Noticing a handful of fans here on E ^^ its easily one of my favourite shows. Adore Carl.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force (also known as ATHF) is an American animated television series shown on Cartoon Network as part of its Adult Swim late-night programming block, as well as Teletoon in Canada. It is one of three spin-offs of Adult Swim's. The Aqua Teens first made their appearance in an episode of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast entitled "Baffler Meal", where they looked and spoke very differently than they do today.ATHF is one of the four original Williams Street series that premiered on December 30, 2000 before Adult Swim officially debuted (the others were Sealab 2021, The Brak Show, and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law). ATHF is the longest running original series on the network.[2] In 2007, an ATHF movie, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, was released in 877 selected theaters throughout the United States. Another movie is planned for 2011, to be called Death Fighter.[3] The series has been cited as an example of postmodern humor.[4][5]

The show is about the adventures of three anthropomorphic fast food items and their next-door neighbor in suburban New Jersey. The original crime-solving premise of the show was abandoned early. (In "Robositter," when Shake refers to them being detectives, Frylock states that the Hunger Force "hasn't detected anything in three years.") The episodes usually involve the characters being visited by a wide variety of strange monsters, most of which are of little power or consequence. The show features surreal and often morbid humor. An initially structured plot is often abandoned as characters' actions take the story far afield. Little continuity exists between episodes: regularly appearing characters frequently die in an episode, only to appear alive and well in the next. Since its release, it has developed a cult following.

Plus, they introduced me to the best annerism ever for a used comdom. Coney Island White Fish! xD

By the way, I spent 10 days living with a bunch of pot heads, and ATHF was on loop. Literally, on loop... I've heard "Yah hell yes! Ve are barbecueing aren't ve not?" quoted so much its not even funny xD

I've always wondered what makes Shake so awesome... I think its how he lies under pressure. I mean, he's a chronic, but unconvincing liar, and he does it so effortlessly xD he just keeps digging himself deeper.

One episode ends with Carls head exploding in mid-conversation. Theres a pause. "Why would he do that?" "Why wouldn't he?" I think the head explosion was all that was in the script, and the dialogue was the teams reaction at the script reading.

I think one of my favorite Carl quotes is not from a show, but from a teaser:

I think that was the hardest I have ever laughed at any TV show, ever.   I love Master Shake.  He's such an unbelievable jerk, to the point where he will actually kill himself simply to f*ck with Meatwad's Ouija video game.

I think my favorite episode has to be the one where Frylock tricks Carl into using the Super Toilet 2000, then rebuilds him out of eyeballs:

Master Shake: [Frylock is about to revive Carl, whose body has been recreated from a mass of eyeballs] What a minute. Before you turn him on - do you think he'll be able to be able to see us?
Frylock: In ways you can only imagine.
Master Shake: But look, I mean - is he going to be able to chase us? 'Cause if I woke up lookin' like that, I would just run towards the nearest living thing and kill it.

A close second has to be the episode where the Plutonians are introduced (Welcome to...this horse's anus!):

Frylock: [on the Plutonian spaceship] Which one of these buttons beams me out of here?
Oglethorpe: Those buttons are red! YOU'LL DESTROY US ALL!
[Frylock presses a button and party music plays while balloons and confetti fall out of the ceiling]
Emory: Alright, party time.
Oglethorpe: Whose birthday is it? Someone gets a spanking!
[Frylock presses some more buttons until Master Shake beams in]
Master Shake: Hey! Happy birthday! Who's the lucky boy?
Frylock: SHAKE! How'd you get in this beam?

I think my favorite quote from this series is in the Super Trivia episode.  And yes, it's Carl.

Just saw the 100th episode special. Not that great, but Meatwads confusion over being cast as Scooby Doo was priceless.

Just saw the first episode of the sixth season (Rabbitbot redux).  I nearly lost it laughing to Carl's melancholy farewell:

"They truly were...an Aqua Teen Hunger Force."

That, I think, epitomizes the sublime surreality that ATHF is.  You have to love a show which abandons its premise after the first fucking episode, quickly takes a detour into the asinine and the absurd, sets up shop there, and refuses to leave.
