Standing along the shore i stare off into the distance,
Not but a week before she would set sail from here,
Standing alone on the pier, the sky darkening,
How i longed for her embrace, on my cheek, a tear,
Standing silent among the crowds as the ships appeared
I await for her face among the hundreds, im gripped with fear
Standing heart broken again alone, no sign of her
Wanted, longed, and loved, i wait upon the pier
Standing rejuvinated, maybe it will be the next,
This will forever be my fate, spent waiting,
Not How I Wanted This

Caught in Between

They play their games of who is better,
As we poor out our hearts, the floor gets redder,
I bleed my convictions, i plead my innocence,
Unless convictions can make dollars and cents,

Served my time, gave them a chance to recover,
Even when we spend our time under covers,
Like children we hide our head,
Afraid to say something wrong and be dead,

you had a temper, filled with hate
You had rough hands, full of intent
You were smart, full of rage
Didnt know you could be that cruel

i have mother's grace, not your hate
I have mother's hands, soft but firm,
I have mother's mind, smart but kind
I will never be as cruel as you

had to get some weight off my chest
"Inside us all, a war wages, And the side that is victorious, is the one we let loose upon the world, which side are you?"
