Also Aurelie's char may had slain one or two orcs, but having 100 kills or so is too much :P. She may be part even the elite guard (a scout sort) who was send to call for help other kingdom but got captured by orcs and was spared and brought to front of the gates where she will be brutally abused to demoralize the troops who know her and her skills with sword.

So, nothing against female soldiers but not a super orc slayer kind :P.
RedEve has said she does not want female soldiers of any kind, its a traditional-based patriarchy. A woman who was a hunter would fit but a noblewoman would not really be such a person. Noblewomen in this setting make tapestries, play the harpsichord, host fine dinners and make noble babies.

A commoner who was well know as a trapper and fur trader with hunting and tracking skills would be a well-known character, perhaps very well-liked for her deeds helping farmers keep wolves and wild boar out of their fields.

Sigh... I just proposed a hunting noblewoman... I'm having a hard time getting a character accepted...

Sorry but I don't want to introduce a character who is not consistent with the universe as it has been presented so far.

I understand very well.

Anyway, my character has just been approved and its CS is now in the character thread. Ready to be introduced to the IC by whatever Orc who wants to demoralize the population by humiliating and torturing her.

RedEve

If she was captured outside of the city and a few days prior to them piercing the walls, then she would have been passed around quite a few Orcs already. Yikes!

Indeed, she will be in quite a pitiful state already.

Moon Hound Hati

She could possibly get caught trying to slip in via the Moorgate just as the orcs pass through the merchant and financial quarter on their way to the barricade on the east side? Unless, of course, that's been nailed shut already.

Actually, I assumed that she had already been caught, while she was roaming around their camp around the city. When it happened we can leave it vague and start the game as they bring her and expose her.

I'm going to wait upon that introductory post to play my character.

Moon Hound Hati

Yeah, I guess she could be brought to the front when its decided to give the royal guards some demoralization by having your character publicly defiled in front of them.

They may have kept her in a guarded tent or cage (and secured with rope and solid stocks inside of that place) to save her for the moment when they knew her degradation was going to have the most impact on the defenders. So that she would not have been quite thrashed and weakened by the time they were ready to rape and humiliate her.

It might be possible they had a few females from the fallen elf kingdom along to "entertain" the men as they marched towards the human city, so it's possible they had some slave cages with them to store her in for the time being.

I would love that, having her kept in good shape to be degraded right in front of her friends. Plus I have a fetish for cages and stocks...

Moon Hound Hati

Your profile image hinted at such. :P

I am interested in playing a sort of priesty Orc which I have made a photoshop image for.  However, I have never played a game in here yet, so I'm not sure you'd want a very green novice on the team.
Short stories for now.  Light posts.

I am returning slowly.

Yes, welcome! You have to start somewhere and the perverts in this game as as depraved as anywhere else so you may as well dive in.

RedEve is the GM and has final say but I don't know if an orc priest fits in this universe. They have no religion and are just killing machines, a huge army with no females and so they focus their energy on capturing and having sex with human women. There is no religion involved for them, a wizard created them out of corrupted elves about 6 years ago. So far we've been limited to soldiers, scouts/spies and warband leaders.

RedEve

An Orc priest does not fit into this universe.

Any regular combatant role for the Orcs is acceptable though.

Wait... I thought I was playing an orc priest. *Checks character sheet*

Aejlahael

I am also curious about this; I wanted to play an orc "specialist" that extensively used a variety of dabbled magical traditions, combined with sociopathy and tactics, to occomplish his goals.

Haibane

Unfortunately such a character would not fit. Think Uruk-Hai and that's about it. More-or-less mindless thugs.

Moon Hound Hati

Never will someone be able to ask an Orc, "are you a wizard?" and hear a truthfully answered "yes." D:

Er, an orc wizard was literally one of the first minor adversaries I saw encountered in a brief 2nd ed. D&D session in the eighties. The concept is older than several versions of D&D and several people on the board. It's actually cliche. Tolkien stopped being the sole inspiration for kitchen sink fantasy (if he ever was) in 1979 when players of D&D could find, and use, a raygun from a flying saucer.

That aside, I would like to know how the characters are, well, different? Orcs are used as bad guys because they're faceles, and orc who hits things is the same as every other. When I looked at the character page, the only one I could remember -- this happened right before I chimed in -- was the orc priest. The others all just sort of rolled into the same character. When orcs are NPCs, that's fine, they're faceless mooks, but here, is that bad?

Don't take it to heart, Aejhalael.  Several people had to rework their characters.  It's the GMs game, so their decision.  I believe the idea is to keep the orcs savage and monstrous and avoid the brainier variations found in games like Skyrim.  We also seem to be going for low magic here for the most part.

Personally, I think the people writing the orcs have done a good job keeping them distinct!  Every player has their own unique writing voice so they're bound to be different.

And welcome to Elliquiy ManofDawnLight.  You won't find many group games that'll turn you away just because you're new to the site.  The more active players, the better. : )

Indeed, we're always welcome to new players. :) In fact they often bring an enthusiasm that helps drive the game us oldies might be missing. :P
