I have terrible news, child. Terrible for you, and terrible for us. Listen closely to what I have to say, for our lives all depend on it.

Long ago, there was not seven gods, as we have now, but one. All the clans worshiped Arlest, a unknowable and corrupt Goddess. She demanded sacrifices of blood and spirit, haunting the dreams of her priests. Even when we provided these sacrifices, she twisted animals and men into monsters to plague us. She tortured our bodies into a sexual frenzy, and tormented our minds with her mad whispers.

The Spirits chafed under her rule, and charged the clan with overthrowing her. Seven heroes, bonded with the spirits of their clans, fought their way through her temple, through the spirit world, and into Arlest's sanctum. There, they smote the Goddess down. Before her existence was unraveled, Arlest brought a terrible curse on all clans of Man and Beasts. Every 500 years, a few of each race will bear her Mark on their bodies. They will grow lustful and perverse, drawing all those around them into madness and need. They bring grave misfortune into the world, and the only known way to stop them is death.

You, sadly, bear Arlest's Mark.

There is, however, a slim chance of hope. Have you heard of Shattered Relic? It was once a place of high learning, sorcery and martial arts before one of the Cursed appeared in the city. The sorcerers there worked hard on a cure, and, in a tribute to their genius, succeeded. They tried to use it on the Cursed one, but were driven into madness before it could be administered. The mad people of Shattered Relic twisted their homes, bodies and pets into a perverts dream. The town was quarantined by the Clans, and has been for many years.

But the cure still exists. Those with the sight can see it in their mind's eye. But there is exactly one, and there will be others out to purify themselves.

Now, you must gather your things and leave here. You can not come back until you are cursed no longer. Go, child, and may the Gods watch over you.

I am checking for interest in The Cursed, a light-hearted, competitive, anime-inspired game. Players take the roles of people suffering under a ancient curse. It slowly drives people around them insane with lust, and changes the weak-willed into monsters. Given time, the curse eventually corrupts the carrier, unless something is done about it. The Cursed are also immortal, to a degree. They can only be killed after a short, archaic ritual. Other than that, they regenerate from any injury.

The city of Shattered Relic and the creatures within, would not be trying to kill the characters anyway. Sure, some monsters or traps might attack the character so they can do evil things to her, but they won't kill them. It try to wear you down, applying penalties and bad status effects, while the character gets better armor and magic and experience to counter these. If you can keep going long enough to get the cure, then you win. If the penalties get so bad that you can no longer search, you lose, and succumb to the Curse.

All the while, the Curse will be inflicting it's own penalties. The Cursed can make other members of the Cursed gain penalties as well, though sex or special techniques (like spells or Jujitsu in Naruto). So the characters have every reason to try and make their rivals go mad, so they stop competing for the cure.

Also, I will be giving everyone a fair chance. I will only send the characters against things they can conceivable defeat (without taking penalties into account, of course).

There will be slight elements of pregnancy, bestiality, hentai weirdness and overwhelming lust. I will be mindful of Ons and Offs however (if a person wants monsters instead of animals, for instance, that's no problem). I will also take requests for specific challenges.

The system will be dice chucker. (http://www.1km1kt.net/rpg/Dice_Chucker.php). Character Pool is 5, plus 1 sex-themed attribute, picked by the player. It is a skill granted by the Curse.

So... any interest?

Fantastic concept Creeper, shame it's system though....*smiles*

Hope it takes off...
It's been fun, but Elvi has now left the building

Creeper

Hope so too. Thanks Elvi!

I sort of like the system. It seems that all the characters that play these sorts of games always just lose. Giving them a chance is more entertaining...

Meh lost interest until I saw dice chucker, why not DnD 3.5? ; ;

Well, since I can't seem to attract interest in my Faerie Dragon RP I'd be interested, even if I did have to learn a new system.

Don't know the system, but I'd be willing to learn it and give this a shot. However, I think that it's rather counterintuitive to have only one cure... While, on one hand, it causes all the involved characters to fight for it, it rather goes against what the Cursed are trying to become, doesn't it? I mean, if they're trying to become human to escape their innate evil, wouldn't the selfishness of fighting the others for it be just as corrupting, damning them forever to a fate you avoided only by dooming them?

It's over-complicated for what I'm going for. I want something simple, low-crunch, free to the people who don't have the books, and that allows crazy anime physics.

Still, If someone can recommend a reasonable alternative, and there's much call for it, I'm willing to change/learn a new system. BESM might work, for instance.

We in the literary biz call that a 'Dilemma'. You don't have to fight others, but it can raise your chances of getting the cure. Will you trade your humanity for sanity?
And there's the chance that some of the Cursed just aren't very nice people.

Edit: I should also note that Dice-chucker is really easy to learn. The Core file is 25 pages long, of which you'll regularly need 5-7.

*tentatively raises a hand*

I'm really not big on systems... but the core idea looks fun enough that I'd be willing to try.

Coolies! That's three, including Mia. If we can get six votes of interest (I know you all won't make a character due to life and stuff, it's okay) I'll write up the game rules!.

I should also note that I'll have a write-up of the basic rules. It's horrifically simple. You just have to be able to add, subtract, and occasionally look up something on a chart.

Hell, I'll even look up the stuff on the chart for you! And we've got calculators for basic arithmetic!
