Dead Space Severed SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!

Okay, was I the only one surprised that Lexine and Gabe Weller got married.  I had assumed that it would be Lexine and Nathan McNeil that would get together, but either he had passed away due to his injuries or maybe he didn't follow through on his infatuation or Lexine just wasn't interested. 

Still, how in the world did Gabe and Lexine get together!?  Definitely, some chemistry must have been created when Lexine stayed with wounded Gabe during the last stages of Dead Space Extraction. 

I wish that Dead Space would shine more light on this surprising relationship.  But then again, the franchise is more into horror and action and not so much for romance.  Look at Nicole and Issac for example.  LOL. 

What is everyone's opinion on it?
