Babylon AD themed rp (UN)

ive just finished watching Babylon AD, and wouldnt mind playing something set in that time, a similar mission.

Im thinking that i would be a female former military contractor, skilled, but temporarily out of work, or between jobs, holed up somewhere.

Perhaps im contacted and asked to escort a billionares son or daughter back home after theyre sprung from a prison, or from  a mercenaries camp.The journey could be long and dangerous, so im contacted by a third party and offered 2 million and a passport to do it.

Its a new idea. i dont know if it will appeal to anyone, but, im putting it out there, and seeing if i get any bites.

It sounds very interesting. There could be various start scenes based on how the contract comes to be. Also by that deciding how the (in my case) son would have come into the situation of needing such a evacuation.

The movie was set in the former eastern europe, does that setting still work. As to why he needs to be protected so, perhaps he was on a private plane that was brought down.Perhaps he managed to escape from his captors on his own, but is hiding out and managed to contact you.

I like the ideas that you came up with. The downed airplane could also add a problem, as the "package" is hurt and not so ideal to make a run for the US. As I see it I would at the beginning be the contractor hiring you, and eventually switch to the person that has to be protected.
For the setting, yes it works perfect as i have seen Babylon A.D. too.

i have done some more thinking.As to the package, perhaps he wasnt supposed to be in the former europe in the first place, or was supposed to bring back some cure or something else valuable, but was caught, but not before injecting or hiding it inside his body somehow.You would have hired forces to break him out, and they did, but they were killed when they deviated and tried to pull another job, leaving the 'package', alone and unprotected.

Thus im contacted, not easily, as im not easily found, or motivated to do the right thing.Like Toorop, i would have seen how the world is, and doing the right thing isnt always the right thing,yet, for 2 mil and a us passport to return to my country of origin, im talked into doing it.

If you start as the contractor, that works for me. I might even buy babylon A.D, i liked it that much.

Yes it is a very cool movie. It may sound bad but a typical Vin Diesel movie.
The idea with the cure would cause the situation to be under intense pressure. Maybe we should start to work a bit on the character details to see where we end up. My character details would be known to yours at the point you accept the contract, to give you an overview of what you have to protect.

ok, so maybe no cure, just someone that i have to get out of the old europe and to the New York of the future. I will be offline for a week as of tomorrow, as im movig house,and the phone number isnt reconnected until the 13th.

Vin Diesel is like a lot of other well built actors, he has to be carefull to pick the right movies, and this was one of his good ones i think.

Welcome to the moving people. I will be gone from sunday till possibly Thursday or Friday next week. There is already a internet connection available but i need lo gin allowance and so on.

OK, I am back. Moving in and so on all worked perfectly, and now I got my network access. It is the question who of us should start now I think.

Im back on as well.My own move went well, and i only lost one item in the move.

I can start if you like.I can set up my characters background and current location.

I have my big national geographic visual atlas of the world.Im thinking my character would be in Sarajevo, living there after finishing a bodyguard job,and laying low.

I would have been in Delta Force, one of their better ones, trained with other special forces personel since i helped to eliminate the rogue team that was operating and killing seemingly at will, causing chaos in the former eastern europe lower countries, taking out any leaders or politicians that worked towards goals that werent favourable to the us.

I would have helped protect people, as well as help them to safety, including refugees when they paid enough.Thats how i made contacts throughout certain areas of europe and russia.

if that works, i can start us off.
