Parentheses list (Suggested Board Location, Pairing) in that order.

Spy & Spymaster (Bon preferred, M/M)
Possible settings: fantasy-esque; pseudo-historical/alt history, futuristic

The task his father had set him was simple: find himself some men, and create himself a small spy cell to call his own. As the son of the Royal Spymaster, and potentially the next Spymaster himself, it was a basic task. One of the building blocks of the entire position, and if he couldn’t manage it, then he didn’t deserve it. And theoretically, it was an easy task. Find some men, buy their loyalty, and profit as the information came in.

He was a terrible judge of character, as it turned out, and buying loyalty was not as easy as it seemed. His father, of course, made things seem utterly effortless, putting him to shame without even trying, and he… he hadn’t even managed to land himself one reliable spy. He supposed it was a good thing that he wasn’t above cheating at cards, or else he would have bankrupted himself in his effort.

He didn’t like the idea of threatening his way into landing himself a spy, but perhaps that was the best way to get his first one. And maybe, just maybe, from there it would be easier…

Notes: Both roles open to play. Seeking something of a dandy for the "Spymaster" character, possibly a thief or similar low-level criminal for the spy character.

Training Ground (Light preferred, M/M)
Possible settings: modern; futuristic; pseudo-historical/alt history

There was a certain amount of fame that went along with being a champion fighter in an underground ring. 53 fights undefeated tended to open doors, and it was also turning into a fairly lucrative career, with money pouring in. But all the same, it was lonely on top. He didn’t really have friends – he had hangers on, groupies, managers, and fans. Leeches in one way or another, all of them. The only person that had come close had been his private trainer, and that position… had been vacant for the last couple months, after he’d found his trainer skimming off his winnings.

He’d done fine since, but the last couple fights had been close. Too close for his managers, who had gone out and hired him another trainer using his funds. He’d protested – of course he had. It should have been a personal choice, not only because it was his money, but because his trainer would have more access to him than just about any other person in his life.

He’d retreated to his gym for the next few days while his new trainer wrapped up affairs, leaving only long enough to eat and sleep, spending his time hitting a bag and brooding on the turn things had taken for him recently. There was a soft knock on the door behind him, and he sighed as he turned to face his new trainer.

“… you’re not exactly who I was expecting.”

Notes: Seeking someone to play the new trainer – possibly someone with ties to the fighter’s past.

Yo ho, yo ho… (Any, Any)
Possible settings: pseudo-historical/alt history; fantasy; tentatively sci-fi

Sun, surf, sails… really the only thing missing from his life was the freedom to spend his gold however he pleased. It wasn’t that his gold was bad. It was more that he hadn’t earned any of it in a manner that was considered to be fair and honest by the “civilized” world. There were few ports he was actively welcomed in, but that was the price to pay for the freedom offered by the open seas.

It wasn’t an easy life. He had to contend with the weather, other ships looking for a quick bounty, and, ever concerning, the legitimate navies of several countries always on the lookout for the black flag that meant one thing – pirates. All the same, it was rewarding. He wasn’t tied down by anything other than loyalty to his crew, love of his ship, and his drive for gold and finer things in life, and although he was at heart a simple man… he found it much easier to be a simple man when he had the coin to spend on the simple pleasures he sought. He’d worked hard to get to this point in his life, and he intended to make the most of it.

Naturally, a life at sea was one of constant changes, and one of those changes threatened to destroy his way of life…

  • Variation A: The pirate runs afoul of a pirate hunter and a game of cat and mouse ensues. Seeking: Pirate hunter
  • Variation B: The pirate takes on a new crew member/stowaway and takes an unexpected liking to his new shipmate. Seeking: either.
  • Variation C: The pirate has a rival captain/crew that seeks every opportunity to get in the way of the pirate’s endeavors. Seeking: rival pirate.

To Save a Kingdom (Light/Bon, M/M or M/F)
Possible settings: fantasy

Bereten: a small mountain nation sandwiched between the vast Selunium Empire to the west and the sparsely populated nation of Edgemont to the east. It was a prosperous country, rich in grazing lands and sheep, and small, colorful gemstones highly sought after by both neighbors. Ever pragmatic, Bereten’s Queen had established solid trade agreements with both neighbors, and her people had quietly thrived in peace.

That is, until the Emperor’s youngest son came to the throne and started demanding more from Bereten than Selunium was offering in return. The Queen was quick to realize that the balance of power was in danger of shifting, and her nation could become just another territory on the Empire’s map. Edgemont’s Luminary had reached a similar conclusion, and in short order a mixed delegation was assembled to ride to the Imperial City to negotiate new trade agreements to continue the peace.

If negotiations failed, it would be war for the autonomy of both nations of the east.

The Luminary of Edgemont himself would ride under the standard of diplomacy, accompanied by a small armed force against the mountain dangers. The Queen of Bereten, unaccustomed to long travel and fearing delay, sent her heir in her place, along with several trusted advisors and an additional force of royal guards.

The heir was less than happy about the arrangements. More comfortable astride a horse at full gallop than seated in trade negotiations, the heir argued against their suitability but was ultimately overruled. As a compromise, the Queen agreed that the heir would be accompanied by their oldest and dearest friend, the Captain of the Guard. Well-versed in protocol and courtly manners, the Captain’s job was two-fold: deliver the heir safely to the Imperial City, and attempt to teach them how to behave like the royal they are.

The heir looked the part, but the Captain knew their work was cut out for them…

Notes: Both roles are available for play.

Hunter… or Hunted? (Any, M/M)
Possible settings: fantasy

Tracks always told a story. That was what he’d been taught, but these tracks didn’t make a lot of sense to him. There were footprints, of course – vaguely human-shaped, but broken up into a front portion and a back portion. There were also large depressions in the snow, as if something large had been set down, and smaller, circular areas where the snow had been brushed away. Tracks led here and away, and there were traces of blood in the grass cleared. Something had been killed… but there wasn’t much indication about how.

One of the things he understood was that this was an outsider, because the other hunters had been elsewhere in their land for some time. Another thing he knew was that this outsider was poaching. Whatever had been taken here hadn’t been large, but that wasn’t the point. The point was, whoever – whatever – this was wasn’t expected, wasn’t welcome, and was additionally stealing from his people. He needed to find out more…

In a short period of time, he’d scoured the site, finally finding the direction that the stranger had taken further into the woods. He followed the trail carefully, noting several other spots where the same circular areas appeared, and finally came onto an oddity. One of the circular areas, but this one had a metal contraption in it, with… bait. The hunter paused, looking around for his quarry. It had to be close. For now, all he wanted to do was observe and gather information. What would happen in the future… well, that was the future.

Notes: Seeking someone to play the trespasser.

It's the End of the World As We Know It (Any*, M/M or M/F)
* See 'Variations' for details
Possible settings: Sci-fi/futuristic (preferred), fantasy, modern-esq

War had taken them by surprise. The enemy had launched a full-scale attack on the capital city out of the blue, leaving the area in ruins. Most of the survivors had fled for the interior, deciding it was better, safer, to get out of range of the enemy’s forward advance, and the city was left to the invaders.

A small number of survivors were unwilling to leave their homes and let the enemy walk all over their lands. They banded together into small guerrilla groups, determined to stay and make the invasion as difficult as possible for the enemy. Life wasn’t easy – supplies were forever short and an ever-watchful enemy pressing them further and further back – but they were a determined bunch, prepared to give their lives for their homes.

A young guerrilla has been separated from his band while out scouting a safe route to a different part of the capital, and watches from a distance as his band is systematically wiped out before making his escape… right into the path of another unknown patrol.

  • Variation A (Light to Bondage) (preferred): The patrol the young scout encounters is part of the forward advance of his country’s counter-attack. Initially thought to be an enemy spy, the scout is taken in for questioning and held until the army is satisfied that he’s on their side. Given the opportunity to retreat inland or stay and fight, the scout stays on and strikes up a friendship with another soldier.
  • Variation B (possible N/C): The scout is captured by an enemy patrol. Taken in for questioning, the scout is mistreated by his captors. One soldier, angry at the scout’s treatment and possibly questioning his involvement that wasn’t what he thought it would be, begins trying to coax the scout to trust him, and eventually helps him escape.

Notes: Both roles available for play.

Exiled (Light, M/M)
Possible settings: fantasy; pseudo-historical/alt-history

The realm had known peace and prosperity under the old king, and he would be missed for the sense of safety he brought his people. Even so, the new king was what the nation needed – personable, amiable, and forward thinking, he would bring the country to a more modern future. It had started as soon as the official mourning period had ended, when the new king sat down to review the laws of his realm and determine which had outlived their usefulness. When he was done, several laws had been struck from the books, but one that had remained was one that made homosexuality illegal. The new king reduced punishment for transgressions from death to exile, but the realm remained hostile to men who loved other men, or women who loved other women.

The law and the threat of punishment if he was discovered didn’t stop the king’s youngest brother from following his heart. He was willing to hide his relationship with his personal guard from the world, going on frequent rides away from the palace in order to find the privacy to be with his lover, trying to keep them both safe from discovery and his lover from being sent away to what would inevitably result in his death.

Despite their best efforts, they were ultimately discovered. The prince was imprisoned in the dungeons, while his lover was sent far to the south to lead an expedition past the realm’s borders, never expected to return. Unwilling to send his brother to the same fate, the king ultimately decides to send the young man into the mountains and the care of an exiled nobleman, far from the capital and the court. The exiled noble was tasked with keeping the prince alive until he could get his feet under him.

Notes: Both roles available for play. The prince should be between 17 and 23, the nobleman in his mid- to late thirties

The Chase (Any, Any)
Possible settings: urban fantasy (preferred), fantasy, futuristic, sci-fi

He’d been running for what felt like ages, chased from place to place by… he wasn’t sure who. All he knew was that every time he thought he was safe, another warning would turn up, and he’d have to pack up and leave town in a hurry. He wouldn’t risk anyone else getting hurt because he’d gotten in over his head. He just couldn’t stomach the thought of it.

He knew he could turn around and end this pursuit if he wanted to. The problem was, he knew how it would end – more blood, more bodies. More collateral damage. He didn’t want to deal with any of it, because he knew that as soon as the short respite he’d gain was over, there would be another chase, another shadowy group, and the cycle would repeat itself. Best to keep moving now, try to gain time and space to plan ahead and see if he could find a way to bring things to an end without all the blood.

He’d managed to disappear pretty well this time. It had been quiet for months, and he’d used the time to try to research this group, and plan ahead. Figure out what he could do to walk away from everything alive and free. He’d even started to let himself relax a bit – just enough so he wasn’t constantly looking over his shoulder – and try to enjoy life for a while.

Bad idea, because he’d rounded a corner one evening and come face to blade with another pursuer. Not with the shadowy group that had been after him, so far as he could tell, but this was exactly what he needed. More knots, more tangles, more stress. More blood, if he was backed any further into the corner than he already was.

"I'm trying my best to be polite, but if you move that knife a centimeter closer to me, I will tear you apart."

Notes: Seeking someone to play the new pursuer, either as a solo “agent” or as part of a group outside the original pursuit “team”.

Wanted: a way off this planet (Any, M/M or M/F)
Possible settings: sci-fi

“Skilled pilot seeks crew in need. Graduate of Tarkesh Flight Academy. Fully qualified to fly most spacecraft. Pay optional for short-term contracts - will fly for food, a bunk, and transit off-world. Destination of no consequence. Rate of pay negotiable for longer-term contracts. Additional skills include navigation with and without sophisticated equipment, basic mechanical skills, and cooking. Please contact Skimmer at 5555-555-5555.”

Skimmer sighed as he read his ad over one last time, resisting the urge to add more information. This was really all any potential employer needed to go, and in this case, it felt like a shorter ad was better. He needed to get off-world before his savings ran out and he was reduced to tricking again to feed himself, because he knew how that would end. He’d be stuck here until another miracle came along, or until a disaster swept him along with it. The way his luck had been running the last few months, he wasn’t sure he’d live through that.

He decided it probably wasn’t a bad idea to start praying as he submitted his ad. He could use all the help he could get right now…

Notes: Looking for someone to play the new boss. Willing to discuss plots involving blackmail/coercion, not interested in straight-out non-con.

Blurbs
Thoughts with less detail.
Cravings listed in purple.
Parentheses list (Suggested Board Location, Pairing) in that order.

But Daddy... (Light/Bon, M/M) - pretty please?

A divorced father and his son are keeping secrets from one another, namely, they're both interested in other men. What happens if they accidentally meet on the dance floor one evening? How long before they finally give in and... explore?

Notes: Prefer a partner to play the father, but willing to negotiate.

A Supernatural Flair (Light/Bon, M/M) - semi-fandom game, Supernatural

I’m looking to play sort of in the ‘Supernatural’ universe, but as it was in the first few seasons where the focus was to hunt the things that went bump in the night. I want to explore American folklore and mythology, and possibly dip into legends that were brought over from the Old World as well (pulling some inspiration from American Gods by Neil Gaiman). I’m open to modern or historical settings, and willing to discuss any sort of creatures you may bring to the table. A sampling of ideas: trickster gods, crossroad demons, rougarous/werewolves, djinn (not the sexy kind), etc. Ghosts also welcome. Bring your local stories!

Notes: Willing to discuss a one-shot/quick story for certain creatures.

Pen Pals (Any, M/M)

A story told mostly in letters, email, or web forum. This will be a game heavily focused on character development and relationship building, where the two characters are not likely to meet until well into the game. Seeking a partner as interested in exploring the possibilities as I am.

Bounty Hunters (Any, Any)

A mercenary/bounty hunter takes a job to kill or capture a target. Things don't go as planned.

  • Variation A: They wind up romantically involved with their target and piss off the boss.
  • Variation B: The boss decided to get the job done for sure and calls in a second hired gun, mucking the whole thing up.
  • Variation C: A private security company made up of ex-military and law enforcement is hired to make sure a corporation’s assets are protected. Only problem is, they don’t know what the assets are, exactly…

Finding Himself (Light Preferred, FtM/Any)

I would like to try my hand at playing an FtM trans character. It's an idea I've been toying with for a while, and I'm seeking a partner who is patient and willing to work with me if I happen to be a total doofus. Ideas welcome, modern setting preferred.

Characters

Viktor Shaposhnikov

Name: Viktor Mikhailovich Shaposhnikov
Ethnicity: Russian
Nationality: Russian (joint U.S. / Russian citizenship)
Religion: Atheist
Spoken languages: English, Russian
Profession: Cinema
Current position: Student or Film Editor (depends on age)
Height: 5’4”
Hair color: Dark brown
Eye color: Hazel

Piercings: Barbell in his left eyebrow, two studs in his right earlobe, and a helix piercing
Tattoos: “It's a dangerous business... going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to” on his back, above a compass;
Scars: a few burn scars on his left shoulder;
Preferred clothes: graphic tees with jeans, combat boots;
Special skills: knows computers backwards and forwards;
Addictions: none

Dante Roberts
Full Name: Dante Nero Roberts
Aliases: Dee
Height: 6’2
Sex: Male
Orientation: bisexual with stronger leanings towards men; switch
Physical Description: Dante is fairly muscular, and he does his best to try to keep in shape. He has deep brown, nearly black hair, which he keeps cut short. He's clean-shaven, although his stubble tends to show a bit due to the dark coloring. He has light brown eyes with flecks of gold throughout, causing his eyes to appear amber in certain light. As a police detective, he's required to dress in business casual style - nice slacks, button-down shirt and tie, occasionally a blazer, but he's always felt more comfortable in jeans, casual shirts, and work boots. Scars of note include a healed bullet wound in his left side, a very faint appendectomy scar on his right, and a long, jagged scar running up his left shin. He also has a large tattoo spanning his lower back of blue hibiscus flowers with appropriately styled leaves, generally not shown due to its placement.
Personality: Dante is an introvert. He is not very emotionally expressive, which can cause him to come across as aloof at times, making it somewhat difficult for him to initially get to know someone. He is also blunt, and tends to be independent and a bit headstrong. Once the initial reserve disappears, however, he is a loyal and supportive friend. He's observant and misses very little, but tends to take his time when approaching both problems and conversations in order to work through several possible angles before acting or speaking. He keeps in frequent touch with his family, particularly twin brother Ace and younger siblings Julian and Aura. He can be both judgmental and extremely understanding, depending on the nature of his relationship with a particular person.
Quirks: Although reserved, Dante is very much a team player, since having a sounding board(s) makes it a lot easier for him to work through a problem. He and his twin came up with a "language" (basically gibberish, understanding based on voice inflection and facial cues) when they were children, which they will still lapse into at times. He adores fluffy animals, particularly cats.
Background: Dante is the second of seven children, and the younger of a set of twins. His father owned and operated a mechanic's shop, and his mother worked as a part-time custodian as well as working hard to raise her large family. The older boys helped her as much as they could. Both boys played football in high school, Ace as a center and Dante as an offensive tackle. Although both were scouted and offered scholarships from a few school, neither pursued the opportunities. After graduating high school, Dante entered the police academy. He worked as an officer on the Cleveland Police Department, although decided to relocate to New York City after two years on the local force. He made detective fairly quickly, due to his ability to piece together evidence to create strong cases, and due to his interest and understanding of forensic sciences.
Hobbies: Dante enjoys playing video games, either in a co-op situation with his sister Aura or as part of a larger team for multiplayer games. He will sometimes settle in with his cat and a murder mystery, and enjoys NCIS and CSI.
Likes: video games; light bondage, either (less likely to admit he likes it on the receiving end); patient people; romance; fuzzy animals; family
Dislikes: Nosy people; People trash-talking him or his family; Sex without emotional attachment; Cheating
Settings: Modern; willing to discuss science-fiction

Julian Roberts

Name: Julian Gaius Roberts
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Nationality: U.S. citizen, mixed German and Italian ancestry

Spoken languages: English
Profession: Engineering
Current position: Structural Engineer
Height: 5’8”
Hair color: Dark brown
Eye color: Dark brown

Piercings: None
Tattoos: hibiscus flower on the back of his left wrist;
Scars: small one along his hairline from a run-in with a car hood;
Preferred clothes: At work: khakis and button-downs or sweaters. Off duty: shorts or jeans with graphic tees;
Special skills: basic car mechanics;
Addictions: none

Patrick Cavanaugh

Name: Patrick Shane Cavanaugh
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Nationality: U.S. citizen (born in Boston) with Irish ancestry
Religion: Born Catholic, but doesn't really practice
Spoken languages: English, conversational Italian (keeps it a secret until he has to use it)

Height: 6’1”
Hair color: Copper
Eye color: Blue

Piercings: None
Tattoos: with a trinity knot instead of a fleur de lis, [url=http://i.imgur.com/4oQrPUD.jpg]on left hip area;
Scars: pucker scar through left shoulder (gunshot), 4 inch long scar on his lower back (knife), two separate bite scars on right arm;
Preferred clothes: On duty: dark trousers and button-down shirts over plain t-shirts, typically unbuttoned and not tucked in. Off duty: jeans, tight shirts, jacket if the weather is suitable;

Story Ideas and Blurbs

Seeking

He had been a powerful mage, once. A bit of a wild card, unpredictable, but respected. Feared by some, of course, but that was the price one paid with power. He had enemies - what powerful figure didn't? - but unless his enemies came to bother him, or he had reason to believe that they were actively plotting against him, he left them alone, and they chose not to bother him. It was peaceful in his little corner of the world, and he'd been relaxed. His guard had been down.

And then there had been an attack. His home, his village had been decimated, and he nearly along with it. He'd survived, pursued, intending to battle for vengeance.

It was a trap.

He'd woken up afterwards, with no memory of what had happened between leaving his burning town and the moment of awakening. He'd woken with no magic, and that had perhaps been the most frightening thing of all. They had been drained away, leaving him with nothing more than the most basic of skills - parlor tricks and making pretty lights. What use was that to someone who had once been so powerful others quaked in fear?

He'd returned to his town, to his house, trying to find answers. He'd found a riddle instead, a riddle that had sent him off to find one fo the few people who could restore his powers... but would they be willing to?

I'm looking to play the mage of the above idea (right now it's a male, female a possibility - PM to negotiate!), with a partner character more versed in martial arts than magical arts. Human characters preferred, although close "relatives" accepted. This is a fairly open-ended idea, with the only eventual requirement that my character gets their powers back.
Super... Friends?
(Any, M/M preferred)
Characters A and B have been good friends for years. They met years ago, on their first day of high school, and hit it off immediately. They were practically inseperable from then on, going to the same college, graduating the same year, moving to the same city. Ultimately they decided that fate was trying to tell them something, and decided to move in together. As a temporary matter, of course, just to save on whatever expenses they could. It was damn near impossible to live on their own.

Character A was the first to come home with cuts and bruises, claiming they'd simply had a bad day at the gym and tripped over their shoelaces, or walked into a door. Stupid stuff, really, should have been paying more attention. Character B didn't push, just made sure that A's cuts were treated properly, and moved on. When the same thing started happening to B, A slapped on some bandages, got B a beer, and went back to his room. After all, it wasn't like they needed to make an issue out of something like this. It was just normal lack of sleep, stress, the dangers of multitasking. It wasn't like either was hiding a secret identity or anything silly like that...

Inspired by a tumblr post. I'm looking for a game where two supers on opposite sides of a conflict have been living together without knowing it. Characters who are strictly hero or villain are not required - supers of any alignment welcome.
