OOC Thread and Additional Info






Welcome to Black Hearts, Incorporated! This is just another one of your friendly neighborhood professional mercenary organizations. I'm you're Intel Specialist, Siouxsie, which means I'll be your go-to gal for -- my eyes are up here, 30 more seconds sweety, I promise -- mission information, latest intelligence, and any other important information you'll need for mission success.

Black Hearts is a professional mercenary group which also means that we operate within the legal parameters set forth by the paper-pushing powers-that-be. Any mercenaries employed by us are bound by contract, which means there won't be any random "Kill your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women," unless it's a legitimate mission anyways, sugar. No narcs or alcoholism because we want you at your very best and we will make you rue the day you joined our fine establishment if you dare go on mission under the influence of alcohol or narcotics and therefore putting the lives of the men and women who work with you on the line. Missions come frequently and they can last for however long it takes you and your team to successfully complete them. That means you'll be away from your families regularly and for sometimes long durations, so keep them happy! I don't like angry wives calling me. I don't get paid enough for that. If you can handle all of that then I think you'll like it here, welcome aboard!

Missions will be created mostly by Red Offerings, they'll be quite a variety. Players of the team can also come up with ideas and work them in if they like, no pressure. I'm also a fan of random occurrences, which means I might roll a die or something to determine if something absolutely crazy happens. I like dice for off-handed things like that. But otherwise I think this thing will be basically freeform. Men and women can be mercs, former cops or military are definitely preferred.  Black Hearts is a well established organization that has a really decent reputation which means they really will come down hard on people who break the rules. I'm not saying you can't do it, just saying you better be prepared for the consequences. Also I am putting a limit right here and now on how many widowed men I accept into the game with horribly tragic pasts. Come on, be diverse!

Either of those is open ATM. I'll post the sheet tonight so you can get cracking on whatever you decide.

EDIT: the lead merc will have to be former special ops, don't care if its navy seals or delta, he will be the one person to have full knowledge of Siouxsie and a past (nothing huge) with her prior to the org.

I'm not one for NC or Extreme; it's one of my 'things'; I can't be in a game with NC sexual activity in it, even if it's not involving my character.

With that being said, it's your game and your call. I'd love to give it a try, but at the same time it's your decision to make and if it's not what you want, then I'll respectfully bow out. Allways better to know in advance before you get too far into character concepts and the like

Oh that's no big deal. There won't be any of that allowed since this organization runs alongside laws, hence no substance abuse and pillaging, etc.. If someone's character were to even do that they'd be out of the story because they'd be thrown in jail. So no worries there.

Just FYI, I mentioned it in my response to Jecter, anyone who plays senior merc, the character has to be former spec. Ops, don't care if its navy seals or delta. He will be the only character to know all about Siouxsie and have a past (nothing huge) prior to the org with her.
