Netherland - Germany,2 teams that are struggling with their game lately
As of this afternoon's match,it wasn't as good as yesterday's Russian scoring machine

Being Russian, I have to go for them and hope both them and Germany make the final. I want a WWII bout and have the Russians kick the Germans asses once more. I didn't like the way Germany played today but I doubt they won't pass the group.

On a bit unrelated note: yesterday, I learned of one huge downside of Euro...

... the Polish premiere of Prometheus has been pushed back *two months*!!! Yes, the movie has hit theaters everywhere last Friday, but not here. We're be getting Prometheus in the end of August...  :o

Was gutted with the Irish game - it was awful to watch
seriously all I wanted to do was switch it off.

Watched England play France today and groaned loudly throughout it. Couldn't believe how abysmal that was too....

And then Ukraine v's Sweden came on and I was at the edge of my seat!
It was fantastic. The way soccer should be played.
Both teams played beautifully, it was like watching pure artists at work.
Am looking around to get me a Ukraine jersey - if I could spell the Captain's name I would get it tattooed on my arm. Actually both teams Captains were wicked.

Can't wait to see Ukraine play France and Sweden play England on the 15th
these are my two teams to watch now - would highly recommend them to any one if you didn't catch tonights game ;)

Agreed, the refereeing was dire. Problem with being in Australia though is that I'm really only getting highlights unless I want to get up at 4-6am. :/ *mentions nothing about Australian WC qualifying...for now*

UKR/SWE and ESP/ITA have been the top games so far. Looking forward to seeing who gets out fo the group phase, thinking Denmark will be the dark horses and Portugal to be the surprise early exits :) Welll, not too surprising...

Here in Poland, the mood seems to be "Let's hope that we don't get trounced too much"  :D Everyone seems to be praying for a tie. I don't think there anyone here that seriously believes we have any chance of winning this game...  ;D

Every team can have a bad day. If it's long 0:0 or to the contrary, you score early, the Russians might get nervous. ;)
