Even thoigh the wosh granting entity might want to change, the corruption must go on. The mischievous  power that is 'mishears' your word and says, "Eruption? Stops? Well, sure but that's going to put a lot of pressure on things below." All volcanic eruptions stop and soon the ground litreally starts to boil in many places due to all the deactivated volcanos.
