Such great news. This has been a terrible episode that has wrecked lives and all down to broken accounting software used by the Post Office. Now all the wrongly accused are acquitted. This has been the most widespread miscarriage of justice in UK legal history.

Looks a bit like Jeff Goldblum in a role as an elven mage. Which actually doesn't sound like a bad idea!

I definitely count this as positive/uplifting news. German police working with international agencies arrest four men and dismantle the world's largest known paedophile image sharing network.

FunFact

The jet pack used in Thunderball was actually a real thing designed for the army.  It used a hydrogen peroxide thrust system, but was ultimately rejected for inefficiency (5 gal H2O2 for half a minute air-time).

Cat jumps five floors from burning building in Chicago, and walks away.

Speaking of the cutting edge of science:

Atoms of a crystal viewed at the highest resolution ever achieved.

The technology, called multislice electron ptychography, has enabled researchers to view the atoms of a piece of crystal at 100,000,000 times magnification.  That's the equivalent of taking a golf ball and making it appear as wide as the United States.  There are some fascinating graphics in the article as well.  (For the more scientifically minded, this has all the details of how the tech works.)
