Super Secret RPG Construction Project

So! I will be making another hidden board for people interested in helping to design and flesh out a game system and setting that is more relevant to Elliquiy's interests.

It will be based roughly off of the D&D 3.x SRD documents, enough that people familiar with d20 will find it comfortable, but I want to have it actually be its own system - ie entirely our own content.

The setting itself will not be rooted in sex so much as it will be very, very open about it. That is, it's a serious setting and won't get marred down by a lot of the silliness in other err... attempts, but sex magic will exist, and a number of taboo topics will get covered.

I'm fairly interested in systems.  Consider me in.  I can help out a fair bit with the mechanical side, although I might not be so keen on designing the setting.  My axiom is that when you have a good system, the players can write the stories.

I haven't built systems before, but I've played about a dozen systems, have a fairly extensive knowledge of various 'real-world' cultures and mythic/magical traditions, and have created three detailed game/fiction worlds.

The forum is made, I'm just laying out some groundwork for what I have planned (else everyone goes of on a tangent and nothing gets done).

I used to wonder if Elliquiy could support something like this, thought it would be really cool if we did. I love systems and rules, to the point of having helped folks write up erotic-themed systems, spells, and items for an offsite game or two, though they're far too specialised for this probably. I can help on both the systems and settings.

Also have several pdf/docs of (some of) the current adult d20 game systems out there in case we need them. Which I can upload *blinkblink*.

I've never tried any 'system' building... but I do enjoy creating customized settings/worlds... I'm actually got one that I've been saving for 4th edition that I'm starting to slowly put together now. That said, I'm kinda new around here, so I certainly would understand if you want to keep things  to those a with a bit more history, but I'm defiantly interested and willing to contribute what I can towards this... it sounds like a very neat project.

Glad to offer any help, either system building or programming, both or anything else!

I've played and ran a few decent 3.x games... spent plenty of time reasoning out the "why" of all the mechanics to help justify to whiny players why I don't usually drift too far from the books... Then, sometimes the mechanics get in the way of story telling...

I may be of some modest help as i have some experience with the Star Wars D20 and Saga system, AEG's L5R rpg and a few homebrewed systems the net disperses. So i might actually be some help. If not, i can only try.
