LamentingQuill

Mildly A/U

-Taking place during the Legion expansion-

This game will be a little bit more sandboxy and very open world rather than heavily guided, though I will take a tighter grip on the reins for things like big events and such. You'll know like at the very least a week ahead before an event takes place and I'll normally keep events active awhile to give folks time to participate what with busy lives and work schedules, etc, etc.

It will be a lot like an rp server... you know, without the non-stop dueling and naked dancing toons... *shudders*

The Rules:

1. Respect the GMs. LamentingQuill and Dashenka be the bosses, please respect us and what we have to say regarding whatever game issues come up. We will have zero issues between us personally so long as you do this.

2. No meta-gaming. Do not try and say that your character actually knows something that would be considered classified or hush-hush information without clearing it with me first and having good reason to back it up for how and why your character would have said otherwise impossible to obtain information.

3. No God-modding. Do not try to control the actions of another character without clear permission from the character's player to do so. If accusations are brought before me and you cannot provide me with proof that you were given permission to do this. I will be forced to ask you to leave the game and free your spot for someone else. This may seem extreme, but I have no time for nonsense.

4. We are Anti-Harassment. Please, don't be that douche... respect the players and respect their characters, alright? I won't play around if I find out about harassment going on in my game. If it is severe enough harassment, I will report it directly to staff. So please, play nice.

5. Character count- Only two character's per player, please.

{More to come as needed}

Canon character's and their offspring: Some canons are allowed, OC offspring of canons are much more doable though. This is first come, first serve...

For example: if someone that was here first has an OC offspring of a canon character (Like Malfurian and/or Tyrande, for example) and you wish to play either Malfurian or Tyrande, you will have to work with the person owning the OC offspring. This works the other way around too, as in if a Malfurian is already in play, you need permission from that writer to play Malfurian's offspring and get your character facts straight with each other to fit together.

Once a canon is claimed as an OC character's parent, they are off the table for other's as parents, unless of course someone is willing to work with you and allow you to be a younger or older sibling.

That being said, do not let the examples confuse you, a good many of the canons are not going to be allowed for the fear of them being too legendary and/or powerful. Many of the canons will be npc'd by myself or Dashenka when their presence becomes necessary.

We will be allowing the younger generation though like Anduin, Wrathion, an adult Li Li Stormstout and people like that, ask us if you are unsure about a specific canon or if it qualifies in this.

Fair is fair, do not complain. You want something, do not wait around and then whine at me when someone else snatches it up, speak up.

Canons already claimed as parents of OC offspring:

Kael'Thas Sunstrider

Jaina Proudmoore

Arthas Menethil

Summary:

Azeroth needs heroes!

Heroes like you!

Demons have been popping up all over Azeroth like grotesque daisies, it is up to the noble heroes of Azeroth to journey and begin the extermination, both on the home front and on the Broken Isles!

You can even accept custom quests from the quest board posted by civilians or even by other heroes requiring assistance!

Along the way, there will be diplomacy, scandals, love, passion, danger, adventure and so much more, are you bold and brave enough?

Color me vaguely curious.  Hypothetically, and without giving away too much, what about hidden agendas?  Wolves in sheep's clothing, or twilight infiltrators, or... um... well, you get the idea, I guess.

in other words, can we play evil and just NOT tell anyone (fake character sheet, just discussed with the GM) to act in our own interests?

It happened in game, so within reason, I don't see why not. I'll be slightly restrictive on how many I allow to do this though, so we don't have villains running amok in total chaos, you know? lol.

Dashenka

If you do this, will you still be open for the bigger picture and adapt to curveballs either the GM or the other players throw you?

There is a big risk of you playing your game and the rest playing theirs, because they don't know what you are up to and vice versa. The idea of a hidden agenda is very nice and tempting but very difficult to play out in a roleplay with others as you constantly have to react to others.

Isn't that half the fun? :)

I do not have to do this.  It was simply the first idea that came to mind.  I also have 'normal' ideas going.

hell, just the fact that I mentioned it aloud means everyone would now assume from me something off, so....

Dashenka

I'm not saying you shouldn't. Was just pointing out the potential hazards :D

BlackStone

Name: Exteus Heartspear

Age: 56

Gender: Male, son to Andrissa Heartspear

Race: Blood Elf

Class and Spec: Retribution Paladin

Faction: Blood Elf only, not neutral in all other regards.

Appearance: Exteus stands taller and muscular when compared to most of his race, but it is really the only thing which sets him apart from other males of his kind.  He stands six feet two inches tall with a wing span if he held out his arms passing seven feet.  He has muscle to his frame which at times has him mistaken for human from a distance.  One look at his shoulder length blood red hair and his eyes, dusky silver surrounded by a ruby red glow puts people straight.  His armor is the same style and colors of the rest of the Blood Knights, gold and crimson.  His favored weapon is one of the artifact weapons of his people, Sin'Dori, and is a great sword near six feet in length.

Personality: Typical of many Blood Elves, with burning righteous fury towards anything undead, be it Forsaken or the Scourge, and their architects of all which caused the plight of his people, the Burning Legion.  Other races other than Blood Elf he gives a grudging tolerance but if pressed he could find fault in near any race save the Tauren with whom other than being allies of the Horde, they played no role in the tragedy of his race.

Sexual orientation: Bi-curious but prefers females

Background:  Exteus is the natural son of Andrissa Heartspear, former Knight of the Silverhand and now Blood Knight dedicated to the cause of the Shattered Sun.  Of his father, Andrissa does not say anything, for while it was not exactly forbidden, laying with a paladin and impregnating her.  It did cause Andrissa to be cast out of the Knights and disowned by her family, a time she does not speak about.  She taught Exteus the only way she knew, and raised him to follow in her footsteps, to further her legacy as a Knight.   Despite the circumstances of his birth, Exteus passed the trials and became a Knight Protectorate in the Silverhand.

Then came the Scourge.

Desperate to protect Quel'Thalas, no help was turned aside, especially when Andrissa proved the Light cared not if she had a child, she was still every bit the paladin she was before she gave birth to Exteus.  Thus mother and son fight side by side against the advance of the Scourge, partaking in every major battle against them.  They were both deeply wounded in the battle for Silvermoon and the Sunwell, and despite their objections, were removed from the battle, and thus were not there when the Scourge finally sacked Silvermoon, and became exiles with the rest of the High Elves.

Such did not last as they joined the rest of their race to fight, and were renamed Blood Knights as a reminder of their purpose, their goal, and what they had lost.  Once more Exteus was in every major conflict, ad viewed drawing his powers from the captured Naaru as necessary to reclaim was was lost of Quel'Thalas.  His fury was unmatched upon the battlefield as he abandoned his calling to defend and embraced righteous retribution his enemies now deserved.  As such he had decimated his enemies, the Scourge and demons alike unable to stand against him in battle.

Exteus resides in Silvermoon where he continues the fight for his people.  He is fiercely loyal to them, and he is tolerable of his Dranei allies and bears no animosity towards the Tauren, but all other races, especially the Forsaken, he bares no love for, and will only ally or work with them under extreme circumstances or can be convinced doing so is for the betterment of his people and be a blow to the Scourge and the Legion.  It is said some of the top commanders in each faction know of Exteus, know his name, and have him marked, to either be turned like his Prince was to serve the Legion, or to be killed and raised to become a Deathknight in eternal service to the Scourge.

BTW, damned effing difficult to find a male blood elf picture out there not a screen capture.   But if you want to be a Blood Elf female, you are in luck, smutty pictures galore!

*grumbles*

Cataclysmic Archangel

I would just like to take this opportunity to say how much I dislike the 7000 paladins all running around with Ashbringer right now.  I mog every artifact, ebcause reasons.

That said, need to work on my character sheet today.

BlackStone

Its why I did not pick Ashbringer as his weapon to be honest and hunted for something else, and the sword was a quest reward for the Argent Dawn so I thought it fit well

Cataclysmic Archangel

Really?  The image in that screen shot looked like one of the alternate Ashbringer skins.  Huh.  I'll need to look that one up.  I actually saw someone yesterday in the BT timewalk who was playing Fury, and had mog'd both of his swords to the OLD corrupted ahsbringer.

BlackStone

Again lack of decent pictures for male blood elves so yes any paladin with a two handed sword will have ashbringer in the picture, but it is not the weapon he will be using in the game

Dashenka

I agree... the paladin class hall is all yellow shiny armour as well.

I guess of all the class halls I like rogues and druids best. They also have the best weapons I feel.

BlackStone

There are lots of great pictures of Blood Elf female knight with all sorts of cool weapons.  My issue is I really play crap females and they come off as nymphomaniac sluts, or stone cold man haters and very shallow and two dimensional.  A flaw I know.  There were a few pictures of male blood elves with war hammers and two handed maces but they had blonde hair and did not fit what I was going for.

My Paladin main is dressed all shiny in Judgement, though I swapped out a few pieces.  His sword is a Dazzling Longsword, his shield is the royal crest of Lorderon, and his belt is from the Order Hall... a very 'crossed swords' motif.

I always get lost in the Druid hall.  Paladins are easy, just a single long hallway.

I just finished getting my elemental shaman very high, and got really upset from the fist/shield combo... terrible transmog options.

Dashenka

How can you get lost in the Druids class hall? You can fly in it :D

Cataclysmic Archangel

stupid answer?  Paladin is my main.  It's a BUILDING.  indoors.  So I never tried flying.

Dashenka

Haha I know. Which is why I love being a Druid. You can fly basically everywhere and our class hall is outside so you can fly :D

Cataclysmic Archangel

When Cataclysm came out, and Worgen became a thing, I immediately made a Worgen druid and went to town.  Flying everywhere.  Whee!  I especially loved Warlords, because I LOVED the Claws of Shivallamadingdong or whatever it was called, because I got catman form.  When the artifacts came out and Ferals instead got cats wearing gloves, the novelty wore off quickly.

I've always been a Paladin at heart anyway.

Dashenka

I agree the daggers are a bit weird but the different shapes and colours are quite fun.

I'm a Resto druid mostly so I got a tree with antlers on my back :P

wowpedia wouldn't be a bad place to learn the general lore. Here in specific, Though like Lament said, it's a lot of lore.
Would a Death knight character be out of the question? That was my main for most of my WoW days once WoTLK came out, so naturally I am attached to them.

Fine by me. Just include details as much you can without writing a book on his background and what he did with his life after liberation from Arthas.

I prefer not to write novella's, it leaves no wriggle room. If I can't condense a history into something succinct and nice, it's just not worth it. I just had to ask since some might see DK's as well - icky. They are undead. Some might see that as it being hard to interact with or for more lewd things as well should that ever come up.

I don't think you fully understand, this is set in the most recent expansion and it dips all the way back to things that happened in the second expansion and on, all I can advise you is to read all there is on Illidan Stormrage, The Legion, Sargeras... there really is a lot to know about. As far as we are and as much has gone down, it's not really fake-able at this point, you can try though, I won't tell you no.

Read as much as possible.

Dashenka

Name: Cera Proudmoore
Age: 23
Race: Human

Class: Outlaw Rogue

Weapon: Fencer's Reach (x2)

Short biography: Nobody knows her real relation to the famous Proudmoore bloodline but fact is that she is related. Some wild rumours go that Cera is the child of Jaina and the former Prince Arthas, other rumours are that she is actually Jaina's half sister and that her mother had a fling with the late Admiral Daelin Proudmoore. They supported her in the orphanage, gave her a false name but never raised or acknowledge her as their heir.

Cera, curious about her ancestry, went digging and asking, often sneaking into places she shouldn't be in. After some digging and tough investigations she learned about her famous heritage but hit walls when asking more. She decided to get closer to the people who worked with Daelin and her first step was with the Bloodsail Buccaneers. All she wanted was information about Daelin or his son, Tandred but with the package came a life of crime and plundering. One night she was caught plundering a room in the inn at Booty Bay which was rented by a rich Goblin nobleman. She managed to get out of the inn, leaving a trail of Goblin blood in her wake. Outside, she launched the flaregun and soon after, the thundering roar of the cannons were heard as the Bloodsail vessel began to bombard the Goblin settlement. Cera had a short but very passionate love relationship with Jessi Falrevere, daughter of Duke Falrevere. It was this man that convinced Cera that she couldn't be Daelin Proudmoore's daughter as Daelin was fiercely loyal to his wife and would never allow a woman to be intimate with him.

Duke Falrevere agreed to help her find her ancestors but soon enough Cera began to doubt the Duke's motives. If it came out that Cera was indeed related to any of the Proudmoore family, he could use her as leverage against his old enemies and if she was actually the daughter of Arthas, it meant she was the only heir to the Menethil family and thus to the throne of Lordaeron. Having no such ambitions herself, Cera dismissed that idea but she had made up her mind to leave the Bloodsail Buccaneers. She begged and pleaded Jessi to come with her but eventually left alone. Cera snuck out at night, lowering one of the rowboats and making her way to shore.

Knowing that the Bloodsail would be looking for her, along with every Goblin in Azeroth, she began to roam the lands and eventually settled as a leatherworker's apprentice in Stormwind.

Despite missing the action of battle, Cera was content and was set to take over the tannery when she saw the recruitment form for the Alliance forces. They were going to set sail to the Broken Isles to take the fight to the Legion after a lot of stuff had been going on on Draenor. Cera had been at sea plundering most of the time and had only a vague idea of the events at Pandaria and Draenor but her real intentions to join were not the battle but the second name who signed the document. The first, as always, was King Varian Wrynn. The second, Jaina Proudmoore. Cera signed up, planning to confront her alleged mother.

Things worked out slightly different and the alliance forces were nearly wiped out on the Broken Shores. Variann was murdered by Gul'Dan and Jaina, mysteriously, blamed Sylvanas. Before Cera could confront Jaina, they had blown the retreat and Jaina had left in rage and anger. Cera was given a Stormwind medallion of bravery for her actions but has not seen Jaina since. The young rogue roamed the Broken Isles for clues, favours and money but was still confronted with her past by members of the Horde she met in Dalaran. With the Goblins having joined the Horde, Cera was now wanted by the entire Horde, rather than the Goblins alone.

Reason for signing up: Cera is still desperate to search for Jaina and hopefully figure out who her parents really are.

Last expansion played by player: I've been playing for 14 years non stop :)

Additional information: Cera's hair is the same silvery blonde as Jaina's and the eyepatch is just for show.

What were you looking to play?

Cataclysmic Archangel

Most likely a fire mage.  I think I sent you a PM about it, when you first dropped the thread.

I'm actually writing it up now, just minus a picture.

Cataclysmic Archangel

Name: Xandre Soulsear

Age: 31

Gender: Male

Race: Draenai

Class and Spec: Fire Mage

Faction: Kirin Tor

Appearance: (Picture Pending)  Six and a half feet tall and powerfully built like most of his race.  His skin is dark, an ash-grey in color.  Many often joked that his skin tone matched his fiery nature, the smoke and ash his magic left behind.  He did not sport the tendrils many of his kind did, instead high ridge from his brow that head back to a thick mane of black hair, which he often wore in a long pony tail down to his back.  He often would wear robes of deep crimson and silver, and unlike many of his brethren, he carries a long rod of dark red metal, instead of a spellblade in the elven style.

Personality: Ambitious.  Xandre is a master magi, and has worked very hard for that rank and title.  He despises laziness and stupidity, and often looks down upon those he thinks might fall into that category.  He is willing to address others as his equal... after they prove themselves.

Sexual orientation: Heterosexual

Background: Xandre has one of those cliche pasts that are so common that it seems almost foolish to doubt.  After the crashing of the Exodar onto Azeroth, he was injured in the crash, causing him to lose much of his memory.  He was nursed back to health with both Draenai and Night Elf healing, which is where his name came from; given to him as he could not remember his own.  From there he was taken in, and learned that he had affinity for the arcane.  Not feeling comfortable amongst his own people, he ended up travelling to the arcane city of Dalaran, where he could study his gift without worrying about feeling like he didn't belong in his race.  being a quick study, he remained in the floating city, trying his best to stay out of any of the goings on of the world around him.  Occasionally the losses in his memory would manifest as terrible nightmares, sometimes debilitating, which kept him from the wars against the Lich King, the Pandaren continent... it was only when the rest of the Draenai appeared, as the final invasion of the Legion came to Azeroth.  Perhaps it was some long buried memories, but this finally spurred the mage to action, to help to protect his newly adopted world.

Likes: Skill, knowledge, confidence.

Dislikes: Foolishness, ignorance, timid and submissive natures.

Worst case scenario, I can log on, hit the barber shop and get myself a screen cap.  I tried the other day, and what popped up, literally, you could actually see 'screen captured' on the gif that it created. :p

Hrmm, not so easy to find good death knight armor that isn't... overboard in the edge department. I mean I know, it's a death knight. But i'd like to find a picture of him both armored and non. Would this be too much for armor? I'm intending to play a frost DK - so I mean, the glowing blue nature of it all fits, as does the general skull imagery. Naturally, I'm more than  happy to tone it down. If I can find something decent.

Try a search of Dragonlance, Knights of the Skull or Thorn, or Pathfinder Hellknights

I suppose I could go for that, I was seeking to avoid using in game screenshots though, for the most part!

True, true! I'll go with that for the armor. Just leaves me needing to find a good image for him!

Considering the many, many duplicates there would be, we'll omit artifact weapons. It would be kinda weird to have numerous copies of a supposedly one of a kind rare weapon floating around xD

I did mention in my BG that I wasn’t going with the sword like most fire mages. :)

Second has my vote.

Also given how many weapons are out there I think we could all be adult and settle on one for our characters.  I mean its not like we have stats, so if there was a cool weapon from some lowbie instance like Scarlet Monastery I say go for it, yes?  Thoughts?

Revelation

Revelation

Name: Gabriel Leonhardt

Age: 28 (5 years as a deathknight)

Gender: Male

Race: Human (Undead)

Class and Spec: Death Knight, Frost.

Faction: Allied with the Ebon Blade, but also has strong allegiance to the Alliance.

Appearance: (See image for outside of armor, though perhaps more pale in skin tone). A tall and handsome enough man, Gabriel has pale skin that was once a more tan complexion and glowing blue eyes – telltale traits of his ‘knighthood’. Often, he wears dark and concealing armor from head to to toe – roughly analagous to the Demongaze tier of armor. With his armor and clothing off, one could see a handful of scars on his body, at least one of them a mostly healed mortal wound. His weapons of choice are a pair of runic blades - crafted by himself.

Personality: Despite being a death knight, Gabriel still retains much of the honor he had as a paladin. Trying to be a good man despite the caveats of undeath, he strives to protect the living of Azeroth be they alliance or Horde – though the latter may be more grudging. Despite the ever present need for a death knight to commit violence, he reserves it for his enemies – and the Legion provides many. As such, he can take a more ruthless turn when fighting, though he still seeks to keep reason intact and not give up what ideals he still holds.

Sexual orientation: Heterosexual.

Background: Gabriel was once a paladin, strong hearted and brave. Were it not for an untimely death at the hands of the Scourge in the plaguelands, he may have had a promising career as a knight of the light. Unfortunately – slain by the scourge in an ambush and eventually risen as one of many death knights Arthas used in a gambit to attack light’s hope Chapel. Whether it was his tenuous sense of honor, the sacred ground of the chapel breaking the scourge’s hold, or perhaps some other reason or perhaps a combination, the battle there broke his connection to the Scourge along with many other death knights that were present at the battle. Forming their own faction – The Ebon Blade, they became committed to vengeance against the Scourge at all costs.

Gabriel’s unlife has been one of constant war. From the legions of the dead, to maddened cultists and twisted dragons, to the remnants of old gods and beyond. His skills in battle have carried him onward, and the need to shed blood and inflict pain upon his enemies has been given the chance to be sated time and time again. With the legion setting forth on Azeroth once more, and seeking to plunge the world under their heel, Gabriel is ever ready to fight and protect his world no matter the cost to himself. To him, the chance to make things right is reason enough to ‘live’.

Likes: Romantic gestures, protecting others, moments of calm and reflection, cooking for others, The rain.

Dislikes: Wanton cruelty to innocents, betrayal, losing control of his emotions,

O/O's: Beep boop

I'm going to assume that given enough time away from the LK's control, some DK's can assume some sense of 'normalcy', even if it's not quite 100%. They were made to be weapons, but how they are weapons is up to the DK in question.

Name:  Laeera "Whisper" Coldsworn

Age:  43

Gender:  Female

Race:  Blood Elf

Class and Spec:  Rogue - Subtlety

Faction:  Independent -- maintains a loose working relationship with The Uncrowned

Appearance:  Long black hair tied up into a ponytail, slightly tanned skin, slim but muscular body, and dark eyes nearly black.  She has symmetrical, violet tattoos along her cheekbones appearing almost like thorny vines below her eyes.

Personality:  Laeera is indulgent, nearly the point of being hedonistic.  She enjoys obtaining things, usually illegally, and hoarding wealth only for the purpose of her own enjoyment.  She claims that she "likes the feel of gold on her skin", which is perhaps why she doesn't tend to spend her ill-gotten gains very often.  When she does spend her money it is on one of two things:  things to make her more lethal or things that bring her pleasure.  Arcwine has become a recent favorite, but nearly any sweet, alcoholic beverage will do in a pinch.  One would imagine she would be simple to bend to the will of the Legion but she has a "heart of gold" beneath her callous exterior.  She's seen the result of the Legion's endeavors and knows that there's nothing there to enjoy.  There's nothing to be had as the goddess of a pile of ash.  She has a sharp wit and a sharper tongue that she uses wantonly.  Her motivations for doing things are often inscrutable, some think she's simply gone mad with the powers of the shadows that she's tapped into--and perhaps they might be right.

Sexual orientation:  Bisexual

Background:  Laeera's past is hazy at best and she rarely discusses it.  What is clear is that she spent some time in Outland before the Sin'Dorei returned to Quel'Thalas.  Her noteworthy exploits involved espionage against both the Arrakoa and the Ethereals that populated various parts of the shattered world.  In the end it was the Ethereals that had proven to be the more dangerous of the two.  While espionage was usually her primary goal in any mission she went on, either for Kael'thas, the Scryers, or even the Illidari, she inevitably took various trinkets for herself along the way.  She was, perhaps, inevitably captured by Shaffer's Ethereals who subsequently imprisoned her and began the long work of extracting information from her.

What she knew of their operations was largely inconsequential to them, instead they were more interested in some of the items that she had taken--things that she had long since sold.  She had no information that satisfied them, but the torture continued at length.  They exploited her mana dependance at times, draining it away to nothing and teasing her with promises to replenish it.  Simply beat her physically in a variety of ways.  And most insidious of all began to use the void to eat away at her soul.  Perhaps her ability to absorb magics of various kinds, or some other side effect of the Mana manipulation the Ethereals performed, began to allow her to not just be tainted by the Shadows of the Void but to absorb bits of it into herself over time.  She was still far too weak to escape, but when Shaffer was slain by a group of "heroes" she managed to escape the Mana Tombs and return to Quel'thalas to recover.

The Blood Elf Rogue found work easily enough.  Where the Blood Knights had brought the Light back to the Elves, there was always still need for those that worked in the Shadows.  Especially, some would say, in the strange political environments that the Sin'Dorei navigated.  She found her abilities augmented by her experience, developing the darkness within her as a weapon and a shield.  Over the next few years she grew farther away from the rest of the Sin'Dorei and ventured out into the world to act on her own.  Work was certainly easier to find with the Horde, but in time she gained a few more connections here and there--strangely enough more among the Humans than any others.  It was her brief jobs for Ravenholdt (indirectly usually) that eventually gained her a "place" amongst the Uncrowned.  While not truly a member, they paid her well enough to do what they needed her to do and she found in them some like-minded individuals and worthwhile repeat customers.

The Whispers started after the Cataclysm.  While always somewhat strange she started to descend into some manner of real madness.  While most worried about the ancient dragon that was destroying the world, she focused on other priorities.  First it was the Twilight Cult.  She eventually found, and began to work with, Mia Rose.  They shared a brief fling for a time as well until the Whispers started driving her away from the Twilight Cult.  Mia, of course, had some misguided suggestions about what was going on, but it was clear the Void taint on her soul was not entirely benign.  Her journeys took her to Ahn'Qiraj, Ulduar, and eventually to Pandaria in the wake of the Sha.  It was there that she encountered the Shado-Pan who recognized the Old-God touch within her.  She spent some time with the Shado-Pan learning some techniques to help focus her mind in such a way that she could be "herself" even with the faint influence of the Old Gods.

Returned to her mostly normal mental state she returned to her old jobs and kept tabs on various Shadow Priests whom she would speak to from time to time about the Shadows.  When the Legion came she suddenly found herself not just pillaging a new corner of Azeroth, but fighting off the fiery hordes of demons from getting a stronger foothold on the world.  Somehow, despite her best efforts, she'd been swept up into the role of a hero for some.  She was one of the first that snuck in to Suramar to sow dissent among the citizens.

Likes:  The dark, wine (of many varieties), rum, gold, profit, showing off, sarcasm, freedom

Dislikes:  Being contained or bound, being demeaned, having her things taken away from her, feeling powerless, pointless morality

Doomglazer

#70

Name: Aranon Teldhrinil
Age: 36
Gender: Last time he checked Male
Race: Night Elf

Class: Hunter Beast Master Hunter to be exact

Faction: Cenarion Circle

Weapon: Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers

Sexual orientation: Hetro

Short biography: Aranon was always the special one out of the flock. Every since he was born his parents knew he would be a proud warrior defending Azeroth from evil that would try to wreck his homeland. Little did they know he choose an entirely different path. Aranon was raised as a warrior his father was one and so was his grandfather. Al this training was to get him ready for Warriorhood.
Then the day came of his 12Th birthday, the day young Night Elves choose what class they would be. His father walked with him to the shrine where the Elder One of the village was. There Doomglazer would speak out which class he would be. Everbody was shocked when he spoke out the following word: Hunter. His father looked at him with Awe he was clearly shocked not knowing what to say, he just stood there silent. Knowing that once you choose you cant turn back he accepted the choice of his youngest son but wasn't happy about it. He had the best trainers allready lined up for him but all that is gone now the great line of warriors would stop with him and wont be passed to his son. His mother knew the choice her son would make but never said anything to her husband.
Years of basic training passed and during one of his Trap training's he stumbled upon a lost Nightsaber cub. He took it in since it was alone probably lost his mother during a hunt. After taking care of it it was finally ready to be set back in nature. The cub walked a little but then ran back into Aranons arms. From that day forward the where a duo. Doomglazer gave him a very original name: Doomy.

It was his 18th birthday time to choose what kind of a hunter he would be, the choice was quickly made, he was going to be a Beast Master. Which was easy since he allready had his loyal companion with him.

After venturing far and abroad he joined forces with a guild. They where looking for another hunter and he fit the profile. One of the first raids was Onyxia the black dragon. After allot of attempts and yelling by the Raid leader calling for MOAR DOTS they finally downed the dragon and one of the drops was a black dragon sinew. He knew what this meant, going back to his homeland he went to his teacher who told him about an Ancient Stave that could transform into a bow. And what test he would have to do to get that Bow.

After clearing Demons all over the world he finally had the items to create the Staff. He went to the Ancients and together with them he created  Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers. From that day forward he was the keeper of the Ancient Bow. Many Shiny bows would cross his path but he would never trade his Bow in. Since it can also transform into a handy walking stick when he gets tired. Double profit.

After defeating Raggy, the Lich King, and other scum that treathended the world days where finally coming at ease. But he is always looking for a new adventure, new items, new booty.

Name: Al'theas Theron

Age: 62

Gender: Male

Race: Blood Elf

Class and Spec: Havoc Demon Hunter

Faction: The Illidari

Appearance:
Picture

Personality: Determined, Introspective, Kind for the most part, open minded short of demons, prone to rage when encountering said demons. Deplores unnecessary violence but often times reckless when it comes to it. Most often speaks only when he finds it necessary. His vigor for violence only rears it's head when he taps deeply into the demonic magics within the blood that courses through his veins.

Sexual orientation: Heterosexual

Background: Long ago his father, Lor'themar Theron, the current regent of Silvermoon and the Blood Elf highly considered to be first in line as the next ruler of Silvermoon City was by some rumored to be not only second in command to Sylvanas Windrunner but also her lover. This was not the case as was also scarcely known by most amidst their armies. Lor'themar had found love, found someone whom he wished to share his long life with, and their child was born in secret though only for the sake of his own safety. She was a low born paladin, Lor'Themar a powerful ranger and paladin of high position, and amidst war their affairs were best left private. As was her absence from battle and the subsequent son she birthed him.

By the time he was a young man the second war was upon them and he followed in the footsteps of his mother and father as both a warrior and a paladin of some significant power. He fought and bled alongside both of his parents to defend Quel'Thalas against the horde invasion wherein his mother fell in battle despite his efforts to save her. Though devastated by her loss he accompanied his father along with Turalyon and the alliance forces to the Capital City of Lordaeron where the threat of the orcish threat was abated. Still, the grief he felt was one of inconsolable rage and hatred. He devoted himself to combat for quite some time thereafter and only a few years following the second war volunteered to follow Turalyon through the reformed Dark Portal into Draenor. There it was discovered that Ner'zhul, with the aid of deathwing, was planning to use a number of powerful artifacts to open more portals and allow the fel horde to escape and plunder other words.

When the forces in Turalyon and Dannath Trollbane split up Al'theas sought to follow Deathwing and after a fierce battle with gronn and orgres fighting beside them against the black dragonflight they managed to secure the skull of Gul'dan and rejoin the other half of their traveling party. They put together a powerful assault upon the Black Temple but ultimately failed to stop Ner'zhul from opening and escaping into his portals. It was then that he witnessed the selfless assistance of Turalyon given to Archmage Khadgar in efforts to destroy the Dark Portal on Draenor. Al'Theas was thought to have been killed in the chaos that ensued. Instead he survived and was taken captive by the surviving demons of the sundered Draenor now to be known as Outland. After years of torture, such that most could only imagine, he was freed by the might of Illidan Stormrage whom claimed the black temple and began to raise his own army of Demon Hunters. Of whom Al'theas was one of the first to survive the overwhelming power of fel energies and gladly sacrificed his true vision for that of fel sight.

When the combined forces of the Horde and the Alliance returned to outland and ultimately defeated Illidan within the black temple he found himself imprisoned by the Wardens alongside many of his Illdari brethren. It wasn't for another 10 years that he found his freedom at the hands of willing adventurers whom truly recognized the grave threat that the legion posed far surpassed that of the Illdari. Now, as the legion shows the full force of their power, does he stand amongst the heroes of Azeroth to see this long struggle come to a violent end. Much has changed in him since the days of his youth, since the last time he'd spoken to or of his father, and unlike his fellow Illdari he understands that their success is not an option and there will be life beyond the legion's fall. With that in mind he still fights for their cause though is often looked down upon by even his own kind for taking on battles thought to be beneath beings of their power and design. Having been broken and reforged so many times over he sought allies and purpose beyond Sargeras. Though that is not to say he's lost sight of his ultimate purpose... as is evident when he encounters demons.

Dashenka

Name: Cera Proudmoore

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Class and Spec: Outlaw Rogue

Faction: The uncrowned, Stormwind, Wrynn, Bloodsail Buccaneers

Appearance:

Personality: A bit loud and arogant but easily likeable.

Sexual orientation: Bisexual

Background:  Nobody knows her real relation to the famous Proudmoore bloodline but fact is that she is related.

Cognitive Brainfart

I don't know if this has been asked already but I was curious about how lore-significant armor and weapons are treated.

There is a place to include the weapon of a character in the bio and I've noticed that some approved characters are wielding some pretty powerful weapons.

If we consider the lore, these weapons hold massive power. A character wielding them would be a bit... out of the league of a normal average hero. For example, if my rogue wields (did someone say...?) Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, then some regular orc with a regular sword can't really do anything against that.

So I was wondering how that will work? Are the weapons listed just a cosmetic thing? Will they be 'nerfed' for the story? Or are they the actual full-power legendary/artifact weapons?

Verasaille

Is this still open for character submissions? I am interested. Currently playing WOW and having a hard time finding partners. I have a few I would like to rp, one is a warlock. Lillideth is her WOW character name and she has an interesting profile picture on battlenet if we can use that. Moon Guard is the realm
