Just so I understand it all. What exactly happened? I know in past games the GM at least PMd those involved and said something like your attack failed due to a counterattack or healer some such. I sorta got blind sided and don't know how or what occurred.

How does the Muggle role work? How does a neutral guy win?

The Muggle and the Mudblood both had to choose their allegiance at the beginning of the game, Red.   I believe it was very similar to RPGuy's VI game, in which James Moriarty and Beguile's Mistress were the "neutral" roles.  BeMi sided with the Engineers, while James went with the Hackers.

Remi's right. Basically there are two players at the start of the game who have no allegiance and get to choose what side they play on.  They have to PM the GM before the start of the first night phase with their choice, and they're choice is final. 

For example, say the Muggle chose to align with the wizards.  They could not learn all of the special roles and then halfway through the game decide to switch to the death eaters side.

You may change your vote, what you will need to do is find it in your sent messages, quote the old vote and include the new vote after the quote.
