Setting

The setting is ancient Rome.    A time period of between 100 BC to 75 BC.    Right before the third Sevile war.   Decadence runs wild,  life is cheap commodity.   The gladiatorial games sake the blood lust of the masses.   Slaves from all over pour into  Rome proper. 

Women are looked upon as chattel.   Through they may own property through inheritance.   Within the mortal realm of the story.   Through in the ranks of undead.   Males have learn that females are their equals.    They are just as efficient  in killing.  This is represented further in the positions that will be available.     Females were not trained as gladiators.   

The plot foci point is a Roman gladiator ludus (gladiator training house).    Where the characters will revolve around.   The scenario is a blending of Spartacus sand and blood with Underworld. 

This will be a brutal setting,  a world of depravity.    Death can and will occur with dealing with such as gladiators.   With such creatures as vampires and uratha.

Vampire the requiem of Rome.    This is the core book of the setting.   The vampire sects and clans in this book is what will be used for the vampires.  The noted exception to sects is the Lancea  ET Sanctum  (The cross and spear)   Christianity has not risen up yet.   We are a good sixty to seventy years away. 

Werewolf the Forsaken - Ghost wolfs only.    The setting is vampire as the central point of the game.  There is no completing fraction of Uratha.

Additional notes:

Ghouls must have select a dom from within the Ludus vampires.   I leave that between players to work out.

Mortals,  and being wolf blooded  up to 3 may take the merit of wolf blooded.

I don't have the Rome book sadly.  But I would consider a Dori as a guest a fabulously beautiful vampiress of both education and some assets, likely Unaligned but not against the system more she is willing to let the leaders lead and let the work and risk fall on them so she can enjoy her unlife. Oh a Dori is a term in Rome for a whore that was very beautiful and shunned clothing not a vampire term.

Just to avoid the need for all the inner secrets of the Roman heirarchy and would likely be an outsider maybe a recruit from the conquests that decided not to challenge the Roman vampires unlike her peers.

Yes,  but it might be better to just use the character sheet for Vampire Requiem for Rome character sheet on Daline.    As it skill sets match the era.    Either or be fine.

Also note that slaves, even if gladiators have absolutely no equipment.   It belongs to their owner of the ludus.

Side Note on the Julii

The nobles among the Kindred of Rome, and founders of the Camarilla, the Julii claim descent from Remus.

They may be the ancestors of the Ventrue, or they may simply be a now vanished clan who filled the same niche in Kindred society. The Gangrel clanbook implies that the Ventrue and Gangrel are descended from a common ancestor, possibly the Julii (although the Gangrel would have to have split from their forebears sooner as they were present in Rome during the days of the Camarilla.

Like the Ventrue, the Julii are masters of Dominate, the Kindred Discipline of mental subjugation.

Ok I'm doing a concept a Blitidae a really low class whore they are named after really cheap beer sold in the places they ply their avocations. Wing (I assume that is their faction in Rome) Unaligned. Striking Looks Level 2 - NOSFERATU.

That is so freaking wrong but everyone plays ugliness when its not necessary the other aspects can be fun to play with. I figure her Sire was some bastard that took her just to fuck with her after raping her and well she adapted pretty well.  Be fun to decide why she is so offputting though and it won't be physical unless I put her fangs literally in her pussy for fun. hee hee hee

Discciplines: Obfuscate 2 and Protean 1 (she wants the Haven of Soil power badly - and hell 12xp later will be able to live anywhere safely)

Come on at least its different and I could see the leader guy bringing her in just to add amusement to the refined Kindred present and well she is still amazing to look at.

Well everyone plays Nos ugly and creepy running around in sewers, I never saw any without one specific bloodline try and be socially skilled. Might be fun I figured being a warped version of a lusty Daeva.

As for what puts people off I figured it out its not a derangement but she talks to voices in her head, usually at the wrong times. So will often have a nice talk with a few people that aren't there while offering her body to men. I figure she likely gets men (and women) to fuck her due to her looks and they are willing to overlook her little issues because she is cheap to hire. But I figure your average mortal and vampire would be a bit freaked out by that and everyone knows the Nos that don't look bad usually have worse issues among Kindred.

There are advantages as a common woman she actually has more rights and freedom than high born ones and at least she is not a slave so has some rights. For example she could have a woman lover and it would be fine in her subculture where a woman of rank would need a slave to do that and be discrete which was not uncommon. And since her vice is lust well she has lots of avenues to get that sated and feed.

Been thinking a bit about this, and I would rather start as a Ghoul, and maybe the character will evolve into something more powerful later in campaign.

So, I'll play a 'favoured Slave' (Ghoul).

I'll decide upon more details when I have knowledge about my owner, but here's the sheet -> Cappius, the Favoured Slave 

Basic idea is... stolen as young from some northern tribe and sold on the market in rome. Been serving a few diffrent families before ending up in the hands of a vampire. Might be useful as a spy .

I think I got a great what the hell is off about my Nos she has delusional issues as in talks to no one and well no ones talk back to her, but not a derangement it won't get worse or count as one just she is a bit loose in the noggin' and figure could get more interesting later on. On the plus side she is very beautiful so most people that pay her for sex as in cheapskate commners don't mind. Should work to even unsettle other vampires save Nos who well might be a bit jealous or thank the gods they are just ugly and not losing their minds.  ;)

Cappius, the Favoured Slave

Background(Still polishing details)

Cappius does not know much of his heritage besides that he was born into one of the tribes in southern Thrace, and that his father was betrayed and murdered by a rival. He also remembers that he was brought to a harbor and shipped to Delos, where he lived for weeks in a slave-pen. He remembers that a man called Umberto bought him off the market and brought him to Rome and into the house of Appelius. Cappius was treated well, and mainly served in the household, at the masters shop, and as he got older, his tasks got more advanced. A few years ago, Master Umberto Appelius died from a failing heart, and his brother claimed ownership of the household. Cappius was immediately removed from the shop, and sold on the market for a good sum, and later the same night, he was sold again to his current owner, Isabel. Cappius has proven himself to be both useful and entertaining as a ghoul during the past months, and he is very able to gather information when needed, and willing to learn new things when allowed. It is also known by Isabel that he strives to become a freeman one day, and that he is loyal to his regnant to a point where he can be trusted with secrets.

Personality

Cappius is a manipulator that plays a role to survive, for Isabel, he serves where ever he is needed most, and the loyalty is real. He knows that he has been blessed/cursed with his angelic appearance which is the main reason to why he has survived so far, and has been awarded a spot at her feet. He's not afraid of using other people/kindred to get what he wants, but he is very careful about who he uses.


Primary Skills

Cappius is a skilled acrobat, and he loves the art of acting. Drinking Isabel's blood has slightly altered Cappius, and he has become more sexual in a gluttonous way, maybe a result of Isabels Daevan blood. Seducing people is one of his new-found pleasantries, but only when there is no risk of punishment from Isabel. Cappius is educated enough to read and write, make household calculations and recite the basics of roman law. He is often found running errands during the days, and he is a master bait, when attracting people for Isabel to feed upon.

As well as the rise of Christianity and how it plays into such.   The new wing that will arise in the politics of the kindred world of the Camarilla of Rome.   While not forgetting the first major event in twenty five years.    That of the third sevile war.   An how that will play into setting and the ludus and where it takes it.   

Through for now,  I am in hopes of enticing  a few more people.  An first getting the game going and established.

I'm keeping my character sheet as is I figure she was turned into a Nos a month ago and likely the leader took pity on her, not a bad move if she gets all scary and evil powerful later on having her as a friend is a good thing over forcing her along.

As for appearance that is big deal but nice thing prostitutes has a pretty basic dress code a flowered tunic, dyed hair (blue, green or red required) and be registered that is why I bought status at one so she would be a tax paying prostittute and well still the lowest one on the rung pretty much.

Prudence demands survival comes first Obfuscate at 2 Dots prevents frenzy directed at her and Protean will add at Level 2 the best survival tool the ability to blend into natural and worked materials starting with the Earth. Nightmare and the like can be picked up fast enough its natural to the Nos and well not as important to her. Anyway she is just different.

And I wanted something to work on for defense ,later, Nightmare will be good. But she right now just doesn't want to scare people or Kindred but figured as her mind slips, her Beast pokes around she will feel the need to. Its a role-playing decision.

Pic: Modify though she has on a simple tunic with flowers much like a slave would wear and her hair is died green to comply with Roman Law and prostitutes, naturally she is not alive now but her rich olive skin hasn't lightened much.

Appearance: Other than that is ravishing and if it wasn't for her little Nos issue would likely be a Doria or very high class prostitute. She appears to be around her late-teens.

Personality: A young Nos she mainly is into survival and not making waves so avoided taking sides, not that she is a troublemaker after all she tends to let the leaders well lead and take the risks. She isn't a follower and tends to get out of the way. Overall is a slut and enjoys her work letting men and women use her for their lusts in return for a little meal. Oddly her habit of talking to people that aren't there and to herself is troubling but she tends to get by since well with her low price and looks the average horny male can get passed that. And with women most common low class whores tend to have needs.

History: Not from one of the well off families she was always beautiful and her parents who were Roman shopkeepers selling spices pretty much expected their angel to marry decently maybe even to a higher class. Sadly a Nos frenzied for blood hunger and killed the parents before raping and killing her only showing a little mercy by embracing Domina before getting the hell out of Rome with a few days of education. Mostly how to basically survive and well try to not kill by feeding. Well she managed that trick that is the only thing that spared her an elder found her in a cheap brothel making a living and well getting by of her clan and saw she was inducted into Camarilla society. But like him she is Unaligned mostly in her case not sure of all the whys and werefores of other vampires. The Nos oddly like her she is fun and prods the sensibilities of the rarified Daeva and although some are jealous of her looks her mind slipped and to many she has it worse in some ways.
