Marvel Teen Avengers - Game Threads

Setting:
Since the near-destruction of Hydra, the end of the Second World War and the expansion of the peacekeeping organisation known as SHIELD, earth has finally managed to achieve a sense of stability. Many of the world's so-called Super-Villains now reside in high-security prisons, scattered throughout America, while the more benevolent metahumans are watched closely by SHIELD. The world still flinches at the sight of super powers, whether good or bad, but those who deem themselves heroes are at least tolerated.

The Avengers is an initiative which both SHIELD and Stark Industries supported, with the former being more subtle in its help while simultaneously positioning themselves to manipulate its members. SHIELD sees the Avenger program as a method in pitting freak against freak while diminishing the losses of its own agents. Stark Industries on the other hand feels the Avengers are the only way to break the stalemate between SHIELD and its enemies. Stark's father, before he died, also believed the Avengers might be the only hope earth might have as he felt the current stability was nought but the calm before the storm.

With the creation of the Avengers also came the building of a school, Stormvalley high, which (through no coincidence) a large number of teen superheroes now attend. Here the teen Avengers are able to live under the aliases given to them by SHIELD while hopefully attaining a sense of stability and normalcy between missions. Most remain ignorant of the fact that they share the same school with their colleagues from the Avengers.

Game Mechanic:
Marvel Teen Avengers allows players to pluck characters from the Marvel universe, revise them in almost any manner they prefer and plop them right into our own little RP world. The differences between each character and their alternate-selves may vary, both greatly and subtly, with only two constants; their skills/powers and alignments. It doesn't matter how much of them has changed (or stayed the same) from the original world to the current as long as they retain their alliances and abilities. As for the world itself, the heroes and villains all might be in their teens but humanity has progressed to its currently developed state.

Game Layout:
It is important to note that there are no set GMs or storytellers in Marvel Teen Avengers. Instead, the game works on a system of episodes, where each player has the right to pitch an idea for a storyline which they will ultimately act as the GM for. Beside setting their own rules and requirements, these players will also be left to their own devices when recruiting. Be warned, only players which have been approved may join a storyline.

"Current" Restrictions:
-First, check the Character thread to see which characters are already approved and in play. We are not allowing multiple versions of the same character.

-Secondly, if you wish to make a custom (non-canon) character, that is great! Just try to avoid powers those already in the game possess; we are trying not to double up here. Or if you wish to alter a canon character to work that is also great! Gender-swapping characters has been done already so that is one way to go. The only restrictions are that we would like all of the characters to be 'teenagers' and heroes. We are not looking for villain PCs at all, at this time.

-Thirdly, right now we have an overabundance of super-strong/super-tough characters, so we would really like to see characters that fall outside of the "Sheer strength" category.

Consider me officially interested! Along with an accompanying character sheet!

Student Name: Ororo Munroe

Avenger Name: Storm

Apparent Age: Eighteen

Appearance:

Alias Appearance: She wears a simple white bodysuit with gold trim, along with a split cape attached to her collar and both wrists.

Marvel Character: Storm

History/Significant Events: At a young age her father was sent to Cairo on a business trip. The young Ororo fortuitously fell ill days before she was to travel with her parents to live in the foreign city. Her mother deciding it was best to remain behind with the sick child was also spared when a calamity destroyed the building her father was living in at the time. Her powers, which had already begun to make themselves known proved to be difficult for her to keep under control on her own. With the help of her mother and paternal grandparents she was able to begin to learn how to control and use her powers.

Her mother was approached many times to have the young Ororo sent to special schools for those who are gifted. She flatly refused being unwilling to be separated from her child, especially after the death of her husband. So she continued to attend the local school of Stormvalley High, not so coincidentally along side many others young individuals with various powers and abilities. The support of her mother and grandparents have made her a very confident, mature, and stable young woman.

Personality: She very much acts 'older' than she is, though a bit of an outsider. She tends to treat people fairly and perhaps even act cool and aloof at times.

Powers: Weather manipulation: She can control various weather conditions, changing them or summoning them at will.

Fears and Weaknesses: She is, without her powers, very much a normal human being of good physical condition. She has an extreme fear of snakes, and also enclosed spaces due to an incident in which she was locked in a locker for six hours by a band of bullies when she was in elementary school.

Controllable: She has an extraordinarily high willpower, which makes direct control of her difficult. While she is not immune to such effects her extreme willpower makes it difficult to do so.

Hmmm... I'd like to give this a shot. I do quite a bit of deviating so let me know if this works...

Student Name: Suzanne Quattro
Avenger Name: Suzi Q
Apparent Age: 17
Appearance:

Alias Appearance: Due to the nature of her powers, Suzi Q doesn't have an official outfit. She commonly wears bikinis since they are quickly removable. She doesn't mind that she looks really good in them either.
Marvel Character: Invisible Woman
History/Significant Events: Suzanne Quattro originally comes from Long Island. A few years back her father was imprisoned for killing a loan shark. After getting herself emancipated, Suzanne decided to try modelling and acting. While shooting a low-budget sci-fi film at an abandoned lab, Suzanne was exposed to high levels of radiation when a small nuclear reactor was accidentally turned on. The energy turned Suzanne invisible and the frightened girl turned to the authorities for help. She was soon trained enough to resume visibility and later discovered she could create a powerful force field. After deciding that SHIELD original alias for her, "Invisible Girl," was bland and boring, she decided to go by Suzi Q with the "Q" standing for "Quantum." She intends to parlay her Avengers work into a career in entertainment. Unlike several of her peers, she doesn't bother with a secret identity as the crew of the film she worked on quickly revealed who she was for the publicity.
Personality: Suzi Q wants to be a star and forget about her less than ideal childhood. She likes attention and is somewhat annoyed her powers aren't as attention-grabbing and visually impressive as those of others.  She has a bit of a soft spot for kids and can be surprisingly mothering.
Powers: Suzi Q can turn invisible at will. This only effects her body and not her clothing, requiring her to be nude to be hidden from sight. She can also create a protective aura of invisible force around her. Her powers come from her body's altered quantum field, which can either warp light or matter. Suzi Q currently only has a basic mastery of her powers and has the potential for greater control.
Fears and Weaknesses: Suzi Q can not use her invisibility and personal force field at the same time. She feels some insecurity over her own abilities, which is one reason she wishing to eventually leave adventuring for acting.
Controllable: Yes, while not a weak-willed person she nonetheless has no telepathic defenses or training in resisting such intrusion.

Corinthi

Student Name: Pietro Maximoff
Avenger Name: Quicksilver
Apparent Age: 18
Appearance:
Alias Appearance:
Marvel Character: Quicksilver
History/Significant Events: Pietro is the son of the infamous mutant terrorist leader, Magneto. He and his silver were groomed in some of the finest private schools in Europe to one day inherit the kingdom their father was trying to build. While both siblings were originally part of their father's organization, they turned their backs on him during their first outing. His sister couldn't stomach Magneto's methods, and Pietro's first loyalty is to her. So, they turned against their father, and with the help of some more experienced heroes were about to thwart his plans. With no where else to go, they founds themselves shipped off to Stormvalley High.
Personality: Pietro is a short tempered jerk with a serious superiority complex, and yet, he's not malevolent. His personality is shaped a great deal by his superpower. Imagine that the entire world is always moving in slow motion. People talk in slurring drawls, and you can see the television screen refresh in long horizontal lines. His entire life is like standing in the back of a long queue, while the old woman at the register is counting pennies. So yeah, he's impatient, but he tends to fall on the side of angels.
Powers: Quicksilver is a speedster. He can move faster than the eye can see, run across water, up walls, and is immune to the friction, reduced oxygen, or fatigue that comes from moving at that sort of speed. He can use his incredible speed for all manner of mundane tasks, completing them in a fraction of the time it would take others. While he's not stronger than a regular athletic male his age and size, he can punch or tackle people at superspeed, causing more damage without breaking himself any more than a normal blow. He might bruise his knuckles, but his hand won't explode as would be reasonable with Newtonian Physics.
Fears and Weaknesses: In addition to his lamentable lack of social skills, Pietro has a legendary case of ADHD and tends to eat something like 20,000 calories per day to maintain his incredible metabolism. And there is that small concern that his father will punish him for his betrayal.
Controllable: Yup, although Quicksilver's mind can be slippery because he thinks so fast.

I might be interested in playing a specific super villian. The Hellfire Clubs Black Queen. Due to her age being many thousands of years and her magic draining her youth how would we make her a teen?

Also could her alternate version be gender reversed?

Great characters so far everyone! I think that's enough interest so I'll start sprucing up the RP a little.

You can make an original character and simply take the powers and affiliations of a canon one. Or you can make a completely original character and create a single power of your own.

I'm trying to avoid having any super-villains at the moment besides the two I asked for as it might be difficult squeezing them into the plot.

As for age and gender reversals. You can change basically anything of the character, from their gender and appearance to their personality and history. The only thing you can't change is their power and allegiance (Good or Evil). I'm actually making Thor a female rocker although I might keep her old personality for giggles.

Student Name:  Hanuka McCoy

Avenger Name: Beast

Apparent Age: 17

Appearance: A 5'10 athletically built girl covered in downy blue-black fur, full in the hips and breast, slim in the waist.  She has golden eyes and wears glasses too read.  She has retractable claws and fully prehensile toes.  Her teeth are a bit pointy--enough to make kissing intimidating without actually interfering.  She has triangular ears and thick, waist length hair.

Alias Appearance: Through the use of an image inducer, she conceals herself under a hologram of a Caucasian girl with blue eyes and the same waist length, thick black hair.

Marvel Character: Hanuka McCoy is a gender reversal of Beast from the X-men.

History/Significant Events: (This is a little like your character's history except it only highlights the points in your character's life which had the most impact. If your character's history differs greatly from the Marvel Character then you will have to be a little more thorough.)

Personality:  Hanuka is taking college level science classes and also enjoys reading--both popular fiction and literature.  Like most nerds her age, she's shy at first, but full of depth and eloquence when you get too know her.  Unlike most, she's brave and not hard too bring out of her shell in small group situations.  It's in public that she clams up.

Powers:  Heightened physicality--especially agility.  Extremely intelligent.  Prehensile toes.  Retractable claws aid in climbing and can gouge through a kevlar vest.   She tends to produce gadgets when she can, useful for both the avengers and high school pranks.  Low light vision and slightly heightened senses.

Fears and Weaknesses:  Typical insecurities for a teenage girl who doesn't look at all normal.  Sh might even suffer a temporary change of allegiance if properly seduced.  She's also extremely uncomfortable with bugs.  "They were bad enough when I just had hair for them to get into.  Now I'm covered in fur."

Student Name: Caroline Sidorov
Avenger Name: Colossus
Apparent Age: 17

Appearance:

Marvel Character: Female version of Colossus

History/Significant Events: Caroline is from a small farming community in the Mid West.  Born a larger than normal girl, she dealt with much ridicule during her life.  Much of this she turned inward, focusing on making her body more her own.  Plans were made for her to go to college, taking her out of the town where she suffered from the bullying and inability to fit into the crowd.  That changed when a piece of farming equipment malfunctioned and sent bits of metal flying toward her sisters.  Caroline shifted her skin to metal, deflecting the shrapnel away and then stopping the machine with her hands.  From there she was immediately sent away to the Avenger Academy.

Powers:  She has the ability to alter her skin into an organic metal.  While in this state she achieves an additional foot of height (placing her over seven feet) and becomes incredibly strong.  The transformation cannot be made partial, but must be all or nothing.  While in this state she also has increased stamina and endurance, can go without food/water and oxygen.

Fears and Weaknesses:  Caroline is shy and typically an introvert.  She does have a temper that she is trying to channel into boxing and more structured forms of fighting.  There is an intense dislike for bullying and a strong desire to simply fit into the rest of the crowd.

Student Name: (Your character's name while playing civilian.) Mark Milton

Avenger Name: (The title your character uses while playing Avenger.) Hyperion

Apparent Age: (How old your character is noted as.) 19

Appearance: (What your character looks like.)

Images of Hyperion

Marvel Character: (This is the character that your one is based on.) Hyperion

History/Significant Events: (This is a little like your character's history except it only highlights the points in your character's life which had the most impact. If your character's history differs greatly from the Marvel Character then you will have to be a little more thorough.)

Mark Milton was found in a capsule of extraterrestrial origin in the American Midwest by a pair of farmers who desperately wished to have a child but were unable to conceive. Within thirty-five minutes, SHIELD agents took the infant Mark Milton from those farmers, erased the memory of finding the child from their minds, and took the infant and capsule to a secure SHIELD facility located under the New Mexico desert. Raised as a ward of the state, Mark was essentially indoctrinated to believe in the dream of America and kept in the dark about the grim realities thereof. The most crucial element of this program was to impress upon Mark that, for all of his personal power, the state was an entity of unlimited power that he could not contend with and triumph.

His contact with normal human beings was limited to tightly screened personnel vetted by SHIELD. A brief exposure to peers his own age at twelve impressed upon Mark that he was not like others and would not be accepted for who he was. At the age of 14 Mark was clandestinely deployed by SHIELD to attack high priority targets in the Middle-East and Africa. He would sporadically be used for surgical strikes over the intervening years, particularly in situations where targets possessed post-human assets, until it was determined that he should attend Stormvalley High, to better socially integrate and form ties with the Avengers.

Personality: (The manner in which your character behaves and treats others.)

Mark is a very polite boy. He is not the most socially savvy person, and it is this that causes his polite facade to fail. His isolated upbringing left him without the experiences to understand many social cues that others with conventional upbringings understand and process without conscious thought. All of his efforts to please and be kind are, however, really just an act to gain emotional satisfaction and validation: everything inside him that is denied and unknown can never, ever be truly revealed because Mark learned at an early age that human beings will not accept an alien amongst them. His behaviour, his hiding, is because any hope he has of forming emotional bonds depends upon it. At the same time, it is very possible that his desire to be loved will not allow him to let himself be loved; being raised in an environment of calculated deceit has made Mark question everything.

He sees what SHIELD intends with the Avengers. And sometimes it bothers him. Sometimes it does not. The same is true of being a cog in the system. As for playing at hero, Mark has an instinct from his upbringing towards actions that are 'noble' or 'heroic' - his first instinct on seeing a burning building is to run in and save those within because it is how he was raised. But he has no specific empathy for the individuals he saves, and, increasingly, any outpouring of positive reactions simply do not touch him.

Powers: (List the powers your character has. I have a bad feeling that there are characters, or reiterations of characters, floating about the Marvel Universe that would unbalance the RP. This is my way of nipping such a problem in the bud.)

Mark's strength is off the charts. He is, likewise, nearly invulnerable as far as his handlers could tell (and with the resources of SHIELD, they were thorough). He can fly at speeds exceeding mach 7 (any faster would blow out SHIELD instruments, and Mark is always very responsible with SHIELD equipment). With a clear path, he can run at speeds exceeding three hundred miles per hour (less in difficult terrain) and maintain such speeds indefinitely so long as he possesses an unobstructed path. Mark can survive in space unaided for indefinite periods of time. He can sleep, but he does not need to. His sight and hearing extend to incredible distances, and he can perceive spectrums the human eye cannot in addition to being able to perceive and process at speeds that a human being cannot (which is fortunate, considering the speeds he can achieve). Mark also possesses 'flash vision' - an offensive ability entailing projecting purple energy from his eyes. Exposure to his flash vision will burn matter upon contact, and indirect contact has affected subjects in a manner resembling strong and extended solar exposure (e.g. tanning, sunburn).

Fears and Weaknesses: (You could pretend your character has none... Ignorance is bliss.)

Mark Milton fears things 'bigger' than himself. A specific SHIELD agent is not frightening - but having the entirety of SHIELD against him is. The average American could not, in a million years, physically hurt him, but America could.

Social rejection is also a very big concern for Mark. His fellow Avengers are people who are 'like' him - people who are different. Mark very much does not want to jeopardize friendships with and acceptance from people like himself. There's always that fear that people will see how different he is and reject him.

Controllable: (Will your character be susceptible to the powers of the main villain's mind control?)

No. But one does not need mind control powers to sense Mark's insecurities and use them to manipulate him - which is just as SHIELD intended.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

I'm surprised I haven't had any volunteers for the super-villain roles since they're pretty much going to be the plot's most powerful characters...

Alright, so is this going to be a freeform game?  Semi-freeform?  How will you handle combat if it comes up?

Also, what is the exact year?

Here's Gamoran for your perusal.

Student Name: Gamoran
Avenger Name: Gamoran
Apparent Age: 18
Appearance: As a Zen Whoberian, Gamoran has green skin and yellow markings around his eyes.  He is very well built and handsome, tending to dress in loose fitting pants and dark shirts.  His hair is black and long, worn tied in a ponytail.
Alias Appearance: In battle dress, Gamoran wears dark green leathery pants and black boots, with nothing covering his torso.
Marvel Character: Gamora
History/Significant Events: Gamoran is the last of his species, the Zen Whoberi, who were exterminated by the Badoon.  Thanos found the child and decided to use him as a weapon. Gamoran was raised and trained by Thanos to assassinate the Magus, an evil alternate version of Adam Warlock. Thanos showed him little kindness during his childhood, but Gamoran was very loyal to the man who promised him the opportunity to avenge the death of his family. Gamora became very proficient in the martial arts, earning the nickname "The most dangerous man in the universe". When he was a teenager, Thanos took him on a trip. Gamoran disobeyed Thanos's orders, and due to this came into conflict with a group of thugs. He was greatly outnumbered, and despite his skills he was defeated. Thanos found him half dead, and in turn murdered all of his assailants and restored him to health, cybernetically enhancing him to superhuman levels and bestowed upon him a magical dagger that could supposedly slay gods.  However, before Thanos' plans could come to fruition, a masterminded attack involving Galactus unwittingly used as a distraction ended up with Gamoran kidnapped by space pirates, who in turn was liberated by another spacefaring crew known as the Starjammers.  During all this, one of the pirates, a telepath blurred his memories and made him ignorant of the fact that Thanos was likely looking for him.  Not knowing who would be searching for young Gamoran and on the run themselves from a Shi'ar empire run by the evil Deathbird, the Starjammers fled to Earth, where Gamoran, who had befriended the Starjammers was told he should attempt to fit in to Terran society.  If asked, he was to tell people he was simply a mutant... and so, registering with SHIELD, Gamoran was assigned to Stormvalley High School.
Personality: Gamoran is friendly enough, though very competitive... though his sense of humor can make him seem cold and he sometimes laughs at things that others may think are very inappropriate to laugh at.  His loyalty must be earned but once one has done so, that loyalty is unfaltering.  All in all he seems to be on the side of right, with a hint of selfishness thrown in.
Powers: Superhuman Strength (Class 50), Dexterity and Endurance as well as a decent amount of resistance to injury as well as enhanced superhuman healing.  His fighting skill is born from a superhuman knack for it combined with years of training from Thanos himself using martial arts techniques from various worlds.  He is capable of defeating opponents who possess superhuman strength and durability that far surpass his own, although his potential is even greater once he fully matures.  He is learning to paralyze or kill opponents using vital point strikes directed at certain nerve clusters.  Although skilled in the use of most conventional weapons, he prefers to use knives and swords.  Finally, he possesses a dagger called the Godslayer whose unknown properties make it capable of harming/slaying even beings of such godlike power as Thanos and the Magus.
Fears and Weaknesses:   Gamoran has a fear that he won't be good enough.  His defeat at the hands of those thugs on that planet has put doubt in his own abilities into his mind.  It's small, but could be properly fanned into a flame by the right person.  Gamoran, despite his impressive skills and abilities still has to breathe and is subject to suffocation like anyone else.
Controllable: Though formidable by human standards, Gamoran's will is not sufficient to resist the more powerful telepaths around.

Alias Appearance: (She does not care how she looks since she can bend a person's way of seeing her so I am not going to post a hell lot of pictures here lol)
Marvel Character: Main bad girl
History/Significant Events:
Alex's live has not been one to celebrate, ever since little she was abused by her parents. She tried her best to survive their abuse but she was not making any success in that matter. From the moment she arrived home from school to the moment of leaving she was in constant fear, in her mind her life was in danger everyday of the week when she was at home. Little did she know what fate had in store for her and everybody near her. It was a fate that not even her knew where would take it and it all took place at her sixth birthday. That was the day her power went haywire and she discovered that she was one of the gifted ones.

Alex just came home from school, she was planning to lock herself in her room and watch some TV. However with her father drunk and her mother drugged she knew that the day would not end well. A couple of hours after she arrived her father broke inside her room and started beating her senseless because she locked her door, because she wanted some privacy and some sort of comfort on being alone. Blood went everywhere, her mouth spitting most of it as it stained the walls, bed and floor. On the floor and not being able to do much to stop the beating she just let her anger go. She wanted her father to kill himself so badly, she wanted him to take a knife and cut his own throat. To her surprise her father stopped the beating and like a zombie grabbed a pocket knife from his pocket and cut his own neck, his body dropping to the floor.

Her screams awoke her mother who rushed to the room and saw the mess that Alex created. Without thinking about it she grabbed the knife and rushed to attack Alex. Screaming her heart out Alex wished that everything were over, that she could get out alive and run away from it all. Her mother stopping right when she was about to push the knife on her daughters chest, her eyes were hollowed as she turned the knife around and stuck it on her own throat, falling down on the floor and bleeding to death. Not really understanding what just happened she decided it was best to run away from this life. Grabbing a few things she left her house only to be grabbed by the police a few days later.

What happened next anybody could guess, she was the subject to countless studies by the government. The poked and prodded her to no end, they did not wanted to let such a weapon fall into the hands of Shield or Stark industries. It all came to a halt the day she discovered the trigger to her power. Little by little she discovered what her powers were and understood one thing, the ones in power always got to do what they wanted. Now with the means to escape and the understanding of it all made it very easy for her to make everybody around her kill themselves or kill others near them. She walked out of the laboratories like nothing happened and decided it was time for her to become the one with power.

She walked aimlessly for a couple of months until she found the person that would train her to use her powers. He trained her in the ways of controlling her emotions and focusing to hear the thoughts of everybody around her. He also thought her the way to use that information to make herself a very dangerous person. It all came to one last test, one last thing to prove to herself that she could do whatever she wanted with anybodies mind. Walking right in the bank she made everybody believe that a band of thieves stormed inside and held everybody at gunpoint. They tied each and everyone of them with ropes that did not existed, since their minds believed it their bodies acted on it. She casually walked in the storage unit and took out all of the money inside as she left all the people inside the bank died from a believed gunshot to their hearts. Their mind believed it so much that they actually suffered the damage similar to a gunshot.

Now with her training complete she walks to a certain school that her teacher told her as his last will before she ended his life. She will form a sect and will give power to those who seeked it, she would enlist the help of all those who she deemed worthy and finish the people who made her suffer so much, the government and after that she would take over the world.

Personality: She is the type of person that believes that the one in power always gets what they want. Wanting to take over the world she goes to the school to find gifted like herself and turn them to her side. She appears to be a very weak and shy girl to everybody but that is just the front she is putting. In truth she is a sadistic woman who enjoys watching people get hurt by her and suffer on her behalf. She is a very intelligent young woman and always will find the smart way out of every situation she is in. At school she is the sweet, timid girl that everybody loves or start to loves. In reality she is a very dangerous woman that will take great pride in watching people in pain, both physically and emotionally.
Powers: She is able to control the mind of everybody around her, read minds is also very easy for her. She can make people believe whatever she wants them to believe by pure manipulation of their minds.
Fears and Weaknesses: Although she is a very powerful woman, she is physically weak. She cannot fight hand to hand with somebody and win.
Controllable: You cannot control the controller

I'mma show some interest and tentatively hold onto Ms Marvel. I'll work on a sheet and see how it fits.

EbonyQueen, Foxy Oni, Corinthi and Pumpkin Seeds, feel free to post your character in the Character Thread. I made some slight changes to the character profile, so just add in the changes as necessary please. They're not much.

I'll finish reading the rest of the profiles once I get back and post up the RP thread.

Also, here's the Out of Character Thread.

Oliander

After some rewrites, I'm happy to repost my character sheet, if it's still ok to get in.

Student Name: Peter Parker

Avenger Name: Spider-Man

Apparent Age: 17

Civilian Appearance:

Avenger Appearance:

Marvel Character: Spider-Man

History/Significant Events: Peter Parker lost his parents at a young age. Afterwards, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, who are like parents to him. Until the age of sixteen, Peter was a normal, if geeky, high school student. However, on one fateful field trip, Peter was bitten by an experimental spider. This bite triggered a mutation that gave him the powers to become... the Amazing Spider-Man!

But being Spider-Man isn't so amazing. In an attempt to juggle school, work, a girlfriend and being Spider-Man, Peter has managed to flunk in school, lose his job, and get dumped by his girlfriend all within a year of becoming Spider-Man. At the end of his rope, Peter was approached by SHIELD to attend their special academy. In return, they'd clear his poor grades and play it off as Peter being accepted into a very selective magnet program. Peter jumps at the opportunity to fix his life.

Personality: Peter Parker has always been your typical nice guy. Shy, helpful, and friendly. He's a science whiz after his father and it's the only class he didn't have a problem maintaining an A. Like your average teenager, Peter is carefree and feels invincible. He's a bit self-centered, having no humbling experiences in his life so far.

As Spider-Man, Peter dons a more quick-witted, wise-cracking persona that just doesn't shut up. This is to both psyche out his opponents and help Peter himself cope with high stress situations.

Powers:

-Superhuman strength, agility, stamina, reflexes, durability

-A precognitive 'spider sense'

-The ability to cling to most surfaces

-Produces extremely durable webs from mutations in his wrists

Fears and Weaknesses: Peter loves being Spider-Man. There's nothing that strokes the ego after being teased your entire life like putting on a costume and beating up wackos. Losing his abilities and returning to plain old Peter Parker scares him. However, that doesn't scare him nearly as much as Uncle Ben and Aunt May finding out he nearly failed high school!

Desires and Aversions: He's already becoming an urban legend in New Work- Peter wants Spider-Man to go global. An entire world of spidey-fans ("Webheads", he calls them) is his new ambition. He'll never voluntarily quit being Spider-Man.

Controllable: Yes

Scribbles

I added a few combat-orientated rules.

Muse, just modify it to fit the slightly changed profile, add at least one or two signficant events, then feel free to post it up into the character thread.

vin26m, sorry, can't have "classified" as your history. You don't have to share the entire history but at least put something. It's mostly for my own personal use.

Cold Heritage, feel free to post up your character. Just add the modifications I made to the profile.

LunarSage, you can put your profile up. All you need to add are the changes I made to the original profile. Oh and stay away from my Thor...

Oliander, feel free to post up your character.

Machete

I'd rather use a Magma-esque character named Eruption, whose description and personality I'll fill in as I think of them.

Name: Oharu Kobayashi
Age: 18

Description
Coming soon

Personality
Coming soon

Brief Bio
Oharu is, by far, the oldest of the Kobayashi siblings since she was born five years prior to her nearest siblings, who are twins.  She’s a second generation Japanese Canadian.

Her geokenesis started developing when she was fifteen.  At that time, however, it was very uncontrolled and mostly related to anger.

Weakness: Water

Controllable: Yes

Aiden

Tentative...

I have been in the mood to play a character based off The Punisher or the Captain himself, maybe Bucky.

I've finally set up a casual RP area. I wanted to form the teams at the same time but I don't want to delay the RP any longer. Plus, I'm dying to make my Thor!

Iron (Wo)man has opened up for play if anyone wants her although they'll have to follow my loose design of her. Sorry, needed her for the introduction.

You can start posting while I work on putting the teams together. If there's anyone specific you'd like to be with, PM me.

Lastly but not leastly, the first thread is a bit busy (pics and such) but that was just for fun. It's back to plain text for the rest of my posts.
