Beyond the Dragon

"Let us together summon a great council, as the Old King did in the days of old, and lay the matter of succession before the lords of the realm" Alicent Hightower

Queen Danerys Targaryen sits the Iron Throne. Three times a widow she has no King. Drogo, Hizdahr and Jon are all gone. Rhaego she lost before he drew breath, Aemon her miracle she lost as well. Even her grandson Jaehaerys has passed. With no heir and refusing to allow the realm to be plunged into chaos Daenerys and her small council decide to summon a Great Council. Lords and Ladies of the realm can stake a claim and a vote will be made.

Game of Thrones - Beyond the Dragon is a freeform, fluid and sandbox style group game that takes place in George R. R. Martin's Westeros.

This game will largely follow the show until season six. There are changes after that place the game in a different setting then the show's end left. Blank spaces that are filled in with book lore are welcome.

This game will consist of Lords and Ladies coming to King's Landing for a tournament and Great Council decide who will be the next King or Queen when Daenerys passes.

Players may take on the role or Lord or Lady, smallfolk are also welcome but due to the nature of this game working out a connection to a player who has a noble character is suggested as this will allow more opportunity to interact with other players.

Major credit to Rel Mayer and Red Lobster for inspiring GnothiSeauton who has allowed Game of thrones Ascension to be rebooted and tweaked into this game.

Rules
Real Life comes first.  Don't feel under pressure.  Writing can always wait, this should be a fun game. Not something that players stress over.
Be respectful of other writers.  Pretty self explanatory.
Don't take IC Drama seriously.  Characters are not representations of the writer. In game there will be vying for the Throne, characters will say and/or do thing you may not agree with as a player. Do not take it out on the player.
Speak up. If you feel a player is being disrespectful or causing a problem that you feel needs a neutralparty let me know.
Be respectful of other writers IC.  No godmodding.   Keep an eye on whether a scene is open or close.  Don't kill characters without discussing it with other writers.  Watch out for the content warning in the header for scenes you may not want to read. Ask before creating a scene with another player's character.
Don't be afraid to speak up if you have ideas or thoughts.  I welcome discussion and input, from everyone.
If you're going to leave or need a break let me know.  This is so that I have an idea of the number of active characters.  If you just need a break we can come up with a reason for your character to be unavailable for a time.
Use the header for IC posts This is so others can check the rating tag.  The header is there for to make things simple and organized as playable dates will be spread out and not everyone keeps the same pace.  Additionally, not everyone is into extreme stuff so a warning in the header lets others skip reading a scene they may not agree with.
This is not first come first serve. The Lord/ Lady Paramount, Warden/ Wardeness and members of the small council are important and powerful people. If you wish to play one of these characters please understand that I will be choosing not who asks first, but the player who seems best suited to fill the role.
Work together If someone is already playing a character in the House you want to be a part of PM them, ask if they want a spouse/cousin/brother/sister/etc. In the game setting there are sometimes huge families. Keep that in mind and do not be afraid to make connections with other characters
Three characters max Household servants/sword swords/ other people that will be in repeat service can be an NPC, be mindful not to make them a forth character.

Please PM your final character sheet submissions to Caela and myself.

#3

WARDEN OF THE NORTH, LADY OF WINTERFELL
THE NORTHERN WOLF, THE RED WOLF, THE DIREWOLF'S LADY

Age: 26
Political Status | Occupation: Warden of the North
Allegiance: The North | The Iron Throne

Appearance: Tall and statuesque, Lyanna towers over most other women at 5'11 in her bare feet. After her height it is a fight between which a person notices first, the flaming red mane of curls (so reminiscent of her Grandmother) or the flashing amber gaze that has often led to her being compared to the wolves that are her constant companions. While there is often a smile on her lips those eyes hold a person's attention because they are constantly moving; assessing, the world around her and the people in it with keen intelligence and a confidence born of the surety of knowing her place in the world.

While at Winterfell, she keeps her garments simple. Her dresses (if you can get her into a dress instead of leather riding breeches and a belted tunic) are usually in muted shades of green, dark blue, or brown. While she has elaborate gowns for special guests or occasions, they are rarely brought out. She doesn't feel the need to flaunt her status in her own home. She knows who she is and so do her people. There's no need to use uncomfortable clothing to flaunt her status. Outside of Winterfell she can use her clothing to emphasize her status as Lady Stark, Wardeness of the North. More vibrant colors and dresses can be drawn out, as well as matching boots or slippers to emphasize her height and the athletic length of her limbs and to give her lithe form a touch more curve to her silhouette.

Face Claim: Katherine McNamara

Personality: First impressions of Lyanna often bring descriptions like, warm, charming, bubbly, intelligent, friendly, sweet, easily amused and slightly naive. This is the face that Lyanna shows the world outside of the North and the reputation that she has worked, over the years, to build among the other Houses when they have either had visitors to Winterfell or gone to other Houses or even King's Landing for affairs of State. Few people outside of the North have any clue of the true depths or fierceness of the Red Wolf's personality.

Those that know her best would laugh at the idea of the redhead being naive, though they would say that the rest can be true. To those who know her well she is also thoughtful, clear headed, firmly grounded, loyal, fiercely determined, protective, and the best leader many have seen from House Stark since her Grandfather Ned. She puts the well being of her family and the people beholden to them above all else and all of Winterfell (and the North as a whole) knows it.

Motivations: Lyanna's main motivation is always to see to the well-being of the North as a whole. After that she seeks to support and aid her friends and family in whatever ways that she can.

History: Born in 330 AC, 25 years after the defeat of the Night King, the first grandchild of Sansa Stark, Lyanna is named after two famed Stark women, her Great Aunt, and her Great Grandmother who were much beloved of her Great Grandfather, Ned Stark. Lyanna never knew her mother, as the woman died giving birth to her and she never knew her father well as he tended to avoid the child he saw as being responsible for the loss of the woman he'd loved. This left her much in the care of her Grandmother, Sansa, and the staff of Winterfell, all of whom were all to happy to regale her with stories of her namesakes and happier times before the War of Five Kings. Growing up on stories of her Great Grandfather, his bride, his sister, his famed friendship with King Robert Baratheon and the ensuing chaos that followed in the wake of his generation, Lyanna found herself grateful to have been born under the peaceful reign of Queen Daenerys Targaryan and her King Aegon Targaryan - formally thought to be Ned Stark's bastard Jon Snow. Years of such stories left her with a profound pity for the way that her Grandmother was used by the Lannisters and Boltons, before she was able to free herself and came into her own as an adult, a woman, and a Stark. A pity so profound that she vowed to herself she would never allow herself to be used in such a manner by anyone.

Vowed it not just to herself, but at the foot of a Weirwood tree to make the oath binding.

As she grew, however, she found that her determination to fulfill that vow led her down a different path than what her Grandmother wanted for her. She ended up distancing herself from the redhead that everyone said she looked so much like, finding other ways to spend her time than among the more "feminine" pursuits that her Grandmother often suggested. Instead of needlepoint, spinning, baking, or weaving, Lyanna could be, most often, found out on the practice courts among the men of their Hold. There she was indulged in the way of rough men with children and taught the things that interested them, and her, the most. At the feet of their household guard she learned the way of horses (riding and caring for them properly), survival skills, hunting, archery, the basics of swordplay, and how to use a quarterstaff but the weapons that seemed most natural in her hands were actually a set of matched daggers. She excelled at knife fighting and even progressed to learning how to, effectively and efficiently, fight with two daggers against any weapon their guard could bring to bear.

Learning to fight, ensuring she would never be a victim, was the happiest part of any day for Lyanna, but she recognized that to truly keep herself safe (and she didn't truly trust anyone else to do so) she needed to know how to play the Game of Houses as well. To that end many hours were also spent with their Maester learning history, languages, reading, writing, the running of a household, and basic medicinals. Time was also spent among her Grandmother's courtiers learning how to smile ever so sweetly, how to seem unobtrusive, how to observe those around her and seem non-threatening and perhaps even a little naive (or just amused), all while committing everything around her to memory. Many of their retainers knew what she was doing and it became a matter of amusement, and challenge, to test her powers of observation by trying to keep her from discovering thing when they came to visit. Those that managed to successfully keep her keep eyes and ears from learning whatever secret her Grandmother would give them to hold when they visited were often granted a boon before they left.

Beyond these lessons, Sansa also wanted to ensure that Lyanna knew her people and her family. To that end two things happened; many months during spring and summer years were spent on Bear Island so that Lyanna could get to know her family there, and Sansa arranged for Lyanna to foster with the Manderly family in White Harbor where she could learn the proper running of a large city as well as how to handle merchants, sailors, and the needs of so many Small Folk all crammed into the same space. Lyanna loved her time in both places and came away from those years having learned much but also having forged strong friendships with her cousin Darna and the petite Lady of White Harbor, Wynn Manderly.

While she would never have wished a family rift on her friend, Lyanna was more than thrilled when Sansa brought Wynn to Winterfell when she and her mother had a falling out over Wynn's insistence on raising her son. As far as Lyanna is concerned, Wynn and Robert are welcome to make Winterfell their home for as long as Wynn wants to; she views the young lad much as a favored nephew and enjoys watching him run and play almost as much as Wynn does...and quietly looks forward to the day he's old enough to give him a wolf-pup of his own.

Now, in her late 20's, she's well known to her own people and they are loyal to Lyanna herself and House Stark in general, due greatly in part to the rebuilding efforts of Sansa after the Wars that killed so many, and the stewardship that Lyanna continues to foster. She follows the Old Ways, and many of her people admire her for never asking of someone else what she's not willing to do herself. When her grandmother died in 355 AC (just a few short months after the deaths of her cousin Jaehaerys and 3/4 of the people on Dragonstone), there was no fuss or outcry about Lyanna taking the full reins of power in the North and at the older woman's funeral, the majority of the Nobles in attendance re-swore oaths of allegiance to Lyanna and House Stark even though she hadn't asked it of them. Many of those that couldn't attend sent Ravens with their regards, and also renewed oaths of loyalty. Those letters Lyanna keeps in a small box in her bedroom, cherishing them more for the kind words and small stories that each carried of her grandmother, than for the oaths also carried in their lines.

Sansa Background
After the War with the Night King, Sansa Stark was left securely in charge of Winterfell and Queen Daenerys re-named the Starks as Wardens of the North. Knowing she would need to secure her home for her family, Sansa chose a husband from among a family that had always remained loyal the Starks, the Mormonts. While everyone knew the names Jeor and Maege Mormont, fewer (outside of the North) knew their younger brother Andar, who was content to mostly remain home on Bear Island except when called to fight. He and his wife Aellyn had two sons, twins they named Dennet and Erryk, and it was the younger of the two boys (by a mere 5 minutes) that Sansa agreed to marry...provided he was willing to take *her* name in the bargain.

By all accounts the two had a marriage built on respect and a friendship that seemed to deepen over the years and while they might not have been in love with each other, there was no doubt they cared for each other and raised their three surviving children on tales of both the Starks and Mormonts and with many visits to their kin on Bear Island.

When he came of age at 18, their oldest son, Eddard (named after his Grandfather Ned) left Winterfell on a solitary tour of the North. He left with a small purse, his horse, and his wolf, Wrath, to keep him company. His intention was to spend time at every keep that swore fealty to the Stark banner, and to get to know his people better for when the day came that his mother, Sansa, would pass the mantle of leadership to him. In the two years he was travelling, he met, and fell in love with Sarrya Umber, the middle child of Ned Umber. Ned was more than happy to forge a tighter alliance with, and reaffirm his loyalty to, House Stark by allowing his daughter to marry Eddard in 329 AD. A loyalty that never wavered even when the birth of his granddaughter in 330 AC also brought about the death of his daughter...though he never could bring himself to be close to Lyanna who so reminded him of the daughter he'd lost.

Specific Info: Lyanna excels in single combat with a pair of matched daggers that are always at her sides. She's been trained in the use of a sword and quarterstaff as well and while she is, by no means, an expert with either, she doesn't embarrass herself with them either and could likely hold off an attacker until help arrived. She is also trained in the used of a bow (for hunting not combat) and is almost always flanked by a pair of Direwolves aptly named Snow and Shadow. Horses from Winterfell are known to be fearless and steady because of being raised and trained with the Stark's wolves always nearby and are highly prized in the North for that reason.

Info on Wolf Breeding
Sansa was able to start breeding Direwolves for the Stark family when Jon/Aegon gave her a pup from one of Ghost's litters. Ghost had found a mate in the far North and while she was never entirely tamed, she was protective of those that Ghost trusted. With her own Direwolf once more, Sansa trained her new pup (a female she called Tempest) and when she was old enough, she took her to the Wall and allowed her to run free. It was a gamble, but it paid off and when they returned to Winterfell, Tempest was heavy with her first litter. Like many larger mammals, it was found that Direwolves had fewer babes at a time than regular wolves or dogs. Tempest only ever had one or two when she would give birth and Sansa took care not to over breed her, wanting to keep the Direwolves as a sign of status among the Stark family, and extreme favor to their most loyal friends. Each of Sansa's children was given their own pup when they came of age to care for one (usually around 13-15 depending on when Tempest had a litter in that age range) and were given the same instructions Sansa and her siblings were given...they would train them, care for them, and - if necessary - put them down. The number of wolves at Winterfell has always remained low. Some are lost due to simple attrition when allowed to run North, some proved un-trainable and had to either be released North of the Wall or put down entirely. Those that fully bond with their humans, do so with extreme loyalty and for life, only parting from them on their runs North when they, sometimes, return with mates or possibly litters growing in the bellies of the females.

First Sansa, and now Lyanna, keep immaculate records of their breedings and there are just starting to be enough wolves that they don't necessarily have to always let their own wolves run North, but can start breeding among the wolves they have at Winterfell and among those very few vassals that have been given a wolf of their own. Detailed records ensure no such pairing is too closely related and most litters are still started by allowing a female to run North in order to avoid inbreeding.

Snow and Shadow:

Notes on Snow and Shadow
Both are loyal companions and if travelling far, or hunting, both will be flanking Lyanna's horse (who is entirely used to the two wolves nearly equal to his own size!) but it is Snow who is her constant companion. Snow is, by far, the friendlier of the two, the one most likely to take kindly to strangers, while Shadow seems to merely tolerate the presence of anyone who isn't Lyanna, Wynn or Robert who they seemed to have adopted as part of their human pack. While neither would actually hurt anyone without orders (barring Lyanna being in actual danger) Shadow is far more likely to act aggressively and try to warn strangers off with growls and shows of teeth. Because of their differences in temperaments, Shadow is far more likely to be left home and Lyanna fully expects that, when she takes Snow and Shadow for their first runs North of the Wall, it will only be Snow who returns to her.

And Sweets saved everyone from the long version of my write up for the North, if you're interested, it'll be spoilered below...if not she got the important stuff. :) :)

In the North

TLDR

  • Sent Ravens to Lords and Ladies, wanting census and supply information after the war
  • Also sent messengers to those warriors with lands and small keeps of their own (the Northern equivalent of landed Knights) to bring supply and census information for those in their land and had said messengers spread word to the small folk displaced by the wars to make way to the nearest Keep still running.
  • Trusted warriors and skilled small-folk sent to Keeps whose masters died during the wars to strip them of any stored food or supplies to be distributed to still working Keeps to bolster their stores.
  • Traveled to White Harbor to talk to merchant leaders, send more ravens to help re-establish trade ties after the war; particularly establishing trade for food needed to see her people through the Winter
  • Orders sent to Noble Houses, those seeking aid to be given food and shelter (especially during that first Winter) and bandits to be put down like rabbid dogs
  • With Spring, two major projects started 1) work to enlarge Flint's Finger into a full port town, making trade and travel along the western coast of the North easier and 2)personally overseeing the tearing down of the Dreadfort and using the available stones and timbers for other rebuilding projects
  • Made plans for restoring Moat Caillen but focused on the Flint's Finger expansion, leaving the Keep for future generations to restore
  • Helped Wildlings wanting to stay South of he Wall find places that would suit them provided they swore to abide by the laws of the land and put aside their own internal fighting for the good of everyone - though she was also smart enough to try and find those with longstanding feuds places far from each other
  • First 10 years after the war she traveled extensively to ensure her people's welfare; ensuring food and supplies being stored in sufficient quantities for the nest Winter, helping with rebuilding, sending Ravens to the Citadel when Maesters were needed etc.
  • Married Erryk Mormont in 308 AD, had 4 children - 1 died at less than a week old
  • Once the North was stabilized and her family established, regular trips made to King's Landing so her children would know their family there, though she never stayed in the Red Keep again but established a family villa nearby

With the end of the Night King in 305 AD, the claiming of the throne by Daenerys Targaryen and the revelation that the man known as Jon Snow (believed to be the bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark) was in fact Aegon Targaryen, the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen...the North was left in chaos. So many were dead, those left felt as if they were drifting, rudderless, their "King" now gone, having married a Southern Queen and then dying in the War with the Night King to save them all, and into the void left by that loss stepped Sansa Stark, the oldest surviving true-born child of Lord Eddard Stark with a face and name familiar to many. The Stark line had survived and, with the blessing of the new Queen on the Iron Throne, Sansa fully claimed her place as the Lady of Winterfell and the Wardeness of the North.

One of her first orders of business was to send ravens to every corner of the North. Every noble House received word to send a representative to Winterfell and to bring with them a full accounting of supplies on hand, supplies needed, and a rough census of the remaining people in their lands. She understood this would take time, but with Winter riding hard down on them, it was also necessary if they were to survive. Messengers were also sent to those warriors known to have Keeps and small lands of their own (the Northern equivalent of landed Knights) to also take measure of their stores and people. These messengers made note of which Keeps still had masters, and those which now sat empty due to their masters dying in the wars. To those left empty, Sansa sent warriors and skilled small-folk and had the Keeps raided for any stores of food and supplies, having those distributed to those Keeps closest by to bolster their own stores.

She also made a trip to White Harbor and spoke to the leaders of the merchant guilds there. It might have been considered unseemly for a Lady of a Major House to concern herself with matters of trade, but her first priority was the survival of as many of her people as possible, and on the advice of men and women she spoke with, more ravens were sent. These carried the seal of House Stark and were sent to the heads of merchant guilds in Southern cities seeking to establish new avenues of trade. In the beginning she sought mostly an exchange of goods, such as grains/fruits/vegetables from the South for things like hardwoods and furs that were only available from Northern forests and coasts, to keep her people fed. As time passed, and Winter faded to Spring, she stepped back, letting trade broaden and expand naturally.

During the Winter, with so many people hungry and suffering the effects of war, many attempted to turn to banditry to keep their families fed. Sansa dealt with this in quick and brutal terms. Families that came to the Keeps were housed and fed to the best of the Nobles ability, but those that turned bandit, who stole from the mouths of others...for them she had no mercy and it didn't take long for word to spread that the new Lady of the North would provide aid for any seeking it, and would put down those looking to take what they hadn't earned. With so many dead after the wars, there was plenty of work for everyone and no excuse was accepted for banditry.

She also found places for those Wildlings who had fought with Jon who wanted to remain in her territory. She never demanded they kneel, to herself or to the Queen, but she did demand oaths that they would live by Westerosi law and work the land for the good of all the people living around them. They could have land to farm, or could ply their trades if they had such skills, but like all Westerosi, they would have to pay their taxes and, as the Warden of the North, she'd expect them to set aside their warring and fighting amongst themselves. To make putting aside longstanding feuds easier, Sansa, was smart enough to try and separate those who had them by great distances. After all, the North was vast and there was plenty of distance that could be put between previously warring factions.

She had territory to rebuild, anyone who stood in the way of that would be dealt with...harshly. She'd learned the lessons of her youth well and, like her father, practiced the Old Ways when it came to meting out judgement.

With the coming of Spring in 306 AD, Sansa turned her eyes to other projects to help her people. One of the first of which was the expansion of Flint's Finger into a full port town along Blazewater Bay. With access to the Saltspear and Fever river, it would be easy to transport goods nearly all the way to Moat Caillen and from there to the Kingsroad and deeper to the Keeps of the North. Flint's Finger would never become the city that White Harbor was, but a port along the western coast allowed for quicker traveling of goods along the western coast of Westeros without having to wait for ships from White Harbor to sail entirely around Dorne, or overland caravans to pay the toll demanded at the Twins. She spent the first months of the year poring over plans with builders, carpenters, and various skilled tradesmen and women working out the logistics of the project itself, how many people would be needed to make her vision a reality and what supplies would be needed before setting them free to begin with the promise that she would come and see to their progress personally after she'd settled another project that she an ever-present desire to see completed.

The second project she focused on personally, was one of vengeance. Ramsay Bolton had been the last of the Bolton line and with his death those lands fell into Sansa's hands as both the Warden of the North and Ramsay's former wife. With spring and rebuilding efforts ongoing throughout the North, Sansa sent word for trusted carpenters and builders and a crew of men with each of them and marched on the Dreadfort...there she had the skilled laborers with her tear it down and had the stones and timbers that were still usable shipped around the North for other rebuilding projects. Many actually making their way to be used in the Flint's Finger expansion.

She could never fully describe the satisfaction she felt in watching the home of a family who had caused so much pain - to herself and others - being destroyed and sent to serve a greater cause. The only thing that might have been more satisfying would have been to write to Dany and asking her cousin by marriage to bring a dragon and destroy the place with dragon-fire much as Harrenhal had been. In the end, however, she didn't want a charred, melted, ruin marring the Northern landscape...she wanted all sign of the place gone. She wanted the Keep, the outbuildings, everything down to the manger in the stables gone and to let nature reclaim it as if the Keep, and the Bolton's themselves had never existed. It took time, and she couldn't remain and watch the entire destruction of the place but by the beginning of 308 AD every trace of the Keep that once been the dread of so many was gone and nature was even starting to reclaim the hard packed dirt that formed the courtyard and the floors of outbuildings. By 312 AD, you could ride past where the Dreadfort had once stood and never know a Keep had once stood there.

For her first few years as Warden, Sansa was rarely at Winterfell itself. She traveled extensively, checking on the Lords and Ladies sworn to her House, renewing oaths of loyalty, helping to rebuild. Sometimes she actually dug into the work itself, earning a reputation for being hands-on in the care of her people, though most often her ability to help was in surveying, seeing what her people needed, and sending out ravens to Maesters in the South, informing them that people displaced by all the wars had a place in the North if they would bring their skills and trades and be willing to resettle the land. It meant an influx of southerners, some of whom couldn't handle the harsh existence away from the cities of the South, but many found the harsh beauty, and relative freedom of the North to their liking and acclimated quite well.

During this time she also married Erryk Mormont in 30 AD. Erryk was the youngest son of Maege Mormont's younger, lesser known brother Andar. She and Erryk were more a politcal match than a love match but they liked, and respected, each other and managed to have four children together starting with their oldest son, Lyanna's father, Eddard in 309 AD. As her children grew, Sansa allowed the projects she'd started at the beginning of her reign as Warden to flourish and grow on their own, while she spent more time at Winterfell with her family. Most of what she'd begun no longer needed her direct supervision, but the next generation of Stark children certainly needed a constant eye on them!

As her children got older, Sansa returned to traveling through her territory, overseeing plantings, and harvests, making her children take part in many of the activities that made of the majority of the lives of their people. They planted, they repaired walls around sheep pastures, they played with children both Noble and smallfolk, and they got to know the lives of their people. Sansa also ensured that their Maester always traveled with them to oversee each Nobles preparations for the Winter that was always coming. They ensured that each Noble was putting aside an appropriate amount of food and supplies (furs, oil, woodpiles) so that their people wouldn't freeze or starve the next time the cold winds and snows held their lands in it's grip.

She made sure her people would live, and thrive, and that her children, and with the birth of Lyanna her grandchild, would do the same after her.

As much as she detested the place, once she had stabilized the North and had children of her own, she also made regular trips to King's Landing every few years. With a man she would always consider her brother (despite his actually being a cousin) having fathered a child with their Queen before his death, she wanted her own children to know their cousin who would one day sit the throne in the rebuilt Red Keep. Duty and love compelled her to make the trek to that hated city but she could never bring herself to actually stay within the Keep itself - despite it being newly rebuilt and not the same place she had been imprisoned and brutalized - and established a small villa nearby. She ensured her children, and eventually Lyanna, would know their family in King's Landing, though she was always happier when their Royal cousins made a rare trip North to visit her at Winterfell. She considered time spent in King's Landing to be a necessary evil; her children got to know their family there, but they also learned the ways of the City, it's Court, and the scheming and backbiting that were so much a part of any Royal Court. Life might be peaceful under Dany, but her own children and grandchildren would never be as naive as she had been when she'd first come to King's Landing as little more than a child.

It seems there are already a lot of women, so I might wait for some men or non-binary before I make a character.
Signature by the amazing Amaris.

Caela

Clio, there are male characters in the works as well...their writers are just in other time zones so they probably won't get posted for a day or two. You should totally start working on an idea if you have one.

Feel free to drop by later or hang out for a bit and do some brain storming. Whatever you would like Clio.

I am interested and creating a male character. I won't be finished until tomorrow night.

Aiden

I play Macgowan Baratheon the Lord Paramount of the Stormlands and eldest Baratheon Heir.

If anyone wants to talk plot or become a vassal for the Baratheon, please let me know.

Side note...if anyone needs help with a family tree to help keep things organized, feel free to hit me up and I'll help out.

Please let it be Elmo...

I'll be playing Ulric and Dakeyras Grejoy, rivals for the Seastone chair, descended from Euron and Yara Greyjoy, respectively.

If anyone would like to work out some connections with either, or maybe with Ulric's master of whispers, Damien Pyke, drop me a line.

There would be a new small council due to the setting. Most character from the show/book are dead. Some of the younger ones old by Westerosi standards now. 300AC Joffrey was married. Our story takes place in 356 AC)

If you would like to Create a Master of Whispers that would be more than welcome.

Hey guys.

I know we didn't end on the best foot. But if you'd be willing to have me, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring.

I won't be playing Patrek or Leyton or anything though, would be something new.

If I'm good to go, I'd also like to reserve Mark Strong as a face claim if that's at all possible.
No longer reserved

I am interested. I make myself available as a plot-filler. If anyone needs more additions to their house, then let me know. If there are no takers, then I will just add a house to the game. I do want to avoid being the one to add more houses than there are people to fill the roles in the houses since that never really works out well in any GOT RP. So if you need brother, sister, wife, husband, unwed lover, father, mother, slave, servant, bodyguard (had to add more XD), etc. I can play any gender, any role, and any sexuality.

I wouldn't want to play Master of Whispers, but is there a position that's like "Main Spy/Assassin" that the Master would relay orders directly to when something needed to get done with efficiency and expediency?

sweets

Rob feel free to submit a character.

Throne. I am looking for an estranged older sibling for my Wynn Manderly. And my Darna  Farwynd has a bunch of cousins from the Goodbrothers if either of those interest you.

Juggtacular. A spy/assassin with a reasonable background can be done. Please keep in mind a character like that may be connected to the Master of Whispers but could have a harder time making other connections. Just based on prior games with spy’s/assassins talking. If such a character interests you feel free to submit something and we can discuss

Here is my character.

Ser Ashten Long of House Long

Character: Ser Ashten Long of House Long, nicknamed "The Valiant"

Age: 27

Position: Ashten is a knight in service to House Long

Allegiance: House Stark

Appearance: Ashten is 6’1” tall and weighs 215 pounds. He possesses a muscular, athletic build. He has brown hair, a beard, and twinkling blue eyes. Most of the time he wears studded leather armor, and carries a long sword and dagger. In tournaments, of course, he has a set of plate armor that he wears. When not in his armor, his clothes are of average quality, not expensive or the height of fashion. Ashton has a large scar on his abdomen which runs from his beltline to just below his breast bone that he received rescuing Lady Tallhart from a large group of bandits. Ashten also has very noticeable scar on his right shoulder from another wound received during a tournament. Since he is a knight there are other smaller scars but they are not generally as noticeable as the previously mentioned scars.

Face Claim: Moe Dumford

Personality: Ashten is friendly and has generally optimistic viewpoint. He tends to see the best in people which can make him appear a little naïve. He has been duped many times and doesn’t realize it. Ashten is a brave and courageous fighter who firmly believes in justice for all and treating others with respect. He is also humble. He does not boast about his exploits and even has difficulty accepting compliments.

Motivations: Since he is a household knight, Ashten hopes to one day own a keep of his own.

History: Ashten’s father, Lord Nathan Long was recently killed in a hunting accident. Ashten’s mother is Emely Tallhart, another house in the north. He has a brother, Tylar, who is two years old than him and a sister, Dyanna, who is two years younger and married to Lord Gannon Woods.
Ashten’s older brother, Tylar, became the Lord after their father’s death.

At the age of fourteen, Ashten became a squire for Ser Roderick Condon the arms master of House Condon. Ashten began to go to tournaments serving Ser Roderick. He participated in a few squire’s tournaments. Ashten traveled around the North with Ser Roderick as they were in groups sent out to hunt bandits. When he was seventeen years old, Ser Roderick and Ashten came up a large group of bandits attacking the carriage of his Aunt the Lady Berit Tallhart. The fighting was fierce, with Ser Roderick killing 5 of the bandits before he was wounded and unable to continue fighting. Ashten personally killed the remaining 7 bandits before he was grievously wounded in the abdomen. After this battle, he was knighted,

He continued serving the North, routing out bandits and would also go to tournaments as much as possible. At first, Ashten would only participate in the melee so he wouldn’t lose his horse and equipment. Finally, at the age of 20, he began participating in the joust as well at tournaments. He participated in a tournament in King’s Landing. His opponent was a member of the Queen’s guard. Unfortunately, Ashten took a splinter of wood the size of a dagger from Queen’s guard’s lance in his right shoulder. Ashten was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to the wound. Over the years, as he continued participating in tournaments, Ashten would usually have a decent showing and win enough matches so when he finally lost he was able to ransom his equipment back. While he wasn’t a feared opponent, he was respectable and not considered an easy victory.

Sexual Identity: Hetrosexual

Rumors and Gossip: The rumor is that Ashten has a secret wildling lover who meets him in his travels throughout the North and leads him to bandit groups. That is why he is so successful hunting down bandits.

Strengths and Key Skills: Ashten has a good memory for stories and songs. He has a natural sense of battle tactics, especially hit and run raids or setting ambushes. He is a skilled knight and therefore able to fight from horseback with the lance, and on foot using a variety of weapons and shield.

Flaws and Weaknesses: He is naïve and believes the best in people so he is easy to deceive. Ashten is humble and will even allow others to take credit for things he has done. He is not boastful and can be easy to overlook

Character Likes and On's: Giving Anal Sex, Giving Cunnilingus, Giving Vaginal Sex, Receiving Fellatio, Titfucking Another, Foreplay, and Orgies MFF

Character Dislikes and Off's: bathroom, vore, humiliation, incest, torture

Connections: As a bannerman of the Starks he would have some connection to members of House Stark and other banner houses.

There are a lot of Houses still open, major and minor alike, as well as small council seats and of course supporting characters but non-nobles are hard to integrate unless they have a strong hook in with a noble character.

We do not have a Tully or Arryn
We have interest in a Mistress of Laws

Aiden

I am looking for bannermen to the Stormlands!

LORD PARAMOUNT OF THE STORMLANDS - LORD OF STORM'S END LORD OF SUMMERHALL
THE STORM KING

Age:  26

Position:  Lord Paramount "Storm King" of the Stormlands, Lord of Storm's End, Lord of Summerhall,

Allegiance:  The Crown, The Stormlands

Appearance:   Macgowan is a tall strapping man with a wide set of shoulders and matching chest. Physically imposing in and out of armor, he dons the muscles of a man in his prime of youth, carved by years of training as a knight and fighter. A handful of scars from a rambunctious childhood and many more from combat in his later years are worn with pride, each a story to share over a pint or two. Hair as black as coal and eyes as grey as the storms of their homeland, that all Baratheon men were known for long before the conquest.

Face Claim:  Henry Cavil

Personality:  Macgowan is the physical embodiment of a storm, he laughs loudly, thrives at being center of attention for good and bad reasons alike. Older age, the mantle of responsibilities and a recent marriage has tempered the "Storm King", if not served to focus his chaotic nature. Macgowan values loyalty and friendship highly, willing to trust but becomes mercilessly zealous against those willing to break their word against him, the faith of the people he has sworn to protect.

Motivations:  Macgowan knows what is expected of him and what he must do. He takes great pride in his people and is concerned with their well-being to serve his purpose. While marrying and settling down was not a top priority, he understands the consequences of a lawless land. He heard the struggle of unifying a divided people when his grandfather was "upstarted" to Lord.

History:  The Halls of Storm's End was under assault by the worst rainfall and turbulence it had ever seen during the birth of Macgowan. The first breath the child took was rumored to bring an end to the torrential assault, or so stories were told later by the attending maester.

"Brought into this world wailing louder than the storm outside,  the boy emerged with a head full of hair; black as coal and the storm itself within his eyes" - Maester Vael

It was the last time Storm's End would know peace. Macgowan was a rowdy and rambunctious child, a daemon once he could walk, riding shortly after and always forcing his nannies, care-takers, men-at-arms and parents alike, scrambling after him.

"One might have confused the saddle for his crib, so quickly did he take to his pony, it wasn't long before he began demanding a man's horse"- Maester Vael

"The first time it set the castle to panic, the second time we worried, the third time we had ravens to follow and a score of sworn swords chase after the lad. I have laughed myself plenty of times to sleep imagining so many men scrambling after the boy time and time again." - Maester Vael

The young lord of Storm’s End frequently mounted his horse and roamed the lands on his own. He would partake in supper with a bannerman in their keep, go hawking, hunting or practice in the yards of those men and then be on his way. He served as a page under his grandfather until he passed, then sent to his uncle at Blackhaven. When he was old enough,l he was sent to  House Seaworth where he resumed his training as a knight under Marshall Seaworth.

"No one felt the death more so then Macgowan, he stood vigil and refused to be relieved. Fortunately, those who wished to pay their respects came quickly.  On the second day, he was placed on the pyre, a request from Lord Gendry himself who wished to return to the flames he had forged with as a boy." -Maester Vael

During his days as a squire, he traveled with Marshall and saw the world beyond the Stormlands. It is where he met Darna Farwynd, Damien Pyke and Dakeyeras Greyjoy. The four were dubbed "The Worst Generation" by their mentors as they sailed and explored Essos together. The three had a knack for getting into trouble and always slipping away by the skin of their teeth. Responsibilities would force them apart but before that, a final Journey to the North.

Macgowan met Wynn Manderly of White Harbor and had a brief but intense affair that would late result in a bastard son (he was never told about). He journeyed with Darna and Dak to Winterfell before they finally went separate ways. On his way back home, he found himself in King’s Landing during a tournament to honor the harvest.
During the Tournament, Macgowan, still, only a squire, unhorsed 2 knights of the King's Guard and was defeated by a third after they took the battle to the ground. The Young Lord of Storm's End was knighted before the queen days later before he departed for home.

"Storm End has grown boring without the young lord, If only I was younger I would have asked to join him."
-Maester Vael

He returned to Storm’s End a knighted and bloodied man. The duties of Lord of Storm’s End were quickly added. The reconstruction of Summerhall, the once luxury Palace of the Targeryans was erected as a castle to supply the Lords of the Dornish Marches and the consistent skirmishes that surface from time to time.

Macgowan led numerous battles and oversaw the completion of Summerhall and the formation of the Stormriders, a company of mounted men-at-arms and knights who would garrison in the castle and see to the protection of the Marches. When his father passed, he appointed the son of his former mentor as Captain of the Stormriders and Summerhall’s Garrison before returning to Storm’s End to resume his duty as Lord Paramount of the Stormlands.

I catch him looking out from the highest point of the castle from time to time during the most violent storms. Why? I have yet to find out. - Maester Vael

Sexual Identity:   Heterosexual

Rumors and Gossip:
A few ladies have made japes about “tea time”, implying for Macgowan’s lusty nature. (mostly true)
Macgowan and his friends are not permitted in Braavos, at least not until the current Sealord is dead. (TBD)
Macgowan has sent love letters to Princess Nymeria
(True, mostly as taunts)

Strengths and Key Skills:
Battlefield Leader
Expert Horsemen
Experienced Combatant
Charismatic

Flaws and Weaknesses:
Brash, sometimes too much
Overconfident, at times
Stubborn

Character Likes and On's:  Honey Meads, Dornish Wines (he doesn’t admit that) Roasted anything, hunting, jousting, melees, races

Character Dislikes and Off's:

Connections:
Dak - Traveling companion and friend, a friendship formed from a rivalry they shared when they were young and continues to this day despite not having seen one another in years.

Darna - The sister he always wanted, like Dak a dear friend he has not seen.

Damien - Traveling companion and acquaintance, Mac and Damien rarely see eye to eye but have mutual respect for each other.

Wynn Maderly - The Lady of the North. Macgowan and Wynn shared an intense affair that resulted in the birth of his firstborn (bastard) son. Unfortunately, he does not know of him and the two parted ways.

Lyanna Stark - Briefly met during his visit to the North. He knocked her on her but a few times in the training yard before learning who she was, then did so again as she fancied herself a fighter. He hasn’t seen or heard of her since he left for home.

Alysanne Tyrell - Have met a few times, a few times as children when their parents conducted business. More often after he came into his lordship and resumed to maintain the relationship between the Reach and Stormlands.

I would gladly work out a position within the household potentially as his heir, Lord Arryn is not getting any younger and would most likely have the next in line take on quite a bit of the duties to prepare him for when it is his turn to rule, can modify the family tree to make whatever age work.

Some questions for you fine people.

1. Is this still an open recruitment?
2. Which of the major houses are still around in this alternate universe?
3. Which of the above have already been taken by a player or players?
4. Can we create a completely original house? Since we are 56 years after the Purple Wedding, it stands to reason that some houses would have fallen whilst others would have emerged in their stead.

Hey RedEve...Sweets will have to give the final answers to your questions but I'll try to be helpful. :)

1. As far as I know, the answer is yes to still recruiting

2 and 3. Here's a link to the character houses in play, each one has a link to the characters from the Houses listed so you can see where people have taken their histories.

4. This one Sweets has to answer for sure, but she's usually pretty open to new ideas as long as they have a realistic backstory and don't step on existing background. :) Most of us are pretty open to plotting and hook-ins as well...everyone thinks their region can use more representation! :D

Wildlings/Free Folk (always good for that quote 'You know nothing'? Are they about or are they way beyond the wall doing Wildling things?

With our background (we broke off after season 6 of the show and have made our own alternate lore from there) the Wildlings are still around as a people. Some chose to stay south of the wall and, after the war with the Night King, Sansa Stark found places in the North for those that chose to stay under the understanding that they would follow Westerosi law and put aside the majority of their infeuding...she also deliberately attempted to settle those with the worst feuds far away from each other to make putting that infighting aside easier. Many went back north of the wall and are doing whatever it is wildlings do when left to themselves.

Also, House Manderly has wildling blood in their veins. The current characters grandfather was a wildling who taught them a lot growing up while they also learned the ways of Westerosi nobility.

House Tully is the only great house with no players.
Original Houses are more than welcome with realistic back stories. As far as Houses Houses rendered extinct in the cannon will not be popping back up is the only thing really set in stone.

---

Wildling much like any Dothraki that remained in Westeros would have been expected to assimilate for the most part. Some could have decided to return to the true North, but there would also be others that settled South of the wall.

Elodin plays Harrold Arryn our Warden of the East. You may want to check out the character and touch base

The game setting is also a bit different. After you have tweaked the character please PM me the sheet for approval.

Was unsure if this was a misquote and was referring to Braelyn or not. If so, I'm happy to tweak her to fit, but also perhaps to turn her into the Lady Tully as well, if needed! I'm at work currently so can't work on Brae right now!

Just to put out there, for anyone who might be a bit intimidated by the GoT world...don't be. There is a lot of lore but people are willing to help, answer questions, and point you toward resources. Lots of the Noble Houses are connected by marriages so it's easy to link in with another player (after talking to them first of course) for help in building character background and connections and there are lots of Houses, and also some Small Council slots still open!

Miss Nyx

Very well said Caela. I’m far from a GoT expert, I must say, I love how welcoming this group has been. ☺️

GnothiSeauton

And to build off of what everyone's said before, it really is fun and easy to jump into the group.

One of the best things about this is that time has passed in Westeros after the aftermath of Dany's claiming of the throne.  It's a perfect opportunity to either build your own house, or take what might be a small and obscure house and make it into something really special and kickass.

I'm more than happy to brainstorm and share some ideas and potential faces that could help inspire some stuff.  I've got a ton of potential character ideas I threw together over the last few times.  Feel free to PM me.

Hi! I am absolutely interested! What houses are open?

Caela

The first post has a link to the Approved characters page and there's a list there if taken Houses. Honestly any house could be open but if there is already a character from that House I'd message that writer and see how they feel about connections. Most folks are down for cousins, aunts/uncles extended family etc.

Wariforever14

I'd love to submit a Tully! I see their house is still open. I think I have an idea too, if it's alright. She'll be Lord Edmure's grandaughter.

Lady Winifred (Winnie) Tully

Character: Winifred Tully. Lady of Riverrun.

Alias:  Winnie, Fred (by her father when she was younger, because she was his only heir).

Age:  21

Position:  Lady of Riverrun, The Little Creek

Allegiance:  The Faith of the Seven, The Riverlands

Appearance:  Winifred is a small, petite woman of short stature. She has long, reddish-brown hair that curls to the base of her back and is braided neatly away from her face. She, ever since she was a little girl, has had the tendency to wander to the creek and pick flowers to wear in her hair. She has deep brown eyes inherited from her mother, and dimples on both cheeks. Her face is wide and heart shaped, and she often wears a good-natured smile. She often wears practical clothes, not one for dressing up unless she absolutely has to. She favors light, breathable fabrics, in blues and yellows, and skirts that she can walk easily in.

Face Claim:  Samantha Barks

Personality:  As heir to a noble house, Winifred was taught from an early age not to care about frivolous things. She is kindhearted and free-willed in nature, often found wandering the Riverlands as a child with her nursemaid in tow. She has always been more of a tomboy, preferring to train with her father and ride horses than to sew, though she never complains when tasks need done. She was taught history, to read and write well, and to defend herself, and thus she is confident in conversation as well as combat. She is, as most Tullys, fiercely stubborn and strong willed when it comes to getting her way and the betterment of her lands, and she will do anything for the people of the Riverlands.

Motivations: Winifred is very aware of the little power the Riverlands hold in the Seven Kingdoms. She knows that her marriage can form a powerful alliance, and thus is searching for a good match, not only for herself but also for her homeland. She wants to better the Riverlands, to build them up to a powerful land that contributes.

History:  Winifred is the granddaughter of Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey. Her father, their firstborn and only son, doted on her every whim and loved his daughter. He married a commoner, which shocked his family, and when she gave birth to a girl the resentment toward her only grew. When, two years later, Winifred and her mother both fell ill with sweating sickness, the people of the Riverland celebrated that Robb Tully would be able to marry again. However, Winifred survived, and Robb, devastated at his wife's death, never married again and gave everything to his daughter. He raised her as his trueborn heir, and wouldn't hear of anyone saying otherwise. He died when Winifred was ten years old, and instead of allowing a regent to lead until she became of age, The Little Creek took over the running of Riverrun with such skill no one could stand against her.

Sexual Identity:  Heterosexual

Rumors and Gossip:  That Winifred Tully is never going to live up to the legacy of her ancestors. I heard her declare that she would never marry and live life as a virgin! I heard rumors that Winifred Tully dresses as a man and frequents the local taverns.

Strengths and Key Skills:

  • Literacy- she is very well read and enjoys reading books
  • Defensive skills- While not a keen swordswoman, Winifred can defend herself and is especially good with a knife.
  • Conversation

Flaws and Weaknesses:  Winifred is absolutely an introvert. She prefers her own company rather than the company of others. She also has simple taste and does not see the need in "making appearances". She is also stubborn to the point of insolence.

Character Likes and On's: Intelligent conversation, flowers, an adventurous spirit, an avid horserider, reading, walking by the river, boating on the river, well-baked pies, the history of the Seven Kingdoms, fishing, children, animals.
In the bedroom, although she is a virgin, she has some ideas about what she may like. She likes being in charge.

Character Dislikes and Off's:  Arrogance, women playing stupid just to impress men, people who hurt animals, especially horses, people who hurt children or look down on children, being doubted or underestimated, pain

Connections:
Will edit as I talk to others

Special Notes: Winifred is searching for a potential suitor. She also would need some friends/people she trusts. It can get lonely in Riverrun all by oneself.

Plot shaped finger tapping carefully commenced. Presuming the above answer from a few weeks ago remains correct, or is this done up?  O:)

Haaaaloooo!!!  ;D ;D ;D

We are most definitely still recruiting. The game itself is a slower moving one and we're always looking for good folks.

Haloriel

I at least want to tweak a female character I already have to fit if that is permitted. However, am I allowed two characters if I make a male, or is it preferred that I write one character first, and wait for a tick?

I'm perfectly fine with either option, of course!

Caela

Tweaking a character you already have to fit the setting is fine...I think most of us recycle characters on E and those of us who have been with this game through a few different incarnations have certainly tweaked out own characters a time or two! :D

If you're comfortable running two characters I don't think that would be a problem. Many of us started with two.

On e a more semi serious note, is there any particular character type, house, etc the game is missing for plot purposes?

sweets

We are accepting rolls of any type, nobles tend to be easier to make connections with.

When it comes to regions we have quite a few Ironborn. But my bias says we can never have enough  :-)

We are lacking in members of the Small Council and figures of high rank in religions such as High Septon and Red Priests.

There are houses who's members have the potential to be nominated in the great council, such as house Velaryon and house plumm that are not claimed yet.

sweets

There is also currently a mini event a party to celebrate the now finished tournament that anyone can attend.

First post has been updated with some more information on open rolls and Houses we could use in game.

I am interested in this thing.

It seems like there is no prince of poor, beleaguered, Dragonstone?

If that is true, I'd be interested in making a Targaryen who was something like Jaeharys' first or second cousin, from the line of Shiera Seastar.  She grew up abroad, in Lys (second generation). She FINALLY received news of the demise of her entire extended family and most of the population of her fabled homeland as well as notification of her new Status of Princess of Dragonstone.  She comes to the capital willing to do anything to help her island home recover; and even has aspirations to become a Power in the area.

I was thinking a small council position, as that would put her in a position of power far beyond what the rest of the nobles would assume her abilities lie.  Like maybe Hand or Lady Commander of the Queensguard, or Mistress of Whispers

Haloriel

Shiera Seastar is taken as a root by me. But I don’t think anyone is using House Velaryon. There’s no one with a character that closely related to Daenerys as her son(Prince) or a Princess as a point of this version of the story as I recall since the next ruler will be chosen or elected. Not a GM but happy to help w/ connections! Wee, more people.  8-)

Also interested, but still need to read on the game's history and other characters to lay out a more throughout background for my planned character and their motivations

WIP
Onyx Trant

Character:  Onyx Trant

Alias:  "The YiTish", "The Half-breed", "The Hangman" (he hates all those nicknames and it will just anger him if he is called any of them)

Age:  25

Position:  Lord of Gallowsgrey, Head of House Trant

Allegiance:  House Baratheon

Appearance:  Despite being mixed-race, Onyx's features are more YiTish in appearence than Westerosi. He notably has partial epicanthic folds, black hair and much less body hair than his Westerosi father in comparison. To compensate for his lack of Westerosi looks, which is something he is self-conscious about, he grows his facial hair and maintains a mustache and chin beard. His gentle dark brown eyes usually seem preoccupied with something, as he often appears lost in his thoughts. He stands 5'11" (1.80m) tall and weighs 157 lbs (71 kg), with an athletic but not too muscular body, toned for endurance and combat rather than explosive brute strength.

Face Claim:  Remy Hii

Personality:  Onyx used to be ambitious and an aggressive fighter in his youth, and loved hunting and tourneys. An adventurous soul, he loves exploring new things and traveling, something his father allowed as he had done the same in his youth. His fantastic horsemanship gave him the opportunity to travel across Westeros and beyond, though he avoided sea travel as much as possible. However, having shed blood himself and witness so much violence during his adventures made Onyx develop a hatred of fighting and violence. He still fights and kills but reluctantly and only as a last resort, becoming hesitant and stressed about it all, which made his otherwise great swordsmanship suffer.

He is only loyal to his family and liege, but does not share his father's calm and collected personality. He is amiable and not cunning whatsoever, showing no real interest in improving House Trant's status within the realm. His father's recent death deeply affected him, making him melancholic and overprotective of his sister and mother. He also feels pressure about having to improve his father's legacy.

Motivations:  Onyx aims to find a spouse in King's Landing and establish good relations with ladies and lords of the Seven Kingdoms.

History: The grandson of Lord Edmund Trant and Lady Annabelle, Onyx is the eldest child of the recently deceased Lord Darrin Trant. His father was born and raised in Gallowsgrey, in the Stormlands, which has been the seat of House Trant for centuries. Ulrich Trant, Darrin's older brother, was supposed to inherit Gallowsgrey, which forced Darrin to seek other opportunities as the second son, deciding to travel to Essos and see the world for himself when he turned 16. After living off as a sell-sword for a several years in the Free Cities and throughout Essos, Darrin ended up in Yi Ti on his way back to Volantis from a journey to Asshai. In Yi Ti, he met Shufen, the daughter of a son-less Yitish farmer. They fell in love, and her father agreed to marry her to him as a gesture of gratitude after Darrin helped out protect his lands from bandits. Onyx was born a few years later, as Darrin embraced the quiet but steady life of a farmer in Yi Ti. Their tranquility wouldn't last for a long time, however.

After a war in Yi Ti decimated the countryside and resulted in Darrin losing an eye, the young family sailed to Westeros to find a better life. Upon Darrin's return, he realized that his brother had been killed in a shipwreck and his younger sister Shella had become the head of the House, while his father on his deathbed due to an illness. Gallowsgrey had been left in a dire state, plagued by debt and poor management since his brother had passed. His father died a few months after Darrin's return, and Shella promptly gave Darrin the title of Lord of Gallowsgrey before marrying a lord in the Riverlands, leaving it up to him to deal with the mess. Through agrarian reforms inspired by practices in Yi Ti, Darrin fixed his domain's economy and the people welcomed him and his new wife, despite her foreign roots. Onyx's sister Elenei was born not long after their arrival in Westeros.

After several years of good management, Onyx's father grew a considerable reputation within the Stormlands. He raised his children in a mixture of Westerosi and Yitish ways with the help of competent maesters and masters-at-arms. The two Trant children were almost always together, learning and training from the same teachers simultaneously. Onyx was naturally gifted, excelling in horse riding and sword fighting, but was not as clever when it came to other subjects. His father nevertheless insisted on teaching him proper administrative principles throughout his childhood, grooming him to succeed him as his heir. Becoming a squire in his early teens in Blackhaven, where he met Macgowan Baratheon, Onyx furthered his training as a knight by serving under Lord Loras Tyrell. Upon reaching adulthood, Onyx followed in the footsteps of his father before him and went on adventures across the known world. He soon realized however that seafaring was not his cup of tea, suffering from crippling seasickness very easily, causing him to travel by land more often than not.

Onyx travelled across Westeros, going as far north as the ruins of the Wall at Castle Black, as far west as Casterly Rock and as far south as Sunspear in Dorne. Crossing the Narrow Sea, he settled for a time in Myr before wandering through the Rhoyne Valley all the way south to Volantis. From there he went east along the Demon Road towards Qarth with the hope of reaching his mother's homeland, Yi Ti, and beyond all the way to Asshai. However, he would never reach Qarth, his eastward journey ending at Kosrak where he witnessed unspoken atrocities. He survived and secured his return west in Mereen, from where he sailed all the way to Storm's End. The sea travel almost killed him as he spent the whole trip sick and miserable, feeding off ginger and licorice roots to alleviate his condition.

Upon his return to Gallowsgrey, the now wiser and humble Onyx realized how much he had missed his family after being away for so many years during his teenage years. He barely recognized his own sister who, despite being a few years apart from him, had fully entered adulthood. Their reunion was awkward at first but they soon reconnected thanks to circumstances and family bonds. Most nights they would stay up very late and share stories, as Elenei was fascinated by his adventures while Onyx was interested in knowing what he had missed while he was away from home. As Elenei kept sneaking into his bed to hear his stories, what initially started as a gentle cuddle turned out to be more intimate as nights went on, both painfully aware of the magnetic pull they had on each other. It troubled Onyx who felt guilt and uneasiness, mostly afraid of their parents finding out.

Meanwhile, their father had grown increasingly frustrated at not finding a good match for his daughter, but was more hopeful for his son, as his requirements were less extensive. After a frank discussion, the two came to an agreement: his bride-to-be must be a nobleborn woman around his age who comes from a family of equal or higher prestige; a matrilineal marriage was also out of the question, even to a major house. However, many months passed and despite negotiations with a family in the Reach, Onyx remained a bachelor.

Things did not alleviate his stress and mood, as his father suddenly became sick. For Onyx, his father was a role model and infallible hero. His world thus crumbled when Darrin died a little over a month ago, turning him overnight into a Lord and the Head of House Trant. With so much responsibility falling over his shoulders, Onyx had little time to grieve his deceased father and had to keep face as a Lord. With pressure piling over him by his mother to marry and produce a heir, Onyx left Gallowsgrey under his mother's care and rode north to King's Landing to attend the Great Council. This was a perfect opportunity to find a wife and establish good relationships with lords and ladies across the Seven Kingdoms. However, an unknown variable came in as his sister joined him on his trip to the capital, having caved in to her begging at the condition that she never wanders off alone.

Motivations:  U/C

History:  Eldest child of Darrin Trant and Shufen Trant, Onyx was born in Yi Ti but grew up mostly in Westeros, escaping a war in his mother's homeland. He is of mixed Westerosi and Yitish descent as is his little sister Elenei, four years his junior. He received a good education, and knows how to farm and take care of a domain. He was raised in a very typical Trant fashion, learning how to hang, ride and fight, in that order.

U/C

Sexual Identity:  Heterosexual

Rumors and Gossip:

- Darrin Trant (father, recently deceased): Lord of Gallowsgrey.
- Elenei Trant (sister, 21): Can be a playable character if anyone's interested.

Special Notes:  U/C

Additional Pictures:

Would likely be looking for a spouse;
Perhaps could be put into a position of responsibility against his will;
Trying to avoid it but I haven't figured out the cause of his father's death, so the cliché "who killed my father?" plot could be a thing I guess;

For those looking for ideas a good bit of advice is to stick with noble characters. They tend to be a little bit easier to make connections with.

If you have a favored region of Westeros based on that there is very likely connections to be made as we have characters pretty spread out.

We have a few Ironborn at this point, but will not turn someone away if they want to play one.

WIP 2.1
Elenei Trant

Character:  Elenei Trant

Alias:  Little Flower (called by her brother)

Age:  21

Position:  Lady of Gallowsgrey, Lady of House Trant

Allegiance: House Trant

Appearance:  The youngest daughter inherited most of her mother's good looks. Like all her siblings, she has long straight dark brown (almost black) hair. She has the kindest and softest brown eyes. They are constantly filled with some sort of longing. A longing of adventure and companionship. She has a slender and lithe frame as compared to other Westerosi ladies. She is 1.6m tall, weighing at 56kg. She would wear clothes with softer colours that are not so bright and to honor her mother, she would wear more Yitish styled clothes.

Face Claim: Dilraba Dilmurat

Personality:  Apart from the looks, she too inherited most of her mother's personality as well. Ultimately gentle, kind and caring by nature but rough around the edges after being giving a tad too much freedom at home. Not as tactful as one expects her to be as she does tend to speak her mind often. Strong-willed and when it comes to fulfilling her duties to her house and to her brother, she would always come through.

Motivations:  Supporting her brother just as he had supported her. To see the world outside and explore it before she gets tied by a marriage. To marry the man her brother chose for her.

History:  Her entire life was spent in Westeros. She is the daughter to the Lady Shufen Trant and the late Lord Darrin Trant. She is currently the youngest in the House of Trant and the most pampered. Unlike her elder brother, Onyx, she spent her entire childhood and adulthood in Westeros and to be more specific Gallowsgrey. Being unwed and still not betrothed to anyone, she was only allowed to go horseback riding with an escort or a guard. She was not allowed to be left alone in public and was not allowed to venture further than the town's center.

Even when events and celebrations were held in the main hall of their home, she was rarely invited to participate in them. Invited guests only caught a glimpse of the mysterious Darrin Trant's daughter. But those that did actually seen (for less than mere minutes) her praised her beauty. She was very young when she had received her request of a match. However her father refused all the matches that came and announced that as long as he was alive that she was not to be engaged to anyone. He wanted to keep her innocence as long as he could. Most of the men that came to ask for her hand were men her father deemed unworthy with shady bloodlines. He wanted her to marry into the best house. However, her father did not have the right connections to the "best house" either. Darrin was not a man who has friendly ties not only due to his looks but also due to his occasional eccentric behaviours.

Ever since Onyx left home and begun his journey, Elenei always felt alone. They were inseperable as children as they trained and played together. Horseback riding was one of the many ways she got over her loneliness. The happiest day was when he returned back home. He had changed. He was not the skinny twig of a teenager she once knew. He was a full grown man including the deep voice and everything. Upon his return, she stuck to him like bees to honey. Every night when everyone else is asleep she would climb into his bed to have him tell her one of his tales of his far off adventures. It was the only way she could picture the lands, the people and know that was more than what little she knew about the world.

However, Darrin passed away not long after her brother's return home. It was very unfortunate and somewhat strange as well. It was a pretty sudden death. Saddened by the news of their father's sudden demise, both siblings sought comfort in each other behind closed doors. Not even their mother knew about it. After another month of mourning, her brother left for King's Landing in search of a wife. Wanting an adventure of her own, she begged him to take her with him and now travels with him to the capital with the promise that she would stay out of sight as much as she could.

Sexual Identity: Hetrosexual

Rumors and Gossip:

  • She's an illegitimate daughter of Darrin.
  • She and her brother are in a secret relationship.
  • She is actually a witch with magical seduction powers due to her beauty.
  • She is a strange strange girl.

Strengths and Key Skills:

  • Trained to wield a sword and bow and arrow.
  • Skilled at horse riding.
  • A tad bit too attractive (many men wants her to be their wife or would leave their wife for her).
  • An optimist.
  • A great listener.

Flaws and Weaknesses:

  • Naïve. Spent most of her life behind the walls of her home. She has not seen the outside world much.
  • Clingy to her older brother. Not as independent as she would like to be.
  • Too soft spoken that sometimes no one listens to her as much as she wants someone to.
  • Unbetrothed at her age, she should already be wed.

Character Likes: Sunshine, cherry blossoms, horseback riding, looking at the stars and the sound of rain.

Character Dislikes: When someone disrespects her family (especially her brother), to have her family (and herself) humiliated and people who are full of themselves.

O's/O's: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=179978.0

Connections:
Family

  • Darrin Trant - Father (deceased)
  • Shufen Trant - Mother
  • Onyx Trant - Elder brother

Others:

  • TBD

Special Notes:  -NA-

Additional Pictures:

It's a work in progress but she is almost done (I still have a little more to write on her history part) and I'm looking for connections but I have no idea who to connect with.

WIP wanted to give a preview of my lady-girl

Aradia Ambrose

Character:  Lady Aradia Proserpina Ambrose

Alias:  The Flowerchild, Summerflower, Witch of House Ambrose, Witchdaughter, The little light of House Ambrose, Loony Bird

Age:  Twenty.

Position: Peer of the Realm

Allegiance:  The Reach

Appearance: Greens and blue shades are her favorite colors, although sometimes, she will don the colors of visiting families and allies if needed.Yellow tends to work with her coloring quite nicely. It is no secret that she is her dusky mother's twin. Dark-skinned and dark-eyed, the only thing she shares with her pale father is the softening and length of her curls. She is half-Summer Islander and half-Westerosi and finds no issue with her heritage. Due to her mother's influence, she braids her long hair in intricate styles - often decorated in beading, flowers, or coins/jewelry. Both of her ears are pierced twice. Other than dressing up for events or fancy parties, she prefers to dress plainly and in her favorite shades. Oftentimes, she is barefoot, a sign of her noted behavior as a bit of an odd Lady.

There's a faint scar on her neck, from an injury she sustained from falling from a horse as a youngster. Her expressions are often sweet and trusting; there's always a faint smile on her face - even when she's sad.

Face Claim: Laura Harrier

Personality:
I want to be happy, I want to live like the birds in the sky. I want to experience the freedom and beauty that they experience...

The little light of house Ambrose, as she's called, is an peculiar young woman. As her father's only daughter, there was a struggle in keeping her focused on more domestic dealings. No, she was stubborn. She always asked questions and reveled in doing so. Instead of needlepoint, she preferred riding her horses and digging up dirt for worms and other creatures for her to study. This curiosity has never died, in fact, as she's gotten older she's grown to be well-read and eager to share in her passions of literature and philosophy. She's even had a greenhouse built for herself to aid in her personal study of botany and plant life.

She is rather chaste, however, and pious. A devoted worshiper of the Seven, Aradia is passionate in her worship and is rather shy in her interactions with the opposite sex. Even so, she's still rather fun loving and friendly! She is always happy to speak about her hobbies or the nature of things. She finds most fun in debating her septas, who can't seem to answer all of her questions. And for her, that only inspires her to ask more.

Motivations:  Aradia of House Ambrose, is a sweet, well-read, young lady. And unfortunately, many only judge her from her outward appearance, alone. Her parents are happily married, but it was not without scandal. Her mother in particular, was harshly judged, even after she converted to the Faith. And while Aradia does have brothers, there is an ugly double standard when it comes to her treatment. If not only because she is seen as the extension of that 'Summer Isle whore', or whatever derogatory term her mother is named. She wants people to see that their biases are unfounded. That she's just like any other person and only wants the best for her subjects and the Realm, and by extension, her mother does, as well. But it is hard, and as her family's eldest, there is a lot she must shoulder. And here's a secret, she wants to travel and see the rest of the world - particularly, her mother's home islands, but she is also fascinated by the land of the Yi Tish due to her past betrothal with Onyx Trent.

History:

...you are mad, because... because you sing like the birds, you chase after butterflies and... you look at flowers.

The courtship of her mother and father was marked with hardship, but there was a sunspot in the clouds of the earlier years of their marriage when Aradia was born. Red-faced with a head full of black hair, she was a healthy baby and a relatively easy birth, which was a breath of fresh air for her parents. To keep it brief, her father broke an engagement with a Lannister in order to be with her mother, whose own father was a trader in Essos and brought her along to see the rest of the known world. Once they finally met, it was a whirlwind of a romance that ended with a quiet, somber ceremony and her mother%u2019s conversion.

Rumors swirled that she bewitched him, that she had eyes on their small parcel of land to breed her outsider children to take control of their part of the Reach. But instead of growing bitter or angry, she tried her best to be as accommodating of a lady as she could.

Aradia grew in this environment. The discomfort with fixing her hair or letting her play with other noble children was unspoken, but palpable. Eventually, once she had her brothers to play with, she was fine. But there was still unspoken sadness her family had, and she was a joy as a child. Always laughing and eager to learn. She drove her tutors crazy from her questions, alone. Eventually, they relented and soon, a world of knowledge was opened to her as she was given an education fit for an heir. As she got older, and arguably prettier, however, the rumors started. 'Just like her mother', they whispered. 'I saw her barefoot in the fields!', 'A witch, like the lot of them'.

It hurt, but remembering her mother's example, she decided to work to change people's minds.

Nowadays, if there's any nasty things to be said, they're often done in private. She doesn't care for rumors or ugly things. She rather show you how wrong you are, instead of telling you.

Although, being a 'witch', might not be so bad.

Sexual Identity:  Although there's no term for it now, I think she possibly aligns more with demisexuality, with a lean towards men and masculine folk. Which means that a personal connection is far more important than a physical or sexual connection at first glance. She wants to get to know someone before she considers herself attracted, which means she's also extremely inexperienced when it comes to sex or romance. She's prudent and very shy in that regard, which also means that her parents struggle with the idea of making a match for her if she refuses her suitors straight away.

Rumors and Gossip:

*It is rumored that she is a type of witch, at least a hearth/green one. She is extremely imaginative. She walks about barefoot, and her pets act strangely protective around her. She also tends to hum or sing old Summer Islander songs that mix the natural world with the supernatural. Are these spells, perhaps? She also has that greenhouse and has several journals filled with such knowledge of plants, stars, and seasonal celebrations. And while her being a witch is obviously untrue, she is surprisingly, not offended.

*She is also rumored to be 'slow', 'mad', or 'dimwitted'. It appears that the social separation of smallfolk from the lords and ladies does not matter to her. She helps out with the chores and the kitchens several times a week and is close friends with her maids and servants. She also prefers her special interests and thinks courtly gossip to be rather boring or stale. She also is always fidgeting if she's left still. Her fingers and hands tend to jitter and her mind wanders if she can't keep busy and she absolutely finds eye contact with unkind strangers to be 'uncomfortable' at best. Again, there's no word for it now, but in today's terms she could be considered to be on the Autism Spectrum.

*It's rumored that she denies every match due to a desire to roam, or travel. Which is only half-way true. She would like to think her future spouse would want to travel with her before they start their family, but it's quite hard to find someone as reasonable. There's also another rumor that she intends to become a Septa in order to forward her education, something she's really joked about since she's perfectly capable of self-study.

Strengths and Key Skills:
-She is well-read, particularly in the sciences, but she loves old legends and lore.
-She is easy to befriend, even with all of her odd behavior. She can speak to most people unfamiliar to her and would never snub her nose up at anyone.
-Horse riding is something she's mastered, and she's fairly decent at her archery.
-Her singing voice is admirable, pretty and lilting. Her father describes it as a bird's, which is why he calls her his 'Loony Bird'. But her favorite instrument is the lyre, something her mother has mastered over the years.

Flaws and Weaknesses:
-She is not a physically imposing woman. At a mere 5'1, she is aware that she is easy to overpower, which is why she sharpened her mind as a compensation.
-Her reputation is rather flawed and unfavorable to those who may be unfamiliar with the real her.
-She can get frustrated to the point of tears and often feels shame just for this alone.
-And while she herself hates to admit this, she is rather naive in some aspects. She is aware of the dangers of the outside world, but she can't seem to want to try to give many the benefit of the doubt, which has hurt her in the past.
-She is a blind follower of her faith*, and does not like to believe that a fellow (especially a Septa or a Septon!) follower can be corrupt or bad. (This can change as a future plot point!)

Character Likes and On's: poetry, cooking, botany, music, letter writing, story-telling,

Character Dislikes and Off's: cruelty of any kind, people who pre-judge her due to her family, anyone who threatens her loved ones, closed-minds

Connections:  Her parents are Lord and Lady (nee Jahgoro) of House Ambrose. She has three younger brothers. Those roles are completely free and open, as well as any other relatives or friends, as well. One of her failed matches, Onyx Trant, is still considered a good friend to this very day. She is also one of Khaliliah Yronwood Allyrion's cousins. Aradia adores her and her independence.

Special Notes:  With several failed matches under her belt, it's hard to say if she'll ever find a partner that will allow her the life she desires. Like most idealistic girls, she would want to love her husband - her parents were a blessing of an example - and she has always wanted to find that same 'spark' with someone else. But, she suffers from a tied-tongue and bad manners when unfortunately smitten and can be painfully shy once she feels some attraction. However, what she wants most of all, is love. True love, or at least someone who cares for her enough to let her be. She has a fear of being hurt, physically or emotionally, and if it came that her future spouse felt nothing - not even a speck - of care for her, she'd be devastated. Other than that, while she was somewhat separated from the other kids growing up, at times, I'm sure she's still forged some very close bonds with others that could look past her odd behavior and background story! I'd love for her to have some good old friends that have down for her from the beginning, and vice versa.

She might wanna get hitched, but I love slowburn/slowly-falling-for-you situations. But ultimately, she just wants to be accepted. <3

Alrighty, thanks for letting me know. I've added limited connections in my sheet ~ that I sent to the GMs ~ to the characters of players who replied in this thread lately. Will add the other characters if my sheet is approved  :-)

Regarding your characters, WhatLiesAbove, I have it so my character ~ pending-approval ~ pays his respects to Serena Lannister when he stayed briefly at Casterly Rock in the past, so at the minimum they'd likely be acquainted. As for Jeroh Mormont, they could have met at some point while my character was travelling in the North.

There%u2019s a faint scar on her neck, from an injury she sustained from falling from a horse as a youngster. Her expressions are often sweet and trusting; there%u2019s always a faint smile on her face - even when she%u2019s sad.

Face Claim: Laura Harrier

Personality:
%u201CI want to be happy, I want to live like the birds in the sky. I want to experience the freedom and beauty that they experience..%u201D

The little light of house Ambrose, as she%u2019s called, is an peculiar young woman. As her father%u2019s only daughter, there was a struggle in keeping her focused on more domestic dealings. No, she was stubborn. She always asked questions and revelled in doing so. Instead of needlepoint, she preferred riding her horses and digging up dirt for worms and other creatures for her to study. This curiosity has never died, in fact, as she%u2019s gotten older she%u2019s grown to be well-read and eager to share in her passions of literature and philosophy. She%u2019s even had a greenhouse built for herself to aid in her personal study of botany and plant life.

She is rather chaste, however, and pious. A devoted worshipper of the Seven, Aradia is passionate in her worship and is rather shy in her interactions with the opposite sex. Even so, she%u2019s still rather fun loving and friendly! She is always happy to speak about her hobbies or the nature of things. She finds most fun in debating her septas, who can%u2019t seem to answer all of her questions.

If not only because she is seen as the extension of that %u2018Summer Isle whore%u2019, or whatever derogatory term her mother is named. She wants people to see that their biases are unfounded. That she%u2019s just like any other person and only wants the best for her subjects and the Realm, and by extension, her mother does, as well. But it is hard, and as her family%u2019s eldest, there is a lot she must shoulder.

History:

Just another life to live
Just a word to say
Just another love to give
And a diamond day

%u2018Just like her mother,%u2019 they whispered. %u2018I saw her barefoot in the fields!%u2019, %u2018A witch, like the lot of them.%u2019

It hurt, but remembering her mother%u2019s example, she decided to work to change people%u2019s minds.
Nowadays, if there%u2019s any nasty things to be said, they%u2019re often done in private. She doesn%u2019t care for rumors or ugly things. She rather show you how wrong you are, instead of telling you.

Although, being a %u2018witch%u2019, might not be so bad.

Sexual Identity:  Although there%u2019s no term for it now, I think she possibly aligns more with demisexuality, with a lean towards men and masculine folk. Which means that a personal connection is far more important than a physical or sexual connection at first glance. She wants to get to know someone before she considers herself attracted, which means she%u2019s also extremely inexperienced when it comes to sex or romance. She%u2019s prudent and very shy in that regard, which also means that her parents struggle with the idea of making a match for her if she refuses her suitors straight away.

*She is also rumored to be %u2018slow%u2019, or %u2018dimwitted%u2019. It appears that the social separation of smallfolk from the lords and ladies does not matter to her. She helps out with the chores and the kitchens several times a week and is close friends with her maids and servants. She also prefers her special interests and thinks courtly gossip to be rather boring or stale. She also is always fidgeting if she%u2019s left still. Her fingers and hands tend to jitter and her mind wanders if she can%u2019t keep busy and she absolutely finds eye contact with unkind strangers to be %u2018uncomfortable%u2019 at best. Again, there%u2019s no word for it now, but in today%u2019s terms she could be considered to be on the Autism Spectrum.

Strengths and Key Skills:
-She is well-read, particularly in the sciences, but she loves old legends and lore.
-She is easy to befriend, even with all of her odd behavior. She can speak to most people unfamiliar to her and would never snub her nose up at anyone.
-Horse riding is something she%u2019s mastered, and she%u2019s fairly decent at her archery.

Flaws and Weaknesses:
-She is not a physically imposing woman. At a mere 5%u20191%u2019, she is aware that she is easy to overpower, which is why she sharpened her mind as a compensation.
-Her reputation is rather flawed and unfavorable to those who may be unfamiliar with the real her.
-She can get frustrated to the point of tears and often feels shame just for this alone.
-And while she herself hates to admit this, she is rather naive in some aspects. She is aware of the dangers of the outside world, but she can%u2019t seem to want to try to give many the benefit of the doubt, which has hurt her in the past.
-She is a blind follower of her faith, and does not like to believe that a fellow (especially a Septa or a Septon!) follower can be corrupt or bad.

She might wanna get hitched, but I love slowburn/slowly-falling-for-you situations. But ultimately, she just wants to be accepted. <3

She looks great. My character ~ pending-approval ~ had a relatively recent failed marriage match with a noblewoman from the Reach; would you be interested in Aradia being that failed match? I think they'd have a lot in common which would make the match interesting in the first place, but ultimately fail due to their parents or each other possibly. Onyx's father was notably scary and unfriendly, and if the Ambrose are big on religion, that could also have caused damage as neither Onyx nor his father were fond of religion.

I believe everyone on the list is. Though we haven’t seen much of Elmo Volmark or Ashton Long in a while. Other than that...yes!

Still interested.

Just have no idea what to do with Elmo anymore.

I'm definitely up for that.

I've got to figure out something long term for him. Right now I've got nothing in mind for him beyond the usual land claims.

I'd be delighted to plot with you, Gnothi, if my characters in this game suit at all. That said, no pressure what so ever. If we're not a fit, it's always lovely to see your writing.  :-)

I'm open to plotting for my House Ambrose girl, too! My private messages are always open.

I think we can absolutely work something out.

Plus, I'll take any opportunity to write with you again <3

If I don't hit you up sometime today, give me a nudge with a PM.

If there's a spot open that any player wants filled with a character, I'm game.

Always plenty of spots open and lots of connections available! Just let us know your thoughts and Sweets and I can help if you need/want.

Well I was thinking of a Dayne that is travelling around, maybe learning and staying at different areas of Westeros.

You couldn't certainly have a character that's been traveling the Kingdoms meeting and learning about people. Right now play is focused around King's Landing for the Great Council to pick the Queens successor since her heir died. Having been traveling would give lots of opportunities to have connected with and know other characters. It's a good starting point.

TreyWalker

Okay cool, how many Dayne's are there? I can look if it's easier later.

Caela

I'm not sure off the top of my head. Not many. We don't have a lot of any one family at the moment. I am just checking in sporadically at the moment (on vacation) so checking yourself might be faster! :)

Haloriel

There's House Dayne. Head of House, and a sibling. That doesn't mean someone couldn't make more, though. More is great.  XD

I am currently working to finish up the second Dayne twin and would be happy to discuss details regarding both and my willingness for them to have more siblings than just the ones I've planned for with you  :-) This includes order or younger. Older would be 38+ and younger would equate to 36 or less (can be a significant gap if the desire is to be early 20's). I am sending you a PM with easier means to contact me!
