I'm not going to lie here. I got some ideas I'd like to try from Andy's list.

Female encountering a zombie vampire or werewolf, possibly a very large spider, maybe all four at different times.  She lives alone on her farm in the mid 1800s.  Homes are spaced really far apart and theres obviously no cars or electricity and such.

She's a young widow, her husband being killed in the early part of the civil war so she works the farm to keep from losing it.  She maybe goes into town once a month for supplies and such.
