The Malfoys and the Turners have been friends ever since the parents were young.  Mr. and Mrs. Turner have a son, Colin, one year beneath Draco.  Lucius Malfoy has watched the boys play from afar for years, always hanging back with the adults to speak stiffly in the drawing room after dinner parties and such.

To Mr. Malfoy, Colin Turner seems like the perfect child, intelligent, top of class, mischievous but never getting caught as Draco did.  At first, Lucius' actions are harmless; periodically leaving the swarm of chattering adults to go find Colin, speaking to him whenever he could..

Lucius Malfoy develops an obsession with the sixteen year old.  He wants to see what lies beneath those innocent, smug smirks, those harmless cocky jokes.  Colin is terrifically unspoiled, and Lucius wants to spoil him...
