How do I lock a post so no one can post?

Only moderators of the forums are able to do so.
Unless you have the rights to lock a post, you cannot lock one yourself.

Kaia

That's incorrect, I've done it before.

I don't think that's entirely true. I think members are able to lock threads they started. (I never did before I was a staffer, so I don't know for sure.)

ETA: As for how, there ought to be a little padlock icon you can click on.

Kaia

Thanks Avis.  I just want to lock my A/A so that when I return I can delete the post without an issue.  I cannot remember how to do it though.

hmm, normally it is in the bottom part of the topic where you can select an option to lock it. As an unapproved I don't have that option.

Avis habilis

If you're viewing the thread, there's a "Lock Topic" link at the bottom of the page; if you're looking at a list of threads, there should be the padlock icon.

Kaia

Hmm, not seeing it for some reason, even though I know I've done it before.  Is there any way you can do it for me?

Avis habilis

Sure. Is it on page 1 of the A/As, or can you send me a link?

Never mind. Found & locked.

Kaia

it is...also in my siggy.  Where has Kaia disappeared to?

Sorry, I've got avatars & sigs turned off. Anyway, done now.

Any time. Let me or any other S- or G-level know when you're back & it can be unlocked.

Thank you for your help, DutchSpawn.  Each forum has it's own design and it's own rules.  There are many things about Elliquiy that aren't apparent to you at the moment but will be added to your user group if you are approved.

Again, thank you and enjoy your time with us.  Good luck with your approval.

Thank you Beguile's Mistress :)
I am looking forward to get a chance on becoming a full member.
