Hey, all; Recently, I've had an idea inspired by anime like Blassreiter and Gantz.

The synopsis: In a vaguely Japanese city, hideous demons emerge at night to prey upon the weak. The only one who can stop them is the coincidentally all-female demon-hunting team, XAT, an acronym I'm admittedly still working on~ Armed with high-tech weapons and equally high-tech combat suits, these girls venture forth to bring the demons down, according to instructions from the mysterious Control...

Of course, sometimes, the girls fall afoul of demons, too. And sometimes, when the demons falls afoul of the *girls*, the girls have other plans in mind...

Here's some picture inspiration:

http://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1174467

Specifically, I'm looking for guys to play the horny, *very* masculine demons the girls go up against, and girls to play the women of the squad, who might or might not be successful. I'd be playing one of the girls myself, probably someone like her~

http://www.gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=361410

And, as is compulsory, the sexy bridge bunny/AI of mission control; There's no reason *why* she can't get in on the action later, of course- Maybe a virus 'attacks' her virtually, or she simply decides to join in the fun~

http://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=281145

For power levels, the girls have big, big guns, skintight nanosuits that increase speed and strength...And that's about it. You can carry a melee weapon if you *want*, but I'd like to stress that all the girls are human, in this game...That's part of the fun. -_^

As for the demons; They're *demons*. Vaguely humanoid as best, and bestial- You're not going to be an achingly handsome bishonen in this one, guys, or anything that could be mistaken for a human form. Think orcs, ogres, minotaurs, and along those lines. Some have powers, but most are simply physical as all hell...More than enough to overpower any girl of the squad.

For some strange, *strange* reason, the girls are advised to take the demons alive when they can, for study. The demons *want* to take the girls alive, too, to bang them senseless, and possibly breed them.

I know how hard it is to maintain a game, so I'm thinking a *small* group for each episodic 'session'- After which players can drop in and out as required- After all, it's a *big* organisation, and there are lots of demons out there. I'm really looking for one guy to narrate the overall story, though I won't mind providing exposition as one of the characters, and the AI girl~

I'm really looking for 2-3 more female players, and most likely 1 - Maybe 2 male narrators...

Alternatively, I'd be happy to run this as a solo, too.

A possible opening:

The first words you probably heard was some variation on, "Clean up the Disaster Zone! Do new and interesting things." It was 2157 and in the Nova Humus Consilium--or New World Council--the gigantic bunch of people, ten thousand all told representing an equal fraction of humanity they came to an overwhelming decision. Something had to be done about the Disaster Zone situation. Only seven years ago the brave fight against mysterious monsters had been raging in pockets around the world, things that provided a terrible fight to the armies of the world government.

Bullets were somehow merely ineffective. It did not matter if it was coming out a sweet plastic rifle, strong and capable in your hands. Flechettes, pellets, hollow point, full metal jacket, soft point, kevlar coated, even with explosive mercury nitrate tips seemed unable to do the trick. Enough bullets and you could kill anything, but emptying twelve or fifteen magazines into one of these monstrosities was too much, often depleting the load out of group of soldiers before they found themselves horribly dismembered, viscera lying like so much chaff before the wheat. The Disaster Zones would start with perhaps four or five monsters in a single urban area--that was the awful part, they seemed to propagate in areas with the highest population density--and soon spread to millions terrorized and displaced by horrible monsters that made short work of people, doing awful things to their bodies with fist and fang, tentacle and claw.

At the highest level of the military apparatus heads rolled in successive attempts to find a solution while the public scrambled with a sudden world wide displaced population spilling over onto the rest of the populace. Crime certainly spiked, as did joblessness as the great hubs of businesses came under fire. Bombing runs were out of the question--valuable infrastructure needed to be preserved. Over the last seven years the Disaster Zones have been reclaimed, slowly, inch by bloody inch, with Jakarta, Sao Paolo, London and New York City and even Mumbai coming back into the grips of the people. Soldiers rolled into the area in the tens of thousands, their blood washing the area. Slowly a response formed, the "Clean Up The Disaster Zone" media campaign taking full force.

Everyone was invited to find work renovating the Disaster Zones, injecting much needed work into the economy. It also gave people something to fight for, becoming wildly popular, as people signed up to join the federally controlled organization, getting the chance to travel around the world on the government's dime doing good. A highly regarded position, and they will accept nearly anyone and find a place for them, regardless of background or experience. Not necessarily fighting the monsters--construction and education were the two biggest sectors employed by the government as part of the campaign, though a new plan had been drafted in cooperation with the clandestine and military branches. They sought to form special teams, hand picked from the pool of applicants, as well as pulling strings in the world military to attract some skilled participants.

In the end a crack team of fighters, exclusively female, some drawn from civilian and others from military backgrounds were selected. They were separated into different groups, often assembled ad-hoc based on mission parameters, and given generous salaries to match the risk that they faced. They went a surprisingly quick training regime, encompassing largely basic physical conditioning with training on how to use the new weapons and equipment XCITE--Xenomorph Counter-Intrusion Taskforce--had just developed in their sprawling and definitely zany R&D department. The standard load out was the skin tight suit made of a nanoscale mesh, it fit so smooth it was like a second skin, as well as absorbing and redistributing most kinetic damage, to the ability of being able to take a .45 caliber bullet in the chest with no other armor and minimal bruising. That was the test to instill trust in the armor. The most common sidearm is the experimental KE pistol, a sleek silver gun, light with no recoil, that shot pure bolts of force at these monsters. KE guns kept a small supply of a very powerful tranquilizer so that once the monsters had been sufficiently damaged they could be dropped and captured alive.

Capture and study was the number one priority of XCITE. Not many of the plethora of monsters had been captured, scientists somehow attempting to devise a way to get rid of them en masse. They seemed immune to most nervous gases, large scale explosions were out the question, it took a tranquilizer that would drop a whale to drop one of the monsters and then only when it had been beat on for a while. However the monsters seemed less keen to kill women for some reason and the advantages that the Mesh Suit, their armor, bequeathed upon them in the form of increased speed, strength and reaction time was a great advantage that could make someone without military training a top of the line soldier.

The biggest Disaster Zone was the island of Honshu, formerly of Japan, which had eventually been all but completely taken over by Tokyo by 2120. It had until recently been home to over sixty-five million people, over seventy percent were displaced at one point, creating history's largest single Diasporia, even rivaling the slave trade for the rate of people displaced in a given time. Many of those were also killed, many of those who survived lost every last penny, and still others found themselves in strange places far from home, unable to be around friends and family due to economic and regional constraints. These Disaster Zones had caused a great strain on the world and it was the duty of XCITE to ease that.

Of course, they had no idea what lies in wait...

That's a real shame- I'd love to play this as a solo, if there isn't more attention. -_^ Keep me in mind if you free up~!

Wintercat

I could give this a try, I know Gantz but I am not familiar with the other example you mentioned.

Interested on the DM side of things that is. Though I imagine that you'd very much prefer someone familiar with both of your examples to bring out the most of the setting hmm?

Still, let me know how things turn out, I'll try and keep an eye on this.

I'd certainly love to hear what you might have in mind- The latter series is rather obscure, and really isn't quite as important. Mostly, I just like the look of it. ^_^ Feel free to drop me a line! Haven't had many other players, yet, but it should be fun to try this as a solo, too...

Meliai

I haven't seen/read either of the series inspirations but I really like the concept. If that isn't a problem I'd love to play one of the girls :-)

No offense to you Wintercat, but I do not believe you'd be quite up to snuff for a DM position my friend from past experiences with ya.  You're a good RPer though, and if allowed I'd be interested in RPing with you in this if our gal here allows guys to play gals and vice versa lol.  If you need a good DM, while I know nothing about the two animes you've gotten this idea from, I know a couple of possible comparisons that this reminds me of.  Those being the more hentai oriented Angel Blade, Twin Angels (although I can't find all of them on the net,) and La Blue Girl a bit as well, among others of the same ilk.  Anyway, I love fantasy in all forms, and sci fi mixed in seems fine to me.  Count me in as either your DM or another gal about to get her brains turned to a puddle of sexual goo lol.

I'm quite interested here too, I could try DMing though it would be my first time... or I could just play some monsters, or I could play a girl, though some people do have problems with that...

Wintercat

No offense taken Vergil, I have taken my try with a number of games in the past, some work out well, some don't turn out so well. I love exploring ideas that are interesting, but if you have an interest in this and think you'd do a better a job as a DM, I have no real reason to put a fight over it. Just expressed my interest since it is sounding curious, and with a game like this I'd rather DM or Co-DM than sit on the player side. Not that I have anything against that either, but especially with an inspiration like Gantz, I prefer the GM side.

I got my share of ideas for the concept since I was a fan of Gantz since the beginning though. Gantz's driving force felt like it was in the fact that there was no 'heroes fortune'. Things were rough, tough, and you did what you had to do to survive. Many never survived their first fight. Some managed to scrape through, and some had dreams of surviving to the very end. In the end, the series was rather horrifying for those who grew attached to the characters, but in a way, I loved its sense of 'nobody is safe'.

I think that the same spirit of dread lurking over the shoulder is fascinating for a game too, and can be put to good use. Anyhow, I'll hope to hear your thoughts on this before I'll go writing more.

Well Co DMing wouldn't be bad since you know more about Gantz than I do lol.  If she allows it I'm sure she wouldn't be against having two or even three people help out with DMing this thing for her.  Who knows right?  In any event, if I do get the job or not, I'd be happy to have you along Wintercat in any capacity.

Seems to be a lot of interest in this from guys at least :P

Wintercat

Seems its upto Iridium and what she wants then.

Ground line-up though, a game follows a 'green' team of XCITE members who are given Mesh Suits, KE-guns, mainly pistols and rifles under experimentation. The said team is charged among 6 others to begin the preparations for clearing a beach head into the disaster zone of Honshu, delivered on-site by military transport, a small number of naval vessels waiting away from coast serving as a base of operations.

The general details of the campaign would even be public, an attempt to restore hope and establish the promise that the XCITE can change the world for the better for humanity again.

Then imagining that information feed gets severely censored along the way as the XCITE needs more and more members. Old ones are suspected dead, or worse. Figure the 6 teams that start out, there's going to be 1 team of player characters, and 5 npc teams at first, but who knows the NPC teams might slowly get their asses handed to them, or alternatively try and outshine the player characters (establishing possibly rivalries but meh, the PCs are in a far better spot to outshine them).

What happens out there, stays out there... If a team member is captured, but later saved from the situation or manages to free herself, there might be a bit of comments within team but these being people you work with, that you have to trust your life with, I imagine that they got one another's back both in protecting out there in the DZ, but also off-duty.

Then it'd be just a question whether you want to include GANTZ-like lethality values as well, team-turnover, or if you want to rather include that failure is followed by a raping in the hands of a monster or several, and escape is possible later on? Different styles of play, just wondering.

It looks like you've got no shortage of volunteer GMs, and I don't know the source material anyways, but I'd be up for guest-volunteering as a demon or two as well if desired. ;D

Vaulera

I would love to play a female character if room is still available.

iridum248

There certainly is! So, thus far we have:

Vaulera
Eliza
Ghostraven
Meiai

...Which should more than round off the team. Five people is a nice, round number.

Now to find a DM...

Meliai

Hooray! Glad to see this getting off the ground.

It looked like most of the guys were alright with sharing the villainous spotlight and there's been five of them so far, is there any reason they can't all play monsters? Maybe with one designated leader sort in the official DM roll in case of conflicts? That way you could swap out monster players in later "episodes" the same way you set the girls up to work.

Alternately, we could lock all the boys in a room and make them fight to the death >:D

In the mean time, could we get a profile skeleton so we can start hammering out our characters?

Mmmm, you certainly have a point- I'd have to consider that! Here's a profile skeleton, as suggested:

Motivation/Goals:

Motto:

Meliai

W.I.P.! I'll finish the history and motto later and fix the undoubtedly numerous spelling/grammatical errors

Name: Molly McConnell

Age: 20

Physical Description/Picture: {Picture (nsfw)}
Molly has deep red hair, brown eyes and rather pale skin. Standing around 5'9" she has long legs and a trim waist, offset by an impressive bust and broad hips.

History: Molly was raised by a single mother, one of many children in her generation who lost a parent to the demonic invasion. Though Belfast never fully fell into the hands of the creatures, at the height of their power in the area they held nearly two thirds of the city and Molly's father was one of the many men and women who were killed or captured in the long, bloody battle to retake the city. Growing up she idolized her father and the other soldiers, but was never terribly athletic. With the nanosuits yet to be invented, she figured she had no real hope of actually getting to fight the creatures. Instead she poured herself into her studies with borderline religious devotion. Breezing through school, she graduated from college at age 18 and was quickly snatched up by the R&D department of XCITE operating out of the reclaimed portions of Belfast. Just a few months later the city was finally cleared of demonic intruders, somewhat to Molly's chagrin.

After a crash course in Japanese she was transferred to XCITE's Honshu division and assigned to the team studying the rare demon specimens brought in alive. Things were rather unremarkable for nearly two years, until the day a research assistant failed to properly secure one of the creatures. While the team was occupied by their experiments the demon began to shake off his sedatives. In an instant the creature snapped the improperly secured straps holding him down. The doctors within arms reach thrown bodily across the room, and an unfortunate female researcher nearby was snatched up by the creature. He failed to notice Molly across the room as he stripped the girl's clothes away. Quickly and quietly Molly slipped from the lab, sprinted down the hall to retrieve a weapon and had the creature sedated again before the security team even arrived.

Area of Expertise: Scout/researcher, can act as a field medic in a pinch. Quinn's speed and stealth capabilities are her greatest asset to the team, but she considers her primary goal to be gathering as much information as possible when bringing in a live specimen isn't an option.

Motivation/Goals: Demon eradication, though deeper down Molly just wants to live up to her father's name. 'The Fight' as she calls it has pretty much consumed her life since she could string together enough coherent thoughts to understand what was going on, to the point where it has eclipsed every other aspect of her life. Though in truth she's quite lonely she has a tendency to drive others away, sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. Social skills were never a high priority for Molly and spending the vast majority of her free time in study never gave her much of an opportunity to develop them anyway. She tends to be terse and a bit unfriendly but she's unfailingly loyal and would dive onto a grenade (or, as the case may be, giant rape-happy monster) to save a teammate.

Motto:

I'm on the fence about her appearance. In addition to the red haired model (nsfw) I'm also considering this one (here's another, probably nswf pic of the same girl) and this blond/white haired one (and another shot of this one). I like all 3 so I'll probably take the lazy way out and let our monster players pick :P
    {{A/As updated 5/8}}

TheGlyphstone

I'll go for redheads any day. :D

So, Monsters, how do we go about this? Form a 'Council of Evil', maybe, each of us having a different 'master demon' form with thematically appropriate minions?

Lithium

I'd like to join if you're willing to take another player or if one of your current ones backs out. Let me know. =]

History:
Miyako was just a child when the Demons attacked Japan and Tokyo. Despite her family’s wealth and power they were not spared the death and destruction wrought by the Demons on Japan. Hidden by her parent as the Demons attacked her family’s mansion; she watched as her family was ripped apart by the Demons; she was rescued by the Japanese Self Defense Forces (JSDF) and while still splattered in the blood of her slain family she was whisked off to her to grandmother on Kyushu which became a refuge for the armed forces desperately trying to turn the demon horde that was ravishing the main Island.  Her family owed its power and prestige to their legacy as one of the three surviving original Ninja clans; the Mayonaka no Chi (Blood of Midnight). Embracing her family heritage she was trained to hunt and kill the demons that had slain her family. The Ninja clan has decided to combine its efforts with those of XCITE in the liberation of Honshu; although the clan undoubtedly has other clandestine goals in addition to the stated goal of cleansing Japan of the Demon presence.

Area of Expertise: Miyako is trained in the classic arts of Ninjutsu being a master of Ninja JÅ«hakkei, the eighteen disciplines. She is currently serving as the units Sniper. Her Ninjutsu skills letting her find the perfect snipers perch for her shots and then vanishing afterwards.

Motivation/Goals:
Avenge her family, to destroy the invading Demons, and restore Japan.

Motto: Silent, Unseen, Deadly

I think we need a demon Character Sheet as well.  What do you guys think?  We can classify our different dominions or domains or whatever it is we're thinking about doing the same way the gals are doing with their specialties and all that.  That's just my two cents while I'm thinking about all this.  If you agree I'll gladly pull up a sheet for us to use with Iridium's approval of course since this is more or less her game still.  I know I ain't a DM or anything, it's just an idea that came to mind.

compile a list of demons and domains and see if they overlap?

Vergil1989

That might not be a bad idea actually.  I was more meaning like fit the demons into like classes such as Lust, Sloth, etc or something like that anyway.  Considering the nature of this game though they are all going to be into lust obviously to some degree or another, but powers would need to match up with domains/dominions is what I was leaning towards.  That's just a quick example based on a more Christian look at things and I understand we have stuff from Norse mythos and all that as well, so it's all up to interpretation at this point lol.

It might be easier to compare demons based on their theme/abilities/minions, than any particular mythos or sin they embody. For example, I was planning a sneaky, stealthy shadow demon, appearing in and moving through darkness while manipulating shadows into claws/tentacles/etc. Sort of formless and liquid, with similar minions.

Wintercat

I'm stepping out.

While I loved Gantz and the reference got me excited, I think there's a lot of good folks volunteering to play demons already. I think that in this situation I'll back away and make room for Muse if he's upto taking my place in this still, or alternatively to drop the DM number by 1.

Hmmm, I was actually thinking that we'd have one guy DM'ing the mission- Giving structure to what's going on- with other demon players filling the roles within the mission proper...And, of course, getting their hands on the girls. Glyph, I'd love to see you run it, if you feel up to it.

TheGlyphstone

Well, if we're forming a Legion of Doom, I guess I'm up to being Lex Luthor. Most of my in-game action will probably be through servitors/minions then, but that's okay.

How's this for a Demon Sheet:

Name: Bob The Demon
Titles:The Sampler, Lord of Examples, Demonstration In The Darkness
Appearance: (size, shape, distinguishing traits)
Powers: Boring abilities
Ban: A unique vulnerability, weakness, or limitation (all demons are vulnerable to stuff like holy water or blessed weapons, pick something unusual and thematically appropriate that is extra threatening/dangerous to you and your minions)
Typical Minions: Generic Minor Demon #248, Cultist In Ordinary Robes
Personality: Bland
Catchphrase: Mwahahahahaha!

Looks good to me my friend.  Might take a bit for me to get a character going, but just to ask, would it be odd if we had female demons as well as male by chance?  It'd open up more possibilities and stuff, but if that won't work it's cool.

I like the martial arts girl best, seems like she'd be a fun change of pace from the rather serious-minded girls posted so far. Also, super cute.

On the other hand I've got a bit of a weak spot for miss Aran <3

Obviously the soldier girls who could be assaulted by female demons would be limited to those of us who bat for the appropriate team, but if it's alright with the others I'd love to see them in the mix

Also, great examples Glyph! I don't often find myself giggling in threads about giant wicked beasties ravaging warrior ladies :P

Honestly, I think we're a bit overloaded at this point, though ultimately it's Iridium's decision.

Here's my 'Demon sheet' as a fleshed-out, non-comedic example:

Name: Sceadugengos
Titles: Prince of Demons, Stalker In The Shadows, The Black-bodied One
Appearance: Pitch-black shadows compacted into a slender, long-limbed humanoid form. Two luminescent, pupil-less eyes in an otherwise featureless face. Has two legs and arms normally, but can sprout additional limbs at will.
Powers: Can animate and control shadows, solidifying them into arms or tentacles, teleport through shadows, and snuff out artificial light sources to create darkness.
Ban: Concentrated ultraviolet light, either from the sun or portable UV projectors.
Typical Minions:
-Shadowfiends: Animate blobs of darkness, rather like a massive inkblot with glowing red eyes when at rest. They can condense their rubbery, fluid bodies into arms and tentacles to strike at enemies, and are quite capable at entwining and grappling victims. Old or strong shadowfiends can adopt more creative forms, from winged bat-like monsters to humanoid shapes.
-Nether Hounds: Huge, hulking dog-like demons, capable of becoming almost invisible in shadows or darkness. They are strong, tough, vicious, relentless, and dumber than a bag of rocks wearing dunce caps, rarely used for more than shock troops or guards.
-The Blind: Human cultists sworn to Sceadugengos, who ritually gouge out their eyes in a prayer of fealty and are gifted with a mystical sixth sense that replaces their ruined vision. They often masquerade as ordinary blind people to disguise themselves, but fight with ferocious and fearless, if mortal, devotion.
Personality: As the partially self-appointed leader of the demonic entities that have made Honshu their hunting ground and personal fiefdom (if only by means of being capable of beating the crap out of any challenger to the position), "Scad" constantly varies between almost farcical malevolent plotting and total exasperation at his (in his opinion) far less capable 'allies'. He and his personal servant demons are phobophages, feeding from and growing strong on the fear of humans, so he is a great sadist who delights in tormenting captive, giving them the illusion of escape again and again only to drag them back into horror and depravity at the last minute. His minions spawn from the shadows of humans literally frightened or shocked to death, so he can benefit equally from captives taken as breeders by his compatriots - though they still compete amongst each other, to his amusement and encouragement.
Catchphrase: "Don't be afraid of the dark...be terrified."

The way I'm envisioning it, each of the 'story arc sessions' will be fighting against lesser demons and cultists (one or two demon each, plus a type of human worshipper who are 100% mortal but not subject to the Ban), who should be killable/tranquilizable, and as Iridium pictured, dependent primarily on brute force and muscle rather than supernatural powers. Master demons will only get screen time at the end of an arc, a 'boss fight' of sorts, and so can be a bit more flexible in how their powers function - though they should still preferably be brawlers. I cheated a little bit because I'm apparently in charge, and because every demon-hunting game needs a liberal helping of tentacle hentai. ;D

iridum248

Mmmm, I see. Though it might be fun to have slightly less harmful demons, too~ The ones a girl could have fun with/be seduced by- and get away with it, if she's careful. After all, the best way to build a fetish is with a good first experience. Love the profile, though. ^_^ Entirely appropriate.

TheGlyphstone

It's entirely possible for one or more people to have a 'seducer' demon, rather than a brute ripper, as one of their minions...and there's always cultists for purely mundane 'pleasures' if necessary.

iridum248

Name: Mei-Li Xiang

Age: 21

Physical Description/Picture:

A lissome violet-haired beauty, her hair done up in two tight buns, or twintails as the mood takes her. She has a swimmer's build, with deep green eyes and creamy skin~ With a reputation of being rather mischievous, and something of a tease. Generally, she wears a lighter variant of the typical nanosuit, the better to augment her agility, and carries 'light' weapons like the X-Pistols and the vibroknife...As befits her role as a skirmisher.

History:

Mei-Li's a thrillseeker, the youngest daughter of some well-off but boring CEO somewhere; Given how she'd never inherit, it falls to her to enjoy her position as much as possible. It could be argued that all this is part of her 'rebellious' phase, too...But there's nothing that's *quite* as much of a rush as hunting demons. Everything else just pales in comparison. Possibly to her own surprise, the admittedly flighty girl finds that she's rather enjoying it- And this is rapidly becoming a 'hobby'- She'd never call it a 'job'- that she's dedicated to.

Area of Expertise:

While not a dedicated hand-to-hand combat specialist, Mei-Li's an excellent skirmisher; She knows several relevant martial arts (Particularly Kenpo and Wing Chun), and is entirely capable of getting up close and personal with the enemy. (Though she *does* tend to rush ahead to get credits for kills.) Also, she has a knack for tinkering with electronics in general- She usually overcharges her energy weapons with a 'hot-swap' pack that discharges the entire magazine in a single shot, at the slight risk of the whole thing melting/blowing up.

Motivation/Goals: To enjoy herself/Find out more about demons/Get on the high-scorer's board, and hence famous!

Motto: "One day at a time. *giggle*."

Ghostraven

So here is what we have at the moment for the game.

So these are the valient ladies of the Honshu XCITE Team currently.
Mei-Li Xiang [skirmisher] - iridum248
Molly McConnell [Scout/researcher] - Meiai
Valerie Hjorth [CQC specialist] - Vaulera
MIYAKO TAKAHASHI [Sniper] - Ghostraven

Do we know if Eliza is still interested? Lithium also expressed interest as playing as an XCITE Team member.

For the Demons we have:
TheGlyphstone as the Game Master playing [Sceadugengos] with Vergil1989 playing [Lilith, the Mistress], and endlesspie, Laughing Hyena, and Muse offering to play as Demons.

Hopefully I didn't miss anything.

Updated :-)

Vergil1989

Hey Glyph, nothing wrong with that my friend lol.  Here's my own contribution to this madness.  Since we're allowed seducer types, I guess I'll fill the spot with a personal touch.   >:)

Name:  Lilith, the Mistress.
Titles:  The Ultimate Pleasure Fiend, the Dark Seductress, and Devourer of Men and Women Alike.
Appearance:  http://www.wacom-asia.com/community/submission/images/14/1544.jpeg
Powers:  Shapeshifting - Able to become any female form they wish with but a thought.
Aphrodisiac venom - Fangs in the upper lip contain potent venom that sends the brain into sensory overload as well as increasing desire and arousal.  On males, they produce more seed that they feed from, as well as their souls at the same time during sexual intercourse.
Life Drain - Any physical contact with a demon like Lilith is a danger because they feed on the life of both men and women.  While they prefer men, most succubi are not against feeding from women as well.  Orgasms are the best way to drain the most life at one time.
Whip of Mental Pain - Exclusive to Lilith and her high powered elites, the Whip causes physical pain but leaves no mark upon the flesh of its victims.  In the hands of a skilled user, it can be used to inflict yet give extreme amounts of pleasure mixed with agony.

Ban:  A solid gold band or ring weakens them considerably if touched to the skin.
Typical Minions:  Elite Seducers - They are the top of the ladder in the hierarchy in Lilith's cadre.  Few men or women have ever gone up against these beings and lived to tell the tale because they attack from shadows and quickly disarm and disrobe their prey before sending them to Hell in sweet mind blowing bliss.  They also carry the trademark whip that can be used to beat down tougher prey into submission before they feed.

Incubus - For every demon, there is a flavor, and for every human, there is a pleasure they cannot go without.  The same is true since these demons are female exclusive tormenters.  They are stronger physically to their female counterparts, but their methods are far more savage and straight forward.  They are the tanks in Lilith's cadre, and they know how to use their overwhelming strength to great effect in both tearing apart enemy lines and in fucking the brains out of any women they can get their hands and tentacles on.

Sisters/Brothers of Lust - Devoted followers to Lilith's cause, these humans have given up their alliances to any other god or goddess save hers for the chance to become as she and her powerful minions are.  While mortal, they would give their lives for their goddess without a thought.  Lilith keeps them more out of personal amusement than anything else, and to feed from in case captives are few and far between.

Personality:  Lilith herself is the ultimate temptation made physically manifest, and she knows it well.  She has no qualms whatsoever about who she has to screw over, (literally in most cases,) so long as it keeps her and her minions well sated and fed.  Cross her however, and don't expect to be sent to the afterlife without enduring agony beyond imagining first since she is also quite the skilled torturer.  Men and women both have begged her forgiveness in such a short time when she gets her claws in them for any length of time.
Catchphrase:  "Come to me....you know you want to become lost within me.  That's it....feed me....come into me and be sent to Hell in mind blowing ecstasy."  Whispered into her prey's ear right before sending them over the edge for the last time.

((Sorry for that Ghostraven, you were a bit too quick for me lol.))

Playing a female demon hunter is my favorite character to use. I've been keeping an eye on this thread but I dont want to break any rules so I'll just watch.

So, we've got the Hentai angle and the Shapeshifting angles filled (though if this was a more structured game, I'd question 'not as tough as normal demons' being a legitimate Ban - it's supposed to be something unique and thematically tied to your area of dominion...the touch of pure gold, for example, because gold=wedding rings=love =/= seducer demon, that sort of thing).

Vergil1989

I can edit that in if you'd like as soon as I'm able to get to a comp.  That's not a biggie for me.

TheGlyphstone

It doesn't have to be that specific example, just something unusual - "being weaker' is the purview of Cultists, whose entire shtick is that they're as fragile as mortals but not subject to whatever the Ban is. A Ban of "not as tough as normal" is just the same as having super-tough Cultists instead.

Vergil1989

I get the idea my friend and it's cool.  They would probably have anti-venom too for what my demons use to make claiming victims far easier too I'd imagine.  Like I said, I'll edit when I can so that's not a problem.

Vaulera

it depends, are we doing this like all of the women are going into the same area at once against one demon sect or are we doing it individually. if it is the former we can go ahead because i think we have our entire squad

Ghostraven

I'm eager to get started too but don't we have to wait for TheGlyphstone since hes the GM to set things up?
We also only have 4 of the 5 female characters for the XCITE Team.

Eliza

Name: Echo (actual name unknown)

Age: 22

Physical Description/Picture:
Echo's Image

Echo has a short and lean figure, but is the among the fastest of the XCITE team. She has an Asian appearance with long dark red hair. She usually wears a lightweight, armored jumpsuit, usually in black to blend in shadows. She is often carrying a pack on her back which allows her to reload twice as fast and a belt with connecting hip-holsters for her assortment of handguns, machine pistols, and submachine guns.

History: Little is known of her past and background, but what most people know about Echo is that she was one of many agents in one of the United States' secret government agencies, who knew about the Demon onslaught before the general population had any chance in fighting them. Her squad was on its way to Ground Zero is New York when their helicopter was shot down. She was the only survivor. She was found by XCITE soon after and joined their forces fighting the demons. They were glad to find out that she knew more about these supernatural beings and how to fight them.

Area of Expertise: Echo is the XCITE's Sidearm Specialist, excelling in combat with handguns, machine pistols, and submachine guns. Not prone to staying in one place at any one time, Echo tends to use her speed and agility to get an advantage over her foes.

Motivation/Goals: Having the demons kill off most of your team was very traumatic to Echo, but she wasn't going to let them finish the job. Her ultimate goal is to rid Earth of the demons and give mankind a second chance. She does not want to become another survivor with her comrades killed or used for other purposes.

Motto: Don't talk, Just shoot.

I like to think of myself more of a referee than a GM, since it's Iridium's game. I'm also waiting for at least one other demon, just to give some variety in initial enemies.

iridum248

Data Files [XCITE Team - 001] Honshu Division

Honshu XCITE Team - 001
Mei-Li Xiang [skirmisher] - iridum248
Molly McConnell [Scout/researcher] - Meiai
Valerie Hjorth [CQC specialist] - Vaulera
Miyako Takahashi [Sniper] - Ghostraven
Echo [Sidearm Specialist] – Eliza

CLASSIFIED – TOP SECRET - CLASSIFIED – TOP SECRET - CLASSIFIED – TOP SECRET

Name: Molly McConnell

Age: 20

Physical Description/Picture: http://danbooru.donmai.us/post/show/428630/
Molly has deep red hair, brown eyes and rather pale skin.

Name: Valerie Hjorth

Age: 23

Physical Description/Picture: Standing at a tall height of 6,2 Valerie has Chin length raven black hair and sharp features to accommodate a large bust and stark white skin. Her thin features deceive the eye and give off an aura of frailty.

History: Daughter to the head of the Hjorth Danish crime syndicate Valerie grew up in extremely luxurious mansions spread across the world and trained from the age of three in muay-thai and Brazilian jujitsu. Now twenty three she is an eighth dan "blackbelt" in both.
In her spare time between rigorous gun and knife training she read through the various mythos of different cultures' and religions. following this a demon attacked her fathers mansion in Nepal and taking footage from the security cameras she found out the super natural was in fact quite real. Catching wind of a demon hunting squad from a Hjorth syndicate informant she decided it was her calling and her resume fit.

Area of Expertise: Hand-to-hand combat specialist

Motivation/Goals:
Valerie is motivated by her beliefs that she is sent by the Norse deities to slay demons.

Motto: If I die Valhalla awaits me with open arms.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Name: Miyako Takahashi

Age: 21

Physical Description/Picture:  Miyako is taller than average and has long black hair that falls to her bottom and is blessed with a curvaceous build. She is vigilant and moves with purpose.
She carries an assortment Ninjutsu weapons as well as a Tanto knife and on occasion a Ninja-to.
She uses an experimental Type 77 Charged Particle Beam Sniper lance.
Her Nano Suit has additional defensive plating on the arms and has a built in Tasers in the armored plates on the back of her hands.

http://hijiribe.donmai.us/post/show/948159/beatrix_bremer-black_hair-bodysuit-carnelian-highr

Area of Expertise:
Miyako is trained in the classic arts of Ninjutsu being a master of Ninja JÅ«hakkei, the eighteen disciplines. She is currently serving as the units Sniper. Her Ninjutsu skills letting her find the perfect snipers perch for her shots and then vanishing afterwards.

Ban: While they are stronger than a normal human, Lilith and her minions are not nearly as tough as their bigger and more brutish brothers and sisters, and thus while concentrated fire is needed to take them down, it is not nearly as much as it would be for other demons.

TheGlyphstone

More RL issues delaying me. If it's any consolation, this is not the only game I've got on hold.

Though I could use some input, from Iridium or anyone else, for the setting. Is Honsou Island still inhabited by civilians, or is it supposed to be a warzone/wrecked ruin infested by demons and nothing else?

Vergil1989

I'd assume but I'd still have Iridium confirm one way or the other, that despite it being a warzone/ruined city that there would be civilians about still although they are probably afraid for their lives everyday and hide as best they can so they don't end up as lunch or slaves or even worse if that's possible lol.  That's just my two cents at the moment and it's ok about RL being a pain Glyph buddy, was just wondering what the hold up was.  Anyway, I hope things settle down for you soon buddy.

Ghostraven

I'd make the same assumption that there would still be pockets of civilians eking out an existence in the devastation as well as more or less 'normal' areas since Iridum's original post says that at the height of the invasion 70% of the population was displaced. I would think that there would be forward XCITE bases for the retaking of Honshu as well.

iridum248

I'd assume there are pockets of civilians here and there, yes, even though they're technically not supposed to be there- Plenty of refugees, looters, people too afraid to leave, or in hiding...It's a ruined place, certainly, from the initial devastation and what came later, but it's hardly a deserted one.

Vaulera

i would like to run an idea by you iridium. the squad runs through a lair of one demon at a time that may have various rooms or something. but the idea being to go through the demons one at a time to make up for the lack of them all at once. just an idea.

Vergil1989

Sounds like a good idea to me unless we get everyone that said they were interested to get a character sheet going, in which case alliances and stuff would probably be made along the way.  I don't expect ALL of the demons to be willing to work with each other day in and day out.

TheGlyphstone

Well, that was the point of having an association. Remember, I signed up to be the Lex Luthor of our Legion of Doom, that means at least occasional input from the other 'demon' players rather than being sole storywriter/arbiter.

I'm firmly against the 'one player gets screentime at a time', if only becaus it means everyone else will be sitting back and watching, which strongly increases the odds of people dropping out from inactivity.

Vaulera

i meant one demon at a time in a sense that it would be one lair rather than have the squad bouncing between demonic lairs without context. in the theme of the whole legion of doom i thought demons would be in cohesion and could have multiple in one lair. just a suggestion at any rate

TheGlyphstone

For 'Lair assaults', you're right, and that'll probably be how it's done. I intend to have much more varied assignments than just 'attack Demon Nest at location X', though, so there will be plenty of scenarios when assorted demon lords will have minions working in concert.

Syene

Hmm... Would you still be interested in someone playing a mission control character? I could do an AI, but I think there are some other lovely options. Whatever I was going to do, I'd like some opportunities to get in on the fun, one way or another. ;)

Kahana

I'm not sure if you're still open for the Demon Hunters, but here goes just in case.:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Banshee [Previously known as Anna Draven]
Age: 27
Physical Description/Picture:
Long black tresses fall to her waist, bangs framing steel blue eyes. She is of an Asian/Caucasian mix, with deathly pale skin and a lithe, curvy, and lethal body. She stands at a medium 5ft.6, and is petite, a balance of strength, speed, and stamina.  Three long, jagged claw marks score her throat. She is known for wearing dark clothing that covers most of her body, especially trench-coats. She is often seen with twin katana strapped across her back, along with twin pistols, various ammo, and a dagger in her boot.
History:
Banshee was one of the organization's early attempts at experimentation with combining human and demon DNA, in order to make better and stronger hunters. This operation was little more than an experiment, but also happened to save her life, after a raid gone horribly wrong. Wounded beyond her body's capability to heal, she agreed to an operation that would give her a demon's ability to regenerate, and also slightly increase her durability, strength, and speed, thus negating her need for the organization's specially tailored suits, unless needed for certain environmental protection. Before joining the Demon Hunters, however, she was the daughter of an American Militant and a Japanese housewife, who was born deaf. She had the capability to speak, but rarely did. She joined the Organization initially as a hand-to-hand and melee specialist, but was injured extensively in the field a year later by an unknown demon. She has the reputation of being the oldest and most experienced field member, as well as the only one to have avoided the lusty clutches of every demon she had encountered over the years, thanks in large part to her own demonic attributes gained through the operation.
She is known to be a stoic, dedicated member of the Organization, utilizing demonic telepathy as her preferred means of communication, still not used to being able to speak after so many years. She is quiet, observant, and prefers to keep to herself, though she is loyal to the organization and her team, and has never left a woman behind. Ever.
Area of Expertise:
Due to her time of service, Banshee has mastered various fields, but she is definitely the most lethal with hand-to-hand and melee combinations. She is never seen without the presence of her twin katanas. She is skilled with ranged weapons such as her twin pistols and the laser crossbow, but only resorts to using such means in dire circumstances, or when faced with opponents she doesn't care to kill personally. Explosives, linguistics, and infiltration are among her other specialties. While Banshee's experience is always handy, it is her new demonic attributes that has made her twice over an asset to the organization:
*increased healing rates, allowing her to sustain more damage than the average human before passing out/dying.
*increased stamina, strength, and dexterity.
*due to the unqie abilities of the demon DNA she had been given, Banshee has been allowed certain aspects of the demon, such as demonic telepathy, keener senses [especially hearing] and most notably, a sonic scream, which earned her her new code-name within the organization. Banshee has also proven slightly resistant to psychic attacks and demonic venom.
Motivation/Goals: Kill the demon that nearly ended her [her scars tingle when it's near]/Protect her team/eventually eradicate all demons.
Motto: ~Death before dishonor.~ -
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let me know if I need to make any edits to this - not sure how you feel about the whole her having Demon DNA thing!

Vaulera

That is a kicker, my character was the hand to hand combat specialist.

Vergil1989

We can always have more than one you know.  Besides, our newest addition seems to be more of a jack of all trades more than anything.

Syene

I thought the original poster wanted the girls to be purely human with no extraordinary powers?

Admittedly, my offering for mission control may not adhere to that strictly, but I wasn't getting inspired by the idea of making an AI. Hopefully I sucessfully offset any advantages with weaknesses.

Name: Alix St Germain

Age: 20

Physical Description/Picture: A pretty, shapely young woman with unseeing blue eyes and pink hair, Alix usually wears a pair of glasses that serve as an imperfect interface between the visual word and her mind.

http://www.gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1225279

History: A blind infant found in the ruins of Paris, Alix is the only survivor of an experimental program designed to allow humans to interface directly with computers via surgically implanted microcircuitry. With a 75% mortality rate within the first month, a 90% mortality rate in the first year, and 75% of those who survived the first year ending up institutionalized, the project was a massive failure by any rational standard. Two years ago, the French government sent Alix to XCITE. Never intending her to be on the front lines, the organization did not bother to give her any combat training. Having lived her whole life immersed in pain and things the human mind can design but not process, Alix herself is probably not entirely sane, but she's very good at what she does. She enjoys living vicariously through the teams she watches over, occasionally to the point of being creepy.

Area of Expertise: Mission Control, Intelligence and Data Analysis

Motivation/Goals: Successfully carrying out her duties is satisfying, but it is the cessation of pain that Alix longs for. Only in the darkest hours of the night does she dream of death or loosing herself forever in pleasure rather than healing.

Motto: The blind see most clearly.

Any changes that need to be made, I'll make as necessary, per the game-master.

My apologies to Vaulera; Banshee will specialize more in Melee than anything, as her katana's are her prime weapon of choice. And Vergil is correct in surmising that she is more a jack-of-all trades than anything, due to her considerable experience as an agent. If this really bothers you, however, I'll be happy to change it, as you did make your character first I did not realize the spot of hand-to-hand had already been claimed.

iridum248

I'm fairly certain- Given the ecletic nature of the group, and the likelihood of thrillseekers- the agents would probably be an eccentric lot. After all, it takes all kinds...Preferably lovely and female. -_^ One would almost think the higher-ups had an ulterior motive, sending lovely young women into combat like that.

Vaulera

if we have this many women at this point wouldn't we need more demons?

Ghostraven

Well its seven girls to three demon players so that's two girls to a Demon player at the moment and one girl that they can pass around.  >:)

So we probably do need more Demon players. There were two others that had expressed interest in playing Demons endlesspie and Muse; Laughing Hyena still owes his Demon character sheet.
I would think that we would be OK with two more to keep any of the Demons from having to do too much work.

Vaulera

Vaulera

I thought that was pretty funny if a little immature!

Laughing Hyena

#114
Name: Emperor Sseth'rahs

Titles: The Dragon Descendant, Sorcerer-King, Conqueror of the Marsh

Appearance: Taller then any lizardman, Sseth'rahs united the nomadic lizardmen of the swamps and deserts. A dusk green scaled lizardman standing at ten feet in height with magically reinforced bone and steel armor. His weapon of choice is a large scepter made of bones and black iron. He is generously endowed with two members for his personal satisfaction and his tail also can double as a means of pleasuring the opposite sex. The distinguishing marks are the colors of his eyes for they are golden in hue.

Powers

- Mind Control: Emperor Sseth'rahs true powers of persuasion take the form of both a silver tongue, his natural charisma for being part dragon and his sorcery. His ability to dominate someone is acute enough to make one obey him during a heated battle. Because of this Emperor Sseth'rahs rarely has to engage in combat. The draw back however is that he cannot use this ability upon multiple targets to such a degree.

- Acidic Vapor: Emperor Sseth'rahs iconic skill from his dragon heritage takes the form of a breath weapon that can be adjusted to deal harmful damage to a person or their equipment. Take note that a dragon-bone item does not suffer such ill effects.

- Invoke Lust: Emperor Sseth'rahs has had much time and practice in the sexual arts to the point that he has brought sorcery to aid him in his sexual conquests. With his magic he can heighten sensitivity to pleasure, cause physical arousal, assume the illusion of a desirable mate for his victim or summon demonic tentacles to torment and harass the target.

- Elemental Evocation: By means of the scepter the Emperor can channel his sorcery through it and assault those he wishes to defeat through sheer force if he has no qualms about leaving them alive. His primary powers with the scepter include the element of earth, wood and water for they pose little harm to his kingdom and uses them as both means of primary defense with barriers or to assault his targets.

Ban: The lizardmen are still reptilian by nature and the Emperor still shares his kin's weakness to extreme cold thankfully. They are extremely vulnerable to it and can quickly be dispatched with the proper tools. Also the Bonegnashers are a different type of demon all together requiring weapons of silver to be more easily dispatched. The Blood Lotus are extremely vulnerable to fire as most plants are and these demonic plants are no exception.

Typical Minions

- Lizardmen: Classified as another self aware race they were once nomadic warriors but now pressed into a full fledged and united kingdom under their sorcerer king reveling in the conquests and victories he brings to them. He encourages the ransacking of cities and towns claiming the women and daughters for whatever hellish servitude awaits. The females of the species have once been considered identical to their male counterparts but now for whatever reason they have taken a more human like allure to them and being granted more feminine qualities. Whether this is the sorcerer king playing God with magic or a natural evolution of cross breeding is a mystery.

- Bonegnasher Mercenaries: Bloodthirsty and aggressive in both violence and sex it is hard to imagine the gnolls, a demonic cross between humans and hyenas working with the Emperor but somehow with his wealth and charisma he has managed to quell them. They are the forefront of his forces and extremely rough with those they conquer. Women are utterly broken by their frenzy and men are left caked in blood. They hold know concept of mercy and see the weak as playthings to their whims.

- Blood Lotus: These natural demonic plants take the form of an appeasing batch of blood red flowers, capable of luring the victims into dropping their guard with its alluring fragrance and beauty. However beauty is only skin deep and the plants are interested in only reproduction and feeding. They use natural aphrodisiacs to arose their victims and reproduce by placing small pods inside the unfortunate so that they may devour the soul of victim and use their now lifeless body as fertilizer for new life. It is highly recommended to remove them via oviposition if impregnated for it is fatal to leave them inside for a prolonged period of time.

Personality: Calm and calculating Emperor Sseth'rahs uses his mind and his might seeking every advantage he can and doing anything to better his position against his enemies. He is ambitious and always seeking a way to gain more power especially if it causes the downfall of humanity and leaves him the unchallenged ruler. He does not care of what means he uses to bring success to himself or his kind so long as it works. When angered his entire strenght is brought to bear in both his minions, resources and his powers. No one knows why he would ally himself with the other demons nor of his grudges with humans.

Catchphrase: "Kneel before me and accept your fate mammal." "Come and embrace your one true love." "You shall enjoy this in time just as all those before you."

IMPORTANT UPDATE as of October 6th 2016 in A/A page

Vaulera

im afraid i will be up all night due to a migraine and no ibuprofen.

iridum248

Just the slightest quibble, Vaulera- I'm sorry, but I'm rather anal about spelling and grammar, to be honest. And, uh...Well, the lack of punctuation on your part is a little troubling. Might I impose on you to use capitals/commas and so on? I have to admit it's a little troubling thus far.

TheGlyphstone

Only issue I have, LH, is your ban. Evidentally, I've so far failed to explain what a Ban is supposed to be, lemee give it another shot. Qualifiers for a demonic Ban should be things you might be able to find on the shelves of the metaphorical military Wal-Mart without having to special-order them, but nothing you'd bring on a military sortie without knowing ahead of time that you should be. In this case, like Vergil's succubi having 'weaker than ordinary demons' was basically having no Ban at all (since the effects of a Ban are to injure/weaken the demons), having "enchanted dragon-bane weapons forged from the bones of a true dragon" is so incredibly obscure and rare as to effectively be no ban at all. A Ban is also meant to be universal between the Demon Lord and his minions, though greatly reduced in strength for the Lord while potentially deadly for mooks.

I have natural sunlight or artificial UV rays (because my demons are shadow creatures), Vergil chose gold (because of the metaphysical significance between gold and love). For a lizardman/dragon, you'd want something similarly thematically appropriate of similar scale. Flame-retardant foam from a fire extinguisher burns them perhaps (dragons traditionally breathe fire), or they cannot break armor made from reptilian skin (so snakeskin leather is like full plate to them), or something weirder, like being unable to harm anyone prominently displaying the trappings of royalty (because dragons in the stories kidnap princesses all the time). Or you could pull on the strength/warrior-culture aspect of the lizardman/gnollmen cultures, and forbid them to ever attack someone who has not attacked them first, for a more psychological Ban. Or something else, but I hope you get the idea by now.

Vaulera

Sorry, but as I said I had a migraine. I couldn`t see the center of my vision and had a massive headache.

Vergil1989

Well, we do have three demons now at least, so we COULD potentially start this thing up if you want Glyph buddy, just until Hyena edits though we could just avoid him for a bit and all so it's not unfair or anything as far as his ban goes as it stands now.  I LIKE the idea he had, but I agree that it'd be a bit hard to go that route with him and his goons.  That's just my two cents though, take em or leave em.

Vaulera

Laughing Hyena

Well I was trying to be keeping in theme but I made it much more common as far as a weakness goes.

Vaulera

I think that is a pretty damn good compromise if I have seen one.

Laughing Hyena

It should be I think just right. I take it you looked at the new ban or weakness Vaulera?

TheGlyphstone

Medieval weaponry sounds perfect (though I presume it applies to modern smiths forging swords/axes/etc., cause actual medieval-era weapons would be in no fit shape to hit anyone by this time period  ;D ).

Laughing Hyena

Yes but I would suggest staying away from the typical swords that say "battle ready" or such since they are just trophies and not meant for real combat.

TheGlyphstone

Obviously. Replica weapons are junk no matter what they're replicating.

Vaulera

I did read it and it bodes ill for me. My characters skills are revolving mostly around Steven Seagalling the hell out of people streets of justice style.

TheGlyphstone

Note that demons aren't necessarily invincible to normal attacks - it's just that being struck/affected by their Ban is Super Effective.

Laughing Hyena

TheGlyphstone

That's just a trait of all our demons, as noted by Iridium at the beginning. Everyone's minions are unnaturally resistant to most weaponry.

Vaulera

Would pool ball in a tube sock classify as a modern weapon, or a makeshift flail?

Ghostraven

Well just remember most of the characters are melee weapon fighters so they will be chopping up the lizardmen and beastmen left and right.

Ghostraven

Well how about the reptiles have a Ban of cold, so CO2 fire extinguishers and such and the beasts have an Ban of Silver; just like a werewolf.
Those seem to be in keeping with the other bans.

Vaulera

All of the cultists have a ban on lead and steel travelling at high speeds.

Miyu

I have no idea if it's too late but I thought I would ask. Are you still looking?

It's a good point - maybe the weapons have to be both medieval style and individually hand-forged by a smith, instead of machine-produced?

Vergil1989

I'd go with that Glyph buddy.  There are still places in the world that do that kind of thing I'm sure, and if it's necessary I'm sure someone in this world we're making would do the same if it meant the survival of their warriors lol.

I only watched it because I have brothers. The testing is cool but I think the re-enactments are silly. Yeah right Napolean, get off your horse to duel him with your CAVALRY SABER.

TheGlyphstone

DW is great, but I wouldn't be caught dead taking anything they demonstrate with (the actual weapons, that is) onto a battlefield...or taking any of their 'results' to be trustworthy eithe.

Vaulera

I said that because they hire an actual blacksmith to make the weapons to their real battle standards.

TheGlyphstone

Do they? Okay, that's a bit more relative respectability than I thought the show had. I suppose they would be viable then.

Vaulera

Do the medieval weapons have to be from a certain region like England, or could they be from another place, for example an Egyptian Kopesh  which was also an ancient weapon?

TheGlyphstone

That's up to LH.

My take (if it were my Ban) would be 'no', though, since the point of the Ban is to be as much symbolically metaphysical as literal - daggers and knives were frequently used as medieval weaponry, but a knife wouldn't (or shouldn't) qualify for the Ban even if it was individually forged, since it's a eating utensil before a weapon. Since he's drawing off European mythology for the 'draconic' inspiration, it'd be European weaponry - swords, axes, maces, flails - that would qualify.

Vaulera

Are we still looking for demons? I am curious because if so i might have some other people from my first thread up for it.

I agree in some regards to such a statement but in my own personal experience, more people means more ways a story can go and it adds the potential for far more interactions than if we had a smaller group.  There's pros and cons to both sides of the debate so we'll leave it at that for now if that's alright with you of course?  Still, more demons at least would be good indeed if nothing else.

(As note if person has something against my writing the person does not need RP with me in demon game, instead I can pick RP partner who does not mind it at all)

Name: Gorthos
Titles: Lord of Gore, Lord of Bone, Stag King
Appearance:

Gorthos is a ten feet tall mountain of hard muscle decorated with spines and horns. His method of breeding with women is by use of several tentacles which reside under his human skin weaved kilt. Each tentacle flexible with tiny mouths with tiny teeth and forked tongues but when mouths are closed they resemblance phallic shapes able to perform greatly in penetration. Each tentacle being at least inch thick. His minions do not have tentacles, instead having one twelve inch thick cocks.

Powers:

Immense Strength - All demons are strong, but Gorthos raises whole meaning of 'strength' among demons near cosmic level. He is well capable to level up whole city block by single punch on ground to create earthquake and even his lesser minions show above average demon strength.

Regenration - Gorthos is no tougher than other demons of his rank, but his regeneration is above average. Able regrow cut off limbs instantly as he looses them. It is unknown is he able regrow brain tissue or other important inner organs, as so far none has been able carve any those things outside his body. His minions are able to heal fast but unable to regrow lost limbs.

Scent and beastly senses - Gorthos has very keen sense of smell and his eye sight and hearing is average to his kind. But he also has special sixth sense which he calls 'instincts of a beast'. He can easily measure someones threat level and also predict narrow window someones surprise attacks even when his nose fails him. Of course he has no speed to match his instincts so at most he can minimises the damage. His minions share this trait also and being smaller they are quicker than their sire to react.

Spine throw - This trait is not so well known but he and his minions are all able throw up bone spines from their bodies as lethal projectiles which top of that explode in fiery blast. They are able regrow lost spikes in few short moments but they are not able to perform constant fire. But they can fire one spine at time to create short lasting concentrated fire.

Ban: Gorthos and his minions ban forces him and minions a honorable barbaric warrior code. It basics is that they do not attack mortals who have not challenged nor attacked them first. If mortals invade to their territory they warn them about it first and ask them to leave, if mortals refuse it is taken as challenge to overtake rulership of their territory. But if known the ban any clever hunter can word her words so Gorthos nor his minions attack them so long they are careful with their behavior. However same code does not apply to Gorthos cultists.

Minions: A only six foot tall miniature version of Gorthos with less spikes and horns. They are brutal butchers in close combat and able do small scale devastating damage with launched spikes. They usually do not get along with own kind, usually start headput contest to see who's strongest and toughest male. So for reason they wander in lone packs but even lone minion from Gorthos should not be underestimated. As altough minions can be simple brutes but they have uncanny intelligence for combat.

Cultists: Gorthos cultists are called Blood drinkers, a cult devoted worship Gorthos might and ways of a warrior and respect code of might making things right. Gorthos lets his cultists drink his blood which poisons their bodies to go through slow painful death. Pain which is only erased by going willingly in blood frenzy and satisfy their lusts with female captives. On record there is none female cultist followers but the few he has are brutal as men are and often rise up in leadership ranks because women can survive longest curse of his blood. During blood frenzy his cultists do not fear nor feel pain from most weapons, they are not tougher than normal humans and most eschew clothing altogether besides loincloth, so they are easy bring down with ranged weapon fire. But in close combat they show brutality and high strength. Any captured males are forced to drink the blood and in day or two the blood rage starts consume their minds.

Personality: Gorthos thinks himself conqueror who eventually rules whole earth by his brutal might alone. He despises use of magic and deception but some could say he is secretly jealous for other demon lords magical gifts which he had never gained. He has somesort primal honor of warrior and he considers figthing against mortals as hunting sport and enjoys immensely with spoils of the hunt (female humans).

In all his hunts a one woman had ever escaped his clawed grasp; a demon hunter who is known as Banshee.....

Catchphrase: My might shall rule this world someday! I shall not beg nor ask nothing from no one! If I shall fall, I shall only fall as a warrior to a warrior!

I guess I keep RP partners either because they are bad as me in writing, or that they do not care at all missing words/spaces and are able fill in the rest in their heads. Most what folks ask is that they understand the content I write (even if it lacks some words). As I said in my post above those who are bothered by this do not need write with me at all.

But if Glyph wants keep you or he dislikes also my writing style/lack of skill then I understand if I am denied.

Well, dyslexia combined with fact english is not my native language results in odd build sentences (as my own native language builds sentences likely differently than in english maybe). But what comes to Ban how sound I generalize it to 'silver projectile weapons' so it can apply to silver arrows, silver coated bullets or silver coated wooden spikes or silver throwing spears/axes? Overall I thought the theme of the Ban is that a purified hunter weapons harm Gorthos and his minions (and purified this case means pure silver). Most hunter weapons are ranged but there could be boar impaling spear made from silver and it also would work example.

Vaulera

My apologies about the language problems, but in regards to the ban None of us are specialized in that area or could possibly manufacture such weapons in the area we are or even gather enough silver ore to smelt in time to combat the creatures. It just seems unfeasible.

Zaer Darkwail

Silver is easier to find than find gold to create gold bands against Lilith and her minions. I presume anyway that all demons are vulnerable to the classic silver weapons anyway.

If the material/weapon Ban is not okay how sounds that Gortho and his minions are bound by honorable warrior code which forbids them to attack anyone who does not challenge them or attack them first. They can taunt and threaten but they cannot follow their threats if person does not challenge or attack them. Cultists however do not follow this code.

TheGlyphstone

#191
Expand it to 'silvered weapons' or at least 'silver blades' in general and you'd be good on the Ban - limiting it only to projectiles is kinda unfair to the melee-heavy team composition, though you've got the concept of what it's supposed to represent down accurately. There's nothing in there about the weapons needing to be personally forged, and it'd be expected that no one would be carrying Ban-weapons on their initial encounter anyways, it's very much a rematch thing.

A 'code of honor' Ban would also be acceptable; it's actually more limiting than most of the existing bans in a way, despite being a psychological limitation.

I can't comment or judge on the grammar issue, and I don't like being put on the spot that way in a "me-or-him" fashion. If anything, go to Iridium to decide who she'd rather play with, I'm just refereeing the whole thing.

Zaer Darkwail

Ok, but I think I use the warrior code thing as it matches quite well with Gorthos personality. Anyways Iridium decides then regarding allowing me in or not.

Vaulera

My issue wasn't the rarity of silver, but the rarity of silver weapons. Since we don't have  any prior knowledge, we couldn't be able to come prepared with silver weaponry. Silver is also incredibly heavy as well as being much softer than iron or steel. To put a coating of silver on anything would make it much to heavy to swing or fire. We are also already on the field, making it impossible to produce any silver weaponry of any kind.

In regards to the challenging thing, the women of the squad follow no such rules. They would merely gang up on the one demon that could not have any assistance from it's allies and bust it. As for Lillith's ban, people wear gold rings on a daily basis. An absurd number of places could be found with wedding rings engagement rings or even just a chain necklace in a city ruined or not.

Snake

I'm interested to join but I don't know who to use for it XD

Vaulera

Just take a look at the character sheet, make some stuff up and we can help you change the bans around if need be.

Zaer Darkwail

Well, as said, Gorthos minions travel alone and so if group of hunters attack or gang up one his minions it is considered as 'challenge' this case. One such minion could be backed up by cultists who drink minion's blood as religious practice.

But overall concept for Gorthos and his minions are ogre/stag barbaric warriors. Anyways true point regarding silver weaponry; without before hand knowlegde it is harsh ban. But any ban is meant to be mystery with each demon type to be solved.

TheGlyphstone

That's the point - especially with the resources of XCITE, getting your hands on a Ban-breaking weapon isn't supposed to be hard, like I said before, nor is it supposed to be necessary. They're supposed to make initial encounters difficult.

Note that one thing all the Bans have in common so far is that they're super-effective against one type of demon, but worthless against anything else - gold is soft, and so makes for an awful weapon material...unless the touch of gold happens to burn like a hot iron to something. A big UV-ray projector directed at a lizardman or succubus might, at best, make it tick louder on a geiger counter. In most cases, it'll be impractical to carry around Ban-breakers for everyone you might encounter, so you have to bring basic weapons as well.

TheVillain

Titles: The Tiger Shark, The Rage of Atlantis, The Sword of the Ocean

Appearance: Tig-Or-A-Arun looks very much like someone gave a shark arms and legs and made it stand up. Eight feet tall and very powerfully built, he has tail extending backwards with a end for swimming power. Two fingers and a thumb on each hand with webbed feet, his head ends in a snub nose with shining eyes above it and rows of terrifyingly sharp teeth.

A fin extends from his back about a foot, which shows a dark blue with sea-green stripes. His underbelly is white. This coloration is quite dramatic in the air, but proves to be frighteningly stealthy in the ocean.

Powers: Tig-Or-A-Arun is a warrior who evolved from an aquatic environment. His powers are mostly along these lines.

Aquatic - The Tiger Shark breathes underwater as easily as a normal person does on land. And his swimming speed is about 150 miles per hour to boot. His sense of smell is supernaturally acute, and his ability to see in the dark depths of the seas is a proud link to the animal kingdom.

Atlantian - Born in the underwater city of Atlantis, Tiger Shark is much stronger and tougher then a normal person. Has been known to pick armored vehicles over his head and take tank shells, though with visible strain and discomfort in both cases. He also has incredible tolerance for pressure and cold and can not drown.

Warrior - Tiger Shark's hand-to-hand and melee-weapon combat skills are considered forces to be reckoned with even by demonic standards. Less serious hunters and demons have called him "The Underwater Bruce Lee".

Sharkbite - Tiger Shark possesses a bite attack that truly lives up to his namesake. Between his heightened jaw strength and sharp teeth he's been known to bite the heads of his enemies clean off in a display of blood and gore.

Ban: The horrible irony is that while his Ban works, it also only makes him more determined and increases his conviction that he's right about surface humans. Water Pollution is killing his people, and to slow him down, stop him, or kill him you have to do the same. Polluted Water is his ban- the more polluted, the less natural the pollutants, and the more destructive the pollutants the more effective the Ban works.

Minions: 'The Tiger Shark' considers himself an Atlantian first, a member of a dying people second, and a Demon a distant third. Some Atlantians even ask the question if they're really demons at all. Most Atlantians seen around Tiger Shark have similar appearances of human-aquatic life form hybrids, mostly fish for civilians and more predatory animals like sharks for the warriors. The vast majority of Atlantians are, sadly, either dying of various toxic exposure related ailments or sterile.

Cultists: Perhaps most dangerous for how well they blend in, the only real universal factor is that the cultists tend to be believers in Environmental causes. And some are even trained to hide this as well. Only Tig-Or-A-Arun's favorites will be trained as fighters, but if called into battle they will all will fight with all the fury a true fanatic can muster.

There is no known physical distinguishing characteristic to really mark the cultists, which can work in a hunter's favor once a cult has been located but finding one is the hard part. The only real clue is found in records, look for women who are oddly okay with having a large number of abortions, miscarriages, and stillbirths. The main responsibility of a human in an Atlantian cult is to allow Atlantians to use them for breeding- so if she's had what on paper seems to be a large number of abortions, miscarriages, and stillbirths it may actually mean she's had multiple human-atlantian hybrids and allowed them to be taken by the atlantians for conversion and raising.

Personality: To 'Tig-Or-A-Arun', this being a demon rarely enters the equation. He considers himself an Atlantian first, a member of a dying people second, and a Demon a distant third. Most of his people are of a similar mindset, even to the point where some openly wonder if they are demons at all. To 'The Tiger Shark', this question is a waste of time. Say what you will about demons, they aren't poisoning the waters the Atlantians call home. The demons aren't the reason 99.8% of Atlantians are either dying of a toxic exposure condition or completely sterile.

To Tig-Or-A-Arun, his battles are about the survival of his people and the oceans. Survival is his motivation, not anything so mindless as evil for it's own sake. Yes, he'll kill dozens of humans gladly if they're dumping chemicals into the waters. Yes, he's raped human women before- but his people are going extinct, and his people have the right to survive.

The hunters will probably find that, for a demon, he still comes off as surprisingly honorable. He may be a environmentalist extremist and species preservation fanatic on his best days and an outright genocidal maniac on his worst- but his actions do need to have some sort of justification along the lines of preserving the oceans, his species, or his culture. He'll try to avoid attacking even in the presence of children for example. He'll discard weapons if he's fighting an opponent that seems honorable but unarmed. He'll rape women, but only those that appear to be at the right age and strength to bear children in hopes of breeding them- he'll avoid damaging more then he has to.

In short, he'll do great evil but because he thinks he has to for his people to survive and not for the evulz. Whether this makes him a weaker, softer demon opponent for the hunters or an even stronger one has yet to be seen.

Catchphrase:
"I am the fist of all of my people murdered by yours, I stand for my people's right to survive. Live or Die, my soul can not be broken."
"WHAT. DO. YOU. FIGHT FOR?"
"Your sacrifice will be sung of forever, below the waves."
"War is my Destiny."

QuoteBan: While there doesn't seem to be any weapons he's extra vulnerable to per se, he does have notable weaknesses that a hunter can certainly exploit. Tig-Or-A-Arun breathes water much easier then he breathes air, and his body is used to water in his gills and his fins then air and dirt.

The best defense against him is too keep him away from water as much as possible and dry him out as soon as you can. While he is a determined and ruthless warrior he is also from an aquatic environment. The dryer he is, the weaker he gets.

This isn't really keeping in theme with other people's Bans, though - remember that the Ban applies to lesser demon servants as well as the Demon Lord himself (and whatever the Atlantians may believe themselves, they're demons like everybody else for all that we've yet to actually define what 'demons' are...based on current players, I'm leaning towards entities from various parallel dimensions/realities). As previously noted, a Ban isn't necessarily something that causes extra damage - it can be something that's extra protective against the demon attacks, or as proposed by Zaer, a specific compulsive behavior that can be exploited. 'Limited fighting endurance' isn't really Ban material.

That aside, the character could be interesting - derided and mocked by his 'fellow' demons for being weak and soft, for certain.

I meant for it to go well above and beyond that. The "Dryer he gets, the weaker he gets" goes as far as 'can't walk on his own power - can't move his limbs - has a hard time breathing without help" et cetera. Does that help?

Also, yes- I do mean that they are demons. They're not fish-supernaturals that happen to be told they're demons, more like they're heretics.

The intensity isn't the issue, it's the fact that it can't be actively exploited rather than just playing an endurance game with him until he's forced to retreat and rehydrate. Demons are, by default, phenomenally strong and tough and resilient - clever exploitation of Bans would be the primary method of defeating them, and when they run out of a Ban or bring the wrong one, that's when the demons get some captives to play with.

Though I guess the team could bring giant, industrial-strength hair dryers and forcibly dry him off that way...

TheVillain

See, now you're thinking. You can cleverly exploit a 'has to stay wet' Ban. Even without breaking into the hydrophobic chemistry.

Still, you do have a good point. I think it's a workable Ban that can be cleverly exploited but there is the feel of the game to consider.

What about Water Pollution for a ban?

Water pollution's more of a phenomenon than a physical material...unless you mean polluted water, like loaded into squirt gun/pressure hose-type weapons. That'd work.

TheVillain

Yeah, that's what I meant. Heavily Polluted Water, the more unnatural and destructive the pollutants involved the better it works.

Which would be responded to with a trident shoved through their skulls of course. :P

Appreciate the vote of confidence Glyph.

Your 'fellow' demons so far are an amorphous shadow-monster, a giant lizardman sorcerer, and a succubus. The first lacks a skull, the second has magic, and the third will happily have something shoved into something, but skulls and tridents are not likely to be involved. ;D

TheVillain

1.) Point Taken
2.) Tig-Or knows magic too, like his spell 'Bite Your Damn Head Off'. :P
3.) Might have a place for her when he's done. Chained to the foot of his throne of course.

She might enjoy that to your dismay there Villain lol.  For a time anyway, but then she might be tempted to break herself free and then turn the tables around on him.  There's more to winning a fight than brute strength alone.  Something you MIGHT want to remember.   ;D >:)

Sure looks like it.

I'll have you know that martial arts/hand-to-hand combat/melee combat are about more just strength. There's questions of skill, of the willingness to take punishment and to give it, the connection between mind and body and pushing it to it's limits. It's not Strength that drives 'The Tiger Shark', it's Will- his body is just the chosen instrument of said Will.

Fair cop on the other two though. :P

Lol I see.  Will or not, with the right incentive anyone can be made to yield to temptation, and that is Lilith's specialty Villain.  Breaking a person down is quite easy for her lol.  Anyway, I do hope you get approved cause you do have a promising idea I might add, and Glyph?  I do apologize for my earlier comments regarding Zaer, but I've had problems with him before and I even had to boot him from one of my own games.  I NEVER boot people either save for when I have a very good reason to, and I had a good reason to when he tried to take over the game I had going to a degree and my earlier statements about his grammar, and I understand the language and dyslexia thing but I can also see his post count, as can you.  So, is there an excuse for not changing his style at all?  No, not to me there isn't.  So I must apologize if I sound too harsh but that is just how I feel on the matter, that's all.  I will try to make it work if he does get accepted because I like this game too much to give up on it now just because of one person, but I do ask that you don't make me play nice with him is all lol.

No one's asked you to play nice, but playing at all is good. If it's that much of an issue, you can just not start/follow any plotlines involving him...you're supposed to loathe each other IC and only really cooperate for mutual benefit, remember? This'll just make it easier to RP.

Reason why my style has not changed because I have not received all these years no training in english writing (I simply had tried learn by through observation). In finland is only taught understand fundamental stuff in english but not at all finesse it expect in higher education universities which have more superior language studies (which I haven't done yet). There are courses to study those stuff in evening university school time but they are not free (actually they cost quite a lot when count in also books what you need to buy to finish the course and I plainly lack money to do so). Also my dyslexia affects my learning anything related to writing a very hard process when it specifically focuses on grammar even on my own language.

Also what you mean by hijacking your game? When I joined FF game bit late I tried catch up with the group and introduced some plot element which no one picked up/joined in ( as it was attempt to get involved with someone in writing). If it looked like invasion to game then sorry for that :/. Anyways it was not my intention.

Zaer Darkwail

Iridium, can you answer regardiing is my char okay or not and can I enter the game and start write? Or am I declined? Glyph kinda tossed the decision issue to you.

TheVillain

Same here, really. I also add 'How are you doing, by the way?' :P
