Notifications - email?

I'm sure there was a thread somewhere around here, but I can't find it o.o'
Anyways, my problem is that when I get a new message I don't get a notification - I use my msn so whenever I get a PM it sends an email to my hotmail account and my msn rings the bell that I have a new message. But it just stopped doing so. I cleaned my email's inbox, so it is not filled, so that's not the problem. I think I read something that hotmail doesn't work all that great with notifications... ;w;

I've had that happen a few times myself. But it was notifications for posts coming 4 hours after the fact. So I have no idea what is going on, just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone.

Hotmail has rotating periods of delays, basically.

Unless you went with Yahoo or AOL IMs. They only bounce when someone links to a naughty site.
