Push - Game Live: Division and Non-Division Alike Still Welcomed

What's the game about?

I am taking the idea from the movie Push but tweaking it a little bit.

People with special abilities have been involved with the United States government for a number of years by this point in time. A special section called "Division" who hunts down these individuals, intent upon training them to be accents in wars as well as keeping the more powerful ones under lock and key. But there were other "Divisions" within other countries as well who were doing the very same thing.

In the year 2022, the American Division team begins rounding up those with special abilities after having developed a power boosting drug, that has be in development for years with failing results, except for on one person alone.  A Pusher was given the drug in the year 2020 with what seemed like another failing result, until the person awakens from what seemed liked death. Their abiltiy would have grown by ten fold thanks to the drug, leading to them taking over Division with malice intentions in mind.

In the two resulting years after the new leader of Division had been given the drug and taken over power, the section became even more secretive in reporting their findings to the government yet more than willing giving the information over  to the other "Divisions" scattered around the world. Others had been found who survived being injected with the drug while those unlucky others would meet their untimely deaths. The leaders all came together with the decision of rounding up all who were like themselves, wishing to get rid of those who they considered weak and keeping those who survived being given the drug.

Their madness wouldn't end there, once the ones who were like themselves were thinned out, they would next turn to the rest of the human race, those not born with the special abilities. Seeing who they could evolve into being like themselves while the rest of the human race would die, the beginning of genocide. A few members of Division wouldn't agree with the ideas of the others and they would leave beginning to warn the others just like themselves of the true intentions. Wishing to end things before they got taken too far. 



What types of characters are you looking for?

I would be looking for Characters who are deep within Division as well as those who are not. I want this to be a Protagonist vs. Antagonist type of game. For the moment I would only be accepting people who have special abilities rather than those who have none, given that Division's plan would still be within the first stage: thinning out those who have special abilities.

I myself would love to play a character, more of a protagonist; while trying to take on a GM role.


What about the sex?

I would like for this to be more of a plot driven game, the sex will be there but it's suppose to be more about the richness of the story rather than the short term victory of sexual gratification. But we shall see how that goes. 


How would this all begin?

A 'Watcher' or two would have visions of what is to come, before receiving visits from a now former members of Division warning them even further of what is to come. Knowing that something needs to be done to stop those plans a bit of a resistance would be build, trying to come up with a plan to overthrow Division and save the world.

List of Abilities

Watchers

Watchers are psychics who have Precognition, or the ability to see the future. However, since the future is fluid and always changing, they aren't always 100% reliable (but usually still rank around 95-98%), due to the actions taken to garner a different result, and have to be vigilant to see all the changes to the future. Watchers' visions of the future in their direct sphere of influence are subject to frequent shifting. Watchers visions are like a sense of deja vu. Watchers can get visions at will. Drinking alcoholic beverages can temporarily enhance a Watcher's abilities. Some write down or attempt to draw their visions so that they are remembered fully.

More skilled Watchers develop their skills to degree where they can see the necessary choices, actions, and happenings, in order to gain the desired future.


Movers

Movers are powerful telekinetics who are trained to identify the specific atomic frequency of a given material and alter the gravitational field around it, usually causing the nearby air to appear warped. This allows them to move both animate and inanimate objects. Advanced Movers can work at the molecular level, creating energy shields in the air around them or create power fists and kicks, a strike that delivers three times the power of a normal punch.


Pushers

Pushers have two main psychic abilities. They can obtain information from a target's mind, and they can also control a target's mind. They achieve this by pushing(hence the name) their mind into their target's and either manipulating their thoughts or reading them.  They also have the ability to implant memories, thoughts and emotions into the minds of other people in order to manipulate them. The skill level of the Pusher determines how many people the Pusher is able to control at one time, and how vivid the implanted memories are. A powerful Pusher can push a large group of people at the same time, basically creating a personal army. A Pusher is able to make a person do anything the Pusher desires, even commit suicide. A Pusher's eyes indicate how powerful they are: their pupils will dilate to certain degrees depending on how powerful the push is.

The more powerful a Pusher, the more people they can control, along with it being faster and easier to control someone's mind.


Bleeders

Bleeders have the ability to emit high-pitched sonic vibrations(screams) to the point that they can shatter glass, break other solid objects and rupture blood vessels in people's heads, causing their target to bleed out. While using this ability, their pupils turn into vertical slits, like a snake's, because of synthetic materials implanted in them to protect their blood vessels from the effects of their own ability. They are also sometimes known as Screechers or Screamers.


Sniffs

Sniffs are highly developed psychometrics who have the ability to observe the past by "sniffing" objects. They can also use their ability monitor someone's movements, track them, solve crimes, and sometimes even glimpse the future of the object they are sniffing. Like bloodhounds, their ability is increased if they have tactile access to an object that has been in direct contact with the subject. Sniffs receive information in the form of images, which is why identifiable landmarks help increase their effectiveness.


Shifters

Shifters can temporarily alter the appearance of an object by manipulating patterns of light interacting with it. Once the illusion is established, it remains with the object for a short period of time. For example, a Shifter could touch a one dollar bill and alter it to appear as a one hundred dollar bill until the effect expires. The object shifted must have roughly the same dimensions as the object it is shifted into. The length of time that the effect will last is based on the Shifter's experience.


Wipers

Wipers are skilled at either temporarily or permanently erasing memories, an invaluable asset in espionage. Experience will dictate the accuracy of their wipes, though there is always the danger that they will eliminate a desired memory.


Shadows

Shadows are trained to block the vision of other clairvoyants, such as Sniffs, making any subject within their target radius appear "dark". Experience will enhance the size of the area they can shadow and the intensity of their shielding effect. Shadows need to be awake to manifest their ability, so it is common for a detail of two Shadows to operate in shifts while protecting a person or object for extended periods. Most Shadows are effective only against Sniffs, but some extremely powerful Shadows are able to block even Watchers.


Stitches

Stitches are psychic surgeons trained to quickly reconstruct cells to their previous or healthy state. Using only their hands, they can heal and even un-heal whatever they have done. For more detailed work, Stitches use a silver-based cream on their hands which acts as a conductor for their ability.


Phasers

Phasers can pass through any solid object. By utilizing psychical energies, in compound with the molecular structure of solid objects in the vicinity, Phasers pass directly through walls, speeding cars, closed doors, and humans. Proper practice with this power can train one to let bullets and other harmful projectiles to phase through the Phaser unharmed.


Porters

Porters can teleport vast distances by willing to be elsewhere.

By nature, Porters have a subconscious understanding of the invisible ties of the universe. This unrealized instinct is responsible for many psychic powers, and is greatly expressed in Porters. All they need to do is just "want to be somewhere else". It is a relatively unstable power at first, but becomes a breeze given enough practice.

Eventually Porters could develop their power to transport other people as well.


Changer

Changers have the ability to alter their appearance. Sometimes Changers take the appearances of others. Not to be confused with a 'Shifter'

Rules

1. Watchers are not allowed to dictate other people's plots to them. Yes, the future is uncertain but unless it is agreed upon between people then it is best just to make your predictions stick to your own storylines not to mention that the GMs will also feed you very broad information about the future to use as well that can be for you or those around as well.

2. Pushers shall not push PCs unless it is agreed upon OOC. So yes Push non-con sex can happen just as long as it is cleared between the two players. The game is more than just the sex, please keep that in mind. Feel free to push the NPCs, once we have some up and going.

3. Each Character may only have One ability. Even if you are a second or third generation; Example: Both of your parents have abilities, The was Mother a Mover and the Father was a Pusher. You character could have inherited one of their abilities not both. ( At some point a NPC might be introduced being the very first to have more than one ability, someone that Division really wants to get their hands on.)

4. Issues had between Players will be addressed in messages to the GMs only. There will be no calling one another out in the OOC or publicly on Elliquiy as a whole. If such is done, depending on the degree you may be asked to leave the game.

► Beatrix at times can come off as a bit of a aloof person, not really opening up unless one took the time to attempt trying to do such. Around those who she knew a bit outspoken and pushy while having a quietness about her.  Her emotions were ones which could go from one extreme to the next when feeling pressured or scared. There was a deep hatred had for Division and what they had taken away; the sense of belonging that went away when they took her father.


► Beatrix is a second generation Watcher having gained the ability from her father. The man had taken the time to show that being able to see the future was not a curse but a blessing in disguise. He had taught her that with every action was a different reaction which could effect how the future would take shape, not meaning that decisions which people made could be predicted for the mind was a complex thing. When Beatrix was seventeen years old Division came and took her father away, she was only spared because they didn't know she had the same ability. The memory of people in suits carrying her father away, haunted Trixie for close to a year sending the young woman into a deep depression and proving to have an effect upon her ability before finally snapping out it, effectively ending the block that had come to her visions as well. 

In the past two years Beatrix has been trying to keep to herself as much as possible, hearing whispers that Division has begun taking people once again but in such a way that told they were up to something, even if a vision hadn't come about it as of yet.

►Beatrix had begun drinking a bit after finally gaining control of her abilties once again, finding that it intensified her visions. Due to that discovery she now drinks once a day, not to the point of becoming drunk but enough to try and have a sharper mind ready to receive visions when they come. Many notebooks were had filled with writings and drawings about visions and past dreams had about everything, even those who had gifts like herself who had never before been met,  wondering if they were all small pieces to a much larger puzzle at the end of the day.

► Desmond's personality could be easily defined with one word: Loner. He has true difficulties to work along other people. Maybe it's because of his gift; seeing various nuances of what the future could be can affect one's mind. Nevertheless, he's very polite with people, despite his inherent coldness. He's morally flexible though: better to kill a wolf now than lose a sheep later, and it's better to steal and live than to be honest and die. He's not a hateful person though; the few friends he has are of great value to him.


► Desmond's family is from Milwaukee, although he was raised in New York. He was born in March, 1994. He has a sister that's only a year younger - Isabella. Both his parents were division: a Watcher - his mother, Olivia Warren - and a Pusher - his father, Joel Hawkins. He manifested the gift very early, and thus entered Division ranks very early too - along with his sister, a Pusher like her father. His inability to work well in group plus the recurrent reports of his insubordination tired him from that organization, and he left it - not before stealing one hundred thousand dollars from division's coffers. He has been hunted ever since, his sister and a whole team after him from city to city, town to town. He can't sleep more than two nights in one place, so he constantly moves. His gift has provided him with priceless help, as he eluded his hunters many times. In the last nights though, he dreamed of terrible omens and horrible death. The world's changing, and it seems only the strongest will survive. With that in mind, he begins searching for other gifted individuals such as himself to form a resistance against Division, trying to overcome his own loneliness for the sake of his own freedom.

► Desmond has a very detailed dream journal; because of the early manifestation of his powers, he also developed unmatched drawing skills. He's also a talented hermeneut, being able to interpret most of his visions. He has also received extensive firearms and close combat training during his stay in the Division, so he can handle himself. He's  5.9 ft tall and weighs 160 lbs. He has dark blonde hair and brown eyes, as well as periorbital dark circles - he hasn't been able to sleep much lately. His expression is cold - he's not a natural smiler - and his skin is pale - he can't afford sun bathing in his situation.

► With Regina, what you see is not always what you get. She knows how to play a role, fake an accent, do whatever it takes to get by. Its to the point where she's not even sure who the real Regina is anymore but its all done for a reason right? Underneath the surface she's rather calm and even keeled. She watches what goes on around her, noticing even the little details, and reacts accordingly. She makes plans but most times ends up altering them on the fly--she thinks quick on her feet like that. Mostly Regina is a survivor. She does what she has to, when she has to, and doesn't waste time over thinking it. She doesn't have any close friends but then, given what she does that's to be expected right?

► The product of a Division experiment, Regina is the off-spring of two gifted Shifters. However, her abilities were late to bloom and as such the Division figured she was a null. When they would have terminated her, her parents performed their last decent act and got her to safety, using a means that was difficult to track and therefore something the Division would view as a waste considering they thought her powerless. Her parents were killed for their traitorous acts and Regina grew up in a group home in Southern California.

At age 12 Reggie's gift manifested quite strongly and thus began her life of deceit. Anytime she could, she used her abilities until she had mastered the ability to shift objects for long periods of time--something of a specialty of hers, the duration. At 15 she ran away from her group home and took it upon herself to craft a life worth living, while also gaining information on the Division bit by bit though never directly.

She does her best to stay off the grid and keep herself out of trouble but she's grown quite addicted to the rush of pulling off long cons and even theft, and she's so very good at what she does. She's amassed a small bit of money despite her age yet lives modestly, never staying in one place for long. She has grudge against the Division but she knows it may be years before she can ever get close enough to do what she dreams of doing, maybe never. Luckily she has the patience of a spider.

► Regina can speak English, Spanish, French, and Italian fluently and has an ear for accents. She's an accomplished liar and is very good fooling most people into seeing what they expect to see. She has somewhat of a Robin Hood complex but she's careful that nothing is easily traced back to her. Currently she is worried that the Division has finally caught wind of her and may be coming for her soon, but she has no way to be sure until it actually happens. She has a few connections but none of them seem to know anything either.

► Terrified.  Angry.  Lonely.  Has no idea how to relate to people.  Could really use a friend, but doesn’t even know where to begin.  Easily manipulated emotionally.  Psychologically, a pile of shattered glass.

► Sam is a mess.  He possessed moderately strong Mover abilities before they started experimenting on him.  He survived the drug and it boosted his powers exponentially.  It also caused him to lose virtually all control.  The Pushers managed to stop him before he tore the lab apart.  What they and the Wipers did to him afterwards shattered his memory and personality.  All that’s left now is a scared little boy. 

With the ability to rip a freight train apart with his thoughts.

The Division has him under lock and key right now.  Sedated and controlled.  How long they’ll be able to hold him—and what he’ll do when he comes loose—is anyone’s guess.

► Born in Orlando Florida, Jonathan built his life upon his ability to change his image. At the age of 10, Jonathan changed his appearance into that of an adult to become a assassin for hire. Later on in his career, Division picked him up and offered him a job. As a man who is able to get close to his targets, Jonathan became a valuable member of Division and is willingly able to offer anything to maintain his career path.

► Jonathan keeps a hidden blade contraption strapped to his left arm, under his sleeves. It is thin enough to keep hidden, but sharp enough to effectively kill someone when needed.

►Hard, gruff, rough and tough, the kind of guy that you wouldn't expect to find raising a family. He never saw himself with a wife or kids, even when he was a kid himself. He always was quiet, sullen, but never messed with in school because he was a scrappy kid, fought dirty, and defended himself pretty damn well. So he was a loner, never approached by girls, and too shy to approach them himself. Of course, this might have to do with the fact that his dad taught him to use his power at an early age, and was killed for it. He used it, frequently, practically daily, and sometimes, if he got in trouble, he would end up using it more frequently. He lived for most of his life with foster parents around New York City, ever since his parents had been killed by Division. He held them no grudge. Hard nut to crack, he is still approached frequently for his skills, unrelated to his powers, and yet not so much. Few of his employers knew about his ability, being that he took jobs from American branch of Division when they needed something done without their hands getting dirty.

► Born in Buffalo, New York, his parents both being gifted, taught him from a young age how to use his powers, and, probably more importantly, how to keep it discreet. Both of his parents were odd characters, and, when he looked back on it now, he realized that they probably held the same type of job that he did. He never really connected with them, so, when Division hunted them down with others that were gifted, he held no hatred for the organization. They were only doing their jobs, and it was rather pointless to hate thousands of people for killing people that he hardly knew, blood relations or no. He ran, because they tried to catch him too, but other than that, let Division do their thing with the world. A few weeks of vagrancy, and he was picked up, age 7, by child-care services. Once they established that he was an orphan, they put him quickly on the foster care services. He adapted as well as could be hoped. His general ill-humor and lack of the ability to bond significantly with anyone was attributed to the fact that some of the child care specialists thought that he had watched his parents die, but had refused to talk about it. His foster parents never had the money to send the kid to a psychiatrist, and, since he never really got into anything bad in school, they thought to just leave the kid be.

A mistake, obviously, but it might have proven more dangerous had Carl actually seen a doctor about his 'condition'. So, the moment he was 18, he packed up his few items, a small bit of cash that he had managed to put together doing odd jobs, as he was a rather good worker, if never a people person, and he ran away from 'home'. He even left Tom and Eva a note, since they had cared for him for 10 years. Did he love them as his parents? He couldn't really answer that. He had kept his original name all the way, though. He joined the Navy.

And, unsurprisingly, he fit in rather well there. The sense of camaraderie, the roughened types of honor, respect, and dignity appealed to his rather rugged mind, and he rose in the ranks. Starting out as a grunt in the Navy, he volunteered for the SEAL screening process, and was accepted. Becoming a Scout Sniper, as he turned out to be something of a prodigy with a rifle in his hands, he specialized in infil-exfil work, and, ten years, a couple promotions, and a chestful of medal later, he decided that he had had enough. During all this time, he was able to use his power to further enhance his performance, albeit carefully, so no suspicions arose.

However, unlike most of the men that retired from the military in fit condition, he did not join one of the many 'security' companies that had contacted him the moment word got out that he was resigning. He was honorably discharged, and he went his own way. He did his own work, choosing what he would do and not do, and finally, division caught up with him, saying that, if he wanted to stay alive, and not have a bunch of gifted people hunting him down, he should join them. He presented a counter offer.

► PERSONALITY
Alex is rather stubborn and a complete ass most of the time with a tendency to make snarky quips whenever he can, but there rare occasions he is capable of being a semi-decent person. Keyword: semi. The latter is usually towards those he actually gives a damn about or towards people that he hasn't had the time to form an opinion of, but that number is few and far between. The man is also capable of being civil towards anyone that he is dealing with when it comes to matters of business, but he has remained rather low-key as of late. Fairly intelligent, yet doesn't like to flaunt it unless the situation calls for his special blend of expertise.

► Background
Originally a Shadow for an overseas Division branch in London, England, Alexander had taken to seeking an early retirement in the states after his ideals no longer synced with his employer's. Alex had since performed several protection details for people and objects that were best left out of the Sight of Watchers and occasional Sniffs for the "Greater Good", but all he really cared about was the money.

That was, however, until Alex had gotten involved with another Shadow during one of his details with whom he shared a rather deep connection with. They had failed to remain out of the Division's Sight and while Alex had managed to get away, both the girl and the item they were protecting didn't. While it had been during her watch, Alex still tends to blame himself and hasn't taken as many jobs as he normally did since then.

Nikki is the type who survives.  She can come across as having an arrogant demeanor to those who don't get to know her but deep down she is a bit timid though she wouldn't show it.  She does what she has to do in order to make ends meet.  Even if that means working for Division. 

► Background
She was recruited to Division, and instead of dying by turning down their offer she accepted and used her skills for fast transport of items or people. She trained in combat so that she could use that in addition to her power of teleportation. Before being recruited She had a younger sister that had inherited her Father's gift of being a shadow but was executed after refusal to work for division.  This made her grow a bitterness and rough skin hoping to one day leave or overthrow them.

► Robert is not a violent man. In school he was the one to laugh and talk his way out of a scuffle. But don't think he would spare you for that, Robert, or as only a select few call him, Bob, simply let someone else do his dirty work for him. Over all he comes off as a nice person, he smiles and laughs and remembers your birthday but when it comes to calling the shots he is a cold, calculating and manipulative man. When it comes to everything else he is a reserved person, not the kind of man you'd say stands out. Not because he is an outcast, simply because he prefer to observe.

They convinced her that it would be better for everyone if she came with them, that they would smooth things over with her father and the authorities. She had no way of knowing that his memory loss was temporary and that he would raise a fuss looking for his daughter before being permanently silenced.

Megan views the Division as ‘the good guys’.  People with powers, people like her could do so much damage if left unchecked in the world. Originally reluctant to ‘muck with people’s heads’ she has become steadily better at it, more scalpel than hacksaw her incidents of unintentional wiping rare.

Fearing for his daughter's life, her father kept a low profile, purposely staying poor and living out in the country. He always warned Harlow to never, ever use her powers in public, and she never did, until she was eight. She was in the fourth grade and came across a group of girls and boys taunting her little sister, surrounding the six year old and shoving her back and forth in a circle. Harlow broke through and had her sister run away, then faced the bullies at they pushed her to the floor and started beating and kicking her. Sympathetic division, plus uncontrolled rage, pooled out of her and she snapped, clenching her hands and they were all shoved violently away, some even landing ten feet away. A few had broken bones, and the police were called. Division arrived on her footsteps a day later, only to find the house empty and her father halfway across the state.

Because the Division had her scent and she had exposed herself, her family was always on the run. They slept in rundown, little-to-no security motels and were gone by six a.m. They ate out of dumpsters and showered in the rivers whenever they could. It was a terrible life and Harlow always harbored a hatred for herself, plus a fiery vengeance to destroy the Division and honor her family.

This kept up until Harlow was eighteen, when she left her father and sister in a safe place. The plan was for Harlow to hike to the next town over and steal some provisions. When she came back two days later, she found them missing. She searched for days, but could find nothing and came to the conclusion that they had been captured and delivered to the Division as "refugees". This not only fueled a raging anger inside her, but made it escalate through the wall. She made a promise to brutally slaughter any Division member she came across, no matter what.

It's been five years, with no head nor tail of her family, and Harlow is still very, very royally pissed off.

Skye wasn’t aware of her adoption until her eighteenth birthday and that was when she started rebelling. Another thing also changed, something inside of her. She started feeling strange and it was around that time that she started to realize she had these strange abilities. She did know a little about the ‘Division’, but only what she had heard by word of mouth. It just wasn’t something she ever paid attention to until now. Skye did look into her biological mother at one point, but couldn’t find much about her other than where she used to live; the vague answer of Jacksonville, FL.

►Jaded and detached, or at least that's the face that she shows the world the vast majority of the time. BACKGROUND
►Valentina grew up in a good home, her family well-respected thanks to her father holding the rank of Colonel in the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, but for reasons that she couldn't understand until later on in her life, she was deprived of many of the freedoms and liberties which her peers enjoyed. From a young age, she was groomed by her parents to one day become an obedient and subservient stay-at-home wife just like her mother was. Even her contact with the outside world was severely limited. She was home schooled and only occasionally allowed to leave the house, and even that was only permitted when her father or one of her two brothers was available to escort her.

One day, when Valentina was twelve, her mother disappeared. No one knew why or where, not even her father. Everyone just assumed that she ran away to get away from her controlling husband and her tedious life as a housewife, but that explanation had always seemed rather suspect to Valentina. Being the only women in the family, she'd shared a very close bond with her mother and had never known her to be unhappy.

Yuriko, her mother, returned three years later, but not in a way that anyone could have predicted or wished for. She'd been brought home by two police officers, wrapped up in a heavy blanket, looking lost and confused as she mumbled to herself unintelligibly. It had been three years but the woman seemed to have aged more like ten or fifteen. She also had complete amnesia and severe brain trauma that she never recovered from, reducing her to the point where she could no longer even function independently. It was the saddest thing that Valentina had ever seen, and she sometimes wondered whether or not she'd be doing her mother a kindness by putting her out of that misery, but inside of herself she knew that she'd never be able to.

So she took care of her mother in addition to assuming all of the responsibilities around the household like she'd been doing since Yuriko's disappearance, but it didn't last. More men with guns came knocking at their door only a few months later, only this time they had bigger guns, and they'd come to take someone away rather than bring them back. Valentina was in shock when her father summarily explained to her that she had to leave with these men and do as they told her, as it went against practically everything that she'd known up until then. The image of her steely-faced father with tears streaming down his cheeks would haunt her for ever.

Valentina ended up in the FSB headquarters, and - although it was never directly stated to her - she came to understand that her family's safety and well-being depended entirely upon her compliance. They ran all sorts of tests on her, had her speak with psychiatrists for hours on end, pumped her full of drugs and did god knows what else to her while she was under anesthetics until finally her powers manifested themselves. After that she was trained by both the FSB and Division. For the last nine years, Valentina has been used to do a bit of everything. Most often it was counter-terrorism, since she could easily disarm and apprehend even a madman with a bomb strapped to his chest, but not all of her tasks were so noble. She's pushed foreign dignitaries in order to advance Russian agendas, tracked down and captured others with special abilities like herself so that they could 'develop in a controlled environment rather than growing wild and dangerous', and she's been sent on more than her fair share of kill missions.

Something has shaken up the various Division agencies recently, and as part of their recent global alliance, Valentina has been loaned to the American branch for an as of yet undetermined amount of time.

► History
Adam's story begins long before his birth, with the story of his father. The man the Division only called "Fox" was their 'Fixer', and one of the best they had. If they needed something to not be around any more, they would call in "Fox" to take care of it, whether it be assassination or the theft of large sums of cash from an enemy nation. He could get in and out before anyone realized he was there, because it took him no effort to enter. "Fox" was a porter and as long as he had a photo of where he wanted to be and the rough dimensions of the room, he could be there in moments.

The one weakness of the man the Division knew as "Fox" was his family life. They knew nothing of his wife or young son or the abusive nature of the man they trained to be their cleaner. As a side-effect of "Fox's" porting, he had developed a darker nature and became an abusive alcoholic to deal with the stresses of sending one's molecules to another location. It wasn't till it was discovered that the man had been stealing from the Division that he got a taste of his own medicine. One shot to the back of his head while he was asleep, in front of his terrified child.

Twenty years later and the boy grew up to run an inn, out of a warehouse. Adam struck a deal with the Division in order to keep his life separate from his past. In exchange for the Division not meddling in his affairs and letting him be, he wouldn't let the file his father had as an insurance policy out to the world and would allow their agents free stay at their bar. He knows the arrangement can't last forever, but he figures that he is a smaller issue for them to contend with.

► EXCESS INFORMATION
Adam is a rather interesting case for a porter, as he can not only teleport himself elsewhere, but he can teleport items to himself or elsewhere. This requires him to have intimate knowledge of the item in question, the location he is sending it to or taking it from, and something that ties the item to the location or himself, or both. He has yet to master porting human beings anything more than a few yards, and can only do so while in direct contact with them.

Adam also has a small fortune built up through unsavory methods, whether it be thievery, smuggling, or other unsavory methods.

1. Watchers are not allowed to dictate other people's plots to them. Yes, the future is uncertain but unless it is agreed upon between people then it is best just to make your predictions stick to your own storylines not to mention that the GMs will also feed you very broad information about the future to use as well that can be for you or those around as well.

2. Pushers shall not push PCs unless it is agreed upon OOC. So yes Push non-con sex can happen just as long as it is cleared between the two players. The game is more than just the sex, please keep that in mind. Feel free to push the NPCs, once we have some up and going.

3. Each Character may only have One ability. Even if you are a second or third generation; Example: Both of your parents have abilities, The was Mother a Mover and the Father was a Pusher. You character could have inherited one of their abilities not both. ( At some point a NPC might be introduced being the very first to have more than one ability, someone that Division really wants to get their hands on.)

4. Issues had between Players will be addressed in messages to the GMs only. There will be no calling one another out in the OOC or publicly on Elliquiy as a whole. If such is done, depending on the degree you may be asked to leave the game.

It would only be the alter of appearance not of the strength. A Changer is basically a Shift who can alter the appearance of their own body, nothing more and nothing less. Unless there are true concerns about such and it could then include altering strength. For the moment, the answer would be the very first sentence.

No, I could never see that changing. They are still human just with abilities that are not so rightly noticeable to everyone else, they appearance completely unspecial: a normal human being. I feel as if that could be used and get rather out of control fairly quickly.

Alex is rather stubborn and a complete ass most of the time with a tendency to make snarky quips whenever he can, but there rare occasions he is capable of being a semi-decent person. Keyword: semi. The latter is usually towards those he actually gives a damn about or towards people that he hasn't had the time to form an opinion of, but that number is few and far between. The man is also capable of being civil towards anyone that he is dealing with when it comes to matters of business, but he has remained rather low-key as of late. Fairly intelligent, yet doesn't like to flaunt it unless the situation calls for his special blend of expertise.

► Background
Originally a Shadow for an overseas Division branch in London, England, Alexander had taken to seeking an early retirement in the states after his ideals no longer synced with his employer's. Alex had since performed several protection details for people and objects that were best left out of the Sight of Watchers and occasional Sniffs for the "Greater Good", but all he really cared about was the money.

That was, however, until Alex had gotten involved with another Shadow during one of his details with whom he shared a rather deep connection with. They had failed to remain out of the Division's Sight and while Alex had managed to get away, both the girl and the item they were protecting didn't. While it had been during her watch, Alex still tends to blame himself and hasn't taken as many jobs as he normally did since then.

Originally a Shadow for an overseas Division branch in London, England, Alexander had taken to seeking an early [i]retirement[/i] in the states after his ideals no longer synced with his employer's. Alex had since performed several protection details for people and objects that were best left out of the Sight of Watchers and occasional Sniffs for the "Greater Good", but all he really cared about was the money.

That was, however, until Alex had gotten involved with another Shadow during one of his details with whom he shared a rather deep connection with. They had failed to remain out of the Division's Sight and while Alex had managed to get away, both the girl and the item they were protecting didn't. While it had been during her watch, Alex still tends to blame himself and hasn't taken as many jobs as he normally did since then.

► Desmond's personality could be easily defined with one word: Loner. He has true difficulties to work along other people. Maybe it's because of his gift; seeing various nuances of what the future could be can affect one's mind. Nevertheless, he's very polite with people, despite his inherent coldness. He's morally flexible though: better to kill a wolf now than lose a sheep later, and it's better to steal and live than to be honest and die. He's not a hateful person though; the few friends he has are of great value to him.


► Desmond's family is from Milwaukee, although he was raised in New York. He was born in March, 1994. He has a sister that's only a year younger - Isabella. Both his parents were division: a Watcher - his mother, Olivia Warren - and a Pusher - his father, Joel Hawkins. He manifested the gift very early, and thus entered Division ranks very early too - along with his sister, a Pusher like her father. His inability to work well in group plus the recurrent reports of his insubordination tired him from that organization, and he left it - not before stealing one hundred thousand dollars from division's coffers. He has been hunted ever since, his sister and a whole team after him from city to city, town to town. He can't sleep more than two nights in one place, so he constantly moves. His gift has provided him with priceless help, as he eluded his hunters many times. In the last nights though, he dreamed of terrible omens and horrible death. The world's changing, and it seems only the strongest will survive. With that in mind, he begins searching for other gifted individuals such as himself to form a resistance against Division, trying to overcome his own loneliness for the sake of his own freedom.

► Desmond has a very detailed dream journal; because of the early manifestation of his powers, he also developed unmatched drawing skills. He's also a talented hermeneut, being able to interpret most of his visions. He has also received extensive firearms and close combat training during his stay in the Division, so he can handle himself. He's  5.9 ft tall and weighs 160 lbs. He has dark blonde hair and brown eyes, as well as periorbital dark circles - he hasn't been able to sleep much lately. His expression is cold - he's not a natural smiler - and his skin is pale - he can't afford sun bathing in his situation.

► With Regina, what you see is not always what you get. She knows how to play a role, fake an accent, do whatever it takes to get by. Its to the point where she's not even sure who the real Regina is anymore but its all done for a reason right? Underneath the surface she's rather calm and even keeled. She watches what goes on around her, noticing even the little details, and reacts accordingly. She makes plans but most times ends up altering them on the fly--she thinks quick on her feet like that. Mostly Regina is a survivor. She does what she has to, when she has to, and doesn't waste time over thinking it. She doesn't have any close friends but then, given what she does that's to be expected right?

► The product of a Division experiment, Regina is the off-spring of two gifted Shifters. However, her abilities were late to bloom and as such the Division figured she was a null. When they would have terminated her, her parents performed their last decent act and got her to safety, using a means that was difficult to track and therefore something the Division would view as a waste considering they thought her powerless. Her parents were killed for their traitorous acts and Regina grew up in a group home in Southern California.

At age 12 Reggie's gift manifested quite strongly and thus began her life of deceit. Anytime she could, she used her abilities until she had mastered the ability to shift objects for long periods of time--something of a specialty of hers, the duration. At 15 she ran away from her group home and took it upon herself to craft a life worth living, while also gaining information on the Division bit by bit though never directly.

She does her best to stay off the grid and keep herself out of trouble but she's grown quite addicted to the rush of pulling off long cons and even theft, and she's so very good at what she does. She's amassed a small bit of money despite her age yet lives modestly, never staying in one place for long. She has grudge against the Division but she knows it may be years before she can ever get close enough to do what she dreams of doing, maybe never. Luckily she has the patience of a spider.

► Regina can speak English, Spanish, French, and Italian fluently and has an ear for accents. She's an accomplished liar and is very good fooling most people into seeing what they expect to see. She has somewhat of a Robin Hood complex but she's careful that nothing is easily traced back to her. Currently she is worried that the Division has finally caught wind of her and may be coming for her soon, but she has no way to be sure until it actually happens. She has a few connections but none of them seem to know anything either.

► Beatrix at times can come off as a bit of a aloof person, not really opening up unless one took the time to attempt trying to do such. Around those who she knew a bit outspoken and pushy while having a quietness about her.  Her emotions were ones which could go from one extreme to the next when feeling pressured or scared. There was a deep hatred had for Division and what they had taken away; the sense of belonging that went away when they took her father.


► Beatrix is a second generation Watcher having gained the ability from her father. The man had taken the time to show that being able to see the future was not a curse but a blessing in disguise. He had taught her that with every action was a different reaction which could effect how the future would take shape, not meaning that decisions which people made could be predicted for the mind was a complex thing. When Beatrix was seventeen years old Division came and took her father away, she was only spared because they didn't know she had the same ability. The memory of people in suits carrying her father away, haunted Trixie for close to a year sending the young woman into a deep depression and proving to have an effect upon her ability before finally snapping out it, effectively ending the block that had come to her visions as well. 

In the past two years Beatrix has been trying to keep to herself as much as possible, hearing whispers that Division has begun taking people once again but in such a way that told they were up to something, even if a vision hadn't come about it as of yet.

►Beatrix had begun drinking a bit after finally gaining control of her abilties once again, finding that it intensified her visions. Due to that discovery she now drinks once a day, not to the point of becoming drunk but enough to try and have a sharper mind ready to receive visions when they come. Many notebooks were had filled with writings and drawings about visions and past dreams had about everything, even those who had gifts like herself who had never before been met,  wondering if they were all small pieces to a much larger puzzle at the end of the day.

►Hard, gruff, rough and tough, the kind of guy that you wouldn't expect to find raising a family. He never saw himself with a wife or kids, even hen he was a kid himself. He always was quiet, sullen, but never messed with in school because he was a scrappy kid, fought dirty, and defended himself pretty damn well. So he was a loner, never approached by girls, and too shy to approach them himself. Of course, this might have to do with the fact that his dad taught him to use his power at an early age, and was killed for it. He used it, frequently, practically daily, and sometimes, if he got in trouble, he would end up using it more frequently. He lived for most of his life with foster parents around New York City, ever since his parents had been killed by Division. He held them no grudge. Hard nut to crack, he is still approached frequently for his skills, unrelated to his powers, and yet not so much. Few of his employers knew about his ability, being that he took jobs from American branch of Division when they needed something done without their hands getting dirty.

► Born in Buffalo, New York, his parents both being gifted, taught him from a young age how to use his powers, and, probably more importantly, how to keep it discreet. Both of his parents were odd characters, and, when he looked back on it now, he realized that they probably held the same type of job that he did. He never really connected with them, so, when Division hunted them down with others that were gifted, he held no hatred for the organization. They were only doing their jobs, and it was rather pointless to hate thousands of people for killing people that he hardly knew, blood relations or no. He ran, because they tried to catch him too, but other than that, let Division do their thing with the world. A few weeks of vagrancy, and he was picked up, age 7, by child-care services. Once they established that he was an orphan, they put him quickly on the foster care services. He adapted as well as could be hoped. His general ill-humor and lack of the ability to bond significantly with anyone was attributed to the fact that some of the child care specialists thought that he had watched his parents die, but had refused to talk about it. His foster parents never had the money to send the kid to a psychiatrist, and, since he never really got into anything bad in school, they thought to just leave the kid be.

A mistake, obviously, but it might have proven more dangerous had Carl actually seen a doctor about his 'condition'. So, the moment he was 18, he packed up his few items, a small bit of cash that he had managed to put together doing odd jobs, as he was a rather good worker, if never a people person, and he ran away from 'home'. He even left Tom and Eva a note, since they had cared for him for 10 years. Did he love them as his parents? He couldn't really answer that. He had kept his original name all the way, though. He joined the Navy.

And, unsurprisingly, he fit in rather well there. The sense of camaraderie, the roughened types of honor, respect, and dignity appealed to his rather rugged mind, and he rose in the ranks. Starting out as a grunt in the Navy, he volunteered for the SEAL screening process, and was accepted. Becoming a Scout Sniper, as he turned out to be something of a prodigy with a rifle in his hands, he specialized in infil-exfil work, and, ten years, a couple promotions, and a chestful of medal later, he decided that he had had enough. During all this time, he was able to use his power to further enhance his performance, albeit carefully, so no suspicions arose.

However, unlike most of the men that retired from the military in fit condition, he did not join one of the many 'security' companies that had contacted him the moment word got out that he was resigning. He was honorably discharged, and he went his own way. He did his own work, choosing what he would do and not do, and finally, division caught up with him, saying that, if he wanted to stay alive, and not have a bunch of gifted people hunting him down, he should join them. He presented a counter offer.

The closest to a neutral Character would be Bane's.. DeamonBane for example not tied to either sided directly but kinda could be thought of as Division. No one would be in hiding for the moment, at least not super underground. If that made any sense at all, I apologize slightly tired, need coffee or a smoke break.

Nikki is the type who survives.  She can come across as having an arrogant demeanor to those who don't get to know her but deep down she is a bit timid though she wouldn't show it.  She does what she has to do in order to make ends meet.  Even if that means working for Division. 

► Background
She was recruited to Division, and instead of dying by turning down their offer she accepted and used her skills for fast transport of items or people. She trained in combat so that she could use that in addition to her power of teleportation. Before being recruited She had a younger sister that had inherited her Father's gift of being a shadow but was executed after refusal to work for division.  This made her grow a bitterness and rough skin hoping to one day leave or overthrow them.

It's not that short, it gives you a chance as the player to expand upon her background a bit more once the game begins. I like what you have and I feel a bit of sympathy for Nikki, being that she might be Division but it was really because there was really no other choice to be had.

► PERSONALITY
Dani is a confident woman skilled in the art of using a pistol and she's not afraid to use it, since she can heal the person before taking them in to division. She will use whatever means necessary to bring in her guy/gal. She tends to work better alone, unless division wises up and pairs her with someone who is equally as devious in their work.

► Background
Dani works for division by choice. She grew up in a home with a normal father who worked as a guard for Division and a mother who was a Stitch choosing the more boring side of life by working in the hospital section of Division headquarters. When Dani became a young woman and her abilities started to form she was quickly recruited by to become part of the team.

Unlike her mother before her she opted for the more adventurous task of being a field agent. They trained her in the art of hand to hand combat forcing her to develop her abilities as part of the training. After each session she was to heal the bruised abdomen's and cracked ribs of her fellow trainee's. Now as a fully developed woman with the skills required she does as she's told like any good agent does, so long as it works with her own agenda.

There are two sides to her coin, one side is this very bubbly and fun girl that seems like the type that doesn't know much along with these moments that make it seem like she is clumsy and accidentally seductive. Actually, she is not that type at all. Patricia is a cold calculating girl that knows what she wants and has the drive to accomplish her goals. Many of her fellow sniffers hate her just because she seems so successful but no one is really sure why due to her bimboish facade.

Only her partner and boss know the side of her that got into Division and promoted to where she is today.

PERSONALITY
►Jaded and detached, or at least that's the face that she shows the world the vast majority of the time. It use to be a mask that she would put on to help cope with the things that she was forced to do, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to remember where the mask begins and her flesh begins anymore. Valentina has no ego (if she does it's kept well hidden) and she takes no pride or pleasure in what she does, but she's utterly ruthless and efficient at it. She has to be, because she knows what would happen to her and especially to her loved ones if her results declined and she was no longer of any use to Division.


BACKGROUND
►Valentina grew up in a good home, her family well-respected thanks to her father holding the rank of Colonel in the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, but for reasons that she couldn't understand until later on in her life, she was deprived of many of the freedoms and liberties which her peers enjoyed. From a young age, she was groomed by her parents to one day become an obedient and subservient stay-at-home wife just like her mother was. Even her contact with the outside world was severely limited. She was homeschooled and only occasionally allowed to leave the house, and even that was only permitted when her father or one of her two brothers was available to escort her.

One day, when Valentina was twelve, her mother disappeared. No one knew why or where, not even her father. Everyone just assumed that she ran away to get away from her controlling husband and her tedious life as a housewife, but that explanation had always seemed rather suspect to Valentina. Being the only women in the family, she'd shared a very close bond with her mother and had never known her to be unhappy.

Yuriko, her mother, returned three years later, but not in a way that anyone could have predicted or wished for. She'd been brought home by two police officers, wrapped up in a heavy blanket, looking lost and confused as she mumbled to herself unintelligibly. It had been three years but the woman seemed to have aged more like ten or fifteen. She also had complete amnesia and severe brain trauma that she never recovered from, reducing her to the point where she could no longer even function independently. It was the saddest thing that Valentina had ever seen, and she sometimes wondered whether or not she'd be doing her mother a kindness by putting her out of that misery, but inside of herself she knew that she'd never be able to.

So she took care of her mother in addition to assuming all of the responsibilities around the household like she'd been doing since Yuriko's disappearance, but it didn't last. More men with guns came knocking at their door only a few months later, only this time they had bigger guns, and they'd come to take someone away rather than bring them back. Valentina was in shock when her father summarily explained to her that she had to leave with these men and do as they told her, as it went against practically everything that she'd known up until then. The image of her steely-faced father with tears streaming down his cheeks would haunt her for ever.

Valentina ended up in the FSB headquarters, and - although it was never directly stated to her - she came to understand that her family's safety and well-being depended entirely upon her compliance. They ran all sorts of tests on her, had her speak with psychiatrists for hours on end, pumped her full of drugs and did god knows what else to her while she was under anesthetics until finally her powers manifested themselves. After that she was trained by both the FSB and Division. For the last nine years, Valentina has been used to do a bit of everything. Most often it was counter-terrorism, since she could easily disarm and apprehend even a madman with a bomb strapped to his chest, but not all of her tasks were so noble. She's pushed foreign dignitaries in order to advance Russian agendas, tracked down and captured others with special abilities like herself so that they could 'develop in a controlled environment rather than growing wild and dangerous', and she's been sent on more than her fair share of kill missions.

Something has shaken up the various Division agencies recently, and as part of their recent global alliance, Valentina has been loaned to the American branch for an as of yet undetermined amount of time.

► Personality
Adam is an easy going guy with a chip on his shoulder, constantly trying to escape the shadow of his father. When compared to his father, he tends to get a bit heated, on more than one occasion showing that his abilities are at least somewhat tied to his emotional state. ► History
Adam's story begins long before his birth, with the story of his father. The man the Division only called "Fox" was their cleaner, and one of the best they had. If they needed something to not be around any more, they would call in "Fox" to take care of it, whether it be assassination or the theft of large sums of cash from an enemy nation. He could get in and out before anyone realized he was there, because it took him no effort to enter. "Fox" was a porter and as long as he had a photo of where he wanted to be and the rough dimensions of the room, he could be there in moments.

The one weakness of the man the Division knew as "Fox" was his family life. They knew nothing of his wife or young son or the abusive nature of the man they trained to be their cleaner. As a side-effect of "Fox's" porting, he had developed a darker nature and became an abusive alcoholic to deal with the stresses of sending one's molecules to another location. It wasn't till it was discovered that the man had been stealing from the Division that he got a taste of his own medicine. One shot to the back of his head while he was asleep, in front of his terrified child.

Twenty years later and the boy grew up to run an in out of a warehouse. Adam struck a deal with the Division in order to keep his life separate from his past. In exchange for the Division not meddling in his affairs and letting him be, he wouldn't let the file his father had as an insurance policy out to the world and would allow their agents free stay at their bar. He knows the arrangement can't last forever, but he figures that he is a smaller issue for them to contend with.

► EXCESS INFORMATION
Adam is a rather interesting case for a porter, as he can not only teleport himself elsewhere, but he can teleport items to himself or elsewhere. This requires him to have intimate knowledge of the item in question, the location he is sending it to or taking it from, and something that ties the item to the location or himself, or both. He has yet to master porting human beings anything more than a few yards, and can only do so while in direct contact with them.

Adam also has a small fortune built up through unsavory methods, whether it be thievery, smuggling, or other unsavory methods.

► PERSONALITY

Felipe  is a ruthless and cunning "Business" man. While not inherently greedy , there is a certain lifestyle Felipe wants to live and he will do anything to sustain it.  He's somewhat trustworthy unless of course someone attempts to screw him over. He is also somewhat prone to violence. Mostly when interacting with any sort of authority.  He's a very dedicate firearm collector as well with a certain appreciation of submachine guns. Additionally , While a man of great Mister Garcia does not like discuss what he does for a living and is very secretive  about his   employment. What is known about his occupation is that he appears to work for some sort of massive Mexican Corporation  headquartered in  Sinaloa or Chiuahaha Mexico.



► STORY  Felipe Alfonso  Garcia's exact place of birth is unknown though it is most likely somewhere in Central America. From what a few (Recently deceased) people  have told a few investigate parties is that Mr.Garcia was born to an alpaca farmer and the daughter of a Torero. Interestingly , Unlike most of his  contemporaries   Mister Garcia did not come from an  impoverished  family as  his father was  an surprisingly   successful Alpaca Farmer. Several members of  the aforementioned investigate agencies   have summarized that  Felipe's current job is a way of him striking back at his father because as a teen Felipe's farther instilled the idea of hard work and dedication to him which Mr.Garcia has rebelled against due to belief that his father was out of touch with modem day society. This is theorized  by some as the reason for his immigration to America  in his late teens. Felipe's early twenties were marked by a massive income of wealth through unknown means while living in the lower part of Texas. Perhaps in an unrelated coincidence   , Mr.Garcia moved to  Manhattan  around the  same time the United States news media began to focus on  a string of unfortunate incidents in so-called border towns. While Felipe Alfonso Garcia does currently reside in Manhattan , he has been known to take the occasional vacation (Around one every six months) to Mexico to meet with his employers.
Other then that Mr.Garcia's life is not unlike that of the average 28 year old male with a seemingly endless supply  of money and a large entourage  of armed security personnel. He enjoys  going clubbing , fast cars and his pet kangaroo "El Guapo."
