Kunoichi

What kind of Ranger, if you don't mind my asking? ^^;

Isengrad

Goiung with the hunter, since I get a free feat and a better version of the archer style.. I want to stay a ranged powerhouseand see if i can still do the RAB spam.. if not once again a hybrid or multiclassed(still seems strange on that one) ranger/seeker can still be a very effective long range fighter but im gonna stay away from the hybrid one most likly

Hope I'm not too late for this! Here is my sheet, and here is a smexy picture XD

Nothing but a rough history up at the moment; will expand on it later.

Robyn Hood

This sounds actually quite fun, but sadly I've never played this system. Have fun :)

Thought Iyx would have the defender coverd, she was making both a fighter and a paladin.. just havent heard much from her.. But im building up a ranger now just incase

What exactly did you expect me to tell you? I'm making a paladin and a fighter, and haven't decided between the two.  There's no reason for anyone to hold up creation for that decision.

And a Ranger isn't a defender, it's a striker.  So, you're making a Ranger "just in case" what?

easy now, wasn't trying to be confrontational. I know its a striker.. Its an option i wanted to explore.

I know a lot about 4th ed, so if you have any questions feel free to ask..just want to be helpful

edit: in case we feel we need a more dedicated striker, sorry.. sometimes I don't complete my thoughts.

To clarify, Damian acts a lot like a striker who happens to be his own defender.  The goal is to beat on enemies pretty hard, and to ensure that those enemies are penalized both for attacking him, and for attacking anyone else.  It's not really overpowered IMHO, but it is deeply sadistic.  If we have another tiefling in the party (judging by The Alchemist's photo) I'll likely build him as a human.

It's still really sketchy, though.

Yes, I'm being a tiefling artificer. Something tells me that the group might need a good supply of healing, just in case ;)

Well, here's a human version.

We won't just need healing, we'll probably need someone with a cranked-up Heal skill.  I get this feeling like we might run into the Disease mechanics, and those are just nasty.

hmmm, were gonna need someone that can disarm traps... either a rouge or someone trained in dungeonering with the right feat.

NotoriusBEN

thievery and perception are the staples of trap disarming in 4e.

dungeoneering is more survival in underground environments.

of course, traps can take on many other skills in order to disarm them, as well.

NotoriusBEN

also... newest update for character sheets...

Isengrad...................Rolan d'Mendani....Elf Seeker
WyzardWhately........Damien...................Human Paladin/warlock
Kunoichi....................Lu Lushe...............Goliath Warlord
Ironwolf85................warforged
Ixy............................fighter or paladin
Chloe Milev...............Deva Psion
The Alchemist...........Kairon.....................Tiefling Artificer

Isengrad

very true, but thier is a feat selection that allows you to use dungeoniring in place of thievery for disarming traps, I actually put it on a ranger i made.

I guess we'll just have to see what everyone turns in, and tinker from there.

A rogue is the classic trap defuser, true, but high Dexterity and training in Thievery will turn anyone into an expert! If you don't have Thievery as a class skill, you can try taking a background that allows you to make it one.

I recommend backgrounds at any rate, they're often quite helpful in putting together a backstory for your character.

NotoriusBEN

while we are on the topic of backgrounds,

make sure to mention which one you pick, since I've noticed orokos adds the bonus, but doesnt say which background granted it.

Merchant Prince.  Damian has pretty damned decent Insight.

I only went with the one background for this character, so it shouldn't be too hard to guess!

NotoriusBEN

yes... only 1 background... no stacking +10 skills... :P

Isengrad

you only get the benefit from the first one anyway

Well, that totally ruins my plan to start out with substantial bonuses to every skill, more hit points, extra death saves, and several extra starting languages.

First complete draft of a paladin, sans history writeup and personality traits/description.  http://4e.orokos.com/sheets/2330
Probably will re-try as a human, but we'll see.  Suggestions are appreciated-- particularly with powers.
