The publishers 'Random House' have set up their own ebook library - the first book of a selection of series are free to download.

And of course, if you want classics and don't mind plain text, the place to be is Project Gutenberg.

Literally thousands of classics, several obscure works, all published before 1923 (when copyright laws were implemented).

and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.

Thanks I've not got the budget to get new books and this is what the sad, can't-read English major needs.
If you're searching the lines for a point, well you've probably missed it; there was never anything there in the first place.

Here's another.

I've only just started to explore it, but the array is fairly dizzying - lots of titles in Spanish and Portuguese as well, and all in PDF and various e-reader formats.

All Romance Books has a large section of free reads (sorry for the thread resurrection, I just wanted to keep all the freebies in one place)
