That's pretty difficult... when I look for pictures of characters, I usually hunt on http://www.deviantart.com/ , or I use real pictures of people and just cut off their faces. :P

I dabble in 3-d art myself.. with mixed results. That is an avenue, but it takes some time to learn and can be expensive. However you can start off with a free 3-d rendering program from daz3d.com called DAZ studio. And there are also some resources for free objects/textures/backgrounds.

The one I'm using now. And it wasn't really what I was looking for. Was looking for something more humanoid... like a male human wizard, but couldn't find anything befitting.
