Truesdale Welcomes You!

Incorporated in 1883 and established as the seat of Lewis County, this Washington city is proud to be the home of roughly 7,000 residents spanning across the economic classes. It's thanks, in part, to the council's efforts of cultivating local businesses and a buzzing downtown. Truesdale sits off of Interstate 5 and about halfway between Seattle and Portland, surrounded primarily by farmlands and wooded areas. A railroad cuts through the town, splitting the western, rougher pocket from the rest.

In 2021, Truesdale opens its arms to a diverse walk of life. While narrow minds do exist among the populace, they belong to the minority.


Neighborhoods

The Den

Those who want to be closer to the downtown bars and events can find a home in The Den. This apartment building with a beautiful brick exterior spans five floors and completed development in 2008. It has a mix of studios and two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments, plus a parking lot in the back. It includes a laundry facility.


Pine Heights Park

Pine Heights is the only trailer park remaining in Truesdale, after the other, on the east side, was demolished in the mid nineties, its land later used for a nursing home. A few residents have whispered that Pine Heights will eventually meet a similar fate. It sits on the western edge of town. The pines give the place a quaint backdrop.


Heritage Hills

It's one of Truesdale's earliest neighborhoods. Some of the aging houses have seen a lack of upkeep within the past few decades. Between that and it residing on the rougher side of the tracks, the neighborhood offers more affordable properties compared to the east side of town.


Glen Creek

A middle-class subdivision lying on the eastern side of Truesdale, Glen Creek offers a short drive into downtown, and it is also conveniently located near the community center.


Hillcrest Estates

On the eastern fringes of the city, winding up the gentle hill, lies the small gated community of Truesdale's most affluent.

The Guidelines

• The GMs are Lyron, Amaris, and Vael the Destroyer.
• This is a sandbox where the stories will rest squarely within the players' hands. There will be events to bring characters together. Events may be suggested, and even led, by players with GM approval, which primarily is for coordination purposes.
• The town itself can be shaped by the players. For the sake of interactions, though, only one of each business type can have an owner and/or employees--e.g., one spa, one book store, etc. The exceptions are the bars and restaurants that have already been established.
• The group is seeking players who enjoy story and are interested in exploring the facets of life in a small city. Smut and romance are of course cool--heck, if a character wants to throw a sex party at the risk of judgment from their prudish neighbors, more power to 'em--but neither are meant to be the only focus, and character concepts should reflect this.
• Relaxed pace. Please try to post at least once within a two-week period, particularly for group scenes. Exceptions are granted as the need arises, because, hey, real life happens, but please communicate. All players who join are expected to be patient with slower posters.
• Some gritty plots and concepts are welcome. However, such ideas need to be kept reasonable in tone and in scope, and they need to be kept realistic, with an understanding of possible IC consequences. Also keep in mind that some players will want lighter stories, and their interests need to be respected; no forcing an idea onto someone. Concepts like serial killers or anything else that would appear in a work of horror will not be accepted. Nothing mafia-related, either, because it's a little overdone and it doesn't seem fitting for a small city. If you aren't sure about an idea, please feel free to ask!
• The sandbox will be placed in the Extreme section for more kink freedom only, not for gore or anything overly dark. This isn't meant to be that kind of group. Also, no bestiality. Keep in mind that players' offs must be respected.
• A post header will be provided in every IC thread. When a post contains sexual content or anything that may be triggering or uncomfortable, a warning needs to be included.
• No god-moding or meta-gaming without the other player's consent.
• Please be open to writing with others whom you may not be familiar with. Also please note that the effort you put into sandboxes will sometimes determine what you get out of them.
• If a player drops out, or indirectly makes it clear that they no longer want to be a part of the group, the GM does reserve the right to do anything to the player's character that is deemed necessary. This includes allowing someone else to adopt the character. Should that happen, the player's original sheet will of course be maintained so that it is still accessible to them.
• No OOC drama. If you are found to be stirring it or otherwise behaving in a way that is considered toxic to the group as a whole, you may be asked to leave, if not also reported to site staff when applicable.
• Please keep political, overly negative, or overly sexual/flirtatious subject matter out of the OOC. Elliquiy has better places for those.

Bio: Sadie grew up in Truesdale. She has been through quite a few men and women in her days and has a bit of a reputation here. If her sexual habits weren’t enough to keep the town talking then it was rumors about her drug addict mother that left when she was 17 and sometimes made random appearances back in town to try and get money from her only child. Not to mention her dead beat dad that was still around town somewhere. She sometimes ran into him throughout the town, but Sadie is unsure he even recognizes her and she doesn’t plan on reminding him. Sadie has worked at Hogwash for about 10 years and is rather skilled at her bartending job, but doesn’t have any education beyond high school and isn’t qualified for much else. Truesdale feels suffocating, but it’s likely where she will spend the rest of her life. In the same trailer that she lived in growing up unless they tear down the park. Then she has no idea what she will do.

Desired Plots:
-Possibly someone to play her biological father.
-A run-in with an ex or previous sexual partner
-Confrontation with someone who dislikes her due to the rumors that surround her or is just a dick about it.
-Someone that can stick by her side despite her toxic choices and maybe make her feel like she deserves more than she’s allowing herself.

A lot of her go-go-go energy comes from not wanting to deal with some personal issues and she deflects people from getting too close to her with her party girl attitude. She also self-medicates with alcohol and drugs, a habit she has under control for now but that won’t be the case if things keep going the way they are.

Bio: Charli grew up about an hour away from Truesdale in an upper middle class family. Things were pretty good… other than knowing from an early age she was in the wrong body. When she came out to her family at sixteen the reception was not ideal. Her father was confused and her mother horrified. Fortunately Charli had an older sister who stuck by her and helped her parents understand her need to transition. Her peers at school were quite a bit more accepting and she had a solid group of friends looking out for her. Over the next few years Charli’s father grew more accepting, although he still feels awkward. Unfortunately things with her mother remain icy. This is why she chose to go to Baymon where she studies sociology, so there would be a bit of distance there without making it too clear that’s what she was doing. Her family pays for her tuition but for rent and spending money she works as a cam girl under the name Victoria Venus.

Desired Plots: Is there anything in particular you would like to explore with your character?
-Charli loves being a cam girl but there could be consequences if she is exposed as one.
-On the other hand the money she makes has her wondering if she should be getting deeper into the business.
-Charli has an interest in local politics and feels young people should have more of a voice.
-Her partying could go beyond her control and her grade might suffer.

Ons: Charli is an exhibitionist, hence her side hustle. She loves being naked outside and sunbathes nude when she has the chance. A BDSM enthusiast, she prefers to be the submissive but will occasionally switch. Charli also tends to bottom when it comes to penetration as she loves anal although she changes it up every now and again. Hormones and implants have made her breasts quite sensitive so giving them attention really turns her on. Her wildest kind is golden showers, both giving and receiving.

Bio: Miles has always been good at sports. It doesn’t matter what he tries athletically, he seems to be good at it. He was the star quarterback of Truesdale high, but unlike most star athletes he doesn’t exude confidence. He isn’t the life of a party, he is generally the one off to the side or in a corner somewhere. He is awkward and can usually be found with earbuds in to avoid as many social situations as possible. Miles once cried after running in the winning touchdown of a championship game his Junior year, he has never lived it down. He is the son of a college professor (Mother) and a Nurse (Father). He and his brother lived a middle-class life normal life for the most part. He was offered a football scholarship to Baymont but he didn’t want the pressure and instead went to work at the local gym. While he was employed he made sure to take some self defense classes, catching on pretty quickly as he did most things that involving any athleticism. It didn't take him long to become a personal trainer there before starting his own personal training business. He now has enough clients to have a steady income and no longer needed his job at the gym but still frequents it to keep himself healthy and fit. With his business just starting and given the nature of it, he is not open about his sexuality. This is due to his own insecurities and fears as well as not wanting to lose clients which often are straight men. He doesn’t necessarily hide it either and is out to his family and close friends.

Personality: Evan is, simply, a dreamer. Despite the general average-mess of her life, she stays positive and tries to be kind to all whom she meets. Her greatest joys come from burying herself in a good book, and also helping others find books with which to do the same. Generally shy, she comes into her own in the library, one of the few places where she is truly comfortable. She will instantly bond with anyone who shares her taste in literature. Still, the many quirks of her personality, including her biting sarcasm, is only revealed to those who she knows well.

Bio: Growing up fairly average in a small town has its definite downsides. Not the best student (she’s smart, but perhaps unfocused), not the best athlete (coordination is a problem), and lacking in connections, Evan could never see an escape from Truesdale. Still, she has never been the kind of girl to dwell in her misfortunes, and turns instead to the fantasies in her head and in her books. An avid writer and even more avid reader, taking the open job in the town library was the most natural next step after her graduation from high school. Given a definitive lack of finances, college never even crossed her mind, though she’ll save up to sign up for the occasional writing class at the local community college.

An only daughter to a single mother Evan is fiercely loyal to her little family of two. Though she long reached the natural age to wonder about her father’s identity, she never has or will broach the subject. She was a happy accident of a few love-filled nights while her mother was on a rare vacation. When the pregnancy test turned positive, her mother independent mother opted not to burden the father, and that was that. No hard feelings, no court battles, and thankfully, no abuse.

Desired Plots:

• New hire at the library! Will they get along swimmingly, or become instant enemies?
• A mysterious benefactor offers to pay for Evan’s college education. Will she take them up on the offer? How will she thank them?
• Open to all ideas!

Ons: Whirlwind romances. Intense lovemaking, which may include domination, dirty talk, bondage, impact play, as long as it is followed by lots of aftercare! As such, she generally plays submissive, but when riled up, she can and will absolutely switch. Love bites. Roleplaying.
