Revelation

Hi there, as the title says - i'm sorta on the market for a 5e, PF, or starfinder game or trying Exalted 3e rather than just reading it. I have a really big itch for an active system pbp game, and while i'm not too picky on setting or the likes i'd probably prefer one i'm more familiar with or one of the few I want to give a try. Smut levels and story levels can be negotiable, but I do like some erotica in play at the least! Happy to gather other players as well for a potential GM, but i'm not sure if i'm up for GM'ing at the moment.

While i'm happy to have others on board so to speak, I am primarily looking for things that might pique my interest primarily, so just keep that in mind!

RedPhoenix

Would love a 5e game where I can use Xanathar's and Volo's. =)

It's important.  If the request isn't seconding Changing's, we should make our own thread for it.  :)

CeruleanSerenity

I can't really GM, but I'd love to join an Exalted 3e or D&D 5e game if I get the chance. I'm less interested in Pathfinder and Starfinder, but I might give them a try if the game's premise interests me.

Revelation

Seems to me then that there's at least a substantial 5e group here - or at least, everyone would be on board with it. Finding a DM is the hard part though.

I'm certain that the right setting and flavor would take off like a rocket. I'm not able to DM another game, but would love to participate in a detail-written game focused on a vivid and sexy-dark setting, interesting characters with balanced potential to contribute, and a fast pace. As in posting twice per week at the minimum.

I'd agree, if we can get a group that can reliably post that'd be pretty attractive to potential DM's. I'd like a decent amount of action and story in a game, one hopefully not compromising the other. I'm not a stickler on what exact setting to use for say D&D, but - I am open to thoughts or preferences from the DM and other players.

RE:Rapid posting. What are your thoughts on Discord or the like for running the actual game? It would require all players to be on at the same time, but the posting rate would be pretty significant.
When you bang your head against the wall, you don't get the answer, you get a headache.

Revelation

If it's a game that relies heavily on say, maps or positioning i'd prefer something like Roll20 or something that can allow maps and macros to be used, but i'm not against the idea of a chat based game. But that requires more player focus/time/investment/ability to commit to said game.

Schedualing is alway the complication for real time games.  After all, Elliquiy is literaly a world wide comunity!

What sort of character are you looking to play? That's usually a good place to start when looking for a GM. I might potentially be interested in GMing a Pathfinder or Starfinder game.
Time is an endless, tortured circle; alpha and omega indistinguishable from one another in the empyrean flow.

That's a very good question - and one I should definitely clarify! For PF, I made a psychopomp based summoner for a skulls and shackles game - while his theme was initially about wanting to be a pirate, it was more out of a wanderlust and a desire to experience life and its joys and could easily be switched out for a more traditional adventuring role. For starfinder,  there are a number of classes i'd like to give a go along with concepts. Mechanic, Operative, Soldier, maybe Solarion - it would really depend on the DM concept for the game.

Revelation

Gonna go ahead and bump this as I am still looking!

wander

I'd be interested in playing some Starfinder.

I have an Ysoki who's yet to see an IC post.  :-)

Cataclysmic Archangel

I'd be up for a game as well.  I haven't played much in ages, but I have most of the books.  Pretty solid with D&D 3.5, not too bad with 5E, so-so with Pathfinder, and never played Starfinder, but interested.  In terms of Exalted, I haven't played since 1e.

TheHighwayHitman

I am interested in seeing Starfinder as a total newb. I am unfamiliar with exalted and I wont touch 5e.

I mix pathfinder and 3.5. I like my homebrew stuff with regards to rules.

Some of my house rules are as follows:
-We do not use Combat Maneuver checks or defense. If there is a contradiction between the two sets of rules, we default to 3.5 (Improved Trip, Power Attack, etc).
No character gets a prestige class until they reach level 10 or quest for it as part if their story. No character will ever have more than three classes.
Odd races deal with racism. If you've got a tail or horns or look like some kind of zombie thing, you will be treated that way. You might have 18 cha, but if you're red and have a tail, 90% of the population will see you as a freak... a really memorable freak, but a freak all the same.
-If you dont rp your casting, it will fail. Yes we are gamers, but on E we need to be writers too!  As a caster, casting your spell is a chance for you to be sweet and knock a post out of the park! I encourage you to do so!

So, now that I've given everyone a heads up that I am particular as a GM, do you want me to put something together for you? Or pass?

If you pass, I am up for 3.5 or Pathfinder. I'm a Cleric player. :D

I'd personally be cool with all of those.  Not knowing as much has I should about PF, skipping the CMD stuff is fine by me.  and I keep saying I'm going to play a caster on E specifically so I CAN rp out casting... it just never ends up working that way. :p

TheHighwayHitman

Thats Uno!

I still need Dos Mas committment before I'll even take it seriously.

Muse

Which one were you offering to run HH?

  Pathfinder or stafrinder?

TheHighwayHitman

I can see where that might need some clarity since I only said I was interested in seeing Starfinder as a total newb. :)

So okay.

If I were to host anything it would be a baseline Pathfinder with a heavy throwback to 3.5 in areas that add excessive complication (like combat). I also do a homebrew setting that starts fairly small and builds more lore as players come up with their characters.

Does that help?
