police interest in the purchase.

Edit 2, Electric Boogaloo: You could also use your Socialite trait to reroll the Complication and potentially get another success.

Ok. I really am sorry, but this spending system is just making my head hurt and eyes water..

I have 24 assets, and earnings of 4, personality of 7, and lifestyle of 0..

HTF do i figure out the damn cost to buy something at start up?

The first step is to make a Lifestyle test against a difficulty of 4 (the item's Restriction). You have two dice each with a 35% chance of generating one success, so without spending Assets that's not possible. Assuming you do spend some Assets for bonus dice, that's where the cost comes in.

The cost is tremendous. 13+2n with a tariff of 4 could be as high as 21, though let's say for the sake of example it rolls out to 17.

Minus Earnings (4), you're potentially subtracting 13 from your cashflow of 9, so without even more Assets dedicated to that initial Lifestyle test, and a lot more dice, you likely won't be able to afford the item once found.

If each Asset is a 1 in 3 chance and you need +2 successes to find the item, and reasonably +4 momentum to afford it, you're looking at spending 18+ Assets and could still fail. It's a very expensive item and you're at a disadvantage purchasing anything.

TheLaughingOne

... I think if there is a Tarriff, when you roll cost, you add the tariff level for each "effect" so it would be 9?

Yeah.. page, 330, Cost: If the item is availible, roll the items cos. If the item has a Tariff, add the cost of the tariff for each effect rolled.

So with its tariff of 2, it would gain 2 cost from that 1 you rolled.

Yeah so in this case you'd get +1 on a 1. +2 on a 2. +2 on a 6. If the Tariff was like 10.

Dhi, could I have the Siren Lhost be the result of her background experiment?  They basically stuffed her into a new body, on top of whatever else they did.  Also, could I move any implants over, or would they be lost?

Voidknight

I saw space Shikhs mentioned somewhere around PO as well at some point?
Might lean towards making my character Catholic if there has been a bit of a resurgence, or perhaps split from it to the Druze faiths. She'll be approaching her new faith with the attitude that you should never stop questioning both yourself and the universe... So long as you go through the questioning checklist first.

As for cash related things- given I lack the books and that sounds _horrifying_ I think I might just stick to my starting equipment.

Thanks for the info guys!

Yup the Shiks are a minority in PanO but are generally respected. They contribute some elite commandos (Akalis) to the military.

We also know that Aleph takes alot of inspiration from the Vedas for its Police forces. Which suggests to me that Hindi faith is still alive somewhere in the sphere.

That seems problematic. Assets are abstracted to a point where they no longer represent a definitive amount of money but something above and beyond your own means. It's something I've considered and at least at this juncture I would say you need to know each other a little better before ordering power armor for another character.

I think you'll either need to take a huge risk, or go with some more reasonable armor. Regular Combat Armor is pretty good.

Talents: Thief (thievery), Natural Engineer, Design Savant (tech), Rigorous Training (athletics), Marksman (ballistics), Scout (stealth).
Traits: 'Annoying Guardian'.

Created by ALEPH directly as an agent within the NAA, this young man is a Recreation who was raised in the Concilium to hold memories of a being a young creative living a middle-class frontier life in Bourak. Crosses with Yu-Jing and the witness of a suicide at a young age would make them sympathetic with the JSA and other further fringe groups in their 'true' life outside of the VR implanted memory. Just how much of these memories were real based on their original host and what was added by Druze is up for debate. Upon finishing their education, they were collected by their Druze affiliated 'guardian' and sent to work initially as a technician where they were able to gain a handle on technology of all kinds.

Kai soon moved to chase an occupation in medicine in their mid-twenties once they got used to life outside of VR and became a roving medic based mainly around Varuna. It took three years to get close enough and advance to get access to the lucrative biotech housed there, before they let loose and took part in a Druze heist; unveiling their true calling as a Corsair for their paymasters, absconding with valuable loot and gaining a criminal record for this act. They have yet to be caught and have terrorised the jump routes as a roving Corsair for the past four years before joining with their current crew for their new Mission.

If a person in a birth host gets a Cube 2.0, could they jump into an Lhost and back with the Quantronic Jump ability?

TheLaughingOne

ooh!! Im using this as an example right now, no intent on getting a giant suit of power armor to start, thats something to aim for, a character drive and stepping stone on her path to getting her own TAG;3

And yeah, i kinda figured Assets as Schrodinger's "Cargo" Its in a box, and until you open that box it doesnt really have anything in it, but when you make an asset test and all, it just happens to be what you need to trade for that situation! more or less rough explanation. Its essentially just gear, data, or whatever thats not really useful for you except to trade for favors, momentary cash bumps, or settling debts.

And my question was, like second concept i have for a character is a Face. She is super personality wise, lots of points in lifestyle, persuade, and other things.

As example, Tili could ask her, as a favor (either between friends, or offering her some assets to take care of her own debt or what not) to negotiate finding a buyer and the purchase herself. She would still be there herself to make sure the armor fits, and is proper working condition and all, but the person doing the talking during the buy would be the Face as she knows how to actually barter in a way that doesnt involve being Very intimidating, looming, threatening, and so forth;3

Granted, yeah, your not gonna trust just anybody to do that, but im thinking in like Future respects, as the game goes an the characters get to know each other!

Just spent almost an hour on the char gen page working on a back up character (or maybe replacement for Tili as she wasnt well constructed for much beyond shooting). Got it excellent with good rolls and careful point spending. Aleph girl whos Btoth family defected to Ariadna ofr... ... Reasons undecided. managed to start a short lived fad earning her a nice chunk of Jink in the bank.
Hazarded into Sports personality (focusing on close combat so maybe some sort of MMA thing) when one day her agent and everybody just disappeared leaving her up in the air.
Went on to work as a trader for a time and managed to snag up a "lost" cargo which turned out to be relics (Im getting suspicious how often that roll comes up for me..) making another good little fortune (freaking 20 assets at 2nd job).
Missing the act of punching people in the face she started as a body guard working for a Merc General, managing to save him in an assassination attempt earning a good contact, and from there she followed him into Mercenary sector for work. Continued working as a bodyguard  (and i cant remember what the event was..) until maxed out on careers. Finish making her sheet, start to settle it... AAANNNDDD...

Page crashed. lost her sheet before i could save it as PDF..

Rolls
With the Siren Lhost I am at 7/12 Cash Flow, 1 Shortfall
So spending 2 assets to do Asset Management (Difficulty 1 due to shortfall)

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 3d20
Comment: Asset Management 2 Assets 1 Shortfall
Result: 1, 15, 7,

So that is 4 successes.  One goes to the difficulty, which leaves 3 momentum.
-1 Shortfall
+4 Cash Flow

That leaves me at 11/12 Cashflow and 9 Assets.

A Silk Attribute Augmentation is Restriction 3, Cost 12+3D, T1

So spending 6 Assets on the restriction roll.

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 8d20
Comment: Acquisition Test 6 Assets Silk Attribute Aug Target 3
Result: 20, 13, 17, 11, 7, 11, 19, 8,

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 1d20
Comment: Reroll the Silk Aug 20
Result: 4,

So 7 successes, which is 4 momentum.

So effective earnings is 2+4=6 against a cost of

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 3d6
Comment: Silk Aug Cost Combat Dice
Result: 3, 6, 3,

12+1 due to the tariff/effect.  Final cost is 13-6 = 7

So she is left with 4/12 Cashflow and 1 Shortfall.  But is able to purchase the augmentation (which can give +4 to agility?)

So spending 2 assets to do Asset Management (Difficulty 1 due to shortfall).

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 3d20
Comment: 2 Assets for Asset Management
Result: 14, 9, 6,

So she is left with 8/12 Cashflow, and 1 Asset.

Spending her last Asset to try and buy Tonfa Bangles.  Restriction 1, 5+5D cost, no tariff.

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 3d20
Comment: Tonfa Bangle Acquisition withh 1 Asset
Result: 1, 14, 12,

So 4 successes against difficult 1, leaves 3 momentum.  For an effective earnings of 3+2=5.

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 5d6
Comment: Tonfa Bangle Cost
Result: 6, 4, 6, 3, 6,

if the 6s do nothing, effective cost of 5+0=5?

So no change in cashflow?

If the spoilered rolls are allowed (and I can understand why not, since +4 is a bit of a bonus, not to mention the changes from the Lhost), she is at 8/12 cashflow, but has no shortfalls or assets.  She is in a Siren Lhost with a Silk Attribute Augmentation (+4 Agility), and has purchased Tonfa Bangles.  However she has lost her AR Eye Implants and Bioimmunity Organ.

If the above is allowed, I upgraded her background a bit to better reflect it.  If not I will have to rethink things.

Asra El-Ghazzawy grew up in a poor family who worked the richest resorts of Norouz.  Her life, despite being poor, wasn’t that bad.  They lived in beautiful surroundings even if their own home was cramped.  Asra worked part-time as a maid at a young age to help support the family.  She was cleaning the deck of a room when, across the way and a level down, she witnessed the assassination of a corporate employee.  Too terrified to speak, she kept quiet about it for years.  She was educated to be a performer and artist so that she could get away from the physical labour and hopefully into something more sedate and well-paying.  It was at her graduation that a prominant politican gave a speech, a man she recognized as the killer from years earlier.  She worked up the courage to go to the authorities and report it but, instead of anything being done, she was arrested on false charges and convicted of slander.  She spent a year in prison before fleeing the planet.

To get offworld, Asra volunteered for a secret medical experiment with a front company of an unknown corporation.  Asra doesn't remember the experiments, and even to this day she still suffers blackouts and losses of time.  What she does know is that she woke up in a strange body that was far superior to her own.  The corporation was thrilled at the results, but kept her in a gilded cage for years.  She was studied, poked, and prodded.  She grew increasingly restless with little to do but work and sleep.  As a result a pirate attack was a welcome surprise instead of a horrific terror.  She begged the pirates that attacked the ship she was on to let her join them, and to her surprise they agreed.

She worked as a Corsair for several years and earned a number of rich prizes, mostly as a privateer for Yu Jing.  It was while the ship was in a friendly port that she was summoned to meet the Captain as well as a pair of Yu Jing officials.  The body she was in, she was told, was a Yu Jing Bodyguard model and had been stolen from them.  They owned it, and they wanted it back.  They offered a compromise though.  Asra could work for them, and in return they’d let her pay them for the cost of the body.

Asra left her ship and took work as a bodyguard, both for Yu Jing and as a freelancer.  She fell in with the Druze more out of a desire for more money than anything, though their beliefs fit well enough with her own upbringing.

Roles: Face, Pilot, Close Combat
Criminal Record: She was charged with slander for pointing the finger at a murderous politician.
Experimental Subject: They stole her body and put her into a stolen one, but she doesn’t even know who ‘they’ are.  She still suffers blackouts and wakes up in strange locations, and has no idea what became of her original body.
Pseudo-AI: Not sure on this one.  Maybe some connectino to the Druze?

Okay, looking through the Gear chapter was a bit of a chore. I'm pretty happy with my starting gear and whilst I'd like a Hacking Device and some programs, that's fairly expensive stuff.

I'm very happy to in-game grab whatever my character may be lacking for a specific job. Also Dhi, if you think my character would benefit from a specific item, that'd be cool, lemme know. This is my first time playing and all and I may be missing something important.

My character rolls are on Pages 1 and 2, first post goes up to and includes 1st career, then Page 2 post has career 2 and 3 (which I paid two Life Points for, 1 for the third career and 1 to roll Faction) and the finishing touches.

Hey Eeeps,

So im reading through again a bit more carefully.. And on the starter buying.. its sounding like you can just straight buy gear from assets (within limits. like no power armor (not that i would if i could. I like that as a sort of character minigoal..))

"You may spend your Assets to immediately purchase
additional equipment, or you can choose to
save your Assets for later use." Page 71 under Step 5: Gear

Quote in question. Am i reading it wrong..? Really wishing i could find an errata or even just a forum that actually answers questions instead of just going on about how awesome their characters are..

And turns out i read the alien cache thing wrong, its not just add on 10 assets, its choose one item worth 10 assets... Need to read more carefully :T

You can improve this stuff as we play, or if you feel like you made a big mistake with your character, you can play around with the generator some more. I was surprised how quickly everyone had characters, I kind of figured you'd run into things like this and want to fine tune.

The augmentation is more expensive than that. The base cost you've rolled for covers the services of one surgeon making D2 tests with a target number of 10, and for such an extensive Silk procedure she's got to generate 10 momentum with that poor check before 3 failures. With the Silk bonus, every check has a 25% chance of generating one Momentum. Even rushing, injuring Asra and inviting complications, that's going to fail.

Every +1 to the target number adds +2n to the cost. Reasonably this makes the actual cost of the augmentation 12+13n or more. I don't want to step on the idea, but at the cost you've accounted for if I start rolling the procedure will be a failure for sure.

Dhi

I'd like to start the story this weekend. Are there any questions I missed?

More silk has been invested in them then the entire Yu Jing Royal Wardrobe) And then died final as the site hiccuped and lost their sheet stuff.

And sorry again for negative sort post back there. brains not doing great so might go silent couple days while get things sorted out. Still totally interested if you'll have me though.. just need to get my crap in order...

... Havent even really thought on Geist... likely go with the basic standard package as that alls jsut a bit beyond her...

I was thinking of going with the 'Cool Big Sis' trope for my character's Geist. Found it fairly easy to concieve as Geists are essentially exactly the same as Muses from Eclipse Phase as far as I can gather. I may go ahead and see about upgrading them, unsure just how quite yet.

I thought when Kai was a youth their Geist would be very supportive and inspirational, then as they entered adult life they'd be more like a helping hand/PA/someone to bounce ideas off. I figured by time they're a Corsair that their Geist would have a more extroverted personality with the above mentioned trope. Leaning heavily to Misato Katsuragi from Evangelion for them in personality. The look is still a little in the air, though I'll have a good think on it.

Dhi

We're here to have fun, don't worry about it.

A basic Geist is fine, but do think about those questions.

My hacker's Geist was an impish ghostly red cat which slinked about the AR world, drawing her attention to backdoors and shady dealings to always provide a conspiracy for her curious mind to chase. Its name was Laplace.

I'd like to do some Hacking fun, though the Hacking Devices and Programs seem extortionately expensive... I guess I could build up to them in-game.

When you get standard reloads, that means a specific reload can be adhesive, AR, normal, or stun, correct? And your gun that shoots standard ammo doesn't care what you feed it?

And, quick system check thing..

When making skill tests, its your Attribute+skill Expertise as Target number on 2d20...?
And with Focus your trying to roll under attribute+Focus, or just under the focus alone? (so if you have a focus of 3, then 3s count as a "critical" adding extra success to overcome the Task difficulty and add to Momentum..?

The Focus is basically your critical success, so if you have a TN of 10 and your skill has Focus 2 and you roll a 1, you get your normal success and a bonus success for rolling equal/less than the Focus. Its the second one, basically, that it's Focus alone you'd need to roll under to get the bonus success. Adding your attribute in would be pretty OP.

I haven't looked at Momentum yet, I should do that.

The latter. 1s, 2s, and 3s count for extra successes. This is analogous to criticals in the wargame, and crits for TNs over 20 when you have Focus > 1.

It makes sense it isn't that cheap, but I am finding this rulebook increasingly frustrating in terms of editing and design.  :P  I read "The cost of an augmentation includes the procedure necessary to install it." and skimmed the rest I guess.

I'll glance at my character and rework things.

wander has focus right. Note that you don't need to get a critical to generate Momentum, you only need to generate more successes than the test requires.

Brief question about getting upgraded Geists;

The game starts you with a basic geist, though upgrades modify the Restriction (I'm guessing that's finding someone who'd do the upgrades) and Cost which even though we already have the basic geist...

I'm guessing for the purposes of upgrade Cost we need to add in the Cost of the basic Geist for the modifier? Because upgrades are rated in "+X N", though we already have the geist as standard... or is it really just roll the N dice for the upgrades alone and see if Cost gets generated?

If the latter, I'm sure there's plenty of freeware and pirated apps floating around that could drive the possibility of null cost.

They all do have a base Cost of 2 before the +N dice and my character has Earnings 3, so with luck they could get free upgrades.

A few notes about geists:

First and foremost you can upgrade them using XP.

Second not all characters start with a cube let alone a geist. So part of the reason there are costs for basic geists is to have the ability to get them.

Third you can use Hacking, Tech or Lifestyle when getting a geist upgrade to represent making upgrades yourself.

Fourth Upgrades start at 1+1N T1 and then get more expensive based on the upgrade. The base cost is just the cost to go in and fuss with the tech/software. This is also seperate of the cost for the geist itself.

Onto my Geist.

I am picturing a sort of Rubiks cube esque item. Where the randomized coloured squares flickering and flashing when speaking. Observing/Tracking her ongoing trauma and rebellions. I imagine a somewhat restrained personal assistant, more of a organizer. As she moved on to the corsair life some of the time tracking tools making room for a basic piloting suite in case of emergency.

Build Momentum and spend it on additional dice. Get folks to assist. Give the GM Heat.

There are also Talents that do things like allow assistants to add 2d20 instead of one, or add extra dice in certain situations, or gain multiple dice from a single Momentum. Stuff like that.

Name: Tilisa Tangly (2.0)
Faction: Mercenary (Born Nomad)
Careers: Sports Personality (5 years),Military (2 years), Special Forces (4 years), Special Forces (4 years)
Attributes: Agility 11, Awareness 9, Brawn 11, Coordination 11, Intelligence 8, Personality 10, Willpower 9.
Signature Skills: Close Combat, Athletics, Ballistics.
Talents: Rigorous Training, Marksman, Quick draw (Ballistic), Reflexive Block, Martial Artist, Combat Specialist, Socialite
Traits: Survivors Guilt (can you choose to add extra traits, or only get them via path stuff...?)

Tilisa was still a child when her parents packed up their belongings on Corregidor and packed them onto a shuttle headed off to a new life, the reason for the move, and to where they were moving are unknown, especially in light of what happened.

While traveling the passenger ship was forced to land due to reactor issues. A distress beacon deployed and the ship landed safely the crew and passengers prepared to wait for a rescue or help to arrive. Instead, the Combined Army attacked. Drawn by the signal they swooped in laying waste to what meager defenses the group had constructed and began harvesting Cubes and captives. Almost the entire group was taken save a few that managed to run and hide in the wilderness, and Tilisa, who had been hidden in storage containers by her family. The coast clear she emerged to the ruins of the camp and set about surviving the best she could, and after almost a week she was found, weak from starvation and exposure, but alive.

Returned to Corregidor she was held in the orphan system for a time before her father's brother came to take her in. A mercenary who left The Nomads a long while ago he took her back to his Free Company for recovery and to raise her. Expected to live in the same manner as him, her life was strongly regimented and she received military schooling. While she wanted to follow in her Uncles footsteps and start with Mercenary work, she instead followed his suggestion to try other work before starting a military term.

Joining a sports combat team (live fire weapons with nonlethal rounds, and stunner melee weapons) Tilisa enjoyed a short career with a mild popularity, even having championship Pit fight which she managed to win taking home a nice purse. Though as she was still considered a newbie there were heavy rumors that her opponent had been paid or threatened to take a fall. Tired of rumors she retired and finally joined a mercenary squad.

Two years into her term things went south, her squad commander panicked while under fire and began panic firing at targets taking out a friendly squad before Tilisa subdued him. The commander's ego stung he bullied the squad and used his connections to push the blame onto Tilisa and destroying her career with the company.

After a time she was hired again by another company, an introduction through her uncle helping overcome the stigma of her last job. Working in a special forces group with the occasional side foray into Cube recovery, she thrived at the professional attitude of the squad, the comradery, and of course the pay, and serving with such distinction she managed a promotion in the company and several large gratuity for her work in the recovery of several high profile customers.

Now after a long night of drinking, gambling, and winning she finds herself owning a share of a ship and in a partnership with people she has yet to meet...

Ah, I skimmed that Ariadna characters (unless ressurrected) don't get a Cube and Geist. Makes sense as they're the base human dudes and dudettes... and doggo woofers.  ;D

On upgrading geists!

As much of the expense of
an upgrade is in recompiling the geist, purchasing several upgrades as a large upgrade package is quite cost-effective compared to buying those upgrades individually, though finding someone willing and able to apply a larger upgrade package can be more difficult.

An upgrade package has a basic Restriction of 1, and a Cost of 1+1§ with a Tariff of 1. The character should then select which upgrades they wish to purchase, before consulting the Upgrade Package Table, below.

Total the number of upgrades to be purchased. This will indicate both a modifier for the total Restriction of the package, and a value to divide the total Cost increase by (rounding down). For example, an upgrade package consisting of 6 upgrades, with a Cost increase of +10§, should divide that increase by 2. Add that Restriction modifier, and the divided Cost increase to the basic cost of the upgrade package, and use that Restriction and Cost to acquire the package.

SO! in upgrading your geist... Your base cost is 1+1N.

So Tili's geist HuehueCoytyl has base 4 stats for sake of.
I want to upgrade his intelligence by 4 more points (max of +12). an Attribute points increase cost by 2N each point, so for a +4 it adds 8N to total, so 1+8N,
from there i want to give him some Hack upgrades each expertise is a +1N, and each focus is a +1N as well. (expertise is +3 max, focus is maxed by Expert) So i add in 2 expertise and 1 focus, adding 3n to cost (1+11N). Talents cost the talent level X2, so level 1 talent costs 2N, level 2 costs 4N, and level 3 costs 6N. Dont need any of those just yet, so nothing (still 1+11N). And finally adding/removing traits is +3N each.

From here you count up the total Number of upgrades, so each +1 attribute, +1 expertise, +1 focus, talent, trait, ect. at 1-3 the restriction level is 0, and you divide the cost by 1,
4-8 is restriction 1, cost divided by 2,
9-15 is restriction 2, cost divided by 3!
And so forth!

Last thing to look at it How much it adds. If your boosting more then 1 attribute at a time, it sets the tariff to 2, And if your boosting 1 or more attributes to 10 or higher its tariff 3!

So end cost is 1+6N, restriction 1, and tariff 0 for a upgrade of 4 intelligence, 2 hacking expertise and 1 focus.

At that cost it might be worth it to add in a couple more things, boost attributes a bit more (some points into awareness maybe), max the boost on hacking or some mroe for another skill. ect!

And from there you roll as normal, but as Dhi pointed out you can roll using Hacking or Tech instead of lifestyle!!

Yep for reasons of the Lifepath, Ariadnans would be classed as having one if they die when generating them.

Under Gear in Finishing Touches it's noted if not ressurrected that an Ariadna PC wouldn't get a Cube in their starting gear, which makes sense as lore-wise they were isolated from the Human Sphere and are regular humies with 21st Century fighting equipment.

I redid things from scratch yet again, mostly because I was playing with the character creator (which seems very buggy, and easy to cheat with...why would you let people click back? wtf) and realized I should actually be using Life Points instead of hoarding them to roll 2 extra careers at the end.  However I understand rejecting the change for any number of reasons (it is somewhat gamey to redo my concept multiple times, and kind of makes me that player) and no hard feelings if you do.

I spoilered the sheet, and purchased.  I succeeded in purchasing a defensive hacking unit (it seems useful to protect from brain blasts even if it isn't her focus?), but failed in purchasing a spotbot (well, succeeded in finding it but was 1 momentum short of being able to afford).  However the roll did generate a complication.

Faction: Submonda (via Corporation, from Neoterra)
Careers: Academic, Remote Operator, Corsair
Attributes:
Agility       8
Awareness    10
Brawn         5
Coordination 12
Intelligence 11
Personality  12
Willpower     9

Signature Skills: Pilot, Persuade, Discipline (which for some reason isn’t marked on sheet despite being 5)
Talents: Charismatic & Enticer.  Ace.  Stubborn.  Hacker.  Marksman.
Traits: Nagging Injury, Disowned

Trishna Chaudhari, more often just called “Trish” by those around her, was born on Neoterra to a powerful family that believed in ‘old values’ as her father put it.  She was expected to comply and her entire childhood was scheduled and organized.  She had little time for play.  She was to study, so she could get a good education, so she could get a good job, so she could get a good husband, so she could he a success.  Her only outlet was gymnastics, which her family let her practice only because she won several competitions.  She was forced to drop out after injuring her knee in a bad landing, and to the tutting and “I told you sos” went off to college.

Trishna was 3 years into her program when her uncle, heavily in depth to a criminal organization, came to their family begging for help.  Trishna was forced to drop out of school so her brother could stay in.  There was no money for both to attend and, as her mother put it, “she could just marry up.”  Fed up she fled home and begged for a job from an old professor.  He offered her a position on a research ship, piloting remote vehicles both underwater, in the air, and on the surface.  It wasn’t until several years later that she discovered it was a cover for an illegal salvage operation, collecting military hardware from a number of crashed ships to sell on the black market.  She was arrested and charged along with much of the crew.  Unwilling to face her family, or face prison, Trishna skipped out on her bail and headed for the stars.  She has spent the last several years putting her talents to work for various criminal enterprises.

(I am not sure on her youth event, as I can’t think of a good secret)

Sheet
Purchases

Base Cash Flow is 5+2+3=10
Base Assets are 13
So to buy a defensive hacking device which is restriction 2, cost 9+2D, T1
Spending 5 assets...
An Armbot which is restriction 3, cost 12+3D, T1, Maintenance 2

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 7d20
Comment: Purchase Defensive Hacking. 5 Assets Spent. Target 15
Result: 16, 14, 14, 11, 2, 16, 11,

That is 6 successes, 2 go to the difficulty, which leaves 4 momentum.  Earnings are 2, so effective earnings are 6.

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 2d6
Comment: Purchase Defensive Hacking. Cost
Result: 6, 2,

So final cost is 9+2+1=12, but minus 6, so 6.

That leaves a Cashflow of 4/10, 1 Shortfall, and 8 Assets.

Spending 2 Assets on Asset Management

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 4d20
Comment: Asset Management. Target 15. D1.
Result: 18, 16, 12, 12,  (I meant to only spend 2 assets, but misrolled, but I guess it worked out for me)

That leaves Cashflow of 4/10, No Shortfall, and 5 Assets.

To purchase a spotbot using all remaining Assets

Roll Result: PerpetuallyAnnoyedCleric rolled: 7d20
Comment: Spotbot Purchase. 5 Assets. Target 15. R1
Result: 11, 20, 11, 3, 19, 20, 18,

Which is 3 successes and a complication, which is too few to purchase the spotbot.

Trishna's Geist 'Hinter' takes the form of a HUD.  It displays various bits of information over her field of vision, summoning up text and images like crude old-fashioned operating systems.  When it talks, in a feminine but somewhat robotic voice, a small waveform shifts in the upper right of her vision.  When it gets excited or wants to draw her attention to something it occasionally flits about in the shape of a glowing cube that varies in colour based on its mood/emotion.

Question which i probably missed...

How is cash flow refreshed for beginning spendings..? Cause if theres no refresh our characters havent bought Anything until this point, but somehow saved no money beyond whats in their earnings account. So tili in attempting to buy a guardian geist spends 3 CF(cashflow) and only has 6 left, to get gear despite having lived for 33 years and evidently bought nothing...

If... its not a big thing.. I have a suggestion on this..?
Its some extra book keeping.. But go through several phases, Adolescents, Career 1, career 2, career 3, And career 4. In each of those phases you can attempt buying as per normal. At Adol your using your familys earning rating from life style, maybe Half your personality worth of Assets rounded down (which are lost at next Phase), plus any assets you get from career events (which do carry over if they are left), and roll as normal. maybe shortfalls carry over unless you spend the assets to clear...

So Tili at adolescence was from middle class family, earnings of 3, had a personality of 7, and lifestyle skill of 0. for personality 7 she has 3 assets to bandy about with. Her cashflow would be 8 (5+3+0), and 3 assets to try to get things with. Which is unlikely to get her anything major, but could get a nice bauble or such (so something within reason, unlikely to get any guns or things like that, but could afford a nice geist upgrade)

Then at Career 1 you use your earnings for that level (as a sports personality she has a 3 in earning again) So shes at CF 8, but now has a 9 in personality for her attempt as she got the +2 personality. And 4 assets  to spend as well! This gives her a chance to say, as sports personality buy up fancy sword, signature gun, or bit of armor for edge in competition (again, within reason)

Career 2: Same as before but earnings down to 2, (god damn rookie greenie expects higher pay cause she played grab-ass on the flaking Maya!?!) But has 9 assets (4 from personality halved and rounded down, and 5 bonus from career event)

Career 3: She is back up to 3 earning (Ok. So sports girl has some moves and got a promotion.. good for her. Still god damn greenie) Assets are now 4+ lets say... 2 (she burned through most her assets in military trying to find some better gear but got nowhere) left over from her prize money.

And career 4 is... Now. Still at 3 earnings, but gets her full personality in assets. And all rolls will be done with final sheet as its the purchases she has made just before game starts.

Its a chance for us to try and buy a few more things, but just a bit more difficult with no guarantee of actually getting it... ... So kinda like when you(we) were younger and left staring at all the cool things we wanted but couldnt quite find/afford.

Hope thats not to extensive of a thing, but gives us a little chance to kind of expand our stuff within reason..?

Cash flow is refreshed at the start of a session. Part of why character creation doesn't refresh earnings is because your assets and starting gear are partially representative of what you've put money into.

Kind of thankful I have the book infront of me, as I could see when I did my two careers I needed some weapon skill and an actual weapon, so used two Life Points to get the 3rd career and then choose to roll Faction, because Submondo has very active careers for weapons hijinks.

As it stands I'm glad of that, as my starting gear is pretty good as is. I am peering through the Gear chapter, though I think really in starting it's best to just get some basics, like weapon, armour, some items sensible for your skills.

The awesome stuff can be picked up in-play, so no need to navel gaze or house-rule stuff atm.

Only a cost of 5...? Could it be this guy has no idea of what he has got aside from a good quality blade..?
Now, cost minus earnings nicks 2 from her cash flow leaving her with 4!

She makes some calls liquidating favors and goods...

Not bad at all! Her locker has a bit more space (she really didnt need those autographed rookie Combatant cards anyways..), and her bank accounts just a little fatter. Though she should have checked a bit better.. ( restored to 9 CF! But 1 overage is lost to the digital devils of the Maya!!!)

Next, Medical side she is a bit lacking, so an Idea has come to mind!

Geist Upgrade! HueHue goes to College

So she spends her time surfing and pieces together a package for HueHue, time to get some medical support she can trust on the field. More or less..

So first she lines up top line medical programs (3, so +3 cost) And focus of 3, (additional +3 cost), And loads up a Physician program (+2) and Field Dressing routine (+4). And just because, she adds some observation (1 so +1) to help..
Total Cost: 1+13N. Total of 9 upgrades, so divided by 3. End cost: 1+4N. With all the upgrades it comes with a restriction of 2 (my bad in my first explain. Basic restriction is 1. Add each tiers restriction on top of that) But there are no Tariffs, so she thinks she is set! Time to see if she can find what she is looking for!

Ouch. 2 hits, so effective price is 3, vs her Earnings (5 with momentum from aquisition)! 3-5=-2(=0) She has had enough squirreled away to grab the package! (<HueHue> Thats what she said..)
without a big hit to her CF! (result of 0 cost her nothing)

Now, for stage two!

Paging Dr HueHue!

So a geist with medical programing isnt much help... So time to give the pervy program a physical presence! Time for a bot!
She is tempted to try and find a zondbot in honor of her nomad heritage... But that seems a little out of her league so she settles fora tinbot, as you can find them pretty much anywhere.
With restriction 0 she doesnt need to really search at all.. But spends some time and little bit of assets anyways looking for that good deal.

Even at good market price! TC is 6, earnings is 6, 0! Cost is eatten by her earnings! Tinbot aquired!

And thus the buying adventure ends! FOR NOW! or not. I dont know.. I really should have eatten and drank things a while ago.. Maybe gone to sleep... So tired...

Please dont be to mean when pointing out my screwups!!

I'm glad you got the Geist upgrade cost figured out, and it sounds like we're in the final stages of developing these characters. The sheets are looking good.

TheLaughingOne

yep! I like it in the "PC vs Mac" sense.. ... If the mac was still like a PC in that you can modify it and all however you like.

... It also occurs to me that i went through all that to get a little medibot setup.. And totes didnt buy a medkit.

Fook.

Hehe, oh yeah..

And when you find the info on the cheapest tag unit in the book, do the fake rolls, and find out it is "totally" possible!! ...

Not that she could afford the maintence costs... or has the skill to pilot. Or ton of other issues...

<Tili> Check it!! I got a gecko!!
<other crew> Nice! You know how to pilot a tag!?!
<tili> ...
<diff crew> how are you going to pay the maintence costs..? Do you even know how to fix one..?
<Tili> ...
<some other crew> ... where are you going to put it..? I dont think we have the hold space....
<Tili> ... i got a great deal on it!

I should look to format my character sheet somewhat into a cohesive proper one. I am tempted to sort a customised Geist out, though I'll need to see my full skill list before I consider which 4 skills I want to give my Geist and how I'd boost them up (or if one of the prefabs may be a good call).

I think I forgot to buy some hacker programs.  Boo.

I will probably convert the PDF sheet to text, just so it is easier to deal with, but otherwise am ready to go minus any last minute cheap purchases.

So if I wanted to upgrade my Geist with +2 Aware and +1 Analysis, it would be
Restriction 1, Cost 1+6D, Tariff 2?

But if I wanted to upgrade my Geist with +2 Aware, +1 Analysis, +1 Observation,
Restriction 2, Cost 1+4D, Tariff 2?

Heyya Perp!

SO! on the geist thing (page 351)..

First Set: The cost would work out as +2 awareness = +6N and +1n for analysis. Tariff would remain T1 as it doesnt raise more then 1 attribute, or raise anything beyond 10. And Restrict would be 1!
BUT!! As there are only 3 upgrades, the total cost would be divided by 1... So it would remain at 1+7n
End result Restriction 1, Tariff 1, Cost 1+7n

#2
Pretty uch the same but +1 Obs. the big change here is it puts it into 4-8 range, thus the cost is divided by 2 lowering it to 4. But it also adds the +1 so restriction 2, tariff remains the same.
End: Restriction 2, Tariff 2, Cost 1+4N

Its a weird sort of thing with how the bigger packages cost less (depending on what your upgrading), but its balanced by the higher difficulty of finding them.

And something i missed!! Characters with hacking can add their hacking focus to their effective earnings when calculating end cost (as it shows that they can do most of the work of putting hte package together themselves)

Perpy's numbers are solid. Awareness is an Attribute, so it's +2n per +1 and increases the Tariff to 2 (mentioned in the text).

Base: Restriction 1, 1+1n, Tariff 1
+2 Awareness: +4n, Tariff 2
+1 Analysis: +1n
Total cost is Restriction 1, 1+6n, Tariff 2.

I hope that helps. It's good to endeavor to be accurate, but this oughtn't feel like doing your taxes.

TheLaughingOne

aaahhh Fook!! Sorry!! numbers arent my strong point and i get them jumbled in my head:(

And... Yeah, guess my bad on the tariff part as well... :T some reason stuck in my head it had to be upgrading 2 different attributes.. not just 2 att upgrades total...

Erf. Totes dropped the ball there on that one:( Sorry..
