A RP based on the goings on of a The World and the players that inhabit it. Of course, this virtual world will have some looser rules to allow characters to have sex and what not, but ya know.the basic things of adventuring and stuff, perhaps an evil in the shadows that makes people fall unconscious, etc, etc.

I'm thinking this version of "The World" would be based on "The World R:2" or the version seen in .hack//GU.

a dotHack RP... could be very fun. However, I personally always felt that the entire series paid too little attention to the persons behind the computer screen. So giving more freedom to those who want to explore the world outside The World could make for some very interesting scenarios.

To be completely honest, I only watched the original series, so I'm not sure what, if any, are the differences in GU, if that matters >.>

Definitely seems like a good idea, the only things that would be hindering me are the fact that it's been a while since I was really into .hack, and much like Reagord I haven't really paid attention to the //GU era, I'm more of a //sign guy to me. But if the rules of this version of The World are a little looser and more forgiving, I definitely think I could get into it.

The differences are mainly in world fluff, and classes. It's all easily found on the wiki.

Color me interested with my totally shy and introverted girl who is an outgoing (But mostly useless) Adept Rogue in The World. :)

Oho, you like versatility over power/skill/speed too then? I can deal with only learning a handful of skills, and having low-level proficiency with weapons, in exchange for multiple weapon types! Tribal Grappler/Edge Punisher/Steam Gunner for the win :D

Also Latooni..if we're going to follow the full rules of the World, that wouldn't be possible...Adept Rogues get 4 points when creating their characters.

Tribal Grappler is 2 Points
Edge Punisher is 1 point
and Steam Gunner costs 3 points.

Which is 6 points, 2 points over the limit. o-o

The Reason for this, I think, is to keep things balanced. You see, Adept Rogues need to have a zone where they can't hit in order to keep things balanced. Steam Gunners are Good for Long Range, Things like FLick Reapers/Lord Partizans are good for Mid Range, and Edge Punisher/Twin Blade or whatever are Short Range.

It balances out by leaving you open at a certain range, you see. o-o
