I tend to find running games a little bit tiring with all of the stating and other things that go into it, but I do like playing them. I have been wanting to play a gunslinger character from the moment that I laid eyes on the character, only issue is most games I come across forbid them or don't like guns or other things in the campaign (like Samurai or Ninja, also featured in Ultimate Combat).

So I am looking for a group, established or one we could start that would accept my gunslinger girl. On the sex side of things, I'm open to most anything but the better the story and other characters, the more exciting the prospect!

RubySlippers

Not to mention things like godlings, come on what can be cooler than becoming at 20th level a true god!

I want to run one.

Muse

I think they're herculean types from one of the third party sources.

I could run for a gunslinger.  ^_^;;  I've got a bit going right now, but it's not going too fast, and I can tap one of my unused character histories for plot elements.

Crusade against a goblinoid nation anyone?

Would be awesome, there's always a cause for good old fashioned goblin killing.

“I’d like to tell you a story,” the petite purple haired woman began, addressing the gathering of adventurer’s in a tavern in northern Nirmathas."
“Once upon a time there was a little girl named Zazy.  She lived in the village of Vree north of Nirmathas and west of the orc infested Hold of Belkzen.  Her father Zarzuket was the master alchemist and her mother Fijit was a beauty loved by all.
“Kraetos, king of the goblins, sent a great army against Vree, and though the gnomes fought with all their cunning and all their strength the goblins soon had them all in chains.
“Zarzuket and his family were taken to the castle of the goblin king as slaves.  Zazy and Fijit had to work as scullery maids, but were spared the worst suffering the goblins could inflict so long as Zarzuket used his alchemical skills to arm the goblins with fire and poison.
“When little Zazy discovered what her father had too do, she whispered, "Defy him, father.  Defy the goblin king.  The black angel will protect mother and I."
“Her father smiled fondly and asked her, "Why is your angle black?"
“Zazy giggled, "So the goblins can't see her when the candles are out silly."
“For many years Zarzuket never did as his daughter asked.  Sometimes, she forgot about her angel, but in her dreams, the dark skinned woman held her while she cried.
“As Zazy grew closer to womanhood, her father was so fatigued by thought of the suffering his work caused that his orange hair faded 'til it was white as snow.  He groused and grumbled 'til Fezle the Overseer dragged his wife and daughter before him to teach him the price of defiance.  Fezle bound Zazy's hands over her head and laid open her back with a whip.
“Zazy clenched her teeth and made no sound.
“The vile goblin stroked her back again, and Zazy bit her lower lip 'til it bled.
“A third time the white hot pain caressed her back and Zazy screamed her mother's name.
“The gnome girl knew another stroke was coming and pledged before the gods that she would not cry out for her father, would not give the goblins any more power over him.  As the agony scorched across her a very different name ripped form her soul.  "Ater Angelus!"
“Then it was Fezle's turn to scream as the black angel ripped out his right eye with her claws.
“The angel slashed Zazy and her mother free and fled through a window with a gnome in each arm.  She had no wings yet, but magic enough to jump the wall.

The young woman closed her eyes for a moment, gathering her self control.  “That was five years ago.  The goblin’s are now at the border of this nation, and my father is still their slave.  Ater Angelus and I have grown strong and are ready to take the fight to them.  Will you help me?”

Blinkin

Hmmm... interesting... is this a gun slinger only or open to other classes?

And... I can't resist... who knows this quote and can place where it's from?

"You remind me of the babe."
"Babe?"
"The babe with the power."
"What power?"
"The power of voo-doo"
"Voo-doo?"
"You do."
"Do what?"
"Remind me of the babe."

Being Literate is the ability to read and understand a language. When you ask for literate, what you are looking for is Verbosity, which is the ability to use lots of words without actually saying very much... like politicians. I consider myself both literate and verbose.

RubySlippers

Awwwww, the only source I have is the OGL source online and they have godlings under third party.

Damn it more biase against the gods! (hurls lighting bolts on the mortal realm)

"Goblin king, goblin king, wherever you may be.  Come and take this child of mine far away from me!"

"Where'd she get that rubbish?  It doesn't even start with 'I Wish'?"

I resisted the temptation ot call the Goblin King Jareth.  :)

Ruby...  Let me look at it.  If nothing else I don't know how well it will fit the setting.

What are godlings?

Its a class ,third party, where you have the blood of a god in you or are a chosen champion destined to be a god if you hit 20th level. I personally don't see a big issue they have different sorts but compared to pathfinder classes never seemed overpowered. Some traits and things are roleplaying friendly like slowing aging not a game thing but you can live a long time and what godling of the goddess of lust say wants to become a god looking old.  ;)

But I thought this game would be for odd types if not that is okay.

Its only at 20th level of minor god though.  O:)

Muse

Having given it a look, Ruby, this looks like an acceptable and interesting class.  :) Show me what you've got?

It depends on what is needed there are four flavors of godling after all.

Do you need anything special in the group?

EDIT: I'm thinking a human daughter of Calistria, one of her many dalliances with a very exceptional human male and well he left her in his care. Not sure of what godling to take they all have promise.

Blinkin

Ok, how about a human ranger with a wolf as an animal companion?

Very appropriate to the setting, Blinkin.  :)

If you want to buff your animal companion, there's a feat for that.  Make it as powerful as a druid of your level's.

Current Cast:
Blinkin:  Ranger with Wolf?
Diabolus Lupus:  ???
Idej:  (Magus): Black Blade
Muse:  Summoner
Azrael:  Gunslinger
Ruby:  Some kind of godling.

Seeking a cleric type and a trapspringer.

Cythieus

The character concept I have been working on is a young maiden named Madison. She was the daughter of a smith and betrothed to her father's apprentice. On the night following their wedding she finds him making time with a prostitute while he thinks her to busy with her friends. She didn't react right away, even bothering to finish the ceremonies and let him retire back to the room to wait for her. She crept into her father's workshop, grabbed a pair of pistols and went up to where her now-husband was waiting. She killed him and without any excitement or crying, she just left. Left town, took the guns and kept moving.

She's not quite right in the head, she won't hurt someone needlessly. But she is happy to hurt someone if they push her too it. She speaks of her husband as if he just left her on the wedding night and she isn't sure what happened. It's a strange character to play, but would also be fun.

Muse

Sounds like fun.  :)

Are you familiar with Golarion, and the locations where firearms are most likely to come from?

There was one, I forget the empire, but it's small. I think it shouldn't be too hard to look up, though. I hate the regular guns though and I don't really get why revolvers are so forbidden. They're no more powerful than, say, a giant repeating crossbow.

I can look the empire up.

Muse

*chuckles*  You need to take a better look at the guns then.  (And the gunslinger.)

The damage is around the same is what I mean, though the guns do ignore armor up close. (which I think is brilliant)

Muse

*Grins*  Exactly.

At a certan level, you get to add your dex bonus to your damage, too.

Then there's a nice feat called, I believe, Deadeye shot?  Deadly Precision?  *Runs to look*

Deadly Aim:  http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/deadly-aim-combat

Combines beautifully with short range touch attacks.  :)

Grit feats are fun too, along with the normal line of ranged attack feats.  :)

The crossbowman archetype adds dex to its crossbow damage. But I get what you're saying. If you're close guns make all the difference.
