I've seen a lot of inspiration tossed out recently and the new game from Team Red and all has me thinking of starting a game. I don't plan for it to be much more than a one-shot at first, and I'm looking to use Savage Worlds to run it. Looking for street level characters; the 5-O's gonna notice ya strappin' a 'sault cannon, choomba!

I know nothing of Savage Worlds but I'm interested in Cyberpunk!

Let me add some more to the concept here.

All the PCs are part of some set; a gang, a crew, share a squat, whatever. That's for the players to figure out. For whatever reason, there's something that keeps you from immediately seeing each other as "targets." This doesn't necessarily mean you'll take a beatin' or a bullet for one of 'em, but it does answer why you're together.
Calling down The Man is not the healthiest option, especially if you do a lot of work for The Other Man. Standard issue street soldiers are fine, but they know enough not to advertise in denied territory. Street clothes are the order of the day (even if street clothes are Level IV armor and covered in light panels.)

I know the cyberpunk 2020 system...no knowledge of the savage worlds system

Savage Worlds is pretty rules lite, each task roll being based on a single, exploding die roll, the die getting bigger as your skill grows. Base TN is 4.
Cyberpunk characters are a little complex for what I'm looking at. If I was going to use that system, I'd go with CP, not CP2020.

I'd be interested in trying this out. I am fond of the cyberpunk genre, and a street level crew is exactly what I would love to play!

I'm not familiar with the Savage Worlds system, but I'm happy to learn if the material is available. Also, my main roleplaying experience in the genre is Shadowrun rather than Cyberpunk, so please bear with me if I get the names of the evil megacorporations ruling the world mixed up!
If you're such an iconoclast, where were you when we trashed Constantinople?

If you're curious about the system, Pinnacle has a test drive here: https://www.peginc.com/freebies/SWTestDriveTheWildHunt.pdf. The last half dozen pages are pretty much the entirety of the rules, to include basic character creation. There will be specifics for the setting, but that's what you need to play.

Regarding 'corps, no big thing. Just remember that all of them made up for Shadowrun don't exist. As I'm only setting this a couple fo decades in the future, expect your favorite ones of today to be represented (though not necessarily featured in a one shot). Of course, I'll prob'ly change a name to something similar, like Allied Parcel Service instead of UPS, if they show up as more than background.

Three have expressed interest. Are you still in? Anyone else want to get involved?
