At the request of the lovely Atenai I'm starting a D&D 3.5 forgotten realms campaign, which has a rather high sexual content. This means that the game will contain both hack & slash and other ways to defeat the monsters. The game will start in Waterdeep and characters begin as level 1 characters.

The basic rules.

1 Any class and race from the core books and the Faerun campaign books are allowed with the exception of races and classes possessing Psionic powers. Also any content from the book of Erotic Fantasy will be allowed.

2 This game will be set in the non con exotic system board for obvious reasons

3 This game will not be first come first served. I will be discussing the applications with Atenai, and your concepts will be the most important factor in deciding

4 We'll be using the point buy system and your character will have 40 points to spend. Yes really. You can find a calculator for the buy system here Obviously the bottom one.

5 To apply here you don't need a complete sheet, in fact I prefer you'd wait so the party can deliberate a little on what skills and feats they'll need. All I need here is a character concept, and your off and ons.

6 Dying will not be a common occurrence in this game, but losing a fight might end up with bigger problems

7 Don't take the piss. Be mindful of each other.

8 Dice rolls are handled by the dice bot up top

9 Real life takes precedence, but I like this game to be flowing rather quickly, so a post every day, or at the least every two days. If you cannot make it due to real life send me a PM

10 The miniskirts are plaid.

So far two spots have been confirmed.

Group one is done:

1 Atenai playing a beguiler
2 Rubyslippers playing a cleric
3 Ixy playing a swashbuckler
4 Thorne playing a ranger
5 Smitten Endymion playing a sorceress

Group two:

1 Tydorei
2 Kckolbe
3 Ghostweel
4 Benedicte
5 CarnivalOfGoats

Group 3:

1 Godfang
2 Muse
3 Angiejuusan
4 Silk
5 Curvykitten

I'd like to apply for a swashbuckler type... well-trained by a once-noble father who, secretly, was a little disappointed that she was a girl, she'd be a big proponent of justice (poetic, ironic, or vigilante variety all preferable), perhaps a little obsessive over the idea that they, the party, would be aspiring heroes of folklore-level status.  "Swept away", I would say.

If this concept doesn't work, I have other ideas as well... several characters that I never quite got to play out, or would like to try, including a sea witch (sorceress) that would translate well to an apprentice from Skullport.

My offs and ons are linked, but to sum up I'd say that either character concept is going to be on the 'frisky' side, interested in both sexes and adventurous encounters within, and near, their species (shrug).  None would be specifically into outright sexual assault, and this is an off for me as a player to experience, but rough handling to anything short of rape is pretty much ok by me as a player.  Combat gets messy, and that won't squick me as a player.

I'd like to apply with a mercenary (originally he was a half giant,i can just make him a freakishly big human  for this if you don't allow half giant). He was a child soldier, raised to be the squire of a female mercenary leader who taught him about war and sex. One day the leader betrayed the band and left them to die, he's the only last remaining member and he wants revenge..but he also wants her to take him back (because she's a messed up mother figure for him)

the class will be a crusader from the book of 9 swords, so he'll be tanky but has good cha and some utility (like breaking stuff using the stone dragon strikes)

I know you said not to have a character all made up but here's hoping to get Nys in a game that lasts more than two pages...naturally, everything is subject to change and adjustment for the campaign (most glaringly, I'm not sure what starting level you're looking at).

Nys Vendatti
Elven Transmuter
116 years old, 5'8", 150 lbs.

Nys Vendatti

Nys Vendatti (Niss Venn dot ee) is the young scion of the Vendatti clan, a group of elves committed to trade, diplomacy and neutrality.  The clan has a long history as nomads and craftsman, and several hundred years ago used their travels and knowledge toward trade.  They now stand as a wealthy group with a mixed reputation: they are known to trade with anyone, for anything.  They are the source turned to for the exotic, strange, or blatantly illegal.  Recently they’ve gained both renown and condemnation as sellers of exceptional slaves.

The physical appearance of the clan – silver hair and black nails - is said to derive from a history as dusk elves coupled with an influx of drow heritage, as they utilized marriage unions to gain entry into the markets of the underworld.  Relations are maintained to this day, and the Vendatti clan routinely roam the upper tunnels of the underdark.  Nys himself spent many summers during his youth with his beloved "Nana," a drow matriarch and the sister of his grandfather, the closest pure drow in his line.  Despite her fearsome reputation in the underdark, Nys is very fond of his Nana and often recounts stories of his adventures, mostly beginning with some sort of misbehavior - this sometimes gives him a unique viewpoint of understanding societies that don't adhere to the philosophies of men.

As the only son of the Highlord Varthen Vendatti, a remote and stern if loving man, Nys was raised with a certain expectation to one day assume a role of leadership within the clan.  Despite this, the long lives of elven kind imply any ascension to serious leadership is centuries away.  Varthen holds noble titles from many lands, given as reward or purchased for the convenience of nobility, and some devolve to Nys as well; however, they put little stock in them, and the only one Nys views as anything more than a credential is his clan title: the Silver Prince of the Vendatti.  His training has been long and practical, including swordplay, magic and business.  He's also developed a talent for body art, including piercings and both temporary and permanent inks, and sometimes utilizes slaves or friends as his canvas.  Nys’ mother was killed when he was still a boy, about 70 years ago, when a lordling attacked them for transporting goods purchased from an enemy realm.

Now still a young adult by elven standards, Nys is nevertheless well traveled and much older than most mortals he encounters.  He enjoys tales, and is always ready with a "this reminds me of" story.  As the only son of the Highlord, expectations of him are high – possibly unachievably so.  He is a risk taker by elven standards although most short lived races don’t have the same perspective on time.  He has never felt any lack of bravery or honor, though he views them much differently than traditional nobility.  Risk is foolish without promise of return and bringing the clan profit and success is the highest form of duty.  He'll certainly help the damsel in distress: he just won't be suicidal about it, and failure to compensate him for the deed, at least within their capability, would be offensive.

His attitude towards others is likewise at times a bit mercenary, a carryover from his clan’s outlook toward business.  He values honesty, dislikes inflicting harm and understands antagonism is unproductive, but is ultimately goal driven and opportunity or desperation can quickly dismiss manners.   Friends are invaluable, but they don't expect favors for nothing.  A true ally is someone you can expect to keep their word; and those who can do so are very rare.

Currently clan is the one thing sacred to Nys; nearly every action is weighed for its benefit to the family, and betrayal is unthinkable.  He would sacrifice anything to protect them – especially for his two younger sisters.

Orientation: Nys is strictly dominant, and heterosexual.
& Olivia Vendatti
Raven Familiar
A black raven with a single silver feather
Or sometimes human, early 20's, 120 lbs, 5'5", auburn hair and green eyes

Olivia Vendatti

Nys' familiar is a Raven named Olivia; as with other raven familiars she speaks common, with a lovely feminine voice.  In personality she is well matched to her master, if also a frequent source of frustration for him; she is normally submissive to men and a switch with women, highly sexual, voyeuristic and enjoys shocking others with periodic vulgarity and rudeness.  She takes particular delight in humiliating Nys' sexual partners: sometimes transforming simply to watch or taking advantage of his absence or distraction to taunt, tease, or torment.  Although bisexual, Nys has forbidden her from touching other men: something she finds "rather fucking annoying," but abides by with the dedication of a true submissive.  She is surprisingly (and rather pointlessly) kleptomaniac and often steals anything shiny and small that's left out, usually abandoning it once bored (although she is more capable of judging value than most humans, this rarely influences her desires.  She particularly prizes mirrors - she's a bit of a narcissist - bits of glass, beads, buttons, and coins).  She lives moment to moment, with no long term goals and a somewhat childish lack of foresight.

Several years ago, Nys crafted a unique magical item for Olivia: a silver feather that allows her to alter her shape at will.  Both before and after this, the two have shared many intimate moments.  Although the shapes available to her are many, her favorite is a pale human woman.

Character Links
Character Links:
As the representative of a merchant family, Nys could have met nearly anyone during a transaction: either personal or while working with the military, clergy, or other organization, either as a middle man or to craft a magical item himself.  He's also attracted to the powerful and unique, and may have come to know several of the group simply out of curiosity.  Olivia is a great ice breaker, and may have dragged him astray to get a better look at something shiny or been caught trying to steal something.  Finally, Nys isn't above mercenary work and may have met adventurers on shared missions or quests.

Unique Magical Items
Unique Items:
Collar of Submission: Developed by the Vendatti merchants to control newly captured or willful slaves, the Collar has become one of their signature items.  A dynamic, although not intelligent item, it changes its form between anything from a heavy iron band to a delicate filigree choker; whatever it's mood, the effect is the same.  When the Collar is placed on a humanoid they come under the effect of a Suggestion spell and are compelled to obey the owner's orders.  To help with the subtle breaking of a slave's will, it automatically prevents the wearer from taking any action to harm the owner, removing the collar, moving more than 100' away from the owner unless specifically commanded, and makes the wearer feel constant sexual arousal - often coupled with commands of chastity to create a simple reward and punishment system.  Because these effects are not explicitly stated, victims are often confused by their own unwillingness.  The collar may only be placed on a new victim once per day.  To prevent misuse, the owner's identity is set permanently during creation, and may not be altered.

Amulet of Detect Magic: A stylish although nondescript amulet set on a steel chain, this grants the user the ability to perceive magical auras and effects, as per the spell.  Curiously, when viewed itself by another detect magic spell the arcane interaction produces a prismatic glow far prettier than its normal appearance, although devoid of any game effect.

Olivia's Silver Feather: Although made of silver and inscribed with elvish runes, this feather is as fine as any real one.  It grants Olivia the ability to Alter Self, usually changing into a human although she sometimes enjoys other forms for mischief.  Because of Olivia's tendency to lose things and her lack of ability to carry items in her raven form, the Feather was designed to take the place of a natural feather and cannot be removed without significant pain and some injury.  Replacing the feather in Olivia - or in another creature - requires the use of a Piercer's craft.  The Feather changes to accommodate other forms; in her human form it becomes a nose piercing, while in others it may seem to be a silver claw, fang, or something similar.

Long Term Development
Role & Long Term Development:
Nys can certainly help turn the tide of battle with key spells such as Haste, Deep Slumber or Fireball; however, he generally envisions himself as less of a warrior and more of a support; he provides augmentations, crafts gear and potions, and deals with the minutiae of logistics.  He's also practiced at obtaining victims when they're alive, and sometimes even still helpful; avoiding the unpleasantness and repercussions of frequent murder.

As he develops, Nys will use his few skill points to continue to emphasize the skills that define him as a crafter and dominant: crafts, intimidate, perform, alchemy and appraise.  12th level and Forge Ring in particular will combine with his piercing profession give him an entirely new field of magical items to create, both to aid allies and subdue victims (or unlucky but lovely passersby).  Access to the various Polymorph spells promise many opportunities for shenanigans, both for fun and profit.

Thorne

Hrm. Looks like a couple of possible niches.

I have (somewhere) an elf ranger who might fit in nicely - ranged specialist, and not drow, so not one of those. More of a sniper than a melee specialist.
She has a very large orc-shaped chip on her shoulder. Not exactly a loner-type - no one who takes on orc raiding parties should try doing that alone - but isn't much for the talking. Surprisingly few issues of her own, her orc-issues come from a long family history of bloody interaction with orcs.

Or, if it's permissible, and everyone's sense of humour is up to the shenanigans, a drow glaive-fighter. L/N, if an L/E alignment would cause problems (it doesn't actually make that much difference to the roleplaying, depending on how alignments are handled). Female. Masquerading as male - because it's easier. Works as a mercenary, has a functional code of honour, is /still/ not a nice person. Is wandering around on the surface because she "Got tired of the vicious circle that is drow politics." - unquote.
Writer of horrors, artist of mayhem.

Are non-core classes allowed? In that case, I may be interested in doing a beguiler, or, barring that, a conjurer (summon tentacles!) or illusionist (see your wildest fantasy!).

One reason I prefer people not build their character yet is the possibility I might be introducing a seventh stat from BoEF. Appearance. This would mean a different point distribution, and obviously a few more points to distribute.

I'd enjoy playing a Dragon Shaman, if you'll have me.

As far as concepts go, are you hoping for a specific gender spread?  Say, enough girls and guys for everyone to couple up?  Or enough girls for a lot of non-con fun?

I'm not so much concerned about gender, though we did discuss the merits of an all female team in the original thread. Hence the miniskirt references. Sheets will purely be rated on concept compatibility and quality.

That's some Oedipus/RR Martin - type messed up stuff.  It's hot.  I love it.

If our concepts don't work for this venue, we should talk.

I'm interested in some type of melee class. Likely a Swordsage or Warblade. To actually start getting down and dirty in making my character, I'd like a bit more info on the premises. As in, when the game starts why are we in the same room? Mercenaries answering an ad, happened to be in the same pub, passengers on the same boat, ect.

oh wait. tome of battle is not one of the books allowed... hmmm. Let's lookie here...

Love me some ToB personally. And I asked, basically we're just not allowed psionic stuff or campaign-specific stuff that's not Forgotten Realms, so swordsages and warblades are A-OK :D

Tamhansen

Yes, sorry. I'm a bit of an oldschool player. When I say core, I mean any book written for the core game by WOTC. So as for ToB and ToM they are all okay. Also one piece of OGL material. The book of erotic fantasy.

So many fun people in this game.  Tydorei, glad to see you made it back to the site.  Was worried about you.

So many appealing options.  I could play a Duskblade, a Healer (probably wouldn't stay with it for long, but, RP-wise, it makes a nice start), a Marshal, a Warmage, or even a simple Wizard, all of which seem to fit the setting as well as compliment the current potential characters.  No matter what the character would be a human male, fairly well educated, and only somewhat well suited to hand to hand combat.

My personal ons/offs are linked, and things in the maybe section are fair game for this RP.

I have interest in a Sorceress semi-delusional "Hero of Justice" with the Chaste Life feat, probably some kind of aasimar.

Lockepick

After recently falling in love with the Spellthief class -- I'd really love to give that a shot. I'd be willing to work with the Bard/Rogue to make sure there was a little overlap as possible.

Main idea is that the character is the product of some arcane eugenics -- a wizard trying to create a 'master race' of sorcerers/wizards in a laboratory. My character develops his magical affinity as a mutation from that, and manages to escape. Having grown up in a laboratory, he's looking to explore all the world has to offer.

Probably going to play a dude. Probably bisexual IC, but I probably won't want to actually RP out any in depth M/F action.
Like what you see? I am currently looking for new plots!

All of my image links were previously photobucket and broken -- I'm fixing them as I use the avatars again, or for current games. Please let me know if there is something that needs updating!

CurvyKitten

Looks like you have a full party, if that changes let me know sounds like a lot of fun and I haven't played DnD in forever :P

BenedictWolfe

I love 3.5 and I adore the Forgotten Realms (pre-4th edition). If there's room I'd be interested in pitching in.

I really wish to play as a sun elf duskblade, but elven types seem to be already popular. Another concept would be a rock gnome swashbuckler, although you already seem to have a swasher of bucklers.

In any case, I'll be following this thread with interest.

I know right I still have my lovely tiefling rouge/shadow dancer that I have never really been able to play. ~pets her~ I still have all her info, I'll find some place to play her eventually. hehe

Tamhansen

First off. Thank you everyone for your interest in my game.

As there is so much interest I have decided to start a second group, running a different adventure path in Waterdeep.

After the initial group has been selected by Atenai and myself, I'll be setting up a second set of threads.

Considering the high quality of the applications choosing will be hard and will be done mostly on group complementarity.

Here is what I have so far, moving along nicely.

Mariel Tolka
Cleric of Sune

http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=660045

Need to pick out artistic form here is a list I'm considering any input her base skill is +11.

1. Body Painting (from simple small decoration to painting a nude body top to bottom)

2. Drawing

3. Silversmith

4. Tattooing

5. Perfumes

6. Jeweler

7. Writing (stories and poems, not spoken)

8. Any Other Suggestions Welcome

And yes she has some flaws, its adds "character" to the character to not be perfect.

No biggy I would just move her Char 18 to Appearance, and make Charisma as high as I can with the extra points. She is a cleric of Sune looks tend to outweigh even Wisdom in most things. I will hold further work on my character until you decide.

Tamhansen

Okay, first wave of invites for group one is sent.

Provided all of them choose to accept this mission, i will start sending out invites for group two.

Seeing all these brilliant concepts really makes me wish I could start a third group, but I know my limits.

if however someone feels like running a group I guess there are many many really great characters to choose from here, so any potential DM please make yourself known.
