The New World Order (in need of Oligarchs and angels)

The year is 4080, Armageddon (2030 A.D.) has reduced the Earth’s population by two-thirds. Nuclear bombs devastated the globe and what war did not kill, mega-quakes and fallout did. It took mankind ages to develop any semblance of a recognizable society again but with help from the surprising and underestimated victor of the apocalypse, Lucifer and his Legion, the world begins to take shape anew and in his image. His apparent victory over God has allowed him to manifest into the world along with all sorts of dark creatures.

The defeat caused myriads of angels to fall only to be killed or to go into hiding, the rest were thrown into Tartarus and are waiting to be judged by Lucifer whenever he gets around to it.

Nations as we know it now are obsolete; all states recognize a single, global authority under the law of ‘Do as Thou Wilt’. Demons take the lead in business, science and medicine to help fulfill their promises to the ‘Oligarch’, the only class of humans to be shown extreme favor by the demons. These are the elite, the moguls, and the famous. What makes them special is their bloodlines, these are the living family members of the individuals, political, religious or otherwise that made the ushering in of Armageddon possible.

Not everywhere is a utopia however, outside and in between the boundaries of the mega-metropolises are hardworking farmers and common people known as ‘specks’ who live in poverty but are appeased by entertainment, sex, family and drugs. Public executions are rare but not uncommon in the ‘outskirts’. If someone is caught planning a revolt they are flayed and sacrificed to Lucifer and their body left to rot for all to smell and see.

For the last century and to the dismay of Legion there have been angel sightings and forbidden stories of evolved humans that walk among humanity, giving silent hope to the specks and giving the oligarchs something to laugh about. But the stories are true and evolutionary balance is beginning to fight back against the darkness by means of gifted humans.

* Demons and angels can live indefinitely unless mortally wounded.
* Oligarchs must be given a yearly injection of serum for no less than ten years in order to become immortal (can still die if injured severely enough). During the ten years they are given to a demon to serve.
* Publicly, the demons have advanced to A.I. and life regeneration for the humans (the oligarchs). Demon industry and scientific ambition have left this part of the world wide open, they may have discovered secret technology already but hide it from the world. Or they may be using their technology against the commoners in some way. Farmers would have no legal access to firearms, being reduced to create their own weapons. The elite have access to pretty much anything.
* Demon/human ratio...30/70.
* 6 million specks, 12,000 Oligarchs
* A typical human (non-Oligarchs) would live in one of six farming colonies (Lyra, Eradanus, Vesta, Pomona, Ceres or Tyche) with no less than three large scale state run industrial farms, the product of which goes straight to the metropolis’s (Dion short for Dionysus, Hera and Artemis, located respectively in the center of Lyra, Eradanus, and Pomona.) A normal day may be working on the farm or visiting demon run businesses. Money is not accepted but trade is. Entertainment may come from a a traveling circus courageous or stupid enough to brave the ‘in-betweens’ or there’s always public executions or the fights. There may even be a black market in the colonies and it goes without saying that people go missing from time to time. Demons would take great pains in making sure the population stays roughly the same.
* Common Demon Jobs: Military, law enforcement, Medical, science, technology, business owner, black market, etc.
* The catacombs are a network of caves and chambers that span at least 3 colonies and one metropolis. With perilous and labyrinth-like dead ends, it had taken much fortitude to explore over the centuries what they had found but the intelligence had definitely been worth it, exploration is ongoing.
* There are would be registry’s of every citizen and random inspections to make sure that no one is hiding any newborns that have failed to be registered. At times there are purges to keep the population down in the colonies.


((This game will be a free-for-all rp that means there is a command structure but no specific species is innately more powerful than another.  Some might be more powerful based off of age or skill but based off of RP it is still possible for a human/meta-human to kill another supernatural.  Further, in this game you can be whatever character you want: demon, angel, vampire, witch, oligarch, nephilim, human (gifted or not), werewolf or, pending approval something of your own creation. I am new to world building so feedback is appreciated.))

I'm tempted to make a succubus gal for this.  Only question I have is if everyone here would be alright with a demon able to go futa at will.

I'm fairly busy with a couple of group games I'm hoping to get going, (at least my Castlevania one), as well as a D&D 5e game, but I'm genuinely curious about this since the premise seems sound overall.  Not sure if my gal would be EVIL as such, but that'll really depend on the people around her I suppose.  We'll see, but I like this idea if nothing else.  ;D  If you don't mind a slightly slower pace from some people, I'd be willing to give this a shot.

My only other question is if you're expecting anything in particular as far as characters and such are concerned.  Not only that, but what's the power scale gonna be like?  Super powerful demons or just your average run of the mill jerks?  :P

I’m not sure how fast posting will be but futa’s are welcome. Not sure about power scale but if it helps to know mc’s power is going to be this....The ability to toss someone’s consciousness into a dark dimension where they are faced with there own mortality and nothingness. Victim walks away changed, psychologically and emotionally affected. Eye contact must be made plus conscious intention on mc’s part for ability to work.  Don’t know if that helps or not. Demons are usually jerks but I hope the game to inspire character development and gray areas. Also, first come first served for Lucifer.

Occupation:  Runs a high class brothel and escort service simply called Elysium

Abilities:  Charming - All succubi and incubi are charming to the extreme, due to a combination of their natural allure as seductive individuals, charismatic, but they couple that with their Hellish abilities to be unnaturally attractive to anyone they come into contact with.  They're also quite good at discovering what people secretly desire, affected only by how long they're able to be in another's company.  While it has to be tied to their sexual desires, it's amazing what information people will divulge when they're 'happy', wrapped in the arms of a consummate lover and 'companion', never realizing the danger they're in until their throats are ripped open or slit, depending on the demon's preference.  Ziva prefers not to make a mess whenever she has to kill someone, but she's not shy about it either.

Transformation - All demons of her type are able to transform.  Ziva prefers to keep to female forms, anything from her winged form to any attractive woman she's ever spent time with or has at least seen in some medium or another.  She has a preference for women of color or exotic ethnicity rather than your typical Caucasian.  Still, she has a demon form, same as any, that's just as alluring as any mortal, human woman could ever imagine.  Whatever the case, Ziva always looks her best, even when she's covered in blood and cum, which is rare and far between since she's a bit vain about her appearance despite her ability to shapeshift as she desires.

Draining Embrace - Like all succubi and incubi, Ziva is able to drain away the souls from those she couples with.  She doesn't necessarily need to kiss someone on the mouth either, simply having sex with them is more than enough to do it.  Still, while the soul can recover, just as someone's blood supply can when bitten by a vampire, the damage done to a soul is harder to heal from.  While she has no problem draining someone to death, leaving them a dried up, desiccated husk, cleaning up the mess is too troublesome to make it worth regularly dropping people.  That and she's heard enough 'death by snu snu' jokes to last her until the next Apocalypse.  Whatever the case, any injuries she's sustained are quick to regenerate and heal without a scar to show for her trouble, which she very much prefers in all honesty given her slight vanity.  Even serious injuries are a thing that only inconveniences her once she has a fresh 'charge' of soul energy to draw from.
History:  She was a little over three centuries old when Lucifer had finally put humanity to the sword.  Despite her loyalties to the Morningstar, Ziva, as she calls herself now, wasn't a fan.  Oh she fully agreed with Lucifer's stance that humanity couldn't be trusted with its own rule, not with the amount of damage they'd done to themselves and those around them for as far back as the Garden of Eden, but she wasn't about the general cruelty and depravity many of her fellow demons seemed to enjoy.  She was a far gentler hand than most, but that wasn't to say she was against killing those that crossed her or those she was sent against.  It helped that she had always had a knack for killing from the shadows, although most people always remembered her passing through a crowd since she preferred to blend in rather than skulking about rooftops in the dead of night.  When it came time to kill her assigned targets, she employed her 'feminine wiles', seducing her targets before revealing what she was to them.  Most victims, unsurprisingly, never put up a fight.  Those few that managed to resist her unnatural charm and allure found a knife in their throat as she smothered their dying screams with a kiss, her forked tongue drinking up what bits of their soul she could steal before they bled out.  As such, while her reputation as an assassin that preferred to seduce her targets rather than simply killing them as most would has followed her around to this new world's rule, Ziva has a moral code, that's persisted to this day.  If the target had a family, she always left those that were most affected, husbands, wives, close brothers or sisters, etc, with enough money to cover funeral costs and the like once the world had settled a bit from all the wars and bloodshed that followed the hostile takeover by Hell's vast legions.  She was a demon, but that didn't mean she was heartless, and there'd been far more than enough suffering in the world as it was.  The other defining quality those that work under her now, know that she cares about her people, regardless if they're patrons to her club she's taken to calling Elysium, human 'merchandise', slaves bound to the demon's service as high class escorts, or the actual demons and monsters that liked playing the same role by their own choice.  Whatever the case, those who make the mistake of harming her slaves or staff always end up with a dagger in their back before she takes her time in dismembering them, sometimes while she's literally fucking them to death if she's feeling particularly vindictive and/or hungry enough.  Most times though she's content to just slit their throat and be done with it.  As for her loyalties, just because she's happy to serve Lucifer doesn't mean she won't help those that she likes enough, regardless if they're on her side or not.  She simply asks that any politics they hold true to are kept at her door as much as possible.

I’d love to hear your concept

Just reading your setting I am envision Lucifer the Morningstar as a figure that saw the direction the world was going and knew the dark truth he has always known, humanity must be held a tight leash lest they undo themselves.  It was the same reason he was there in the Garden of Eden and it's the same reason he moved with his legion and used the message of Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth."  When one attaches themselves to the weak and uses them (the oligarchs) to their own gain, they can turn heaven's laws against them.  He managed to break the power of God's that kept him in hell and instead took control over the earth with those loyal to him.  He feels his burden and knows the tactics he uses can be seen as evil or without conscience but in a question of survival of humanity, not action is too far.  Those that think he is evil for evil sake are not looking deep enough and find themselves at him when it comes to the end of the road.

After reading Regret's idea for his version of Lucifer, I might make her pro-demon, but she's not 'EVIL'.  If anything, she's likely to help those she likes regardless of their loyalties, even if her own are set in stone.  As for her being a more sexually charged character, she's fully intended to have an actual personality.  Even my most smutty character ideas are built to be actual, breathing people, and while she WILL be running an escort service and brothel, I think she's going to be far more interested in simply talking to people, collecting information, and killing ONLY those people that would dare to harm her 'merchandise' and staff.  The merchandise are her human 'pets' of course, the staff being those demons that work for her.  Again, I'll update my profile with the rest here soon after I try to get another sheet up elsewhere, but that's my general idea for the moment.  :D

History: Born into this new world order she has never known a time when her kind lived in the shadows and had to hide their true nature. And in the eyes of her pack it couldn't have ever happened without Lucifer's help. Amaris was raised with a loyalty to him and the belief that maintaining this world order is key to their freedom. To that end her young life revolved around learning to embrace her inner beast without letting it consume her, to hunt and track, and to value strength and loyalty.

Like all others in her pack she became a mercenary at the beck and call of high ranking demons, the Oligarchy, and of course Lucifer himself. Although some packs might say they were nothing better than trained dogs, Amaris knows better. The Sanguine Fangs know where power lies in this world order, and have come to sit at its side. And when the rest finally realize what the Sanguine have known all along, there will only be room at the very bottom for them.

Yes, she's an assassin, and yes she has no problem mixing business with pleasure if she happens to be 'on the job', (EI, she has no problem killing someone while she's got her legs wrapped around their waists), I don't actually intend to do so in-game unless people are generally alright with such a thing taking place, even if it's just with a random NPC or something.  I WILL however warn that she won't allow people to harm her friends, staff, and slaves, no matter which category they happen to fall under, so don't expect her to take that lying down.  :P

Abilities: Divine Inspiration - Bore to be the first leader, to command angels and deliver messages to humanity his words grip even the strongest will and twist them towards his own wishes.  Just as he can push someone to be their best self he can turn them towards their own weaknesses to watch them struggle not to completely come apart at the seams.

Light of Creation - Quite simply just as light appears it is how one sees creation and with it comes a new beginning, a fearsome power than can freeze, stupefy, and kill those without supernatural gifts.  With it all deceptions, magic, or all other forms that are not the true form of a being are wiped away.

The All Sight - A being of world as it was made he can feel the threads of reality as they shift and turn, opening his sight he can feel things that are beyond even technology or super human sensory perceptions. 

Arch Angelic Innate Attributes - Supernaturally strong, fast, resilient, and the trappings an arch angel that is older and seen more battles than any in existence. 
History: Before there was written history, before there was history to even be talked about, there was God.  God made Lucifer first, to lead his servants the choruses of heaven.  The angels were made to be his servants, the extension of the All-maker.  He commanded his fellow angels and watched as the world was formed, the terra firma, fauna, animals, and finally humanity.  They were made out of God's love but that love may been something more selfish, perhaps the sheer brash ego to be made in his likeness.  Either way as the first two developed Lucifer couldn't fight the things he saw, the thoughts that began to beguile him.  Their own ignorance made them reliant on all the angels did for them and took away their free will, following his decree more than his actions Lucifer appeared to them and found a way to break through the deception so they might be just as much individuals as his father.  There was righteous anger and what the bible chose to ignore was the actual confrontation between God and Lucifer, it was a debate that made humans question if reality itself would be undone.  In the end, God's own power overrode his resolve and the care for humanity.  Into the Abyss of Hell he was cast and though he was the scariest thing to be found in those depths he could not mettle, could not contact the outside world, he more a prisoner than any demon or evil spirit there, and this is how it would be for millennia. 

He had watched genocides, world wars, even holy wars in God's name but never before had he seen what looked like the inevitable extinction level event that loomed over the Earth.  This left him to have to use the many skills and connections forged in hell to finally find his way out of the pit.  Humanity in the end was the key to finding his way out and with his leadership the demons of hell poured forth in what seemed to take hold for their own gain.  God was put into check and his own army, his old family, had to be incapacitated, another heavy price to pay.  Lucifer knew this was the only way they would be saved and though many see him as the villain he knows without his rising from Hell the world would no longer be.  Life though different is better than no life at all, he feels the different views of what he should be acutely and tries to keep the balance, the problem with pressure is though it can make diamonds it can also bust dams, which one shall it be?

I'm going to be creating a character as well.  Currently toying with a half angel aka Nephilim.  One that is completely unaware of her origins at all.  One who was raised to believe that she is a gifted human, unknowing of what is truly lurking in her veins.

Meh, again it's not a big deal, and really it does depend on the GM, since I have come across both kinds, but most people prefer at least the ability to edit in small stuff into their profiles is all.  Hence why most GMs don't post other people's stuff.  :D

Divine Combat: Michael's first role was to protect the church and defeat the fallen angels. He is the undisputed master of all forms of combat, including natural and supernatural fighting skills. He has immense defensive abilities and plans his attacks very carefully.

Purification: The user can heal, remove the darkness or evil from a person or objects, often including demons possessing it or mind control affecting it. It can turn evil to good or merely make someone pure. The effects of this power depend upon the recipient. They work far greater on normal humans than an unwilling celestial being.

User is connected directly to the natural world and thus can communicate, influence, manipulate and control nature: all living beings and plants and natural phenomena, such as the weather and geology of the Earth, and the matter and energy of which all these things are composed. They can survive in any natural environment on earth.

User can manipulate, tap into, blend and/or become elements of nature, including air, weather, lightning, earth, stone, metal, water, ice, light, darkness, clouds/mist, magma, fire etc.. They can control animals and plants and mimic their abilities and forms.

Because user can communicate with nature, they become instantly familiar with their surroundings, the connection is so deep that the earth can respond to one's emotions and desires (blossoming with flowers and calming weather when happy, making skies stormy or cause earthquakes when angry, shifting the landscape to gain the advantage in a fight, etc.)

The user can purify, heal and generally influence the health of nature, and considering the fact that they're helping the environment, plants and animals act favorably towards user. They have access to every living species of animal on Earth and can also draw strength from them and acquire their abilities. Nature obeys users every command and operate on a "hive mind", meaning users can control an entire army of animals.

Creation (currently limited): Only unworked, natural materials in limited quantities. Example: Cannot make a sword, but can create the ore that will have to be mined and processed.

Self-sustaining:Needs to be in sunlight for majority of the day. If enclosed in a dark room or subjected to pollutants then she feels weakened and needs to actually eat and drink.

Healing and Immortality(currently limited): Healing and regeneration was easy to do in the past, but currently it can take minutes to days, even weeks depending on the injury received. A minor cut is a few minutes as well as bruises. Getting to gashes can take hours, a broken bone can take days or a couple of weeks. Depends on if she wishes to use her power of Nature to take back the life she has given to heal herself or regenerate a lost limb.

However if she "dies", she turns into a seedling that is absorbed by the Earth so she can be revived which can take months or even years depending on how much damage the world will take to bring her back. Though it is unsure if a great power from another being can revive her faster as such a situation has never presented itself. Not sure what the side effects could be.



History:

How long has she been asleep? She remembered smiling and living happily with people she has declared her friends when the world burned and the feeling of despair as she remembers a blinding light and then... silence. As the world seemed to repair itself it repaired her as well. The dark ashes of who she was seemed to come together as she rose to the surface as darkness soon gave way to light. The dark bark flaking away as her "heart" glowed.  Her powers of the Earth is greatly limited as it seems to take great effort to do what came so naturally to her.

Being confined to a human size, she does what she can to try and repair herself which means ensuring the people of the land are well. However whatever has happened and the time that has passed made things complicated. Humanity has been reduced to to a new world order as she is at a loss and tries to figure out where she now belongs. It was strange to meet farmers and all she can really do is make the "clean" and fertile so they can grow crops and eat, but it was so draining. She couldn't keep the droughts at bay or make it rain for long periods as she wanders through the world. Her body, her home, it wasn't her anymore as she was now just a speck of dust it feels.

For those who wonder how she hasn't been captured? Simple. The Earth will always protect her for she is the Mother. Though there has been times she was close to being captured or gravely injured and that took so long for herself to heal from as she began to make the hard decisions from the days of old. Should she dry up some water to repair herself and cause an early drought or kill a tree or two? It is all difficult as people throughout history always prayed to the Gods for aid when it was just her whim. When the world would dwindle her resources faster than she can create or it was becoming too full, she would create natural disasters to thin out the herd. Maybe that is the reason why she doesn't choose a side and focuses on herself. Selfish comes to mind when she thinks like that, but without her then who will keep the Earth alive?

Abilities: Molecular fission
Alexander gets his moniker from his trademark ability. Essentially, by expending a little energy, and with a simple hand motion, he can trigger fission in the desired materials.
Strengths: When he triggers the fission, it often causes a cascade event, making a much larger explosion than should be possible. This ability is rather versatile, depending on his intent. A snap of his fingers can make a little pop to bust locks, while a clap can turn a human into a fine pink mist. The noise level he produces seems to be consistent with the power of the blast, the vibrating air acting as a conduit to deliver the magical energy to fuel the power.
Weaknesses:  The whole power has some severe drawbacks. Concentration is key when it comes to the amount of power put into the blast. Additionally, hand movement is required, as is eye contact with the target matter. If his vision is obscured, the blast can't occur. Further, due to the noise caused, it makes stealth work impossible; no matter how silent he is leading up to the attack, his involvement will always be revealed before the mission is over, hence his bounty. Finally, he is not immune to his own explosions, making close combat treacherous at best.
History:

Born in the slums to a drunken lower demon and a meek mother, Nash did not have an easy life. He would spend most days trying to scrounge money, a semi-demonic Oliver Twist, if you will, and trying to avoid going home. His father wasn't particularly strong for a demon, but anything is monstrous when you're laid out on the ground and still young enough to have baby teeth. And of course, dear old mom wouldn't protect him...

As is unfortunately common, abuse and neglect at home made him a target outside of it too. Low status, low wealth, and low power didn't give others much reason to think he would be anything but a punching bag. And then one of the bullies exploded...

After a group of them beat the piss out of him - almost literally - he'd had enough and decided to goad them into killing him. Eyes full of anger and sadness, he screamed obscenities and clapped to get their attention, and was rocked by an explosion that covered him in effluvia. His eyes were crossed, and his ears were ringing, but what used to be three bullies was now 2 halves and so much blood. He clapped again, and again, and soon there was no more sign of anything but him in that secluded road. Later that night, there would be talk of a new pit where his home used to be, and bone fragments embedded in the surrounding walls.

several years later, the presumed dead Alexander Nash would reappear, going by the moniker "Breaker" and offering to make problems disappear, for a price, of course. He was known for always completing the job, and what he lacked in subtlety, he made up for in thoroughness. He would be labeled a terrorist, if he believed in anything. Instead, he has decided to use his power to ensure he never wants for anything again, and never has to worry about being hurt

Non-Linear Perceptive Mind – Allows Mercy to be aware of strange sensations and changes in the fabrics of reality.
Mentally Resistant – Mercy is highly resistant to mental influence and mental abilities.
Superhuman Physiology - While not quite as resilient as say a pure blood angel or demon, Mercedes is definitely not as squishy and pathetic as a mundane human. She is faster, stronger, more resilient. Her stamina, endurance, perception, and even willpower are higher than any normal human could ever hope to retain.

Abilities: Dead-Zone – Mordecai has the ability to nullify supernatural abilities within 100 ft of him. Rendering everyone and anything down to a base human in terms of strength, resilience, reflexes and what not. When he activates this ability, he isn’t immune to its effects either. He is rendered a base human until he turns off the power.

Acquired Immunity to Supernatural powers: Mordecai has a unique gift in that he can become immune to supernatural powers, so long as he survives their initial use against him. This immunity fades after seven weeks at the seventh hour of the first day of the eighth week, if he’s not exposed to it again within that time period. He has the ability to lower his immunity in order to benefit from an ability such as healing powers.

The current immunities he’s gained immunity too are fire, electricity, telepathy, mind control, and healing.

Warrior Training – Somewhere in the range of 2100+ years old, Mordecai is the apex of what human potential could achieve. The number of weapons he is proficient with would fill an encyclopedia and he’s forgotten more martial arts than most have heard of.

Angelic Physiology – Mordecai has the strength, stamina, reflexes, and agility of an Angel.

History:
IC: Mordecai doesn’t talk about his past. The most anyone knows is that he is on the side of Heaven, Humanity, and God.

OOC: Mordecai was born of a mortal woman and an archangel who fell for love of a woman, sometime before the birth of Christ. He was raised by his father to be the penultimate mortal warrior. Training him in all manner of warfare, both known to humanity and yet to be developed by humanity. His mother raised him to be a compassionate, humble human being capable of loving anyone if they deserved it.

Mordecai became a wanderer after his mother died and his father disappeared shortly afterwards. He wandered the world in an attempt to help the downtrodden and the weak. Fighting back against the stupidity of the Catholic Church as it veered from that path of love and understanding taught in the bible, falling prey to superstition and fear. But his primary loyalty lie to humanity and God.

When Armageddon struck, he learned that he was far more than just a foot soldier in a war against Hell. He had the ability to neutralize demons and their powers. Wherever he fought, the demonic hosts lost. Unfortunately, he couldn’t be everywhere and the war was lost. This left Mordecai confused for years as he wandered, venting his confusion and fear on the demonic forces that wandered into his path. As the days passed, he was becoming more and more like the things he fought, losing that compassion and love for humanity that he had had before the Final War.

Until he found Emrafah.

She had fallen from Heaven out of love for humanity and it was her touch and loving nature that brought him back from the precipice of falling. Together they would work to unite the different groups who rebelled against Lucifer’s forces. Given that Emrafah couldn’t travel too far from the catacombs for fear of discovery, he found himself being the more mobile leader. Delivering messages and making initial contact with different rebel forces.

Enochian Speech – Allows him to speak and understand Enochian language.  Most humans hear a high pitched buzz or nothing at all. Also can be used to create Enochian wards to keep out undesirables.
Banish – The ability to banish minor demons back to hell. This cannot kill the demon but they are restricted to travel back to the mortal plane for at least a year. (Will never be used against PC’s W/O Consent)
Bless – Blesses an object to give them unique properties based on the object blessed.
Angelic Command – The ability to command lesser angelic and demonic beings. Commands Must be clear and concise. Can only be used once per day on an individual, that being cannot be commanded to do something wildly outside of their nature. (such as killing ones self, or killing someone else)

Seraphim Abilities (Special abilities assigned to the 9 Seraphim that guard the 9 gates. These powers are genetic, though in the case of hybrids they might not be 100% the same. Baalan's father is guardian of the 9th Circle Treachery)
Detect Truth – While in his presence one cannot speak a lie directly to him. If within 15 feet of someone he can tell if someone is lying or not. He can see the lie no matter the language it is in and even if it is written on paper.
Forced Bond – Any word given in his presence must be done. The promise becomes bound to the user in the form of a Tattoo centered above the heart. One can complete the bond whenever they feel it is necessary but the longer it takes the greater the ‘urge’ to complete the promise. If the bond is unable to be completed the bond maker’s punishment is decided by the laws of Heaven. 

History:Baalan was the product of a series of mistakes. It started with his mortal mother. Her name was Dyanna. She was a mortal woman, a farmer, ad a mute. Her job was tending to a small amount of sheep outside one of the. In the middle of shearing a sheep, the apocalypse was set off. In doing such the earth split severing the nine gates. Having heard the commotion of the Escaping Lucifer. She went to investigate and found a hole. An aftershock sent her tumbling into the tear.
It took the Woman years of wandering around the circles before she found Balay. He was guarding the 9th gate. He was surrounded by a garden of Stone demonic statues. Long story short… They had a child. They named him Baalan. Time passed much slower in Hell. By the time that Baalan had finished his training and was able to defeat his father over 2000 years had passed on earth. Their parting words sealed the fate of Baalan for the rest of eternity. He spoke directly to his father. “ I will kill every demon and fallen on earth. I will return things to the way they should be, and I will Kill Lucifer. Or I will die trying.”

2. Publicly, the demons have advanced to A.I. and life regeneration for the humans (the oligarchs). Demon industry and scientific ambition have left this part of the world wide open, they may have discovered secret technology already but hide it from the world. Or they may be using their technology against the commoners in some way. Farmers would have no legal access to firearms, being reduced to create their own weapons. The elite have access to pretty much anything.
3. Demon/human ratio...30/70.
4. 6 million specks, 12,000 Oligarchs
5. A typical human (non-Oligarchs) would live in one of six farming colonies with no less three large scale state run industrial farms, the product of which going straight to the metropolis’s. A normal day may be working on the farm or visiting demon run businesses speckled throughout the colonies. Money is not accepted but trade is. Entertainment may come from a a traveling circus courageous or stupid enough to brave the ‘in-betweens’ or there’s always public executions or the fights. There may even be a black market in the colonies and it goes without saying that people go missing from time to time. Demons would take great pains in making sure the population stays roughly the same.

Mercedes Johnson knows very little of her origins, but from what she’s been told, and what information she’s gathered since, she was the product of a slave woman - a witch - and a demonic father she had summoned and subsequently seduced. Or at least, that was one of the stories. She has also been told her mother was a goat and her father a dragon, but there’s no way that’s possible… Right? -Cough- Anyways, apparently her biological mother couldn’t handle her half-demon spawn in the long run, and after two years of dealing with baby Mercedes’ bullshit, she decided she would rather be rid of her. So the story goes thus far, she was sold back to her demonic overlords in exchange for amnesty of her crimes and a nice sum of cash. Whether this is true or not is up for debate, but either way all stories end the same. Somehow she ends up in the arms of her caretaker, a Lilim under the callsign Madam. 

As a brothel owner and manager in one of the more infamous red-light districts - the last thing Madam needed in her life was a baby. Least of all a problem child like Mercy. However, raising a child such a dubious place did have its benefits. While Madam attempted to juggle her business and personal life, she had no end of willing hands to help raise a baby, which left Sadie to grow among an exotic host of different types of people. After all, they say it takes a village, right?

Being raised by demons, druggies and drag queens was no bed of roses, however. Between her naturally thicker stacher in her younger years and her caretakers’ careers, there seemed to be no end of people ready and willing to wrack up or mouth off. Early on Mercy learned the importance of self defense, as well as self assurance. She learned how to protect herself both physically and emotionally, and while she never really fit into their world, she never really went without her own brand of unusual friends either. Nor did a single one of them ever have any idea she wasn’t actually one of them.

Time went on and as she grew, so too did her abilities - not to mention her beauty. At some point she stopped being that pudgy halfling watching from the sidelines and found herself tossed straight into the center of demonic politics. It didn’t take a prophet to see the in-fighting and recognize it for what it was. Oligarchs, demonic factions, families and syndicates were very much a thing, even if under Lucifer’s rule. With so many vying for power, why would anyone expect them to settle? Lucifer might be god to some, but to others he was simply an obstacle to overcome or operate around. Unfortunately, Mercedes was starting to gain attention for her more unusual abilities. Incident after incident seemed to occur, but no one expected her to simply vanish, especially the way she did. Mercy was fifteen years old when she disappeared, seemingly without a trace, and that was perhaps the most frustrating thing about it.

Extra Notes

While Mercedes’ mother was a witch, her father was no demon. The Archangel Ramiel had a hand in her creation. Unfortunately, shortly before her birth he was assassinated. Due to her relationship with Ramiel, her mother became a target as well and went into hiding. She was found two years later, tortured for information and killed, but did not reveal she and Ramiel had a child.
Lucifer himself collected the toddler, and with angels being hunted on both sides, Madam was informed Mercy was a Cambion and that her parents were no longer of this world. Madam was also informed, much to her dismay, that she would be the child’s new guardian.

On Mercedes’ Disappearance (Potential Plot Fun for other NPCs: This part is heavily negotiable, but I think it would be fun if an npc or two took part in this portion of her life for whatever reason. One of two things happened. Either she was banished to hell, or taken and hidden in hell for a time. I figured with many acting like time in hell flows differently, that I’d take advantage of some of that time flow thoughts as well. :P Anyways, on earth she was only in hell for a few months, but in hell it was a few years for her. Eventually she either found her way back out - potentially with help or working together with someone else - or she was pulled out by someone interested in using her abilities to her advantage. I’m pretty open here. ^^

History:

Kessie Ray has been known by many names throughout history, some rather famous names of course - and others not quite so much.  She was born unto Enoch as Havilah, after the birth of Methusalah and his other progeny.  Havilah was the last child to be born one hundred years before Enoch was taken into heaven by God himself, being the only man to enter without death.  She was born to bear witness to the world, to bear witness to humanity and how it would grow and change.  She was raised and guided by her father, Enoch - to set upon her a purpose that of which would not come to light until the Apocalypse happened.  In it, the truth of her nature was finally revealed to her  - she was the living memory of humanity, and perhaps one of it's salvations, if one were to believe the stories that have been told, hidden in words written by The Metatron, or.. As she had always known him..

Father.

Guided and taught by her father, even after his ascension unto Heaven, Kessie as she is now known, took great joy in the written and spoken word.  This includes great plays of drama and comedy during the rise of Rome as well as it's fall, the ushering of the greatest wordsmiths Chaucer and William Shakespeare, having paid men to portray the playwrights for her, and beyond.  She was there the night the great ship the Titanic sank, witnessing the tragedy, as well as the bravery of those who would go back to seek out survivors.   She tended to wounds during the great wars.. World War I, World War II, Korea... Vietnam.  Her personas allowed her to fluidly blend in with the times, to maintain her sanity, as well as continue to witness Earth and all of it's glory as well as depravity.  Within her she carried the knowledge of things that had happened, the possibilities of many futures, and knowledge tucked so far deep within her psyche, she was not even aware of it herself.

The greatest act of human depravity though was the day the bombs came.  LIfe as all had known it, completely changed on this day - forever.  The Apocalypse, Armageddon, the end times.  Call it what one will - it was not good.  Lucifer defeated God, she could feel the anels as they fell from Heaven, their death screams near maddening.  However, Kessie surviving, the unsinkable Kessie Ray.  Steadfast, she found herself amongst those who were called "specks", of course - she could have moved in with the Ogliarchs easily enough, however... that is not who she was, who she is.  The daughter of Enoch bears testament to humanity, not the pawns of demons and those who would rather sell out their fellow man instead of to toil in the dirt just as God had bade them do at the beginning of Creation.

There are those who believe that she knows how to unlock the multitude of treasures her father.. Enoch.. the Metatron, the Chief of the Archangels, Herald of God.. Laid within her the knowledge of how to unlock the vault that contains the celestial treasures that still presumably reside in Heaven, or are hidden amongst the Earth.  There are those who believe that without her death, without her TRUE death, there is yet another great turn of events that have yet to happen, for humanity is not done, is not yet finished.  So Kessie Ray does not hide per se - but there are so very rare few who know who she truly is, what she truly could be.  She is simply a Speck, an inspiring Speck who has been known to tend wounds, to tell glorious stories, who seems to never get sick no matter what, and who doesn't.. really ever seem to change all that much.  There are rumors, of course, that she is simply just one of those gifted who uses those gifts.. to help those out.

While healing herself, Bella expands a vast amount of energy and is totally vulnerable, weak in her powers until she recharges through sleep.

Her ability of molecular immobilization doesn't work on every being. It depends on how strong whomever she is using it on is. She cannot freeze other witches, no matter their intent.



History:

Bella Laveau was born on a dark and stormy night back in 4011 into a family of mambos and houngans (voodoo priestess and priests, respectively), she has no idea who her father is...all she has been told is that he's a demon. That fact never bothered her, the young woman was raised in the shadows among the darker side of things. In the days after Armageddon, most children weren't allowed to take their time growing up so the Creole beauty had to grow up fast.

She was strong in her magic from a young age (having the most powerful Voodoo Queen known as an ancestor helped with that), so she wasn't given as much protection as the other kids in her tribe, it was more or less known that she could take care of herself. Even with that, almost every day of her life up until she was a teenager was spent training and honing her magical abilities. Her grandmother was the only one who would let Bella be a normal child. The old woman passed away when Bella was 14 and that's when the young woman met Ziva.

The demoness soon became Bella's best friend, the age difference didn't seem to matter, and surrogate older sister as Ziva took the voodoo child under her wing. They grew apart when Bella was 16-17, what the young woman didn't know was that Ziva was keeping tabs on her...just to make sure she was safe. That year was filled with other training, as well as perfecting the rituals to call upon various Loa, she learned various types of self defense and became exceptionally lethal with a katana. Most of her weapons were made within her tightknit community as they weren't readily available.

Once she turned 18, however, she left the shantytown she'd been raised in to travel to the Cities. That's where she had sought out Ziva and asked for a job. Anything was better than living in a shack with ten people. Plus, the demon could help her in ways that her family couldn't anymore.

If your still looking, I would be interested in playing a Oligarch. My first thoughts for the character would that he was a son of an influential family tied closely to the old world governments. He was still a child when the apocalypse came. As such, he doesn't have any real concept of what the world was like before, at least none that he can really remember well. In the present, he has become a sort of steward of the various Oligarchs. Since most of them are more concerned with exploring their immortality and vices, the character has become a sort of representative for the upper classes. Doing the work that most of them consider to boring or tedious.

Passively heals humans and angels, but burns demons. The closer you are, the stronger the effect is, but at no point are the effects any more than moderate. Those of mixed blood may experience unusual effects as the ancient magics try to decide how to interpret them. Applies to self as well. Other angels that fall while under its area of effect have a small portion of their energy added to it, permanently making it slightly stronger.
Resurrection
If slain, the corpse and all items on it dissolve into light before reforming three days later at the same location in perfect health (or close enough)
Eternal Crusade
No sleep or sustenance is needed, no energy is consumed.
Angelsilver Arms
A silver long sword forged in heaven. Wounds it inflicts on those with demonic blood don't heal. The armor is marginally tougher than most materials mortals have access to and slowly repairs itself, but most notable is the high resistance to magical effects that it bestows upon itself and its wearer.
Foul Malevolence
Sensitive to a very unique scent that pure demons have. This scent rubs off on those they associate with and lingers for a couple days at places they visit.
Weaknesses:

• As far as the abilities are concerned, there's no such thing as fallen angels. Lucifer and the twelve he personally dragged down are the exception
• All the combat experience in the universe doesn't account for social situations
• Somewhat aimless in general
• How many of these characters actually have weaknesses? Most sheets I'm seeing skip over this

History:
This is a warrior of god. That is what they have always been. It is what they will always be. After killing and dying and resurrecting only to fight, kill, and die again, most all other details have been discarded as irrelevant. What use does a name have in combat? How long the battle has been going on doesn't matter, only that it continues in hopes of one day ending in a victory. Even the form beneath the armor has been lost to time, as there has never been a reason to take the armor off. There have been moments when the battle appeared to be over, but until the day that God himself calls them back, they will continue to wander and search to fight and kill again.  This so-called apocalypse changes nothing. If anything, it makes their job just that much more important.
