It was far too rainy and cold outside, so what did he do? He bivouacked with the best of them between the living-room couch and coffee table. He envisioned that even hardened explorers would appreciate the sturdy cushion walls, the sloping sides of a handmade quilt and the curious eyes of a unicorn pillow staring down anyone who dare enter before the rightful owner of the very pink and paisley pillow fort. She would be there soon to inspect her lodgings for the evening. But first, she had to finish brushing her teeth and reading a bedtime story.

So perfect, Peri! All pillow forts. All the time! ;D I just love the last two sentences, took it to the next level. Nice drabble!
