Lustful Bride

The year is 1946. The threat of the Axis powers had been eliminated and the fascist cancer purged from the world to allow humanity a chance to grow and prosper, and never again shall this kind of evil be given a chance to rise up, and to be better than we once were, a time of peace and reconciliation.

At least, that was how it was supposed to be. But the leaders of the Allied powers knew that a significant portion of the Nazi high command, U-boat fleet, and other aspects of its military escaped the destruction of Berlin and retreated to the dark corners of the Earth. The divide between the East and West grows, and the Western Allies seek any advantage they can use against the coming threat of the Soviet Union. So when they finally find evidence of a major, secret, Nazi installation in Antarctica, where some of the Reich's best scientists escaped to, they know that they must get there before the Soviets do, and they must claim the technology within it.

A naval taskforce is hastily put together and sent out to take the Nazi facility in a daring surprise assault.

Most people assume that Operation Highjump never occurred. Those that do, believe it to have been some secret mission against the remnants of the Third Reich, and something involving aliens or the Earth being somehow Hollow. The truth it would turn out was much stranger.

The fleet was ready for anything the Nazis might have. V2s, Coastal Guns, Subs. Hell, maybe even an Atom Bomb. Those brave souls who were charging fourth to put the final nail in the Nazi coffin were prepared to give their lives if need be to ensure that the fascist heart of darkness would never rise to plague the world again. They already had intel on where the base was located, and were battle hardened veterans of all three theaters of war, Europe, Africa, and the Pacific. They were well versed in combat in many different fields and equipped for a hard campaign on their last battle. But so were the Nazis, they had prepared for this day and were eager to make the Allies bleed.

Among the Allied Taskforce, there are Naval and Marine assets, experienced in fighting the Japanese more so than the Nazis, but given the location of the German base, it is deemed a suitable fit. This is part of how old members of the Women Air Service Pilots (WASPs) end up tagging along.

Among is a WASP pilot of 25 by the name of Angela Mallory. She spent the latter half of the Pacific Theater doing much the same work as men did, but with less resources and less respect.

When she and the other WASPS weren't helping keep planes in the sky with what tools they had on hand, they were helping to ferry those planes to bases which needed them, and sometimes forced to engage rogue Japanese patrols in the skies. Some of them didn't make it home, but others managed to score kills, even if none would actually want to credit a woman with downing three Japanese Zeros. (Angie likes to claim it was five, but she can only genuinely confirm three enemy planes she shot down).

Angela, and multiple other WASPS were brought in for this and other reasons.

The first being that if they ran their mouths to the public, it would be easily dismissed as one of the myriad of women's "instabilities" which could be used to have them locked up.

Second, they were accustomed to keeping planes working in adverse conditions with the bare minimum equipment. Even if the arctic conditions are different than the Pacific, they are able to make do thanks to having far more equipment than they did while on various atolls and forgotten islands in the Pacific Front of the war.

Third, they were still under contract, and it is easier just grabbing a bunch of units wholesale rather than cherry-picking, time was of the essence and the Naval group needed to move ASAP.

Angie didn't really care though; she was happy to not be unceremoniously discharged the way so many other WASPs were. She liked feeling useful, liked being active and working on planes. She knew that once she got back to 'civilized society' then all the freedom she felt from flying and roughing it would be lost. She'd be expected to give it all up, find a husband soon, or risk being a spinster or even a Thornback for the rest of her life. She doesn't want to be alone, but neither is she ready to just pack it all up and spend her life at home.

She's only been a WASP for 3 years, and she sees this as her last chance for a real chance at serving. So, she, along with the other WASPs, give it their all. If this is their last hoorah, then it will be one worth remembering!

The mission is expected to be a difficult one, but completely doable. Go in, attack the entrenched Nazi base, root out any remaining scientists and try to capture their notes and resources to deny it to the Soviet Union, be home by Christmas. Easy as pie.

What the Allied fleet did not expect, was for all those crazy tales about Nazi Wonderweapons and super-science to turn out to be real, and to be coming straight at them!

The last of the Third Reich remnants at the base were led by diehard members of the S.S. and Thule Society. They were fanatical and not willing to give up on the Fuhrer's final plan. They'd been working on secret weapons and much more, since before the war even began. They'd made a discovery which could have utterly changed the shape of the world if they'd used it. But at this stage of the war, it was now just a way for Nazi loyalists to escape, to a whole new world.

It was their hope that they could conquer this new world, and take its secrets for their own, then rebuild as a 4th Reich to then return and subjugate the planet Earth. With the attack by the allies coming, the Nazis have no choice but to scuttle the entire facility. They cannot risk the allies chasing them through into the new world.

The Allied naval strike group attacked at dawn, bombarding the Nazi ice fortress from a distance and sending out strike bombers and fighters to help support and protect the landing craft when the time came. But it didn't matter, the Nazis just needed to delay the allies long enough for the facility's ancient portal device to be overloaded.

The air battle during Highjump was a nasty one. The Nazis had brought out the old classics like their Jet projects, the V2s, and then broke out the new stuff when the Allies pressed closer to the facility.

Flying discs, weapons which fired lightning and sound canons which could shake a plane apart, and turn the pilot inside the cockpit into giblets.

But just like how in RL propeller planes were still able to take down Nazi jets, with grit and courage the allied planes were witling down the Nazi super airships. (Especially when a genius got it into their head to load up the Hellcats with rockets meant for ground strikes and just flood the air with rockets so the UFO would get hit by at least one of them and go crashing down).

At this point, some planes come back with critically injured pilots, and the WASPs are forced to take to the sky again. There's no time to waste and some of the WASPs finish conducting emergency repairs on a plane and hop right into the pilot's seat. Angela is one of those who soon take to the air again, and she puts her old experience against Japanese Zeros to good use and manages to take down a Nazi flying disc by hitting its belly with concentrated gunfire. the strange spheres on the bottom are what keep it afloat, but are also the weakpoint.

Soon the flurry of Allied planes, naval gunfire and a few landing parties begin overwhelming the Nazi defenses.

With the air at risk of being taken by the Allies, the Nazis decided to call it quits on Earth and set off the reaction early.
Rather than this destroying them all, it instead causes an unintentional teleportation which yanks them to the other side, to the new world and to where the other portal facility is location. The entire Nazi base is tossed into the same general area as its sister facility, along with pulling in nearby allied planes (and possibly an allied Ship or two).

Once on the other side of the veil, the air battle continues, as (whatever allies were pulled along) refuse to give in and surrender to the krauts when it looks like home might not be an option.

In the ensuing fighting Angela (whose Hellcat might have been armed with rockets) spots the unmistakable sight of a concentration/labor camp. The Nazis have been up to their old horrible atrocities on this new world. Native species were forced into servitude to build a Nazi fortress, and make up to the invader's lack of established industry in this new world, so she decides to help even the odds and fires some of her rockets at the gatehouse, blowing it open and the prisoners see their chance, and stage a sudden uprising.

Either they will escape in the chaos or die trying, but it's better than living inside of the camp.

During the fight Angela keeps battling Nazi aircraft and doing what she can, as other planes are lost (and if there are any allied ships, they may decide to retreat rather than keep being hit under nazi guns), becoming so focused on shooting the enemy planes down until she cannot hear or see any allies.

It looks as if Angie might be the only one left (whether she is or isn't can be worked out in the pre-planning/discussion stages), and her fighting becomes more desperate until her guns run dry, her rockets have been fired off, and there is no way home. She's already used most of her fuel, Nazi guns are still firing up at her and the situation seems hopeless.

But Angie still has some fight left in her.

So, she takes a page from the Kamikazes in the pacific and aims her plane down towards something soft the Nazis wont want to lose (could be fuel, radar, or some weird ancient technology doohickey) and bails out before she is too low to deploy a parachute. Her plane slams into the ground (either taking out her intended target, grazing it or missing it), and she is left to float to the ground (either with a handgun or just her fists).

Upon hitting the ground, the Nazis are on her like a swarm of angry hornets, and she is either shot, stabbed, or beaten to unconsciousness. She closes her eyes expecting death.

Instead, shots and furious cries echo out, as some of the prisoners ambush the distracted Nazi guards, slaying them and rescuing Angela.

'The Enemy of my Enemy, is my friend' is a universal principle, and they quickly move to take her to one of the ships the escaping prisoners are commandeering as the entire labor camp is in an uproar. The prisoners are making a break for it en masse or trying to kill at least one Nazi before they too are killed.

The prisoners (native sentients of this world) get the ship underway (as they were laborers forced to help build it, perhaps its not even a normal boat but some scifi airship or such the Nazis wanted to start making) and quickly make their best speed for anywhere which can get them away from the Nazi base.

The nazis are so distracted by the uprising that they are able to escape and set a course for friendly territory, as despite the monstrous behavior of the Nazis, some political factions on this world have aligned with them and the escapees need to head to one of the factions which stands in opposition to the new Axis powers.

Along the way, they nurse Angela back to full strength, help her brush up on how to use a cutlass, and in the (weeks to months of sea travel?) time it takes to reach a safe port they teach her their language and both sides learn from one another.

With no one else to talk to and a ship full of natives wanting to be understood, the language lessons go swimmingly and she's borderline fluent (at least in speech) by the time they reach land thanks to full immersion language courses.

Angela is surprised to learn that the Nazis have been infiltrating this new world since the 1920s, influencing the politics of the various nations and peoples, stealing ancient secrets and building up their power. They are still weak, but their influence has been growing even now. Yet, what happened with the Allied attack might just be the shot heard by all, to rally people into finally making a stand against the Nazis and their supporters before it is too late.

It's a whole new world out there, and here is much to be learned, experienced, or discovered, and a lot of work to do if they have any hope of stopping the Nazis from spreading their infectious ideology to this world. Angie isn't in any rush to get home, in fact...she might just want to stay even after the Nazis have been beaten.

I'm back at it again with more ideas. I've recently been in a massive mood for something like the classic Pulp adventures with a healthy mix of Planetary Romance/Sword and Planet akin to John Carter of Mars (though in our case Jane Carver of Waar might be more appropriate).

The idea just would not let me go and the longer I slept on it the more that it grew and blossomed into what you see above us. Planetary Romance/Pulp where we get to shoot Nazis and explore a whole new world.

I have been thinking that it would possibly be played out using the Broken Compass RPG system, I have used it before for a different pulp inspired game and I really enjoyed my time with it. I'd also be willing to try this freeform or use a different system to play it out.

There will be adult scene and sexual encounters between characters, but I'm looking for more 80% plot and 20% Smut. So don't come in expecting sex immediately. Come for the pulp and punching Nazis. Sex is a bonus.

Some thoughts for this world and how it might work:

-What is the new world called?: I haven't figured that out yet. I'm terrible with names.

-There may be other portals to Earth which have yet to be discovered, and even portals to places other than Earth. Who built them and why? Unknown, its an ancient secret long forgotten and even the natives of this world don't have all the answers.

-I haven't worked out all the details of this world, but it is not like mars/barsoom. It actually has plenty of water to go around, so sailing and flight can be both valid options and is one of the ways the Nazis have spread their influence thanks to their U-boats, which is something the native people's never developed, even if they have airships.

-The other world has energy weapons and even some styles of kinetic weapons, but (in the style of Treasure Planet and John Carter) none of them are rapid fire. They take a shot and must either reload or wait a moment for the capacitor to charge up again. They never had industrialized warfare as we did on Earth and rapid fire/suppressing fire is not really a thing people thought of.  Revolvers might have never existed either. It helps add to the old timey planetary romance style.

It also helps to show how the Nazis spread their influence since when the Nazis arrive with MG-42s and SMGs, smaller Nazi units are able to pick fights with units larger than them, helping carve out territory and expand as they built up their industrial base and locations of power throughout the war. As they lost on Earth they dug their heels into this new world and have begun playing politics now that they know for sure that Earth is not a viable option for them any longer.

-Despite all of this, there are local villains, heroes, and other factions at play. The Nazis are just making things worse by spreading their ideology and giving technology to those who align with them.

-Friendly polities and nations in this world may be worried about openly aiding those fighting the Nazis, but will be willing to provide support under the table or perhaps signing on our heroes as mercenaries and having some deniability in letting the heroes go globetrotting and nazi fighting, until its finally time to openly wage war on the Nazis and finish them off.

-Other humans have been to this world in the times long gone, and left an impression or two upon it. Perhaps in the past there was a swashbuckling hero from England the likes of Alan Quartermain, who once saved the world and established a nation, civilizing the local catfolk* and teaching them to drink proper tea. Unlike us uncultured yanks :P

At the moment these people are the main opponent to the Nazis, but they have larger issues to deal with, so they are able to provide safe port and supplies, but they are limited in what they can do.

Perhaps women actually rise to prominence in this nation simply because its such an 'all hands on deck' situation.

*(Yeah I had Treasure Planet on the mind...Oh God that makes me feel so old! But it kind of works, the more civilized catfolk vs Kilrathi/Aslan expies who are more numerous and blood thirsty but lower on the tech/industry tree. They have become more dangerous as of late, thanks to the Nazis are of course trying to support the wild ones for their own gain. The Wild Ones are many but disunified in warring clans, while the civilized ones are few, but are organized, armed, and professionally trained).

-Since I'm going all in on self indulgence, yes there are multiple species on the planet. Humans, catfolk, others, and a species of Elven humanoids who call themselves the Telerians.

They are natural sailors who were always one with the seas, and perhaps even able to get skilled at sailing the solar winds for Airships.

They could fight but were not very warlike. They hunted leviathans in the ocean traded and charted new courses. Sailing and trading and shipbuilding were always their fortes and they enjoyed it.

Then the Nazis came asking for peace and for information. Things were calm at first, but eventually the Telerians found out what the Nazis were really like (and perhaps uncovered some evil plot) and in the ensuing arguments, the Nazis showed the kind of monsters they were. They openly attacked the Telerians and many of the elves were killed or enslaved. Not all were lost, but all have been affected by this.

Some have forsaken the sea from fear of Nazi U-boats and it hurts them to be apart from their ancestral home.

But some of them have sworn an oath to never stop fighting until every last Nazi has been purged from the world. (And when you have an elf's lifespan that is quite the oath). Anyone who is an enemy of the Nazis will find an ally in them, and any who gives succor to the Nazis, will find that these once peace-loving elves can be very dangerous enemies.

And that's nothing to say of what happens if the elves get aboard your ship ;)

-Are there more Allied survivors out there Angela could encounter?:  Maybe.

That's pretty much all I have really figured out at the moment, feel free to send me a PM if you like what you see and feel up for it. I'm more than happy to talk and answer any questions you may have, though I also reserve the right to turn you down if I feel we don't mesh well or aren't looking for the same thing here.

Bonus: Designed Angela in the Broken Compass system but gave her an extra Tag to help account for the lack of a full player party.
