« on: December 23, 2011, 10:15:56 PM »
Game is full

Base Story
About 2 months ago, three adventurers decided it would be a wise Idea too go into an abandoned crypt to go treasure hunting and possibly slay a few monsters that might be hiding in there. Little did they know, they did they know, that they would awaken the monster bound there. An Incubus sealed 100 years ago.

For the past few weeks, women have been going missing for several days, only to come back pregnant, with hardly any memory of what happened.

Knowing that is it the Incubus's doing, and that its they who screwed up, the adventures take it upon themselves to set things right.

Any limits on material? Psionics allowed?

And isn't 20pts for point buy a bit... low?

I'm up for this but I'm used to starting games at lv 1. So it will be odd for me to start at a higher lv and not earn it. :3

Like Shadow said though, what kind of limits and such are there?

I'm making a foxgirl duel wielding fighter with greater trip. So basically attack/attack/trip/AOO/attack. One more level and I get combat reflexes, so hee hee.

Hm. I'm writing it so that all three adventurers knew each other before the crypt exploration, either by previous errand, killed something decent sized together, whatever adventurers do before level 6.

The exact details are up to the three of you.

I think I'm gonna go with an Elan Telepath..... 8th level gives me telepathy out to 400ft ^_^

That can prove to be useful yes ^^

Indeed. The XPH was the first supplement book I bought when I first started playing d&d, so psionics is something I am rather fond of.

I'll of course need to pick up one or two damaging powers.... But I think I'll rely on Kit to be doing most of the damage.

I only do 1d6+3 per attack, but with 4 attacks. I'm mainly going to be disabling them with epic tripping and aoo's all the time anytime.

I'll be doing 1d6 damage at 40ft with Mind Thrust at will, which can be negated with a will save.

Beyond that, the only major damaging power I plan on having is Energy Bolt, which eats up 5pp every time I use it but deal's 5d6 damage in a 120ft line. Most of what I'll be doing is less combat and more social; False Sensory Input makes for some fun stuff.

Consider me interested... although I can't quite readily think of an interesting character I want to try...

Maybe a female cleric or paladin, just to contrast to Kit's personality and the Incubus himself. :p And if ShadowFox is a telepath, we'll have a sort of Strong/Fast/Brainy trio...

Hmmmm.. Awhile ago I played a vaguely arab paladin/rogue named Al-Shahid... maybe I'll go around the world again for character with possible native american themes. Maybe some weird multiclassing like a Paladin of Freedom/Barbarian. Although thematically, that doesn't sound right... The Native Americas never really had a 'Mujahideen' archetype to work with..

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Any suggestions? Your usual blonde and blue-eyed paladin just seems boring to me. :P

Hmmm, Oracle curse dooooes sound fun.

I always do love being sadistic in original ways.

I remember in one game, inside a trapped chest, was a monstrous bag of holding, they all knew then I was partially trying to kill them (this was when they were about level 2 or 3 and I didn't want them to find a real bag of holding yet).

Of course, then they found out a say to stun it, and close it. That was my favorite group of players, they not only accepted my death traps and constant pit falls, they somehow weaponized it for there own needs. Stuffing a cursed weighted orb  into the monstrous bag of holding to use in an emergency, which they dropped on a boss by destroying said Bag of holding and doing major damage to it.

Crit'd and great cleaved almost 3 heads off a hydra in a single turn. Due to a strange mixture of a natural 1 roll for me, and a natural 20 roll for them, they convinced an Orc 2nd in command to turn on his leader.

At the same time, there only real foe was each other.

First thing the Barbarian did was throw at a few orcs. The Table missed and hit the monk, who fell unconscious right then and there. The Sorcerer had a crossbow. It never hit an enemy once. It shot so many allies by mistake.

At one point the Barbarians weapon broke right before he was able to kill an early boss. The sorcerer, out of spells tried to fire his crossbow to finish him off, only to hit the Barbarian. The Barbarian ripped the bolt out of his skin (he passed the fortitude save and took the damage) and stabbed the Boss in the throat.

They were all complete psychopaths, which is probably why they were able to do so well. A foe gnome surrendered to give them info. They didn't trust him, so they covered him in honey (which one player insisted would be in the basic provisions, I admittedly caved for that one) and threw him down a spider pit, naked.

The monk was greedy and crazy. I shouldn't have allowed him to be like that. He took everything, he took the gnomes clothes. Later he took some heavy alcohol from a drunk Dwarf, I shrugged and said whatever, he even got some flint and steal. He eventually in one fight stuffed the gnomes clothes into alcohol bottle, lit it on fire and threw it at a group of enemies. He essentially made a Molotov cocktail.

Everyone stood there dumbfounded for a few moments. I began to wonder if that should be allowed, but it game for fun and I don't like stepping on creativity like that, so I let it slide. I was more careful about what to give him then.

Why did I just tell you all that.. I'm not sure, I guess i'm just reminiscing, that was my first and last really regular session. Most games I DM are rather random, whenever people get together sort of deal, or over skype / forums.

I completely lost track of what I was saying  ;D

Anyway. Welcome Lust.

Curses are great naughty fun when done right. Like with one of my other characters, where she got stuck in a cursed bunnysuit that was very embarrassing for her and how sensitive and lustful her body became. Where all of her actions were just painfully cute and adorable to watch.

As for fighting for it, well that's up to Who. I don't even have so much as an idea in my head yet and Lust already had a bit of a concept in mind. If he want's to add a fourth that's one thing, but I'm not gonna try to weed anyone out just because I got pulled away from the compy for work and someone else wanted to join. >:3

For some reason I feel like dismembering/decapitating orcs or somesuch with... an arrow.

Mechanics wise... I think this'll be it;

Elf
Paladin of Freedom 3/Barbarian 3
Str 16, Dex 16(+2 Racial), Con 10(-2 Racial), Int 10, Wis 10, Cha 14
1st: Ranged Smite Evil (BoED): You can use a smite evil attempt through a ranged weapon.
3rd: Point Blank Shot
6th: ????
Composite +3 Longbow (700 gp)
Composite +5 Longbow (900 gp) (*Probably just a higher-tension string fluff-wise, she'll restring the longbow during combat as a move-action instead of drawing it seperately)
50 Arrows (300 gp)
10 Adamantine Arrows (900 gp)

What do you think of a homebrew feat or feats allowing her to trade a second or third full-attack for a more powerful one? For instance...

Requirements: Point Blank Shot? Bab +6
Benefit: As a full-round action, you can trade an additional attack granted by your BaB to increase the damage done by your remaining attacks. Your remaining attack(s) suffer a -5 penalty to attack but the damage is doubled.

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Superior Version
Requirements: BaB +11
Benefit: Foregoing two additional attacks increases the penalty to -10 and triples the damage.

Greater Version
Requirements: BaB +16
Foregoing three attacks increases the penalty to -15 and quadruples the damage.

If you want to know what inspired this... go about 13 minutes into Princess Mononoke.

So, being level 6... and assuming she was raging, my character could forego an additional attack with her composite +5 longbow and deal a solid 1d8+5 damage multiplied by 2. That's anywhere between 12 to 26 damage per hit... and if she gets a critical, something between 24 to 52.

Fair warning, she could get up into the hundreds of damage with some proper gaming of the Greater Version or even Superior Version... perhaps they ought to be scrapped.

When I find the type to make a sheet proper I will, although I'm not certain about joining this game in earnest. As I said, I don't have any particular character concept in mind. Mechanically I can dig the Barbaladin but fluff-wise? Eehhhhhhhhhh, nothing's coming to mind. If that doesn't change, I'll have to bow out.

Afterall, the fluff is what's important.

Too adorable to attack? maybe.

Adorable enough to capture and be used as a sex slave for a horny incubus bent on populating the world with his kin. Just enough.

I should probably mention that this game is Non-Consensual style, and while this is a minor spoiler, The Incubus is Bi. If your really against getting raped by an incubus, I'll write it off as "your not his type" sort of deal, but otherwise, speak now or hold your peace.
