Play the hand of fate...

           Introduction
I've wanted to set up a RWBY game for the longest time now. After a little brooding and planning, the time has come. If you entered this thread and have no idea what RWBY is, I urge you to go watch it on the roosterteeth website. It's a short webseries set in a modern fantasy setting, featuring some over the top action as has long become the trademark of its creator, Monty Oum.

I've seen larger group games come and go; been part of several too. However, what I've come to realize is that the big group format is something too ambitious for nine out of ten games here on E. Players lose interest, players are flaky, players drop out. Often they drop out because one or two people slow down the pace of the game due to unannounced absence or the general lack of balls to inform the GM and the players their character was interacting with that they've dropped out.

As such, I'm looking for only a few, dedicated players. Myself included, I'd ideally like to have the size of this group max out at four players. If you think you can't post at least once a week, that you've got too many real life issues to deal with right now or are going to be swamped with work soon, I'd urge you not to apply to this game. I don't want this to die due to people getting in over their heads and later realizing “Oh shit… I can't commit to this game after all.” I don't mind if something suddenly comes up for a bit and you have to deal with it for a week, but I'd rather not have people who might suddenly become to pre-occupied to post at least once a week to join, as I feel it's unfair towards the other participants.

Please note that this is not a first come, first serve type of game. I'm going to be very selective as to whom will be making the cut, but at the same you don't have to shy away from applying if three others already have done so before you. Unless I've clearly stated they and their character have been approved, you can freely apply for a slot. Ideally, we're looking for female characters right now to balance the team's gender ratio. While it is not a must, female characters are more likely to be chosen over males right now, lest the quality of the character sheet and the player be so far above the rest that it doesn't matter.

           The story
In the kingdom of Legacy, across the sea from Remnant, tension between the human and faunus populations has nearly reached its breaking point after a group of faunus extremists attempted to assassinate the heir to the crown, a young woman named Celestia Ryse. Riots and public discrimination are on the rise, from both factions, and an all out civil wars could become a reality with each passing day.

During a mission to dispatch some irregular Grimm that have swarmed a small seaside village, a team of Hunters and Huntresses, dubbed team World (WRLD) during their days in school, come across a set of clues that will set them on the path to uncover the truth behind the attempt on the crown princess' life. Their journey will reveal to them the true darkness that looms over Legacy, waiting to swallow it whole.

Now they must fight. Now they must survive. Now their bonds will be truly tested.

           Game System
I'm not the biggest fan of detailed system with elaborate spreadsheets and whatnot. As such, this game is mostly freeform. I say mostly because there might be the occasional dice roll for certain fights the characters will engage in. I will also lay out key events for the characters to engage in and drive the plot forward. This will be a very story-driven game, but there will be some breaks in-between where characters can relax a bit. Don't expect too many of those though, as I've found they can easily kill the drive of players, since it can get boring very fast.

           General Notes

  • When picking an image for your character, I'd like to advice picking something with a transparent or neutral (like white) background. That way I can add your character to the silhouette logo up at the top of the OP.
  • In case you were too lazy to properly read through the above part, we're primairily looking for FEMALE characters right now to balance the gender ratio in the team.
  • In case you were too lazy to properly read through the above part, I'm selecting submitted characters based on quality and general impression of their players (ie past posting quality and how regularly you post).

Name: As it's team WRLD, the first name should start with one of those of those letters. L is already spoken for, so that leaves W, R and D.
Nickname(s):
Race: Human or Faunus; no halfbreeds, please.
Age: Preferably around 25 years of age, maybe one year younger or older, at most. All four characters have been teammates since school, after all, but they've graduated years ago and are have several years of experience under their belts.

Personality: A brief summary to get a basic idea; doesn't need to be 100% accurate.

Backstory: Where do they come from? What is their story?

Weapon: The weapons of various characters in RWBY are used to fight enemies and monsters throughout Remnant. Most often, they are based on real weapons, but are given additional features to increase their versatility and effectiveness in combat.

Semblance: Semblance is the manifestation of one's innate and personal power as an ability unique to each individual, with the effects varying greatly from user to user. However, a person's Semblance can be similar to the Semblances of their parents. Examples are speed, the ability to generate Glyphs, clone generation, and polarity (magnetism).

#1
Accepted Characters

    Name: Warren Phrynosoma
Nickname(s): -
Race: Horned Lizard Faunus
Age: 25

Personality: Warren is very much the calm and composed type of person. Generally he acts pretty laid back, but works hard when he needs to. Though lacking the assertiveness and charisma of a leader, he is a strong teamplayer and someone you can rely on as a friend and ally. He silently disapproved the discrimination his species often faces from humans due to the history between them and the faunus. It's about the only thing that really gets him angry.

Backstory: Warren hails from a small village surrounding an oasis in the eastern desert of Legacy. More than half of its inhabitants were faunus, but unlike a lot of other places in the country and the world, the humans and faunus in the village got along fine with each other, having learned generations ago to rely on oneanother to survive in the unrelenting desert. Due to the fact that the village was so far out of the way it often took too long for hunters and huntresses to make the trip in order to dispose of any Grimm causing trouble for the town. As such it had become tradition that the strongest children of the village would be sent to combat schools of Legacy in order to become Hunters and Huntresses that could protect the village.

One such child had been Warren. Leaving his home at a young age, he first attended Sign Academy. It was here that he first encountered the issues that brewed between the human and faunus races. Some of the other students would taunt, bully and discriminate each other based on their race when the teachers weren't looking. Even though he was a quiet type of teenager, Warren came in-between the two parties more than once, usually forcing them apart with a little display of force or just a flash of the evil eye.

After graduating, he went on to Symbol Academy, where he would train to become a fullfledged Hunter. It was here that he met kindred spirit in the rest of his team; honest humans that he could rely on and fight beside. They had many adventures together and stuck together even after completing their training there. Now, years later, he travels with the rest of team WRLD (world), fighting dangerous Grimm all around Legacy, though his friends know that, one day, he will have to return to his hometown to become one of its protectors...

Weapon: Devil's Claws     a twin pair of single-edged short swords. At first glance it would appear as if the blades have a double set of handles, but the white one is actually a handguard designed to keep his hands save and allow him to use the full length of his weapons to ward off enemy attacks, intended to compensate for their short striking range. The swords can be attached to each other at the handles, turning a pair of swords into a shortbow.

Semblance: Warren possesses the semblance of skin cell manipulation. He has the ability to strengthen his skin cells immensely, allowing him to absorb attacks and thus minimize or even nullify damage from attacks that would have otherwise hurt him. This makes him a strong frontline bruiser. A sort of sub-power of his semblance, in combination with his heritage as horned lizard faunus, is the ability for Warren to easily and painlessly pull off the horns that grow out of his shoulders. They are as strong as steel and he uses them as arrows for his shortbow. Due to his cell manipulation semblance the horns grow back almost instantly after he has pulled them out, much in the same way a lizard can shed its tail in danger and regrow it, but many times faster.

Sexual ons: Oral, vaginal, anal (giving), sex outdoors, sex in very warm places, kissing, caressing.
Sexual offs: Scat and other extreme things.

Other: Optional

    Name: Reyna Sinclaire
Nickname(s): Rey or Sin, shortened versions of her first and last name
Race: Human
Age: 25

Personality: Reyna can be a little extreme when it comes to her emotions. While she won't exactly bite your head off verbally (promise! -crosses fingers-), she does come across as a little harsh and blunt. Around her friends she is usually a lot calmer and kinder, their own energies helping to balance out her tumultuous own. When Reyna spends time with herself, she likes taking long walks to nowhere, where she can sit and get lost in a good book, heading off to the beach to swim in the ocean, or get a good game of volleyball going.

Backstory: Reyna is just another citizen of the Kingdom of Legacy, loyal to her Queen and the Crown. Or so she says, having never once been to the capital and instead growing up in a small fishery amid her aging father, ailing mother, and useless dog. Having no siblings made for a pretty dull life and her kids that she grew up with were not very nice to her, making fun of her for not being much of a social butterfly or a team player. Still what friends she had managed to make she cherishes, even if they do sort of grind on her nerves.

Reyna has so far had two tragedies happen to her within her short life. The first was the night her mother passed away, finally succumbing to the sickness she fought throughout the first nine years of her young daughter's life. Needless to say, her father was devastated at the loss of his wife, and has stopped working at the fishery altogether. Since her untimely and rather unfortunate death, Reyna had taken on the majority of work at her father's fishery. Two years after she had taken on the lion's share of running her father's fishery, he too succumbed to death by heart ache, unable to continue on without the love of his life. Now orphaned and without a clue as to what she was going to do next, Reyna decided the next best thing was to enroll in Sign Academy. Selling her father's business, Reyna packed up her belongings and left behind the life she once knew, moving to a neighboring village to live with her father's sister, Marlene.

Reyna's Semblance showed in the first six months of training at the academy, during a practice match with another hopeful. Broken, bruised and bloodied, something just... clicked, and she was able to 'see' each move her opponent had made and was able to adapt it to her own fighting style. She found she was able to see her opponents for what they were, their tactics and fighting styles--which her body involuntarily adapted and turned into something all of her own. Her Combat Instructor saw this for the gift it truly was and penned a letter of recommendation to Symbol Academy, where she would further her training as a Huntress.

Weapon: Silent Screamer is a halberd/automatic rifle that is as tall as she is long. The shaft of the pole arm is blue violet, lacquered then finished with illustrations of delicate bright azure feathers down to its rounded heavy alloy pommel. The blade is a foot and a half long and half as wide. Just like many weapons of its kind, Dust was used in its forging, crystalline shards were used as well as the power in order to smelt the necessary properties the metal needed for the weapon. Due to the process, the blade is light enough to swing around for quick and precise strikes, yet still sturdy enough to be quickly snapped and refolded into its rifle module. The rifle itself is a little more compact, forming a little over three and a half feet from barrel to stock. The barrel is large enough to hold a 7.62x54mm slug, not a very popular choice among the gun nuts around, who tend to prefer their munitions larger in size. The magazine maxes out at 16 bullets, 17 in the chamber before it needs to be expelled and reloaded. Reyna keeps both normal and dust filled rounds in various pouches on her persons. While capable of using the pole arm as a rifle, Reyna prefers to switch seamlessly between the two rather than cause a miss fire due to bad footing or an ill-timed attack.

Semblance: Eidetic tactical memory; Customized fighting style: Reyna has been gifted with a brilliant memory that can recall any move or skill that an opponent has used on her in the past. Due to instantly being able to recall every kick and punch, Reyna has begun to form a fighting style based off of the sum of these skills mixed in with her own natural abilities as a fighter. It makes for her fighting technique to be highly confusing and erratic, yet before one knows it, then are looking up at the sky from the ground.

Sexual ons: romance, foreplay, spanking, biting, hair pulling
Sexual offs: water sports, scat, vore, snuff, necrophilia, incest

Other:-
Everyday Wear
Reyna is a bit of an obsessive nut when it comes to certain articles of clothing. Don't ask her the reason why she wears baggy pants, a belt wide wide loops, or what she dubs "combat corsets". She also dons a pair of long leather gloves and sturdy combat boots to complete the look. While not adverse to changing it up every so often, Reyna can be found most times wearing this same configuration in only a few different, cooler toned colors.

    Name: Leasick Valshanner
Nickname(s): The Reckless Fist
Race: Human
Age: 25

Personality: Stouthearted and earnest, Leasick was raised with a strong sense of right and wrong. He detests things such as cruelty, elitism, discrimination and racism; always striving to judge an individual by their actions, not their heritage. With a good head on his shoulders, he's always been quite charismatic and friendly, making him a natural leader and social focus point from an early age on. Despite his appearance he can be quite innocent at times, but this can also make him quite stubborn and unrelenting in certain situations. The loss of his left arm is still a sore point for him.

Backstory: Much like the Schnee family has been a cornerstone of the Dust production and supply industry for generations, so too is the Valshanner family of equal importance and power when it comes to the latest in the field of weaponry and armor, capable of supplying whole countries and organizations with the means to defend themselves and their allies. This, of course, also means that they produce the custom weapons and armor parts the Grimm slaying Hunters and Huntresses use.

Born the first child and son of Thoridan, the current head of the family and the president of Valshanner Industries, Leasick was meant to assume his father's position one day. This, however, all changed one faithful day during the boy's childhood. Gifted with a naturally strong aura, his semblance manifested earlier than expected     with disastrous results. Unable to control the gravity anomaly that he could produce, it threatened to consume the boy whole, to tear him apart inside its gravitational field. It was only at the last moment that his uncle, a renowned Hunter by the name of Lokisander, managed to save him     well, most of him. Forced to choose between saving most of the boy or not at all, Lokisander had to sever the lower half of Leasick's left arm, which had already been pulled into the field.

After recovering from the shock and injury, as well as a long and very heated debate between two certain brothers, it was decided that Leasick would start living with his uncle and his family out in the rural countryside of Legacy for the time being and be pulled out of school. Lokisander personally trained his nephew over the course of the next few months, teaching him to control his semblance through strengthening of both the body and mind.

During this time Thoridan worked hard to create a state of the art prosthesis for his eldest child, pouring a lot of his own money into hiring experts that could help create an artificial arm for his son. The first prototype was completed just before summer's end, but the special subdivision would continue to exist for the sole purpose of improving the arm until this very day.

Once summer had ended, Leasick was enrolled, along with his eldest cousin, who was the same age, at Sign Academy, where they would receive combat training. After graduating at the age of seventeen, both of them aspired to becoming Hunter and Huntress, and thus applied for enrollment at Symbol Academy. This meant that Leasick had more or less rejected his place as first heir to his father's seat of power, but it had been just a formality at that point. After conveying his feelings to his father, that his semblance would forever be both a blessing and a curse, it was decided upon that Leasick's two year younger sister would instead be groomed as the primairy heir to Thoridan's seat of power.

During his first year at Symbol, Leasick discovered that he actually had a second semblance. It was a one in two hundred million chance that someone with more than a single semblance was born, according to the doctors and scientists who came to perform and conducts some tests with him. His second semblance was one of fire. Using red Dust as fuel, Leasick could produce and control jets of fire. This gave the prosthesis division something new to work on, producing a new arm for Leasick that came equipped with a Dust injection system, allowing him to use his newly acquired fire semblance without the need for an extra weapon.

Appointed the leader of team WRLD (World), he strove to always do his best and support friends and allies however he could. The bonds created during their time together at the academy are irreplaceable to him and his main motivation behind keeping the team together even after graduation. Now they work together as one of Legacy's most promising young hunter teams in the field. The nickname Reckless Fist is something that stuck due to the fact that, on several occasions, Leasick has managed to destroy his artificial arm in fights with particularly tough opponents.

Weapons:

  • Event Horizon     A blade produced by Valshanner Industries, made of a light but sturdy metal that can withstand both great heat and pressure, making it a perfect fit for a hunter who can produce both fire and a gravity singularity. The handle and center of gravity are designed to support Leasick's juggler style of combat, allowing him to easily flip the blade between regular and reverse grips, allowing him to weave attacks more easily and effectively
  • Dante the Fifth     Leasick's prosthetic arm. The armor covers his arm all the way up the shoulder and is made of the same metal as his sword, giving it the same resistance to fire and extreme pressure. Just below the elbow, where it's attached to the rest of his arm, is the Dust injection system, allowing him to produce and control fire. When using his fire semblance, the red, blade-shaped extension can pop outward, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. This allows Leasick to weave deadly fire attacks into his fighting style.

Semblance: Leasick is that one in two hundred million that is born with two semblances instead of one. Even though he has two, he can only use one at a time, as using both drains his aura rapidly and leaves him physically fatigued quickly, effectively crippling him in combat and possibly creating lasting health issues.

  • Semblance of Gravity Control     A rare and potentially deadly semblance that allows the user to create a black, orb-shape gravity anomaly (IE a black hole) with a diameter of about five feet. Leasick can freely manipulate the gravity field the orb generates, allowing him to pull and repell objects and people     even himself. He can, for example, pull and trap an enemy inside the orb and then repeatedly slinglot himself around the orb to inflict a barage of attacks with his blade, Event Horizon.
  • Semblance of Fire Creation and Manipulation    A type of fire generation and manipulation using red Dust. The fire does not burn the user and, when generated, can be manipulated to some degree, allowing Leasick to use it with precision at close to mid range in combat. While not as strong as those of some other fire semblance users, he can effectively weave fire into his regular attacks to pressure his opponents more.

Sexual ons: Oral, vaginal, anal (giving), sex in the shower, sex outdoors, kissing, caressing, women in long socks and stockings.
Sexual offs: Scat and other extreme things.

    Name: Dynah Celeste Westbridge-La Marchette
Nickname(s):
Race: Human
Age: 25

Personality: Dynah has something of a too high opinion of herself, between her actual skills and the fact that she's been pampered her whole like. Dynah's very high opinion of herself discourages many from trying to get close to her. And her expectations of the kind of person she considers worthy of her respect have ensured that those that weren't discouraged didn't get particularly far. Whatever the circumstances, this means she doesn't have many friends. Those that do meet her expectations, however, earn her deep loyalty.

Backstory: Dynah is the only daughter of the Earl Kelvin of Westbridge and the Countess Alienor of Marchette. Raised as a child of privilege, she became somewhat spoiled. This is turn was made far worse when she showed a particular aptitude for fencing, becoming known as the best     partly due to superior aptitude, partly due to the best trainers money and station can buy, and partly due to the supernatural characteristics of the weapon she wields     a weapon she played with at the age where other young girls would be content with tea sets and teddy bears. And developing into a beautiful woman, attracting the notice and attentions of many men (and more than a few women too) didn't help either. Leaving her extravagant home cluttered with presents from would-be suitors, she now attends Symbol Academy, splitting her time between school activities, generally looking down at people, and gallivanting as something of a knightess-errant with a rapier sharp sword and a wit to match.

Weapon: Angry Zephyr doesn't look like much     just a small rapier that maybe glints golden in the sun. In action, however, it moves preternaturally quickly, getting places that most swords would simply be unable to do. As it moves, it gives off something of a high-pitched whistling noise, and when the tone is high enough, it screams out, pushing anything ahead of it back with the force of a heavy explosive     effectively producing a sonic boom.

Semblance: Dynah's semblance is speed. When she gets going, she is impossible to track, and could be anywhere in the vicinity in mere seconds.

Sexual ons: Dynah's standoffish and arrogant attitudes towards  goes doubly so for romantic and sexual affairs. Dynah is all too aware of her appearance and is not above wearing something skimpy or going heavy on the double-entendres, though she very much sports a "look, but don't touch" attitude. More specifically, if someone expects to get into her bed, he (or she) should be prepared to prove his (or her) mettle first. And keep in mind that he would be the first.

To add insult to injury, in some sense, Dynah does have a man in her life     her Scottish terrier Alessandro. Having rescued him as a puppy, she dotes on him with an almost nauseating affection. She showers him in cuddles and kisses, speaks to him in the cooing voice that parents use with young children, provides him with every canine luxury imaginable, and even takes him in with her to the bath. While Alessandro is an angel in the presence of his owner, he is otherwise an unholy terror, leaving a trail of buried valuables, chewed garments, soiled boot soles, bare patches in lawns, and half-terrier hybrid puppies in his wake.

That being said, Dynah does want to be won over. Given the right circumstances and the right man or woman, she would love to see where something would lead and given some of her fantasies, could be quite wild.

Sexual offs: Bathroom materials, other extremes. And of course, she wants to be treated with respect.

Other: In short, Dynah has the skills to be an asset to any team. But her arrogance and lack of teamwork skills make working with her a living Hell.
Lingerie is like wrapping paper for the best present in the world     the female body.

Rajah

    Name: Ramadh di Kaziklu
Race: Faunus (bat)
Age: 25

Personality: Ramadh is polite, intelligent, and curious without being improper; these traits and their attendant refinements have been carefully cultivated over a lifetime of recognizing how swiftly and cruelly human prejudice can crush an unprepared faunus. Beneath the mask, there is an oceanic wellspring of cold, dark rage just seething for an outlet. So long as he keeps control, he's perfectly pleasant to be around, with a friendly nature and a good sense of humor (though markedly irreverent). While he's long ago learned that individual humans are people just the same as faunus, his hatred of the race runs deep, almost to a spiritual degree, eclipsed only by his longing to find the mad Priest and extract some barest scraping of the debt to the faunus his "revolution" incurred. He socializes just fine with humans and forms human friendships, but there's an icy barrier that seals away his heart of hearts from true, unfettered compassion; thus, his relationship to team WRLD's human members has a vague professionalism about it, a slight but tangible distance kept. His history and origin is no secret to anyone with an interest and an afternoon's use of Legacy's archives, and Ramadh hopes this will deter any awkward overtures between bouts of hunting and slaying the creatures of Grimm.

Backstory: Ramadh was born to the nobility among a tribe of faunus who had existed loosely within Legacy's borders for generations more-or-less unmolested (by Legacy as a whole), largely because their territory - a vast mountain surrounded entirely by deserts - made for a miserable staging grounds, and the land was unfit for comfortable human habitation in any case. Despite these disincentives, border skirmishes were not uncommon; several trade routes ran through the mountain's shadow, and unpleasantness abounded. To hear Ramadh's people tell it, the humans enjoyed using the mechanized weapons platforms that accompanied their caravans to take potshots at innocent faunus and considered injuring or killing to be nothing more than notches in their belts; the official kingdom brochure for the area advises a long history of raiding and piracy against which precaution must be taken. Neither side was particularly correct, but everything changed when a charismatic priest among the faunus came to power. Influencing, subverting, and within a few years nearly deposing the three noble families (Ramadh's among them) in favor of a primitive theocracy, the Priest was full of passionate speeches on the harmonious beauty of faunus and the imbalanced madness of mankind, full of grand ideas for showcasing the greatness of their race...to make a long and messy story of politics and demagoguery short, he declared they would build a great monument into the face of the mountain to celebrate their independence.

This was an affront the kingdom could not allow to pass by unchallenged; diplomacy fell apart more or less immediately when the human messengers didn't return and rumors of that most abhorrent and antiquated practice of the faunus, the consumption of human blood and flesh, reached the edge of the desert. Ramadh was ten when he and his people were reminded why the faunus rely on guerilla tactics and their natural mobility in war; fortified and deep as the mountain ran, it was no match for Legacy's full arsenal. The Plateau of Calm, as it is now called, signaled the end of overt faunus efforts towards independence with a loss of life numbering in the thousands...until the present day, at least.

Ramadh was kidnapped during the aftermath event officially denoted as a Standard Occupation Security Procedure; he has never forgotten the unofficial designation he was given by Legacy knights, "vermin control," wherein most of his kind over the age of sixteen were simply asked to accept indentured status - for war crimes, of course, not their race - or be executed. Most were executed.

Ramadh was not, due to the hypocritical empathy of the unit that "adopted" him. Their clumsy attempts to re-educate and "civilize" him were horrifying to say the least, but it made him cognizant for the first time that humans and faunus had at least one thing in common: vulnerability to prejudice, misinformation, and deliberate propaganda. He never accepted for a heartbeat the genocide of his people, but he remembers clearly that the Priest preached more than pride and tolerance, that certain aspects of his culture did take a primal joy in "handling" the regular human incursions across their territory, and that at the end, yes, there were those who turned to the darkest of all feasts to demoralize their enemies and exult in their own power.

He kept his head down as well as he could, channeling his mixed emotions into a crystalline focus on Legacy's custom and law, and when he came of age was able to win independence from his legally-recognized "family" and successfully reclaim his surname and full citizenship, on the basis of certain privileges open to foreign dignitaries which technically had never been revoked in his case. With nowhere to go, he chose to become a Hunter and channel his latent rage into serving Legacy - human and faunus populations both.

Weapon: Carmilla is a tremendous Aura-powered shotgun-grip crossbow made of gleaming shadowchrome and with the usual single-arc bow replaced by five sweeping "wings" in a curious star pattern; the weapon entire is sculpted to resemble a disturbingly alien Gothic gargoyle. Carmilla's delicate system of pneumatic vents and clockwork loading mechanisms allow it to be fired one-handed and at semi-automatic rate, despite its size and weight. A trigger in the stock unleashes its Heartseeker function, its wings swinging forward and locking together to form a long, slender bayonet blade. The resultant weapon is caught somewhere between longsword and shortspear, suitable for flurrying slashes but specialized for killing thrusts, often accompanied by a bolt discharge. Carmilla's bolts can be automatically fitted with grappling lines by way of a small catch on the stock, and the unique design of its bolts allow a small Dust-generated spark to travel down such lines and unfold them into a whirling pentagram-spider spread of spikes designed to drive them securely into a targeted surface...or, you know, the other guy.

Semblance: Ramadh possess the Semblance of Thirst, allowing his touch to drink away his victim's Aura while restoring his own. This creates a death spiral effect in battle, as every exchange leaves an enemy increasingly vulnerable while ensuring that Ramadh's own use of magic and stamina have relatively little effect on his competence. This ability is at its most powerful skin-to-skin, but he can channel his Semblance through weapons or other objects; its offensive power remains constant, but its rate of return drops moderately for melee attacks, and dramatically when using Carmilla's bolts (about halfway between melee and ranged if the bolts are grappling-fitted). Grimm creatures are especially vulnerable to Ramadh's Semblance; lacking an Aura to drain, their corporeal forms take a terrible toll and often seem to rot, wither, or gradually disintegrate - although Ramadh gains no sustenance from such effects.

Mind if I mark interest here? I won't be able to post a sheet tonight, but I can get to work on one after I am done with things tomorrow.

I've been waiting for a good RWBY-based game for a while.

Edit: Changed my mind, going to withdraw interest. Thank you for making such a great rp however!

I'd like to put my interest but I'm not sure if any spots are left at this point.

Like I've stated in the OP, I'm selecting based on quality and general impression, not who submitted a sheet first. As long as I'm keeping this thread open anyone can submit a sheet for the open slot(s). If you submit a sheet a week in that is rich in detail and imagination, you'll have more chance to be selected than someone who submitted a very short sheet on day 1.

I'm assuming a picture for your character is yet to follow? In any case, I'll go through it with a fine comb at a later point, when more sheets have been submitted, but for now I don't see any major flaws.

AS A GENERAL NOTE: WHEN PICKING AN IMAGE FOR YOUR CHARACTER, PLEASE SELECT ONE WITH A TRANSPARENT OR NEUTRAL (LIKE WHITE) BACKGROUND. THAT WAY, IF YOU GET PICKED, I CAN ADD THAT CHARACTER TO THE SILHOUTTE IMAGE AT THE TOP OF THE OPENING POST.

I'll see if I can find one. If not I'll stitch one together...are we using the default background colors, by the way? "Ramaadiy" (Ramadh di) is Arabic for gray but I don't know if that's supposed to be a theme or not.

I mean something like this. No background, basically, or just one colour (usually white). If there's a background, I need to use Photoshop to cut them out and having a neutral background makes it easier, you see. :)

    Name: Warren StoneWall
Nickname(s): The Blood Hunter
Race: Lion Faunus
Age: Twenty-four

Personality: Before he gained his reputation, Warren was out-going and even overly friendly. He often fooled around with his elder sisters and had friends his own age. His mother states that the old him was very gentlemanlike; he loved playing with kids and was very good at things that hadn't revolved around violence. However, he kept training and getting stronger, to the point that he often completely crushed the will others. He was initially sad about this, and searched for his equal with no real hope in sight. Which lead him down the path of attention he craved. He's cast his feelings towards his opponents aside and now views them as weak and wants to crush them. He often seeks to humiliate them in the worst kind of fashion. He can also become very lazy, only participating when he wants to, and slacking off in critical moments, sometimes abusing his teammates in the process.

Backstory: Unlike his elders step-sisters, victory in battle was never enough for Warren. He craved recognition, acclaim, and glory. He first sought greatness in the outdoing his siblings in strength, but his flair for the dramatic went severely underappreciated. Thirsting for a method to share his greatness with the world, he turned his attention to other means. He carved out the celebrity he desired by turning the tedious affair of executions into a premiere spectacle.

At his first execution, he shocked onlookers when he ordered the doomed prisoner to run for dear life. Just before the man managed to flee from sight, Warren brought him down with a flawless throw of his axe. Soon, all of the executions became a gauntlet through which prisoners raced for a final chance at life. He used this trial as his own personal stage, and turned executions into a leading form of entertainment. However it didn't last only going for a few days before he was eventually found out by his father who worked to end illegal systems like this.

Even after it was all said and done Warren donned a slew developed flashy signature moves to distinguish himself. Crowds flocked to see him in action, and tales of spread quickly. As his popularity grew, so did his already-inflated ego. He belonged at the center of the entire world. Eventually his old man used the connections to send his son away overseas in the hopes of ridding the child of his bad influences.

Weapon: Whaling Darkness is a weapon in which are best to be explained as 'spinning axes' though they have the same properties as a boomerang when thrown. A simple flick of a switch and the weapons elongate becoming dual sided which he can spin to increase the momentum of his throws along as deflect long range attacks. His style is all over the place with melee causing people to think his attacks are full of holes, but rather they are ploys to have them get closer to be cut in half. Though his is his style it has had its drawbacks causing him to lose his both of his arms when trying to catch them haphazardly.

Unlike recently his weapon never had a long range function. Warren's axes meld together to form a compact minigun which is used for spray and pray gunfights with dangerous results when up close. penetrating through solid rock as if paper though it takes a few rounds to pass through metal.

Semblance(s): Warren's semblance is linked to his faunus like background and revolve around hunting ability and senses. Each steam from one another so it is technically a single ability that branches. The first is Taste Their Fear which only starts once physical contact has been initiated with a target he marks enemy which shows when they are isolated from their allies within 500 feet. Next is 'Unseen Predator' activates his predatory instincts gains heightened movement speed while moving toward an enemy, but enemies are made aware that he nearby if he is less focused on another. The last is Dominus empowers himself with all of his pent up anger and hatred is channeled throughout his entire body and boosts his strength.

Sexual ons: Rough play, Romance, Edging, and typical sexual acts.
Sexual offs: Vore, Scat, Extreme Non-con,  and water sports.

(WIP...)

The player the D-named character was reserved for has decided to drop out, so that slot is now open. Again, team WRLD needs two females for the available slots. Any male submissions, at this point, will only be eligible for the second team at this point.

Moving the goalposts of application a week after a player (me) has applied such that they are suddenly ineligible for what they're applying for does not bode well to me for how things are going to shake out down the road. Withdrawing interest in either team.

Like I've said repeatedly, this is not a first come, first serve type of game. I'm selecting based on several factors, one of which is a character's gender in order to balance the team(s). If people choose to ignore that, then that's not something I can be bothered to care about.

There is a marked difference between "female players are more likely to be chosen" and "hey okay so now that a long time has gone by and you've applied and everything, female players are the ONLY acceptable candidates." One of these things is not like the other. I don't appreciate the suggestion that there was any ignorance of the OP involved; adding restrictions at a late date obviously is not predictable (or courteous) behavior and no one but you can be held accountable for that.

You didn't need to apologize, but responding with an accusation of ignorance wasn't great there.
