Celestial Goblin

It's a nice game, world of darkness given a facelift, bit more mature in some aspects, bit more mysterious and vague. Surely something worth trying at Elliquiy, as it's the very definition of an adult-themed game, as well as full of variety for everyone. I'm not sure about if i want to run a game myself, not i don't have a particular idea where to start. Please add ideas if you have, maybe somebody would even want to GM?

ZK

In fact, odd as it is. I was going to post a few nWoD games on Elliquiy as it was. One under normal game as a zombie survival game and the other as a multi-venue game. ^_^

Elvi

EEEEEEEK!
Did someone mention zombies?
*Runs off to hide Strangely's eyes.......*

ZK

Well, it'll give people a break from all the sex and it'll fill a place on the normal game's section. For once someone wants to bite you...and it isn't pleasent! Eeek.

epppppppp , *runs and hides under the duvet*...........take them away Elvi.......

Celestial Goblin

Yeah, zombies is what i wanted to do for some time, i thought about rpg.net, but even better to have it here. It's gonna be an all-mortal game?

Elvi

LOL but I bet he'll play.....

*rubs his back soothingly*

Strangely has a phobia about zombies, guess what his favourite horror films are?

Elvi

Yep all the 'living dead' ones.
He lays there under a blanket with the lights off watching them......It's fun when I can sneak in and suprise him.....*sniggers*

No it's not  :P and yes I'd love to play .

Celestial Goblin

Oh my, that's the the pinnacle of cuteness. Always make sure you're completely wrapped in the blanket, strangely. One uncovered bit of limb is enough to drag you out. Keep safe.

Awww shucks Mister , your making me blush ...................look ---------->   :-[

So are they going to be fast zombies like the Dawn of the Dead remake or the fun slower zombies in the classic Romero films like Land of the Dead?

ZK

Yes, it'll be a zombie game where everyone plays as mortals. It's set apart from the nWoD but uses it's rules and general creepiness in setting. I don't want to tangle Kindred, Uratha and Awakened in this survival horror. Just mortals. I am only hinting that there will be more then the simple lumbering undead.

Lumbering undead... Heh, i've just statted a lumberjack character as a test.
Not sure if i'll play him, but a lumberjack, as movies show us, is the ultimate survivor.
Axe, chainsaw, shotgun he keeps in his cottage, built like a brickhouse, knows his way trough the woods, knows how to do simple repairs, good at working with wood (barricades from furniture)...
(cue the lumberjacks song from Monthy Python)
Mmm, yes, what was i saying?
I'm just reading trough the nwod corebook, and i have adversaries too. I'll probably be experimenting with making chars, is a larger-than-life twin katana and trenchcoat twinky munchkin a possibility? Or just *normal* average humans?

Elvi

WHAT?
He wishes he was a girly just like dear Papa???

ZK

I'm not allowing munchkinism at all. Pull out those twin katanas and I'll have a thousand undead focusing soly on you. I want normal people.

Like for example, Resident Evil: Outbreak series. Those kind of normal people. Not some sort of ninja-samurai pirate that knows Gun-kata.

All right, the other character sheet will remain my guilty two-machette secret. I could actually make somebody who's completely normal and has no survival skills at all. Hmm, i'll try it.

ZK

You can take some survival skills and whatnaught. But nothing completely over-board.

And anyway, on a survival game. You're surely going to learn at least Weaponry, Firearms and Survival.

Could I play a family physician, you know a normal doctor- maybe that served in the military to pay for college so could at least use a rifle and other basic weapons? Not a super soldier just a basic one with a simple specialty. So would have basic combat skills (Boot Camp), one specialty that makes sense for a woman and then medical school with a local practice. That would be sensible not too great in a fight but not bad and maybe some hands-on-skill and good medical skills but not a specialist (might take if I go for one Family Medicine so she could treat all ages and have a good knowledge of treating lots of conditions but surgery would be kind of simple so no heart transplants here lol). I think thats pretty normal. Many poorer young people do an army stint for college help after all.

I don't have the rules will you help set up characters?

The main corebook is a free download if you register (for free too) at either drivetrough rpg or something like that. If you want, i have a pdf myself.
I'm now considering a wandering hippy.
Hmm...

Elvi

His lordhsip is looking at the site you pointed out for the rules, but he's not sure what he's looking for, what game is it?
