Equality Denied; seeking players both genders, gay or straight [MUL]

Hi, I am Shadowspale. I had an idea for a game and thought others might find it interesting as well.

After warfare rocked earth to its very core, killing millions upon millions; the female half of the world’s population rose up and over threw their male counterparts and seized control of the governments. Knowing there would be attempts to take back control, they developed a control chip that when implanted at the base of the brain prevented a male from harming in any way, a female implanted with a control chip. All she had to do was press a control chip whose location was known only to her and the male would be stricken immobile with pain until she released him.

It has been 20 years since then; males now have fewer rights than even animals. High walls protect the areas where females congregate and only a few males are allowed inside as toys. Outside the cities, life has reverted to almost a medieval state with few modern luxuries. Most have accepted this and raid other groups of men freely, taking what they want if they can. Any male lacking the strength to protect himself soon finds he has become the “wife” to another male rather he wants too or not. Not all have accepted this however; there are pockets of resistance willing to risk their lives to return things to an equal state. The males are not alone in this, there are a few females that disagree with the new region and help as they can; knowing if they are caught they will publicly executed as a traitor to the state. The men face being castrated and forced into slave labor.     

We are seeking females to play Mistresses and those secretly working for the resistance.

We are seeking all males to play pets and members of the resistance.

At least one gay male is being sought but all are welcomed.

This is a VERY intriguing idea!  I'm definitely interested.

A note or two:  Men will be needed for other purposes than as toys, breeding for example.

The control chip is nice, but I rather like the idea adopted in the "Godric's Academy" story.  There, they use a voice activated collar that tightens to the point of choking when activated.  If not deactivated it will cause eventual death.  This could also be used as a form of execution.

I'm not positive that I can handle more writing load at the moment, but please put me down as interested.  and I will gladly contribute as I can to planning or refining if so desired.

The ones taken by the women are used as pets but as breeders as well. I when with the chip as its no where as easy to remove with the limited resources the men are allowed.

The Harlequins

Inspired by the pre-war book "'Repent, Harlequin!' Said the Ticktockman" by Harlon Ellison, the Harlequins fight the tyranny of the state- in all of it's forms- with a whimsical absurdist style that defies sanity, let alone reason.

Based mostly in the cities the Harlequins are famous for the 'Jelly Bean Incident' of Delta City in which roughly 60 metric tons of jelly beans were dumped onto the homes of various government officials. Also known for the 'Have A Nice Day' virus in the worldGov's computer system which seemed to have done nothing but add 'Have A Nice Day' to the bottom of every e-mail on the planet. Including top-secret classified documents. And they are known for 'The Kiss At Dawn', in which the daily propaganda video of February 14th of this year was replaced with a simple video of a man and a woman kissing each other as equals.

Dedicated to gender equality and liberation from tyranny even as an abstract concept through comedy, the Harlequins themselves mostly remain a mystery. No captured member has ever displayed an IQ below genius level, and there does seem to be an overall pattern to their bizarre acts of terrorism. It's like they want to show the world how ridiculous tyranny is by making the government into a laughingstock, but it could be something more sinister.

I can easily see joint entries for example, picture two characters that by day appear to be a government offical and her male pet- but in private they are actually lovers that see each others as equals working against the state from the inside.

(And I usually play Dom males so I'm not sure I'd fit. Just saying I like the creativity here.)

Let me explain a bit more on how I see this game or at least the genders. Not all males are unhappy with being a pet and not all females are going to want to be in a dominate role. I can easy see a female in power liking the fact that because females run everything, there is less violence so doesn't go against the government but at the same time she prefers a bedmate whom is equal to her or who will dominate her.

I see no reason why those who want to play either a dom or sub of either gender can't play here as long as they realize that they might have to wear two faces depending on what they are playing.

I was planning on making a female doctor who aids the men by slipping them supplies. She would have to pretend to play a dom in public in private she prefers a more equal setting.

I hope I am being clear on this.

I would like to play a ruthless domme - happy order the doctors around to do strange things to the males as examples - likely may get very weird - if my character makes extreme requests and walks away assuming her orders will be followed, my character could be one of a few tipping points that makes
shadowpales character choose her secret ambition to help the males out.

Also, wouldn't there be an occasional male who 'slipped through the cracks' and was never implanted?  Such a male, likely an organizer of the resistance, would be a potential role for someone who plays dominant males.  And, if he ever captured a female who thought that her implant would give her safety...

And I wouldn't necessarily rush into starting the game just because there are enough people.  A game of this scope needs some planning imo. 

I think there should be some background:

What is the world like?

Who are the leaders?

Who are the saboteurs?

What is possible and impossible, and why?  For example, can a male, even an implanted one kill a female using a ranged weapon?

There are lots of things that need to be settled (imo) before starting a game like this.

<To Kate> Nice! I really like the idea. It could be the fact that my char is seeing stuff happen she doesn't think is ethical for a doctor to be doing and starts to have doubts about the treatment the males are getting.

Now if we could get a few more females and guys for the male side, we could get started. I am sorry but even though my little guy is part of the resistance, he is sub and can't do it all himself.

I am happy to be a character that isnt really liked - initially my character's vision was one all agreed with then I got carried away with power and became a control freak thinking myself a goddess who could do what she wished - it could be we have a few doctors where medical technology is still fine in some laboratories - and I am trying to make the most of it before they break down.

An easy way for some of the men to slip through the cracks is ... perhaps some versions of the chip were faulty - or if exposed to some strange diet - say one high in iodine or whatever they stop working - many who have chips that are faulty may not even know it.

<To NinaN> Sorry I didn't answer all your questions the first go around. My brower was being a pain and only showed the top portion for some reason.

The world isn't in ruins completely. There remains quite a bit of old technology and a few new things like the chips. Inside the cities life hasn't changed that much as far as jobs, merchandising and such. The major changes stem from the fact that all the jobs normally held by men are now held by females. Men still work there but they are all collared with a tag stating to whom they belong. They do all the heavy work and their pay goes to their owner.

Outside the city is much harsher. There are only a few places with any type of indoor plumping, food and what not has to be hunting or grown or hand made if it can't be scavaged.

It is possible to take someone out long distance if you can get past the 30 foot wall that has been built with slave labor around each of the cities. Only the most unruly or troublesome males are killed. Those convicted of a crime are castrated, collared and pressed into slavery.

The people seeking to overthrow all this can be just about anyone, Only the president(s) and top politicians would never want things to changes.

<To Kate> What I was thinking was that some men just got missed in the round up for whatever reason. Maybe they were out hunting in an remote area or whatever.

After talking to you, I realize that it is likely that not all females rose up so it is possible that a few reside outside the cities.

I would think that instead of waiting for things to break down, your char would be waiting for them to be repaired or built. Maybe she is wanting to research the differences between male and female brains to learn what exactly triggers the different behaviors so the undesired traits could be genetically removed?

I would adore to be one of a few that has semi-command of a township perhaps a hamlet of a few thousand people - if you want a hand thinking of a world or landscape for this im happy to help :)

That would be great. I am used to playing on yahoo which allows me to have every there. I am not sure how to do that here. Like listing what laws that could get a male enslaved or executed.

Okay, so I assume this story must be set quite some time after the takeover takes place?  Else, such things as indoor plumbing would not be such a rarity as you mention, also, it probably needs to be far enough after the takeover that guns, or at least ammunition, are in very short supply.  Is that right?

Will the story take place in a large city along with the surrounding area?  A smaller town or hamlet?

What is the scope of the takeover?  Is it worldwide?  Is there a one-world gov't?

I'd probably be a male within one of the cities.  I'd be happy to start out working with you Kate if you're interested.  Maybe someone who has ties to the resistance, and thus comes to her attention.  I'm sure I'd be up for most if not all of your ideas, and it could provide a bit of a boiling point with any resistance movements.

Its world wide but I thought it would be easier to manage if we stuck to the states and confined it to two or three places.

The most really large cities like New York, were heavily damaged during the war so it was my thoughts that usable items were removed from those and taken to smaller towns and placed under guard.

It seems logical to me that some men have been broken to the point that going against the females isn't something they would think of doing so would be trusted to serve as law enforcement or guards. These guys would be in a prime position to learn of the resistance as those working for it are far more likely to approach them than a female.

I see this all taking place place no less than 20 years after the war. everyone would have needed time to adjust, the government be revised and in the case of the males, resentment to build to the boiling point.

Perhaps use this thread for people to place their character backgrounds for the game.  You'll need to come up with a character sheet template with all the info you want to see supplied.

As the game becomes more concrete, modify your first post to include all of the details that have been decided on such as government, location, details of the different groups represented and possible interactions, etc.

Setting: Post war earth; twenty years later. All major cities are in ruins; all usable items have been relocated to smaller towns. Game is taken place in America and is centered on two or three placed which have yet to be decided.

Females rule everything

Males have been divided into three different castes(?).
Free males who live outside the cities
Pets who live inside. Basically slaves but treated so much better.
Slave or Grunts are males that have been convicted of crimes. They are all castrated and are more or less beasts of burden

Chips are implanted in the brain stems of all but a few males. These chips are used to control the males with pain. Anywhere from a warning sting to immobilizing agony. The ones without chips number only a handful and these males will lead the resistance groups. (How many is reasonable? A bunch of small groups seems more logical to me)

In females the location of the controlling chip is known only to the individual female. It is located in an area that can be pressed and is thought focused so that it isn't accidentally triggered or targets the wrong male. It has a range of a hundred yards and she has to be able to see the target

Live in the cities hasn't changed that much; money has little value so commerce is based on trades and services. Electricity and indoor plumbing is readily available.

Outside the cities life is harsh as every thing has to be hunted, grown, or made. There is no electricity and the only type of indoor plumbing is old fashion hand pumps. This doesn't render bathtubs or toilets useless; it just means tey have to be filled by hand. I would think there are those who know how to work metal so it makes sense that the weapons used by the males would extend to swords and such.

I am not sure what to do about transportation outside the cities; it doesn't seem logical they would have access to gas but on the other hand I am not sure how it would be consolidated and stored by the females.

The laws governing males are still in the works; I am open to suggestions. 

Here is something I just thought of; If the free males live in groups like small small villages; they could be periodically "rounded up" and placed up for adoption by a mistress. I can't see the females only having one pet. This would allow resistance members inside plus give anyone who wants to be conditioned or anyone who wants to train the chance to do so

Right, had a couple ideas for character- will consider any and all if you need the men but like I said- I tend to play more along the lines of doms so it could be a bit odd. In my head I call them "Asshole", "Kind-Of-A-Douche", and "Not-An-Asshole"

"Asshole" - The Taxi Cab Rapist

Even in the new age, some things are eternal. Among them being that some people manage to be assholes no matter the surroundings. The identity of the Taxi Cab Rapist remains unknown, but enough victims have come forward that the authorities believe that figured out how he commits his crimes. Appearing to be just another cab driver in one of the larger cities, he seems to have secretly rigged his cab to be air tight in the back seat. When he has selected a potential victim he releases into the back seat a diluted version of a nerve gas used in the war. Victims quickly become incapacitated, their senses dulled, and unable to gather the willpower to activate his control chip, usually but not always losing consciousness for about an hour during which he does what he likes. Victims usually regain motor control naked, dumped in an alley, "HARLOT" written across their breasts with red lipstick, and his semen dripping from their pussies. Criminal Profilers believe he may see himself as someone striking a blow for male rights- but really he's just an asshole.

"Kind-of-a-Douche" - Dom

Some men get all the luck. The man known as Dom keeps his past close, not even revealing his real name, but it appears he may be the most expensive male prostitute active. His niche? Male dominance in a world where he's supposed to be at best a lapdog. Officially owned by a government official who officially gets all the money he makes, it's a front to hide that in private their roles are reversed. Often "rented out" to other women, he may also hold the current record for the most children fathered as he thinks little of impregnating his clients.

"Not-an-Asshole" - The Harlequin (Assuming the group idea isn't accepted)

Little is known about the Harlequin, but in a world of the slavery of an entire gender he seems to be a absurdest romantic anarchist terrorist. Dedicated to revealing the absurdity of the current system, he is only considered a terrorist by high ranking officials- many others see him as a mythic figure of hope and freedom. When acting as The Harlequin he hides his features in a high tech version of a jester's costume.

In civilian clothes he is simple and unassuming Robert Jones, a low level bureaucrat who doesn't seem to completely useless in front of a computer. Of course, he's hiding an IQ of at least 200 and that he's a hacker and planner of nothing short of incredible skill- but expects those kind of traits in a man? Also hiding that he reprogrammed his control chip long ago, instead of pain he just gets a ringing in his ears. Enough to know that he should be faking pain. As Robert his only seeming life goal is romancing the young woman in the next cubicle into a relationship as equals, but as the Harlequin he plans nothing short of a revolution.

i have a few ideas. The war was not nukes - radiation isnt really an issue
the "megadeaths" were due to nano-technology - clouds (like the day the earth stood still) of whilch which basically reduced all non-nano-techolgoy metal constructions to iron filings

(so resources are plentiful but most standard technology with metal components is not working - so power generators are out etc).

The nanobugs killed all humans on the surface who were not behind strange energy shields  for a few months. Some men however were in submarines, in caves - and yes behind their own shields.

The nano-machines that killed everything then deactivated - what remains are some nano-technology labs which were protected by their energy shields - some submarines - that have been abandoned but they still had some guns and stuff in them - but not a lot of ammo - so they are making crossbows etc.

the lead men are military trained (commanders from submarines) who now adopt a highly efficient nomadic life on land (they have a few snipers etc and kill dear - go through ghost cities trying to find canned food - salvage what they can - most canned food is spoiled as the metal outsides were stripped - but some underground bunkers may have some which they look for - - but they dont have heavy machinery to dig so its hard going.

Satalights still work but nothing on the ground can talk to them.

The woman / some men camps have made universities into forts - and have built walls about most primary universities and slowly trying to get out of a new effective dark age - before the paper books decay - laptops and computers are rare - internet down.

the nanotech labs that are left are very very few - and all known ones are controlled by woman (well as far as the woman know - but are constantly paranoid about any men finding new ones) - the nano-tech labs are powered by solar pannels - but these are not enough to power much more than the labs themselves - perhaps a few extra lights in buildings around it but not much more - no factories exist to make new high tech components - the nano-tech labs can mainly only make nanoings - like medical chips and perform medical procedures themselves - (males can be placed / strapped into a chair that is lowed into a bath of nano-things - and the operators just say what they want via voice recongition - no need for medical knowledge or getting their hands dirty themeslves) then the nano-bots in the "bath" and some robot arms just do everything
- then when its done the chair raises up - and an hour or so later the patient wakes.

Most nano-labs are these circular rooms where the "doctor" is in the middle looking at monitors of progress and these chairs fixed above baths dot the exterior (semi-transpent solar pannels on top - sun can shine though when its not doing anything)
The nano-labs are well made and effectively repair themselves - as long as iron filings or raw materials and regularly given to it the building may as well be self-sufficient.

So no cars - but because a lot of pluming and sewerage are below ground - basic water-needs are still met - agriculture is mainly strange greenhouses in universities and some fields powered by wooden wind mills - but without harvesters - horses and men are used to work the fields.

But boats - wooden sailing boats are used for transportation - horse drawn carts also.

Greek islands would be a spot I would adore to be in - and some of the woman want to rebuild culture like the ancient greeks did - wearing togas etc - ancient Greek architecture - adoption of greek goddesses (and their emulation).

Each of the "matriarchs" have their own vision for rebuilding society - some want forests and gardens everywhere - I may be one of them - some want floating ship towns - ideal for transportation.

perhaps the men found a busted nano-tech lab but wired it up to power a dozen green houses in a hydroponic sense instead which they use to fashion some drugs - slowly getting some powerful woman addicted - sending them insane (my character being one of them)  - and effectively getting their own back rotting us from within
while other men plan something more directly confrontational.

Kate; I applaud you as that was very well thought out and reasoned. Not so sure about the nano bots however or the labs because I wasn't seeing things quite so advanced. The leaders being military makes perfect sense and being in subs out of reach is a very plausible explanation for some of the men not having chips. I like the idea of some of the females being given drugs as a means to undermine them and I adore the idea of those higher up the ranks each having their own version of what the world should be; it will place them at each others throats which will further undermine them.

My problem with the nanos is this; if the new world is still relying on it and there are no way at the moment to feed them new metals it would all come to a screeching halt once the ready metals were used. Plus there remains the fact it the technology itself that would give the females the advantage over the males because in a world that advanced you know they would depend on it and once they didn't have they would be sitting ducks.

I could counter part of this by having all those in positions of true power be military themselves which would explain why some women weren't behind the walls but I want the game to rely on the people, not the technology left behind. The reason the females took over in the first place was because of the war; it doesn't make sense to me they would continue to rely on something that was the foundation for that war and something that could fall into enemy hands.

i was thinking that cars etc are reduced to iron fillings by the nano-bot things
so finding metal isnt hard - just walk into any place where metal used to be and have a bucket ready. but if nano-bots are not your thing that is ok.

Another idea - a engineered super virus wiped out most of the worlds people.

Those that survived had different genes.

What if the men were controlled - not by technology (advanced technology is more or less lost) but by psychic / mental abilities (which the new breed of women were naturally inclined towards having) ?

But some men, not many, but some, could resist ?

Chemical warfare was the way I was leaning but after second thought I realize its not very rational; it would affect all living creatures; not just humans. So yeah, something Bio is much more fitting.

If the females are evolving in that direction, why wouldn't the men be too? Nature doesn't normally give one gender such an advantage over the other. Female spiders are bigger than their mates and will make a meal out of them if possible but the males have been given ways around this. Wouldn't human males start to develop the means to woo a potential mate; lessening the potential danger?

I'd be interested in joining the rp. Here's a rough outline of my character:

He is in his fourties (or late thirties at best) and a veteran of the war. So, he knows how the world used to be before the war and he has become bitter about it. His reasoning is, while he was fighting, a third force has risen up and taken even the victory he had fought for away. He has become rather misogynistic and is leading something of a guerilla warfare against the woman. Using a large arsenal of the base he was stationed at, he has become known as a ruthless terrorist.

He holds little love for women, and would very much like to see the world reversed, with the women as the slaves, just as he thinks it should be. Since he is chip-free, having run into a forest and barricaded himself in a system of caves there, he still has the liberties to wage war. He openly welcomes any man wishing to join his cause, but makes it perfectly clear that his way to achieve victory is brute force. Also he wants to make sure that any man joining him is chip-less and so not a potential threat.

As the rp starts out, he has control over a very small group of men (I'm thinking a dozen at most, if any wants to join, ya welcome) and he's slowly but surely running out of ammo and weapons. So, he intends to raid either a city or another arsenal (if they still exist) to stock up.

I like. One of the aspects I wanted to bring in was the groups of males raiding each other for supplies as well as stealing from the females. I just can't see the males who aren't involved in the resistance just sitting around talking about how it used to be. A good portion of them would think "I might not be able to prevent what has happened but damn if I am going to just sit here! Oh look! That group of men has nice, fat pigs that will taste good this winter and they have other things we can use! Let's go get it!"

Outside its survival of the fittest. Even a male who is sub will have to have an aggressive streak of some sort or end up dead.

While it is true that there probably would be some Darwinistic streaks in the man, I can't really grasp why they haven't attacked the women. Okay, they may have superior technology and strongholds on their hands, but consider this:

They are in a limited space, smaller cities and colonies maybe. Cities like NY, as you said, are non-existant, so I don't know how big those cities that the women occupy are, number and area-wise.

They are surrounded by the wilderness, aka men. Men would know that, given superior numbers, they could try and lay siege to those cities, one way or the other.

I somehow question why men would suddenly go all feral and onto each others throat when they know they could also just form their own society (you know, that was the result of evolution anyway, the road from tribes to globalization). So, the men would take several steps backwards in just twenty years after a war?

They don't attack openly because they are implanted with chips that can cause immobilizing pain which means they would be caught, castrated and sent to the slave pens.

As for suddenly going feral...its not sudden. Its been at least 20 years. I am not saying all men are of the mind to raid because that would be dictating how a character thinks and I will not cross that line. I am saying some will want to raid to increase what they already have.

The presidents will all be npcs unless I get people that I know well enough to know they won't start just doing things like issuing laws that state all males are to be hunted down and placed in a tracking collar or start a war I didn't intend.

With that said I have three reasons why they are in smaller groups instead of one or two larger ones.

A large group of people in one area means the natural resources such as lumber and wild life are depleted that much faster. They would have to travel further and further to find them.

You put large groups of people together for long periods of time and tempers start to flare; soon they are splitting into like minded groups that are fighting against each other on a regular basis as each strives to come out on top.

Smaller groups scattered out over an large area are not as likely to draw attention nor would they seem as threatening as larger groups of men whom the females know are not happy with how they are living.

Alright, I guess I can accept that. But I don't think all of the men do need to have an aggressive streak. After all, this whole situation out in the wild seems like a prison, so I suppose there will be men who will willingly become 'women' and take care of menial stuff, cooking and everything in order to be protected and survive.

Anyways, as I said earlier, my role would be that of a rebelling veteran who has nothing but anger left when thinking about the women. So, a dominant male who is leading a small band. While he mostly avoids killing other men, he has no qualms doing it when it turns out that those men have no intention to fight, as he thinks they're just as guilty of this situation as the women.

Will there be a seperate thread where we'll post our profiles or should we just use this one?

I was hoping to get more players at the moment we have only two or three females, only two dominate males and only three males outside. Both females are doctors; I am not sure what one person is interested in playing; if she said I have missed it.

My guy is a gay sub who is a member of the resistance; there are three sub males inside the cities. Starting now, although I suppose making up sheets ahead of time couldn't hurt, would mean I would have to be playing at least six characters most of whom would be doms which I am not.

well for a start with 99 percent of the population wiped out - lets say by a super virus - the usefulness of cities is actually lost. perhaps they crawl with pests like cockroaches - feeding on staggering supplies they find - initial burst from rotting corpses then its own ecosystem appeared - infested by insects ever since (perhaps plague riddin cockroaches) so ventering into a city is a boon for resources but very dangerous and not something you want to walk in with just a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops for.

if it was a super-virus - it may have been unintentional, initially it never really was "woman spontaneously deciding to fight men" ... perhaps the "chip thing" or "psychic" domination some woman have is localised and not widespread. Some groups finding shelter in lush places have an armish style life - with occasional equipment they find they can get working, others are nomadic ?

I'm interested in joining as one of the male. I'm fine with either dominant or submissive as I'm relatively new to RP and I would like to explore different types of characters.

A question that needs to be adressed is how women could organize themselves so well that they could take up power. Either it happened through a mutation (such as psychic control or whatnot) or during the war, there was an uprise in feminist culture, outright cults starting to form that kept the women in order.

Also, are we allowed to have more than one character? Since you are playing six (!) characters, I thought that maybe I could help you out with one.

Here was my original concept. The females rose up because a war was in process. At that point there were more females than males in most areas due to the heavy loses. This made it easy to take control but not until a large portion of the populace had died.

Give me time to organize all the details and I will put up a more detailed description. Things have been going so fast here I haven't had the chance.

I don't want to play six characters I had planned on two but if we start now not only am I forced to play more I am forced to play doms. I am not dom, maybe a little aggressive at times but I can't do doms easily. it is a struggle for me and not something I enjoy. Please don't push me into it.

We can always use doms of both genders straight or gay. I am trying my best to accommodate everyone who might want to play while keeping the feeling for the world I saw as well as trying to make it as plausible as possible while incorporating all the ideas that are being handed to me..

I was thinking each city held no more than maybe two thousand people. Easily half that are female followed by pets and then slaves. Each city will need a leader, police force, guards ect...

All that makes me wonder if to start with we should focus on just one for now. The Mayor could be an npc but the head of the police could be an active character. I am thinking a real biatch who cuts no one any slack. She takes her order from the mayor but isn't above acting on her own.

Background

Fiona walks and talks in a manner which demands attention, an aspect she has used to become a powerful member in society, albeit an unliked one. Fascination of control has provided her with a ruthless dream to change life itself, a fanatical compulsion which finds her ordering doctors in medical labs about with reckless abandon.

Her medical experimentation to further the cause of creating castes of increasingly more capable females stops at nothing. In the previous year she was finally convinced by specialists to abandon her hopes to fuse genes of bats with woman such that they can have great wings which grant the gift of flight. This set back infuriated her to the point she has now focused all energy down an even more exotic path.

The fact males are needed for reproduction at all irks her greatly, to her it seems an honor which only true leaders deserve - namely herself. Disturbingly to those under her, recent advancements in the medical labs she has control over has brought her closer to this dream than any thought possible. This obsession and her blatant taking of narcotics in front of other Matriarchs has dwindled hopes of true friendships, an isolation which has made her see all people as opportunities to further her narcissistic causes.  Although she talks slowly, soothingly, deliberately, no charm ways can hide her megalomania.

To her, such ends ethically justify all means.

If Fiona is not in a medical lab performing experiments she is likely to be found overseeing workers tend to the creation of the narcotics she is dependent on.

A strong body, born from the war and from the life in the wilderness over the years is what defines Curtis. His body shows a fair share of scars, but it is a constant reminder to him and others that life and Curtis are both dangerous. Proficient in close combat, he can take out most men and very nearly every woman with ease.

Brief history:
After joining the war at the young age of 18, Curtis had fought valiantly in many battles. However, his victory was pyrrhic. Upon returning home, he found that the women had abolished the system, the state he was fighting for. Acting faster than most of his companions, he evaded capture and hid away in a remote forest with a large stash of weapon, a truck and even a tank.

However, as the years went by, the tank and the truck ran out of fuel and became only useful as shelter. Curtis himself had taken refuge in a small system of caves where he neatly barricaded himself, only seldomly leaving it to hunt. What he hunted depended on what he found. If he found deer, he would kill it. If he found other men, he would mostly rob them, but not kill them. After all, he figured that every man was needed to overthrow the women eventually. He also avoided using his ammonition, as he was well aware that he would need it.

So, he bid his time. He cultivated a bit of land around his hideout, but mostly fed on whatever the hunt brought in. This way, he spent years, mulling over possibilities on how to overcome the odds that favored the women now. They had cities, walls, most of the technology and a fair share of men as either their slaves or pet. And even those that were not enslaved or immasculated already were somewhat unusable for his plans as they had been implanted with that damnable chip.

But roughly a year ago, he quickly established himself as the leader of a small band of men that came across his hideout once. After a brief confrontation, the men submitted to him, both because of his weapons and martial prowess. Now, with this new sort of resource at his hand, Curtis has found new power to use against the tyrants.

Personality:
Dominating and cunning (and also in possession of a lot of guns), he is a born leader. His statue demands respect and so does he. To those that follow him, Curtis has a tight bond, seeing as they are the ones who would seek to follow him.

He feels only hot white rage at all the women, intensified by years of solitude. That is only understandable though, after fighting in a war and returning to see that what he had fought for was already taken from him. Yet, one can not deny that the years he spent all by himself, plotting against the oppressing women, have taken their toll on his sanity. To some, he might appear like a madman. Others see in him a messiah for mankind, who knows that drastic measures are required to restore the world to its rightful state.

And for him, that world is the exact opposite of what it is now: Women as complete and utter slaves as the men. Thus, he disagrees with anyone who seeks "Equality" and condemns them as spineless hippies. However, people who are in favor of the women in power gain his utter hatred and they very much run the risk of getting killed right away by him.

Despite the name "The Harlequin" has a wide variety of appearances documented, ranging from only adding a red and black domino mask on street clothes to a slim and more efficiency minded version of full clown regalia. Usually seems to appear in urban camo with body armor with a simple clown mask hiding his face. Carries himself like it's all theater, and the way he plans things out it might just be from his perspective.

Hair: Unknown, believed to be red but might just be dyed that way.

Name of Mistress: None, but has hinted at a "Mistress of my Heart"- suggesting a lover among the sympathizing women. He's jokingly used this to describe Fiona Uwle, the Matriarch, as an act of parody as well.

Are you a member of the resistance? Yes- some would say the face of resistance to urban peoples. Seems to have ties to many resistance cells as well.

Brief history: An utter mystery, this freedom fighter appeared about a year ago- hacking the radio broadcast computers and replacing a propaganda recording of Fiona Uwle with himself reading the pre-war book "'Repent, Harlequin' Said The Ticktockman" out loud. Since then he seems dedicated to a sort of absurdist, romantic anarchist form of terrorism. At least, as defined by the state- as far as anyone can tell he's never killed anyone. At least not directly.

For reasons not entirely known it seems he's dedicated himself to making Uwle look like a laughing stock, as well as the society she leads. Replacing a government computer shipment with jelly beans, helping certain poltical prisoners escape, numerous hacking instances- he doesn't seem to conform to any known terrorist pattern at all.

The leading theory is that the Harlequin used to be one of Fiona's pets- one that she had killed but somehow survived. Unfortunately she's had so many killed that this doesn't narrow things down much. It's possible he honestly loved her before she tried to kill him- but that's just speculation. Believed to be sneaking in from outside the city he is like a cat burgler who steals certainty and ideas instead of objects. Now out to tear down everything she's built for society- the Harlequin's next move is a mystery.

Personality: Purposely enigmatic, he seems to search for the optimistic side of things constantly- though this could be all humor on his part. Utterly dedicated to the cause of freedom, his life before the first time he wore the Harlequin mask is completely dead to him. Hints at incredible literary background it's believed his IQ is at least 200. Behind the absurdity and humor lies a master planner and arranger locked in chess with an entire society, and he's actually landing some particularly nasty moves.

It is known that he believes tyranny and inequality are inherently ridiculous and combats this and is in part doing his deeds to show this. If he acheives equality he'll probably put down the mask and disappear into history.

Personality:  Terry survived by being clever.  He is a quiet but quick witted young man who does what he needs to in order to survive intact.  He tends to watch silently, gathering as much information as possible and only acting when he believes it's in his best interest.  His silence and disarming looks have more than once caused women to underestimate how much he sees and understands, which has helped him at times with the delicate politics of being enslaved.

This brought the war to an end but it was a year before there were no longer any deaths due to the germs released on the populace.

By this point, females outnumbered males three to one and they quite liked being the ones in control for a change. Knowing there would be attempts to take back control, they developed a control chip that when implanted at the base of the brain prevented a male from harming in any way, a female implanted with a trigger chip. All she had to do was press her chip (whose location was known only to her) and the male would be stricken immobile with pain until she released him.

It has been 20 years since then; males now have fewer rights than even animals. High walls protect the areas where females congregate and only a few males are allowed inside as toys. All the surrounding towns and cities have been stripped of everything useable leaving only empty buildings. Easily accessible forms of fuel such as gas have been collected and stored in large tanks within the cities any that remains outside is deep below ground and nearly impossible to get too.

Life in the cities has seen change of course; there is no electricity, phones or internet. Solar panels or generators provide power; money has no value so everything is based on a system of trade or services rendered. Females hold jobs of power and the men are either collared pets or eunuch slaved owned by the city. Males do whatever they are told by the females

Outside the cities, life has reverted to almost a medieval state with few modern luxuries. Indoor plumbing consists of oldfashion hand pumps along with tubs and toilets that have to be filled manually. Lighting is limited to oil lamps of rendered fat and bee’s wax candles that have been hand made. While there are guns aplenty, the ammo for them is scarce.

Are you a member of the resistance? Yes. Resistance buys food and information and sells medicine, clothes and ammo. Oh and resistance doesn't want to send him in a mine or something. These are more than good reasons to work with them.

Brief history: Born in the family of biologist and professional hunter, who lost an eye early in the war and was honorably discharged, purple heart and stuff and everything.
His father wasn't very happy with the system change, which led to a rapid family break up and ended one evening with a bullet in mrs. Pernis' head.
The next decade young George somehow managed not to die under the caring but not so able guidance of his father, traveling with him around the south-western states of USA and the northern parts of Mexico to smuggle goods between the different resistance cells or simply to run away. Thus he skipped most of what can be called education for more practical wilderness skills. Well, he wasn't left illiterate, after all there was always the need to read maps, the old botanical guides and pillaged newspapers, but his computer skills are up to now nonexistent and his general knowledge honestly sucks.
George and his father went as a team until the boy's nineteenth year, when Nature decided that old Hank Pernis had enough time on this world. Aortic dissection said a doctor from the resistance. For the next five years he went on his own, limiting his movements over a smaller area and developing ties with more people from the local resistance, whom he provides with information, game, herbs. George often serves as a messenger or a smuggler and is not above spying or shooting someone if the money is good, but doesn't undertake jobs that he considers too dangerous.

Personality:
George is mostly known by his nickname, Mugwort, which he got for no logical reason in his teenage years and doesn't really like being called by his real name. He is somewhat of a loner, able to spend weeks without talking to another human being, but can be good company if someone is eager to listen his tales about fish, birds, roots and such stuff. He never speaks about his murders and thefts and always delivers his packages personally.

Life in the wilderness doesn't really help for developing a sophisticated personality. George have yet to see someone with which he can start a relationship and as far as his sexuality goes - he really doesn't care what the partner (if any) is, as long as he feels good.
On the good side, he is generally trustworthy. Mugwort won't risk his life for someone else, but won't betray people either and usually abides his word.

Okay, maybe I am not understanding your character but I don't get why he would want to reinforce the very view of men that started all this and why you as a player think that scaring the piss out of a female on the men's side is a good idea or what making Fiona hate men even more is going to gain?

I don't think you are seeing that this kind of action would bring the females out alright. they would descend on the camps of males who had nothing to do with this like a swarm of angry bees. No one would be left standing as they sought to make sure it didn't happen again.

If you could manage to get past the guards and police that are patrolling to blow the tanks, hundred of innocent people would be killed, many of them slaves or pets.

On another note and one I just thought of. After twenty years your guy would be almost fifty, not so spry any more. Also how would he keep his ammo from going bad? that is a long time to keep gunpowder dry.

My character is exactly 39 years old, so while old, he is not too old and still in good shape. As for the ammunition, there are easy ways to store them. Sealed containers come in mind mostly. After all, I mentioned in his history that he avoids using the ammunition. If all else fails, he has a physical advantage over most women and maybe a knife or two on his body.

Brief history: Before the war, Cheylyn’s father was a police lieutenant; her mother was a social worker.  After the war, with Cheylyn only 9 years old, that all changed.  Her father was arrested and eventually enslaved where he died a few years later, although Cheylyn still is unaware of his fate.  Her mother was drafted into government service and works in a hospital in another city to this day.

After the war ended, the educational system had to be rebuilt from the ground up; Cheylyn was in the first graduating class of the new matriarchal system where she excelled and immediately took a job in law enforcement upon her graduation.  As her positions on security issues became known, she was able to climb the ladder from police officer to judge, and finally to mayor, where she holds office today with an iron fist.

Personality:  Outwardly, Cheylyn is quite authoritarian and autocratic.  She takes her position of power quite seriously and believes that a hard-line dispensation of justice is the best way to maintain order, especially among the male slave population.  In private, Cheylyn is a much more gentle person.  While she will not tolerate any disobedience, she is even known on occasion to show compassion to the slaves of the city.

Brief history: Born and raised in the city, Ruben never knew his mother as he had been sold to another female before he was ever born. From the time he could walk he was taught to submit, to be quiet and to obey. Not knowing any different he thought all men were pets, wore collars and were owned by a female. When he was sixteen, he was blamed for another pet’s actions and flogged until his back was in shreds and he had lost consciousness. He was then given to his owner’s daughter who is a supporter of the resistance. Waiting until he had healed enough he could be moved, she snuck him out of the city and left him with a man named Michael. Michael had been a doctor during the war so managed to heal his back so that it didn’t scar heavily and gave him the name Ruben. Ben was devastated when his “father” became ill and died. He blames the females for all the suffering he sees but knows that not all are cruel and uncaring. He works as a messenger as he knows how to respond if caught and still has his collar. He poses as the pet of various female supporters, using passes given by them to aide him

Personality: Ben forgets at times that he isn’t a pet any longer and submits without thinking. He still has many of the characteristics but is slowly learning how to be himself. He craves affection and will crawl into the lap of any male who will let him, seeking a cuddle. He is playful, cheerful and loving to those he knows and trusts.  He has problems expressing anger and is far more likely to hand you coffee that has been heavily salted or cut the crotch out of your pants than yell at you.

We now have six confirmed players; confirmed as in they had placed approved characters on the profile board. There is a seventh person who hasn't placed his character sheet there and two that I don't know if they are still interested as I haven't heard from them in a while. if we could get just a couple more on both sides we could start. 

We have one resistance leader, one guy that can work in many different areas. Two dom females that are not supporters, one not so dom female that is, a couple of pets and an ex-pet who works as a messenger. We definitely need someone to play the mayor; a real bitch with a thirst for power. A few more resistance members and at least one other supporter. It will be a bit difficult but the rest can be implied until we can get more players.

Please don't be shy; the more players we have the better the game will get. Male or female, sub or dom, straight or gay, I can and will find a way to fit you in as long as you are willing to work with me. I can't and won't promise you a pairing or even sex but that really isn't what the group is about; although it will happen. I will promise you that you will be given a chance to play; no character will be left sitting with nothing to do.

On a note that might have been misunderstood. It doesn't matter to me if you are a male playing a female or a female playing a male. Any and all players are welcome.

The only requirements are that you make a character that fits the group, take an active part and have decent writing skills. Decent to me is defined by posts that are at least four sentences long, contain punctuation and have been spelled checked. The post has been thought out, contains details for another player to work off and has been checked for errors.

I don't expect perfection but I do expect writing that shows I am playing against a person who has at least enough pride in what they write to strive for it.

Build: He is physically fit, kept in rigorous exercise programs by his mistress.  He is property, and should reflect well on the owner.  His skin is pale from a life-time of being kept inside, but an artificial tan does shimmer on his skin.  He normally wears whatever his mistress desires, no matter how strange or inappropriate.

Are you a member of the resistance? No.  Lack of free time of his own keeps him from forming attachments other than with his mistress.
Brief history: Marrick was only a child when the war ended.  His family had been killed, and in the chaos that followed, welfare institutions became nonexistent.  As such, he seemed destined to be nothing but another statistic, wailing at the corpses of his dead parents and gibbering in his sleep until death claimed him.  But the release never came.  Instead, a traveling group of soldiers arrived, seeing the young male child hopeless and alone.  They took the child in, and presented him to their female leaders.  The child was taken in by the new regime, initially trained to be a soldier.
But a strong resistant streak saw that career fold before it had begun.  The child was unruly, often misbehaving and resisting his tutors.  He was returned to the slave pens, where he spent his teenage years.  The physical labor made him strong, but it also broke his spirit.  The implanting of the control chip wasn’t resisted at all.  It was another measure of control for someone that had already been broken.  Because of his appearance and good-looks, he was passed around by the female hierarchy until he finally came into possession of his current master.
Personality:
Marrick is completely dependent on his mistress.  He doesn’t like her addiction to narcotics, but provides them when asked, fearful of her angry tirade should he resist.  He is her slave, and does whatever she commands, all to please her.  When she is pleased, he is left alone.  When she isn’t, he often becomes her guinea pig, and the reactions to various drugs have turned him into something of an addict as well.

Also, wouldn't there be an occasional male who 'slipped through the cracks' and was never implanted?  Such a male, likely an organizer of the resistance, would be a potential role for someone who plays dominant males.  And, if he ever captured a female who thought that her implant would give her safety...

this is actually pretty much the kind of character I was thinking of, an "alpha male" type from out of the wilds that was organizing the male resistance. I wasn't thinking "slipped through the cracks" but rather "dug out his chip" with a large garish scar on the back of his neck. He could even organize a raid against a city to steal female and male children, before chips are implanted and brains indoctrinated to form a society that can hold it's own population and combat the females.

can a male, even an implanted one kill a female using a ranged weapon?

The way I read it, the woman has to press a chip implanted in herself, and thus has to be aware of the attack, so any stealth mode of attack would work.

We do need more resistance members but as for digging out the chip...no. it is implanted at the base of the brain stem for a reason. By the time he would have been able to remove it, it would have healed in such a way that attempting to do so would render him basically a vegetable. 

This was purposely done this way so they couldn't be removed. In essence the males are held for a month or more until healing is complete. When I say its embedded, I mean it that its embedded in the brain stem itself after healing. Not fully but enough that removing it and the person still being able to fully function is one in a million if you are not a neurosurgeon.

The chips in the females are larger and not in contact with anything vital. While the chips can still be made and implanted, there really isn't many who can remove them.

hmm...  :-\ IIRC, it was stated they were implanted at the base of the skull, hence my idea. attached to the brainstem does make it somewhat more difficult.

give me a bit to mull things over and see if I can come up with something a bit different that keeps the character's feel intact.

We need more of everything; Mistresses included. I hate to possibly lose you but I am not going to lie. At the moment; there wouldn't be a mistress for your pet. Currently we have a rough crew. Gameplay can start but to fully be able to play as I envisioned; we need more people.

I am playing two characters of my own of my own plus most if not all of the npcs. I will ask the others if one will make a domme for you but I don't know if anyone would be willing.

I'm tentatively interested, but I've never been involved in a D/s rp before. I wouldn't be able to pull off a true Mistress role, since I'm not familiar with it.

I am revamping the game; I have come to see that the way it was set up limited play. Females are now Domms  or supporters living in the cities or as captured pets/slaves or free living outside the walls. Men can either be true pets, pretend pets to female supporters, resistance members or just regular men who may or may not have a pet/slave.

I can't guarantee anything at the moment other then that there is a place for any character you might want to make and that you will be given a chance to play her/him.  As long as the character fits into the history and setting, all will be approved and put to work creating havoc :P
