Fractus

In the land of Fractus the world we live in is shared with dragons. Dragons have come to accept and live alongside humans for the survival and future of the lands. But not all feel that way both human and dragon kind alike. Dragons and humans are able to form bonds that allow humans to ride them, understand them, and use them in everyday life. But the bond also helps the dragons reach full potential. In the past dragons would eat and feed on humans for the essence they need to mature and grow and live long lives. With the truce between them the dragons had to find a new way to receive the essence. It was found that dragons could receive essence from the human they are bonded to through "physical contact". The more intense and strong the bond between the two the more essence was shared. Dragons began taking human form to receive the essence but afterwards realized becoming a dragon again required the human they bonded to. Thous that bonded with dragons were from that point called The Fated. Thous destined to be riders. When a pair is found it is almost always at a breeding ground. Dragons may...or may not allow humans into the breeding grounds depending on the dragon. But the bond is made as soon as a human enters the ground. They are almost guided to the dragon egg with their partner. Thus the name Fated.

(A)Dragail is an academy that is funded and supported by the United Dragon Human Allied Nations. Or UDHAN Corp as it is commonly known. It was made to train young dragon riders properly. Not only do they learn more about the dragons they are bonded to but they learn how to fight alongside them. The academy itself is the size of a small country to accommodate living arrangements as well as breeding grounds for the dragons.

(B)The Kingdom of Linx is the largest and most diverse land in Fractus. Dragons of many types are born and raised in these lands. They are mostly peaceful with the humans and openly invite humans into the breeding grounds. The UDHAN Corp main headquarters is located here. It is run by the ruler of the Kingdom. Lord Calen Linx the Third. His family has ruled the lands for many years. His great grandfather was the first human to be named Fated and brought the unity into place when he and his dragon partner  stopped the 2nd great Dragon-Human war.

(C)Gravis is a wasteland mostly populated by dragons with a few outlying towns. The land is very dangerous and the dragons are not as friendly but bonds made with them are strong. Dragons born in Gravis are almost always flightless. But even so they are some of the most fearsome. They fear no other dragon and have great pride in the power of their bodies.

(D)The Kingdom of Kenz is a small kingdom but known for its power. The kingdom has been known to produce some of the strongest fire dragons known to history. Both flying and non flying type dragons have been seen from this nation but they all almost always produce fire elemental powers and skills. The ruler King Ravus has a deep seated hate for dragons. But he knows his kingdom is too small to challenge the UDHAN Corp. For now at least. Dragons are treated more as property, pets, and tools in the kingdom. The bonds created reflect more of a master slave role than that of a partnership. Regardless the bond the riders of this kingdom share a power all their own.

To the west the lands of Himori(E) and Tygus(F) remain mostly unexplored and unfounded by the humans. Himori is the land of the ancients to the dragons. To this date humans have been forbidden to enter. Tygus to the north of Himori is run by

Olaris

A Spectral dragon that has been alive for centuries. Many dragons say he should have passed to Himori years ago but the unity of human and dragon kind changed his mind. He is bent to one day purge the world of human kind. And any dragon that may step in his way. Many dragons follow him. If not out of respect, then out of fear.

Dragons and Humans

Dragons are all different with there own set of skills abilities and traits. Dragons typically eat the same foods as humans but have been noted to become intoxicated much quicker than humans. They also sport a larger libido. Even when dragons take human form they retain slightly pointy ears and eyes that still resemble a dragon. A special trait dragons have is called the Dracona. A mental database for the knowledge and memories of dragons that came before them. They say the knowledge comes from Himori but humans know nothing else of it. Young dragons use it frequently for information on things they dont understand. Although ancient dragon knowledge sometimes fall short when it comes to humans. To humans they may have been at peace for a long time. But for dragons it is still new. Information on humans is constantly being added and changed.

All dragons can swim but it has been noticed that flightless dragons excel in swimming more so than their cousins with wings. But dragons able to fly seem to be able to access their magical skills and abilities much easier. Not to say that flightless dragons do not have powers to equal that. But flightless dragons tend to boast about the physical strength over the magical. Flying dragons on the other hand seem to find themselves smarter and more powerful than flightless for the opposite reasons. A fight between dragons over this debate is quite common.

Dragons have 3 main forms. Human form, Half shift, and Full dragon. Once a dragon and a human are bonded a human form is taken by the young dragon. Its half shift form is all a young bonded dragon is able to take on its own without it's human around. At half shift a dragon has access to the Dracona and 35% of its magical abilities as well as 50% of its natural strength. (At half shift flightless dragons are easily strongest.) Full shift can only be achieved with the presence of a partner. As the rider constantly feeds the dragon essence through touch. A dragon can receive and fill up on essence through other activities. Unbonded dragons can still only receive essence by eating humans. Some have even tried draining humans blood slowly as to make them last longer. As the days of simply hunting them have come to an end.

Dragons that have bonded with Humans can share thoughts with their partner. Their minds become almost as one and the most skilled pairs have boasted that their hearts became one. At full shift for a dragon, human riders gain a sort of half shift that give them 50% of the dragons physical strength and 75% of its magical ability. Besides being able to control the magical powers the dragon may have (to individual ability) but they are also able to manifest a soul weapon. A weapon made up of the bond between dragon and rider. The stronger the bond the strong the weapon. If a bond is weak then they weapon crumbles in the wind, returning to the nothingness it was created from.

The power differences in the half shifts between humans and dragons seems to be based on the type of transformation. For a dragon its more of a physical change but for a human to use a dragons skill and or powers its more of a magical change. Non flying types and their riders will always excel in physical strength regardless of the half shift. But riders of flying dragons excel in half shifted form from the magical boost.

So I was thinking that everyone play one half of the pair. So either a human or a dragon. Girls or boys and all pairs accepted. I won't push my thoughts or ideals on anyone. It may also be nice if everyone creates one of each just in case there are not enough players for each human to have a dragon or vise verse. Having everyone start out as first years at the academy and moving from there. I think if everyone puts up characters and then message in dm's to pick pairs it will make it more interesting game. Also you can talk about each others ons and offs and such to make sure no one is unhappy in a pair and that the rp flows nicely. Thoughts and ideas??

Bio: Shizuka is the direct descendant of the Grand Fire Dragon Elzura. Her pride as such has turned many humans away from bonding with her. She feels it is below her to want to bond with a human. She knows that she will never grow to her potential without a Fated but she fears its too late. The pendant around her neck is filled with essence given to her by a elder so that she could make it to the academy on her own. Secretly hoping to find her Fated Shizuka joins the academy as an unmanned dragon which marks her as dangerous to the humans.

Main Character - Flying Dragon: Tetsu - First Year

Name: Tetsu
Race: Dragon: Flying
Birthplace: Tygus
Personality: Varies with each of his forms, he has a multiple personality complex going on.
Human: Tetsu has some strong stereotypical issues when being in human form and by all means, he takes it to the extreme. He plays the role of weak and helpless all too well; of course, this is from his own keen points of viewing humans as such that it influences him to act in this manner. Not only that, but he loathes being human amongst everything else and often time tries to conceal his identity whiles restricted as such. He is more quiet and reserve and generally keeps to himself, some at the academy may see it as a blessing for him to remain in this state as much as he foresees it as a curse.
Half Dragon: His half dragon form makes him more rambunctious in nature. He is always, always picking a fight with every other dragon he may cross paths with, even if it ends up as physical brawls with the stronger land dragons. He has a strong alpha complex going on in mentally, seeing himself as number one and always attempting to challenge everything in his path. This of course may make him quite the troublemaker around the academy, not to mention tarnish his reputation further as he is often at the same time foreseen as the weakest of dragons given his piling lost record. He makes it a habit to not show his true ability skill against fellow 'comrades,' and those that seen him fight usually just see a changing in tint of his scales, which could lead to assumptions that he is only absorbing their powers for defense as he doesn't use it offensively. 
Dragon: His dragon persona is the most terrifying of them all, maybe not as downright evil as some dragons from Tygus may be- although it would of been if not for past events,- but still it leaves much more to be desired. As a dragon, his primary goal is the enslavement of humankind, although he has yet to make any bold attempts to such but some can see it in his manner of speech in his true form. He looks down on mortals and even dragons that may be bonded to them, who may kneel over willingly to their riders. He is a bit more stubborn and colder in nature.
Special Skills/Powers: Mimicry. A natural ability, although not without limits. Tetsu possesses a rare trait in copying another dragon’s power for his own. Although it is also a dangerous power in itself as he must take damage from whatever source to store it. The colors of his scales change as a result to reflect the elements or characteristics of the powers he learns. He can only presently possess three powers at one time and when a new one is gained the oldest is replaced.  Not only that, but the proficiency of that power is lowered each time he takes on an additional one. (Example, if he is just mimicking fire he would be 100% control over it, but if there is other elements such as ice and/or lightening added then his control will drop to 50% for two and 33% with all three.) Also what powers he has gained are immediately lost should he ever assume human form for whatever reason.
Soul Weapon: (empty till pair is confirmed)
Bio: Much of Tetsu’s past is unknown and that which is, is mere fabrication to the entire school body. He claims to be from the Linx Kingdom, though usually shrugs off the politics of who may be in charge there by titling them as ‘some human’ or ‘I don’t have time to worry who rules humans,’ and other dodgy answers of that nature. One reason is the fact that his Dracona is not as up to date as other dragons may be, so even in historical fields he falls at a short end of the stick.

His reason of being at the Academy is simple enough, a project from orders from Olaris passed down from his superiors which came down to him along with a few other dragons at the time. The subjugation of the human race, probably a tall command to accomplish alone, though the Academy itself is a prime example to be targeted with its raising of dragons and humans alike.  Of course it is up to Tetsu how to go about this ordeal and even he does not know how many others had infiltrated the Academy to carry out this mission.

This also reflects to some of his habits in confrontation when not going all out against a fellow dragon. He sees no need of alarming the others of his tricks, allowing them to merely believe him to be one of the weakest at the Academy. He is somewhat discrete about  his duties and intends to achieve them at his pace, This does not mean he cannot have a bit of fun as well in studying his prey and relaying any potential threats back to his superiors should chances surface.

Name: Felicia Godwind
Race: Human
Birthplace: Kenz
Personality: Felicia is what many may call a perfectionist and coming from Kenz does not save grace of her very persona. She is cold towards any she may consider to be beneath her. Being a member of the disciplinary community within Dragail has even further sour her character, some may say(of course, don't let her catch on to that.) She does not have time for goofing off or playing around, diligent in her duties inside and outside of the Academy. Her opinions on dragons are the same that many in Kenz share, that they are nothing more than pets, property of their owners. She also does not care what one's social status may be in the world, it will not alter her judgment in abiding by the rules and principles that the Academy itself has set for its students. If someone believes in the slightest that their title in life will save them from her punishment, then they have another thing coming. Beyond this, she is mostly seen alone or being trailed behind by a smaller group of those that may be considered to be 'elites'  of the Disciplinary community.

NPC - Gliding Dragon: Obisa - Bonded to Felicia

Name: Obisa
Race: Dragon: Glider
Birthplace: Gravis
Personality: Obisa is not very much a people person, more often keeping to herself than anything else. She actively does not engage in conflict with others, unless absolutely necessary and there are few to hear her even talk. Some may expect it could be a temperament trait to her species as she is also found lounging in some of the strangest or harder to reach places throughout the Academy. She does make a habit to conceal herself or presence from others as much as possible and usually she does ’shadow’ her owner around in the distance. 
Special Skills/Powers: Paralysis. Not one possessing a lot of strength as land dragons are notorious known for, she uses her smaller stature and high agile reflexes to the fullest with her paralyzing ability. She can induce chemicals from her talons, fangs, and even the razors within her tail to numb an opposing target and leave them at her mercy. Not only this, but she often whips her tail around to send the razors flying at an opponent or even group, leaving her not just limited to close quarter combat. The potency of course depends on the opponent, although once enough build up is reach they will find themselves at the mercy of Obisa.

What is the tech lvl in this game?

As far as technology goes in this world it is mainly a magic based. No internet or cars or such. But cell phones are present and work through magic for military and school uses mainly. And the kingdom of kenz is the only holders of anti dragon ranged weapons. Magically powers "guns" of sorts. They shoot an energy that is harmful to a dragons essence flow.

Bio: Born as a powerful fire dragon, he was nonetheless not exactly treated particularly well in Kenz. Though his own line can be considered that of a Draconic noble type, he was subject to the kind of discrimination typical of the kingdom. As such, whilst to a degree arrogant, he harbours both a superiority and an inferiority complex, despite his intelligence. He's often serious, yet at the same time disdainful of others, often laughing when opponents claim that they can defeat him, unless they tie in with things he's come to fear.

He possesses both a superiority complex and an inferiority complex. He usually considers most other people weaker, and beneath him. He treats them as you might expect, yet when he believes others to be stronger- a rare thing indeed, or they have proven themselves to be stronger, Yashamaru obsesses over them, wanting to become as strong as them, yet also seeming fanatical towards them, and perhaps as scared of them. He believes honesty to be a naive trait held by the foolish, and trusts no one, accordingly. He can seem quite charming and friendly, though he usually only has his own interests at heart, not believing others to be capable of truly caring. He can be manipulative, though he's often just distant and overcautious. At times, he can seem emotionless, with his odd state perhaps being the cause of that.Whilst appearing quite manipulative- a form of psychological counter-measure to the way others have manipulated and treated him, he's also quite uncomfortable around women, and could be considered something of a tsundere. Part of his past may have included a few human noblewomen treating him like trash at various points.

Sometimes he can be brutal, impulsive, excessively-violent and possessing of a lethally-short temper. However, despite his aggression and obvious blood lust in battle, he can possess a feral cunning and has a knack for quickly exploiting any opening his opponent reveals. In addition, he can be blunt and sarcastic, revealing a psychotic grin or laughing maniacally whenever he becomes excited sometimes, or eerily silent, cold and disdainful at other times. He is also very rude and quite disrespectful at times, and mockingly polite, cunning and manipulative at others. Though most of these aspects are elements of a complex personality created in order to deal with his dark and not exactly pleasant past, with such an array of façades created as a result. Not unsurprisingly, he's also avoided bonding whenever he could. Due to a certain affinity to conflict, he's become quite a skilled swordsman whilst in human form.

He ended up convincing himself to come to the academy, though he holds no trust for humans, and even holding such an emotion for his own kind is a rarity. Not particularly burdened by morals, he has little issue regarding killing humans in secret to gain their essence if necessary. Though he knows that will inevitably make him suffer further at the hands of humans, in due time.

Despite his warped personality, he enjoys nature and can be seen to be friendly with various wild animals, who seem to be quite friendly in return. Not in any odd way, in case you're wondering.

I was wondering how dragons age. Since they meet their human while still in their egg how long does it take them to become adults? And are you thinking that the game would be more about already comfortable together pairs or newer ones?

Dragons age quickly at first. At least it seems quick to humans. To other dragons recently hatched dragons no matter how they appear in age are still babies. An adult dragon has lived at least 1 century. As far as the bond/time for each pair that is dependent on the pairs. For example, my dragon has yet to met her pair but has already come to the academy. That is rare but happens. So when pairs meet and how they come can be between the two. If you wish to rp the hatching process and such I have no problems with it.

BUT we do need some human cs's to bond to these dragons!!!!

When a dragon and human bond the life of a human does not get extended. But when the human reaches the end of its life and is bonded then he/she can give the remaining essence. What happens after that is "unknown" to humans as well as how it is done.

It is possible to be a dragon and not bonded as mine is but please explain how you traveled to the academy. And yes i would like most pairs already bonded if possible.

I will be applying with just a human, if that's ok. I will make a dragon, if needed. Also, it was my understanding dragons only needed humans to reach adulthood. I'm not surprised the humans don't gain longer life spans from that.

By the way, I'm more interested in a flightless dragon as a partner. But I will take a flying one if I must. Will have a human character up later tonight.

Personality:To the world around her she is a well manner, exceedingly educated and poised young woman. She has the air of royalty around her as did her mother despite the way her father looks down upon her. She holds her head high and tries to keep her strength intact no matter what comes her way.

But within her heart she is anything but a tamed Princess. She has found a way to make sure her voice is heard, even when she has been painfully reminded that she should never speak her mind. When she believes the eyes of the kingdom are else where she is who she has always wanted to be. Knowing that if she was caught her fathers wrath would be like no others. Inara still runs off to explore the woods or towns around them. Taking on learning skills such as archery, guns and swordsmanship.  And for ever proving she is not nearly as tamed or as weak as they would think she is.

Bio: Inara was born to be a princess; her grand bloodline was filled with leaders. The daughter of the Emperors new wife, she is not only the youngest but also the only female child. And even as a young child she was expected to honor that blood line to the best of her abilities. Which were expected...no demanded to be the best despite what seemed a weakened state in her younger years.

The small princess was born with a strange affliction that rendered her with a weak heart, and as such always appeared weak in her father’s eyes, a disgrace to his strong family line. And yet she was the only female so she still held merit and was protected as such. But she had certain skills in getting away from her fathers most skilled guardsmen.  Inara loved the gardens at a young age, and would spend hours getting lost in them. During one of these moments Inara ventured father then she ever had. Then only 7 years old she came upon a strange sight, an egg that was even bigger then she was. Her small imagination went wild and she was certain it was meant for her. So for several days she would come and visit the egg telling it all about her days and sharing how harsh her father had been. Giving the egg a small kiss before leaving she'd wish it goodnight only to come right back the next day.

That is until she was followed by her father’s guards, the King demanding to know where the young girl would wonder off too. When she was discovered they alarm was raised and confusion surrounded the young girl and her treasure. Try as she might Inara was no match for the grown men, the egg taken away as it was a dragon egg and beyond her understanding these magical creatures were hated. Inara was caned by her father and locked away in her room for several weeks, the healers saw to her wounds so there would be no lasting scars or damage...at least to her body. The king saw a need to tame the wild spirit of his daughter before she got to many wrong ideas. And as soon as she was able the lessons began.

Languages, art, history, politics, diplomacy...and countless other lessons were all pushed upon her. She was expected to not only do her best but to be the best. And failures were harshly punished and corrected, though her father was always careful not to leave a lasting mark upon her. And at most times used what she cared about most against her. But her parents always insisted it was for her own good, that she would one day have to rise to the occasion. Sadly as she found out later that meant that she would only be rising to a political marriage.

All those lessons all that time and it would all go to marrying her off. It was after an argument with her father that things started to change within her. She had always been a willful child, but her need for freedom grew tenfold over the next few years. She would sneak out and explore the woods, or towns around their kingdom. Actually getting lost a few times, but as always her father would send his greatest guards and they would bring her back. She took to learning archery and even picking up a sword one day. It was against her father’s orders, but it was clear during her free time she would chose to do or learn whatever she wanted to, though many of her choices were frown upon as they were seen as unlady like.

Her older brothers were always the ones meant for greatness in her father’s eyes. So when the kingdom once again had to show its...reluctant willingness to follow the choice of siding with dragons he was asked to send at least one of his own children to attend the school. There was unrest and choosing who would go was difficult. The King did not wish to send his eldest son, yet he wanted to send someone of skill. It was then Inara spoke up, stating she would freely go. Her father thought it a horrible idea, she was too weak, and would never suit at representing their country. It was then she challenged any of her brothers to a duel or contest of their choosing, only if she won would Inara be allowed to go. Thinking this would not only make his choice easier but also put the young hot blooded princess in her place The King agreed. And to everyone's surprise no matter that challenge Inara stood the victor.

Unable to deny his word King Ravus sent his daughter to the academy. Knowing he'd get something in his favor no matter the outcome. If she failed and fell while trying to bond with a dragon she'd be out of his hair, and the other kingdoms would allow leave him be to seemingly mourn the loss. But if she succeeded Inara would make him and the kingdom look well favored in rest of the world’s eyes. No matter the outcome he was sure he'd be happy with it. And Inara could not have been happier about leaving the cage of her life and the harsh eyes of her father behind, feeling as if she were free for the first time in her life.

Bio: Shinryuu or Shin as he is also called by those close to him was born at the harsh land of grevis. One of the more rare flying dragon breed, he is unique both for his color and his element. Growing up in the harsh environment taught him to survive and tempers his strength. Having lost his real parents in his childhood, he was adopted and raised by a human who taught him of relationship between human and dragon. Several years later, rumour arise of a black dragon protecting human city from another dragon attack which the academy sends an envoy to investigate. Later, the same envoy invites him to the academy, promising that he will be stronger once he found his "Fated" partner, an offer than Shin readily accepts.

Hey BL i love the dragon but i have to ask you to limit you dragons abilities. Each dragon is special in one specific thing. If you have control of an element then you and your rider get resistance to it. To have resistance to all elements would be a skill of its own. Highspeed flight/movement is also a skill of its own.

Now if the writers don't want to write with a same sex counter part then we need 2 more female humans, and one female dragon. But I never assume anything when it comes to that preference as my characters very in that area sometimes LOL. Again this is just what it looks like to me, :) Hopefully we get a few more solid players I know its hard to attract attention for a game that requires partners sometimes. This is so people can see we still welcome and need all types and aren't trying to limit anyway. :)

Kyrium always knew who he was fated to be with. From before he was even born. The sound of her voice, her stories, her hands, and her kisses. Even as an egg she showed him love. But when he was born she was gone. Instead Krium was met with chains and guards. "If you are to be of use to Inara one day you will do so properly. I will not have two disappointments." These were the first words spoken to Kyrium after his hatching. Not the voice he remembered. But he was clearly one he wouldn't forget. He had heard stories of him. King Ravus. Kyrium didn't speak. He wasn't worthy of his words.

Kyrium's days were filled with proper knight training. His nights with battles against fully paired dragons. King Ravus was ruthless. But Kyrium endured knowing that it would lead to Inara. Kyrium was a land dragon, King Ravus felt this another weakness when compared to the strength of the flying dragons in him guard. One of the rare time Kyrium ever spoke to Ravus he called him a fool for the fact. Kyriums control of wind though not as powerful as a flying dragons would be is destructive when matched with his natural strength as a land dragon. And Kyrium's harsh training only increased his talents.

When Inara was being sent away, King Ravus came and released Kyrium. "Protect her. But never speak of my keeping you. If you dragons put so much stock in your bonds. Show me you're both not useless." For the first time Kyrium felt a slight respect for the man. Enough to at least acknowledge him as such. "Of Course King Ravus." As a taunt Kyrium even bowed before he walked away.

I do hope you'll excuse my complicating the dilemma regarding "how many what of which gender" a bit.

I confess I was tempted to throw a mildly sadistic male dragon in with purely male/male inclinations and was a little disappointed to see that it looks like there isn't much in the way of pairing options for one such.

Then again...Oh snap. That doesn't mean the GM couldn't bond him with a female, but that would end up being one hell of an interesting relationship and a bond with all kinds of built-in troubles. Not for someone who didn't enjoy almost pathologically conflicted relationships. (Why yes I just might.)

If I may make a suggestion about this:

The "wind force" argument might mean that some dragon riders use saddles, and some don't.

It seems to me tha the lightning argument supports KnightNelson20's decision by using "rule of cool," i.e., dragon/rider pairs with electrical power can "ride the storm" with impunity, it becomes "friendly" weather for them, perhaps even helpful, while for others without that power it is dangerous and terrible. This seems like it would reflect similar benefits that might be enjoyed by, for instance, a frost/cold dragon/rider pair in a snowy environment (slows others down, saps heat even from fire dragons) or a fire dragon/rider pair in a forest-fire/volcanic or lava environment.

In each case, "rule of cool" suggests that special powers which match the environment should give dramatic bonuses (and even home turf advantage perhaps) to dragon/rider pairs whose powers match, and be a challenge to those with "opposing" powers.

It makes choosing powers matter for something besides "what is the special effect of my breath weapon/color of my dragon."

Which is cool.

TenrinJoo is originally a burrowing dragon who lived in a mountainous area defeating anyone who claimed to threaten his home. One day he proclaimed his dissatisfaction and desire for a stronger opponent, but was suddenly approached by a scout of King Ravus proclaiming the young dragon would find what he desired in The Kingdom of Kenz. Not interested due to his belief he was too strong to be the rule of a human and derided Ravus, saying he didn't want to be in the same ranks as weaklings, which caused the king to attempt to use force to make TenrinJoo join him.

After an arduous fight with a dragon of Kenz, which left him marveling at each their skill, TenrinJoo let the match settle as a draw and promised to join as long as the fights were as interesting as the one. It wasn't until he met a human male that he could see as some kind of mentor who had once fought against dragons. "The world has become a boring place. That fool claims he'll uproot UDHAN. He has this grand plan for it all. He actually thinks he can accomplish such a task. Ridiculous!" the young dragon agreed with his 'mentor' until his untimely death, and he was blamed for the his masters demise without a shred of proof. The King claimed he was more of a risk than an asset; and gave the dragon two choices. The first being he found a suitable partner in which to bond with or to kneel before The King in servitude. As much as he did not desire to be paired with a meager human it seemed better than bow before such a devious tyrant.

A few things. I dont mind you being able to shift into a molten form but i will state that even your bonded mate would not be able to ride you in this form. They will also be unable to turn into magma themselves. As for controlling the constructs your create out of Magma that will be allowed. Also as a land dragon your magic will be lesser of a flying dragon. So a dragon with affinity for fire or heat would be able to withstand your heat and easily break your constructs. But to rush them in a magmatized form would be more effective and overpower them as the physical aspect.

I like your background, the only thing i have to say is that a dragons power can not be sealed by anyone/thing other than an ancient spell known only to, ancients of course and few other dragons that are able to access that level of knowledge from the Dracona. (dragons mental database) To date the only immature dragon able to access such knowledge is Shizuka and only because of her linage. She lacks enough essence to use such a ability thou.

Dragons abilities are only limited to the amount of essence they have as it serves as their energy. Dragons will always retain 25% of their essence until death. But at 25% a dragon can barely maintain half shifted form. A dragon must have at least 80% essence for a full dragon shift. I will be soon adding how essence is used and gained, as well as how battles and such work later tonight after im off work.

Reyna lost her parents at a very young age due to the chaotic nature of their village. She was forced from her home and was doomed to roam the land as a soon to be dead vagrant before she was found by a small company of knights from Kenz. Their commander was merciful enough to see the girl had some potential and offered to take her in as a personal vassal, training her in the ways of the Knight's Code.

Now at the ripe young age of twenty Reyna has been proven, showing off supreme discipline and a strict follower of the code. her sword skills has also flourished under the previous Knight-Commander's tutelage, making her a formidable opponent. But to endanger her academy or students would bring down the power of an ancient. ( though i wouldnt recommend mentioning the word ancient in her presence. )

The aspects of destruction excites him the most due to his belief that 'true beauty' is seen in destruction. He is also extremely vain and narcissistic, as he describes that a peasant being being led to one of noble birth should consider it an honor of the highest caliber, despite their race be it human or dragon. He is probably the most mentally unbalanced when compared to other princes.

However despite his indolence, he is a capable tactician when creating battle plans. The prince takes great pride in his strategies and refers to them as flawless, but can easily be surprised when his plans are thwarted by an unprecedented issue. The prince is also somewhat cowardly as he refuses to face threats in person and generally uses those around him to confront his opponents on his behalf.

Was born from the King's secret lover. The young Bastille was kept from the public eye of the people. The prince shares very little resemblance to his father besides the fact King Linx had selected his mother due to her beauty, and she being pure and had swore to stay faithful to the king as long as she drew breath. However when the Queen had found out of this bastard child she quickly swept the infant away and had the woman placed in prison for her adultery. At an early age he was taught that he was better than those around him by the Queen and one day he would be remembered like his grandfather had been.

Bastille found comfort in studying rather than combat. Picking up a book rather than the sword, yet adapted to having others pull the punches while he sat pretty from the sidelines. As he grew older he'd sneak out of the castle and observe the common folk until the day he was attacked by a thief and left a scar upon his face when he refused to give the man his money. Something in the prince snapped within him and he turned into what he is today. Seeing people as pawns while keeping the facade of a decent person. Those that have seen the real nature of the man would say otherwise.

Wondering if it was alright if there may be a third dragon archetype, Gliders.

I was thinking of them something along a higher evasive/agility field. Since we have ones base solely on strength or magic. They may also be much smaller in dragon form than their flying or ground related relatives. Of course unlike Land Dragons, they can fly for very short periods of time and glide for much longer.

Personality: See bio, I kinda got it mixed up with it.
Special Skills/Powers: Fire Manipulation. Supernatural Regeneration.

Bio: Born as a powerful fire dragon, he was nonetheless not exactly treated particularly well in Kenz. Though his own line can be considered that of a Draconic noble type, he was subject to the kind of discrimination typical of the kingdom. As such, whilst to a degree arrogant, he harbours both a superiority and an inferiority complex, despite his intelligence. He's often serious, yet at the same time disdainful of others, often laughing when opponents claim that they can defeat him, unless they tie in with things he's come to fear.

He possesses both a superiority complex and an inferiority complex. He usually considers most other people weaker, and beneath him. He treats them as you might expect, yet when he believes others to be stronger- a rare thing indeed, or they have proven themselves to be stronger, Yashamaru obsesses over them, wanting to become as strong as them, yet also seeming fanatical towards them, and perhaps as scared of them. He believes honesty to be a naive trait held by the foolish, and trusts no one, accordingly. He can seem quite charming and friendly, though he usually only has his own interests at heart, not believing others to be capable of truly caring. He can be manipulative, though he's often just distant and overcautious. At times, he can seem emotionless, with his odd state perhaps being the cause of that.Whilst appearing quite manipulative- a form of psychological counter-measure to the way others have manipulated and treated him, he's also quite uncomfortable around women, and could be considered something of a tsundere. Part of his past may have included a few human noblewomen treating him like trash at various points.

Sometimes he can be brutal, impulsive, excessively-violent and possessing of a lethally-short temper. However, despite his aggression and obvious blood lust in battle, he can possess a feral cunning and has a knack for quickly exploiting any opening his opponent reveals. In addition, he can be blunt and sarcastic, revealing a psychotic grin or laughing maniacally whenever he becomes excited sometimes, or eerily silent, cold and disdainful at other times. He is also very rude and quite disrespectful at times, and mockingly polite, cunning and manipulative at others. Though most of these aspects are elements of a complex personality created in order to deal with his dark and not exactly pleasant past, with such an array of façades created as a result. Not unsurprisingly, he's also avoided bonding whenever he could. Due to a certain affinity to conflict, he's become quite a skilled swordsman whilst in human form.

He ended up convincing himself to come to the academy, though he holds no trust for humans, and even holding such an emotion for his own kind is a rarity. Not particularly burdened by morals, he has little issue regarding killing humans in secret to gain their essence if necessary. Though he knows that will inevitably make him suffer further at the hands of humans, in due time.

Despite his warped personality, he enjoys nature and can be seen to be friendly with various wild animals, who seem to be quite friendly in return. Not in any odd way, in case you're wondering.

Personality:loyal, shrewd, obedient, quiet, accommodating
Special Skills/Powers: Though he may look like the common fire-breathing dragon type, Wen Xi Jun is actually a master manipulation of storms and lighting. His command ranges from simple breezes to devastating maelstroms.
Soul Weapon: (empty till pair is confirmed)
Bio: Wen Xi Jun is not originally from the Kingdom of Linx. Some rumors say he comes from the fabled land of Himori, while others say he was subjugated underneath the tyranny of Olaris in Tygus. Where ever he came from, Wen Xi Jun is not saying. He serves as personal manservant of Prince Bastille, heir apparent to the Throne of Linx. No one knows where he came from, all they know is that he showed up one auspicious day. Wen Xi Jun had showed up to court one day asking for an audience with the Prince. After a day long conversation with Bastille, the Prince decided that Wen Xi Jun will serve as his manservant, and shall remain by his side always.

Just to verify something on the Dracona, it is limited, correct? The knowledge is from the generations of dragons that our characters may descend from? I am assuming it isn't equally shared by every dragon, therefore mine that may be from Tygus may be very limited in human knowledge or simply  knows what his generation sees them as?

No you are correct in your thinking. The dracona is limited for the most part to your personal dragon heritage. If you are questioning the knowledge available to your dragon just pm me. As for information on about humans based on a dragon from Tygus, most dragons from there would only see humans as a source of essence and nothing more.

Personality: Quiet, a bit shy, but fiercly loyal to her friends

Bio:Born in the rural park of Linx, Seline was the youngest of 7 children. She always felt a bit lost and out of place, considering that all her family were expert huntsmen, but she had difficulty with a bow. Even if she couldn't hunt, she did become an expert in cooking the catches for her family, which gave her a quiet sense of pride.

One day, Seline was determined to bring something back to the family home for dinner. Anything. She caught sight of a deer, and started after it when her shot missed. Seline began tracking the animal, but ended up getting lost. Eventually, she wandered into a dragon breeding ground. At first afraid of the huge creatures, Seline gathered up her courage and entered when invited by the dragons. There, she bonded with one; a powerful bond, although not one of the most powerful. From there, the dragon helped Seline return home. From theer, the choice was made to send Seline to the Academy, giving her a path in life she had never expected.

Hmm. That could work, though Lyra's backstory might have to change slightly for it to make sense. Especially considering how her character bonded with a dragon in some dragon breeding ground in Linx, and Yashamaru was in Kenz. And he's also unlikely to help humans considering le dark past, the resultant opinion and manner of interacting with them. Unless I'm misunderstanding and that interaction with a mysterious dragon in the bio has nothing to do with the one she'll be paired with.
Just a few things I noticed. Even though I should probably PM these things, mentioning them here is as good a place as any.
