Is the server under heavy load right now? I've had Firefox sit and tell me the above for periods of 2 to 3 minutes three or four times tonight. I had never noticed it do this before the recoding of the last 24 hours except in known 'failures'. Was just wanting to report a noticeable slowdown tonight in the last 30 minutes or so and ask if this was normal or if something unusual was going on.

Thanks.

If you see the 500 error, that's an issue with the server. If you see 'waiting for response', unless I'm actually doing maintenance (which I talk about and is rather rare), it's the connection. The last bit of route instability we had was Sunday morning, but that only lasted a few minutes, so if you got that today the problem is on your end.

Going straight to the IP address at http://174.34.158.178 can indicate DNS problems. https://elliquiy.com can bypass some censorship schemes.

Thanks. Interesting. I wasn't getting any error, just Firefox's status bar sitting there saying 'Waiting for elliquiy.com...' I've not seen it happen with E before - the response time is usually instantaneous. It hasn't happened again today. I'll keep an eye on it.
