Juggtacular

Oh yeah forgot she got killed too. She could escape with Thor, or disappear in the commotion. She's got plenty of ways to make herself scarce.

Empyrean

Understood.

Would this work then? Asgard was subjugated, and Odin knelt before his new master Doom. Thor wasn't best pleased, but abided by his father's wishes. Perhaps (and switching the mother from Circe to a living Amora), perhaps in his discontent and frustration, the Thunder God finally gave in to Amora's advances. The relationship might not have lasted long, or maybe, in spite of everything, they made it work. Either way, my girl was born and raised in Latveria. Or Asgard as subjugated by Latveria.

As for what brings her to Old New York (where the game begins, I believe?), it could be simple adventure. She's grown up now and true to Asgardian custom, she goes out to explore the world (s), trusting to her native divinity to protect her. Maybe she gets mixed up with Arachnophobia? Possibly her mother arranged for her to get mixed up with Arachnophobia so Doom could get a sample of the fear virus used to keep the Four at bay and devise a countermeasure? She could be a naive adventurer or a trained agent of Latveria.

TheBlackThrone

Oh wait. It can't be Amora. You need one DC and one Marvel parent.

Ah. Well, there's always Circe. Or someone else. I'll take a look at the DC side of things for a suitable parent. :)

Question: Is Wonder Woman available and suitable as the female parent?

Yes. Players are allowed to choose the same parent as another player so they're always available.

Empyrean

Name: Iris Amorasdottir (faceclaim: Anastasia Kvitko)
Alias: Aurora, Goddess of Speed
Age: 19
Birthdate: May 28, 5027. (Gemini)
Current Residence:  Valhalla, Asgard, Latveria
Birthplace: Castle of the Enchantress, Asgard, Latveria
Hometown: Castle of the Enchantress, Asgard, Latveria and its' surrounding town.
Allegiance: Doom
Occupation: Courier and messenger for Doom.

Gender: Female
Race: Asgardian/Metahuman hybrid
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 130 lbs.
Hair: Honey-blonde; long, straight.
Eyes: Brown with green sparkles
Complexion: Creamy
Overall Appearance: Iris is a tall woman with an hourglass figure. She inherited the curvaceous figure of her mother, the Enchantress, and her powers ensure that she stays lean and toned. She favors clothing that shows off her form, and that is resistant to her powers at the same time: generally form-fitting, constructed of special materials, and adorned with sparkling thread. When not on the job, she favors a range of attention-getting clothes, such as dresses, skirts, and suits that flatter her figure and come in all the latest fashions and styles Latveria has to offer.

Likes: Rainbows, parties, making new friends, social engagements, mead, snow, the colors purple and gold.
Dislikes: Being confined to one space, pain, boring assignments, boring people, repetitive environments, The Wasteland (so dull and monotonous!), Apokolips (talk about hotfoot!), self-righteous prudes.
Personal Goals: Iris is searching for wonder, excitement, and novelty. She sometimes wonders if, beyond the fields she knows, she'll find beauty and wonder to match or exceed her native Latveria. She feels that none of the lands of the Four match her home, but what if there's something out beyond the Wasteland that does? She wants to see!
Psychological Condition: Iris is hyperactive at the best of times. This is usually blamed on her powerset, but the young goddess has always been excitable and curious. Her parents had the hardest time keeping her from getting into just about everything as she was growing up. In humans, her condition would be described as ADHD.

Relationship Status: Single
Family: Wallace "Wally" West/The Flash (father). Amora/The Enchantress (mother).
Friends: PM me!
Acquaintances: The Asgardian gods (relatives on her mother's side), The Olympian gods (met at various Latverian functions), Arthur Curry/Aquaman and his wife Mera (friends of her father's).
Rivals: Black Racer (the Apokoliptian New God of Death is a speedster as well, which sometimes causes the two of them to meet in the course of their duties. Iris regards the Racer as friendly competition and they've had a number of races together off-the-clock. Iris has flirted with the Racer as well.)
Enemies: None she's aware of.

Weapons & Gear
This may not be relevant. Your character may not use any weapons because they have superpowers. This section is for those who actually have a weapon.
Asgardian Rapier
Description: A rapier-style sword made of good, solid Asgardian steel with a gold-hilt and handguard.
Quantity: 1
Weaponsmith: The dwarf blacksmith Eitri.

Asgardian Ashwood Bow and Steel Arrows
Magazine Capacity: 30
Weaponsmith: Leif the Bowyer, the best bowmaker and fletcher in Asgard. The bow is made from strong ashwood of the type used to construct the heavy buildings of the Asgardians. The arrows are solid steel, dwarf-forged.

Mansion of closets
Iris is a fashionista with a wide range of mundane but very sturdy clothing. Besides her green-accented silver uniform she uses when on duty, she has a variety of different clothes for different occasions, woven with gems, sparkling thread, and gold. She likes the colors red, purple, black, and gold.
Source: Her mother's vast wardrobe, and the gifts of Iris's own admirers among the couturiers of Latveria.

Powers:

Inherited from her father

Superhuman Speed: Iris inherited her father's super-speed, if not his connection to the Speed Force. She can move at speeds of up to 3000 miles an hour at maximum speed, leaving a trail of aurora-like rainbow light behind her as she moves. She creates sonic booms and friction fires as she kicks into overdrive.

Superhuman Reflexes: In keeping with her powers over speed, Iris has divine reflexes and perception to enable her to function at the speeds she moves at. She perceives the world in slow motion thanks to how fast her perceptions and reflexes are.

Inherited from her mother

Nigh-Immortality: Although Asgardians do age, they age in geologic time rather than mortal time. Barring a violent death, Iris will live for thousands or millions of years. While this level of immortality does make her immune to all known Earthly infections and diseases, and she won't show signs of aging for several millennia (if even then), it will not protect her against mortal injury.

Pheromones: Iris's mother has spent centuries refining her magic so that she is superhumanly, divinely perfect in appearance and at the arts of seduction and attraction. And while Iris grew up buffeted by Amora's lessons on the subject, she's not spent the time to hone her skills in that area. One thing she *did* inherit from her mother is that she gives off a scent of light pheromones that tends to make others notice her favorably at the least. It drifts about her in the form of a light jasmine perfume. Much to Amora's disappointment, Iris has not proven capable of using her scent to force others to love her blindly like the Enchantress herself can do. At best, she can cause mild attraction and fascination.

Weaknesses: Iris is fast and durable, but she's not the most durable. She lacks the robust defenses of a full Asgardian, such as the powerhouses of the pantheon like Odin, Thor, and Hela. She relies on speed and charm to get her out of trouble, rather than muscle. She lacks the Speed Force connection of her father, and has a hard time slowing down enough to learn sorcery like her mother did. Her speedster powers require a lot of calories for her to consume. In Latveria, she's famous for eating as much, if not more, than Volstagg the Voluminous. But where Volstagg's food goes to his gut, hers goes straight to her breasts and behind. On the few occasions she's been out of Latveria, she usually resorts to packing lots of high-calorie food into her messenger bag and pockets, and carefully rations her speed over long distances. Away from her sources of calories, she is very careful to regulate her speed for when she needs it. This is less of a problem in Latveria, where she can go full speed ahead and rely on Doom's largess. While she has her pheromones to fall back on in a pinch, her lack of control over them means that sometimes being an incredibly good-looking woman without the heavy-hitter powers of a full Asgardian or Olympian can get her into more trouble than it gets her out of. Much as her mother can't use her powers with her hands bound and her mouth gagged, Iris can't use her powers if her legs are bound or crippled in some way. Iris is not a good hand-to-hand combatant, much like her mother, and relies on high-speed hit-and-fade tactics with her bow from a distance to defend herself in the Wastes.

She's approved. Please familiarize yourself with the links posted on the first post (opening post OP) of this thread. You can go ahead and put her in the character thread and read up on things to help you get started.

Question...if I pick a parent with no real power (ex. Talia al Ghul/Lady Shiva or Elektra), would the character only get one power from the other parent? (Sorry if you already answered this and I didn't see it)
You could rattle the stars. You could do anything, if only you dared.
