Chrome is crashing every few moments

I'm having trouble with Chrome all of a sudden. Every few moments, it's crashing. I thought it may have something to do with flash, but it's both up to day and has no conflicting instalations, according to the chrome:/plugins page, so I'm at a bit of an impasse. It's especially bad on any site that uses video, such as youtube or netflix. I've tried everything I know how to do, so I thought I'd ask about for help...

PS: Anyone know a good free malware buster? Maybe that's the issue...

These are both free, and good.  I use both, but the top is probably enough by itself.    Hope that your issue gets fixed.  :-)

Kinda fixed it. When other things started crashing to, I loaded up a restore point which fixed everything. I'm tempted to hunt down some new ant-virus software. Any suggestions?

Avast is best, and it is free, also picture sites are HORRID for bugs and viruses. I use Malware bytes, Avast and Spybot. and when it is all clean I use CCleaner.
