Pathfinder (Still Seeking GM)

Life has settled down a fair bit, so I'm trying to find a GM-ing type to run some Pathfinder for me. Solos are good, small groups are acceptable, but probably more in the mood for just me and a GM. I can do it Play By Post, or a mid-week game via roll20 or something. I'm not exactly looking for all-out lewdness as the focus or anything, but I don't usually shy away from it. Original content or Adventure Paths are fine by me, depending on the Path.

As for my character, I don't have her too fleshed out or anything yet, but I was struck by the desire to play a nice, good-aligned Tiefling. A cleric or paladin of one of the more shinygood deities (Sarenrae? Desna?) just trying to be a decent person, despite people's tendancy to give the stink-eye to obvious Tieflings. Could be fun!

Have you seen Phantom Pistoleer advertising for Pathfinder paths?  I've gamed with him before, and he's good people.  Perhaps you could ask him to run for you?  Or maybe we could ask if he'd be willing to do a game for two?

I would honestly love to run a game for both of you, but I'm afraid that I would do a disservice to my current partners if I were to tack on an additional game before seeing if I can even manage the ones I'm signed on to do.

Holy crap Katina! I don't think we've gamed together since that one game I had my Monk who totally unfairly defeated that pretty samurai girl with pheromones and tentacle-fu! I'd love to play a game with you!

I think that was the last time I GMed for D&D.  That game was crazy, but I'm never doing the binder of houserules again. ^^U

Strictly thinking Pathfinder, or would you be interested in giving 13th Age a spin?

Never done 13th Age before, and not too keen on giving it a try just yet. At least not now, maybe in the future at some point. Definately more wanting to do some Pathfinder-ing with my Cleric/Paladin (I can't decide! These stats I rolled make me torn! Str 15, Dex 16, Con 12, Int 13, Wis 15, Cha 19 after racial bonuses/penalties (Using Fiendish Heritage for the Demon-Spawn bonuses, rather than the -Cha one))

If it's a solo game, it's totally going to be gestalt, so do both!

Was there a particular adventure path you had your eye on?

Reign of Winter, Wrath of the Righteous, Jade Regent (Mainly because I lust after half the NPCs in Jade Regent . . .), Kingmaker, Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne are all interesting. I have gone through four books of Jade Regent in my IRL weekly game though, so in the back of my head I have a good idea of most of the stuff that's coming. Lol

With Gestalt I can easily make adjustments to my character at least!

Of those, I'd be most comfortable running Rise of the Runelords.

Of course, running solo in an adventure path designed for a party of four is rough, even if you're getting all the loot for yourself and you're gestalt.  I'm not fond of running GMPCs, though NPCs might roll with you from time to time.  If you want to run a second PC, too, feel free, or you can just start off with an animal companion or eidolon as a bonus friend your god sent you, and at fifth level Paladin, you can just take the magic sword divine bond.  Your god really likes you.

Good ol' Anniversary Edition Rise of the Runelords? I hear stuff is a lot better balanced in that version. I can always bring one of my adorkable halflings in to the game . . . I haven't ran multiple characters in a while, but it'll be fun. Besides, let's face it, the NPC's are totally there for romancing primarily. :3

Edit: I was doing grid-rolling, but do you want me to do point buy or anything specific? Presuming level 1 gestalt, of course.

I'm going to be honest.  I don't care if you roll at all.  You can pick your stats, if you want.  I trust you, and with just your two characters setting forth on grand adventure, I wouldn't saddle you with mediocre rolled stats anyways.  (Though Miss Paladin got some pretty solid stats.)  Heck, I'd even let you move your Cleric spellcasting over to Charisma for a feat.

When you say the NPCs are there for romancing "primarily," are you implying they have a secondary purpose? :P

For realsies, they're too good not to keep despite the 12 Con on a frontline paladin.

Now I just gotta figure out who my loyal minion shall be! (And whether or not the paladin has a little something 'extra' from her demonic parentage. *Cackles quietly*)

As are the base of the horns. But we already know these things. I . . part of me had the really weird idea of the sidekick being a half-elf Ranger/Alchemist. I don't know if it's a terrible idea, or incredibly OP. @.@

As for Ranger/Alchemist, only one way to find out.  I don't really see those two meshing all that well, but I don't see them meshing all that horribly, either.

I was explicitly thinking the Trapper archetype for Ranger. A very mechanically-minded ranger, that trades out magic for knowledge of traps and poisons and bombs. it also helps that Rangers actually having a Throwing fighting style to choose from now.

I also thought of something even better than Cleric/Paladin. Paladin/Bard (Dervish Dancer). Pretty tiefling dancing around the battlefield~
