Ok, I was finally able to get this done. I'm just putting this up for approval, and for any mistakes I've made to be pointed out so I can make the necessary corrections to them.

Name: Kuroda Uchiha

Appearance:

Main strength:Specializes in ninjutsu, mainly Fire and Lightning element jutsus.

Bloodline/Clan: Uchiha 

Biog: As a member of one of Konoha's most powerful clans, there was never a question that Kuroda would become a shinobi. His father and older brother fought in the Great Ninja War. Unfortunately, his brother was killed in battle. Kuroda had looked up to and admired his brother, and took the loss quite hard. But not as hard as his father had. Ever since the Great Ninja War ended, Kuroda's father has been trying to pressure his remaining son to take his training more seriously and push himself to the level that his brother had been at. This has caused Kuroda to resent his father a bit, feeling that his father just sees him as a replacement for his dead brother.

Personality: He tends to be a bit laid back and easy going. It would be wrong to call him lazy though. Kuroda is also calm most of the time. But if someone manages to push the right buttons, he has an incredible temper. When he becomes friends with someone, he is quite loyal and will be willing to do just about anything to help that person.

Strengths and flaws: His greatest strength lies in his Fire and Lightning jutsus. He also is quite adept at taijutsu. Using his Sharingan, he is able to memorize new jutsu very quickly. His main weakness is that his jutsus often require large amounts of chakra. If he doesn't discipline himself in battle, or improve his chakra control, he will exhaust his chakra reserves too quickly. He is also a bit too soft, and isn't always willing to be as ruthless as is sometimes necessary in a fight. He is a fairly good strategist. If his opponent has managed to provoke Kuroda's temper, then he will become reckless. But when something has to get done, he's willing to do his part to make it happen. It takes him awhile to trust someone, but when he does he will do just about anything for them.

But yes, Kuroda seems fine, post him up in our character sheet thread and make an introduction to the Chunin exam thread as if your character had been part of the group of hopeful genin the entire time - you'll probably need to read the entire thread and make reference to important stuff such as the Mad Hermit's "attack", the split between Fuu and Tetsu's group, etc.

Name: Hiroshima (Hero) Mizuho

Main strength: Plant Jutsu: water and earth mix.

Bloodline/Clan: N/A

Biog:
While out with his parents one day Hero was lucky enough to see an ANBU Black Ops member returning from a mission, the member watched the child approach from behind his mask and Hero was given the gift of a paper tag that had a single word on it, 'potential'. The ANBU member told him to work hard and show the village just how strong he could become, since that day Hero has been training himself for the academy keeping that paper well tended and the first thing he sees when he wakes up in the morning. His talent with plant Jutsu earned him a permanent part time job at the Yamanaka Flower Shop so when he isn't training or on a mission he can be found at the shop.

Personality: Hero has a hero neurosis, go figure... he is always happy to help a friend and make someone smile, is willing to save the day weather it's physically, mentally, or financially. Tends to make jokes once he opens up but also remains quiet for a few hours while he get's to know someone.

Strengths:
Plant Jutsu: water and earth mix
Tai Jutsu: many of his plant based attacks involve creating weapons.
Chakra Control: Above average.
Medical Training: Herbal use / medicine.

Flaws:
Being a hero tends to lead to people using you for selfish reasons.
Becomes very depressed when he let's someone down
Takes out his anger on training dummy's... till they no longer exist...

Hi Digitl, thanks for showing interest, please read over the thread. You'll notice we're dealing with "normal" ninja to begin with, i.e no custom jutsus or kekkei genkai (or custom nature affinity mixes) for the time being. You might want to adjust your character sheet accordingly. Also maybe flesh out your characters personality and flaws...

An update on this - we have a good RP going, centered mainly around the Chunin Exam, which has a good core of players in it.

However, our other threads have died off somewhat, with a few of our players.

Hence we are looking for some fresh blood!

Here's the deal;

- You will be playing Genin undertaking their Chunin exam, which is ongoing at the moment.

- You will be from Konoha (extra villages will be added in if we get enough regular players).

- Our Konoha is an alternative Konoha, please see earlier in this thread for more information. There are no canon characters in this RP.

- Custom kekkei genkai and bloodlines are not considered at the moment. This includes custom Jutsu. You can create a character that is specialised in one area (dojutsu, medic, taijutsu, etc) or has one of the canon Konoha bloodlines (for example we have some players who are from the Hyuuga clan). Once you have built a character up over their ninja career, I will consider custom jutsu once they've been in the RP for a decent amount of time, if they really want.

Other than that, we're trying to create a slightly more adult Narutoverse, where personalities and character outweigh fancy flashy jutsu.

Wall of text-no-jutsu

Konohagakure No Sato

Current Hokage: Nawaki Wasaji, aka"The Green Shadow".
A distant and impersonal Hokage, he keeps himself to himself and is rarely seen about the village. All that is known about him is his mysterious jutsu, the "green shadow" that earnt him his nickname and kept Konoha untouchable during the Great Ninja War. Although cold and aloof, he isn't a bad Hokage, and his special jounin aides speak highly of him.

Notable history: The village, thanks in part to Wasaji and in part to its famous clans, performed admirably during both the Samurai wars and the Great Ninja War that succeeded it. Always having been a rich village, Konoha has always enjoyed a comfort often envied by other villages.

Current status: Konoha has been recruiting and retraining over the past couple of years since the end of the Great Ninja War. During this time, it takes on only a handful of A and B-class missions a year, and those always without any major risk to any other land or village. Konoha and Wasaji seem to be focused on its wave of keen young recruits that are the future. One notable little-known thing is, however, that Wasaji and his aides are considering taking action on the crisis in the Mist Village, which has seen a recent uprising and has plummeted into vicious civil war. Like most other villages, Konoha has stayed out of Mist's own business, but is now being urged to take action by various Daimyos and commitees after weeks of violence around Mist lands.

You'll see a tiny bit of history there. The Samurai Wars were initiated when an alliance of supposedly renegade Samurai refused to acknowledge shinobi in the world, and began leading "justified attacks" to stomp them out. Shinobi from various villages retaliated, and thus began the Samurai Wars, ending with the deaths of thousands of samurai, surrender of thousands more, and the exile of hundreds of others. Some claim that fugitive samurai still exist and pose a threat to existing shinobi hidden villages. Others laugh that claim off completely.

Your grandparents might have fought or died in the Samurai Wars. It's fairly old history.

The Great Ninja War began when a power vaccuum, caused by the displacement of the once-powerful samurai, initiated newly formed ninja villages to start jockeying for power. One thing led to another, and soon five of the most powerful villages were at each others throats. This war ended in a cautious stalemate, nearly ten years ago. The peace that exists between the villages is getting stronger.

Your parents or elder siblings may have fought or died in the Great Ninja War. It's more recent history.

Whilst not an outright victor (no village truly won the War) Konoha didn't do too badly out of it, of course suffering losses like all the villages did.

Name (Something Japanese-sounding, at least): Kosaka Akihiko

Appearance:

Main strength: Taijutsu with some Ninjutsu to support.

Bloodline/Clan: Uchiha (Though born outside of clan-grounds as a result of a bit of cheating)

Biog: He wanted to be a shinobi because it was literally in hit blood.  He knows he's a part of a famous clan but is looked down upon because he's just a bastard of it and wants to prove that you can still kick just as much ass.  His father was one of the Uchiha clan whom was a bit of a playboy and fathered him during that period in his life and since then he'd never once really been accepted by the clan as a whole. So he became a shinobi to prove that he's their equal or even superior; and to make his mother not feel like such a "whore". Cuz that's how she's been treated by some people as a kind of "lower class".

Personality: Akihiko is pretty serious about being a shinobi and seems to lack any real sense of humor while "On the job" and is in fact rather vicious about it. using his sharingan abilities mixed with taijutsu  (instead of ninjutsu like the other Uchiha) And is highly proud of that fact.  He prefers to fight with his hands rather than at a range because he views using too much range or using ranged attacks entirely is "cowardly" and "honorless." While he can see the use of it in "softening up a target" he believes an enemy should be finished off up close and personal whenver possible.  OUtside of combat, Akihiko is just like any other guy his age really, interested in the girls (which he gets from his father even if he doesn't realize it) and well..just tries to fit in.

Strengths and flaws: Akihiko is extremely good with taijutsu and uses his sharingan abilities to defeat lower-class Genjutsu but he doesn't use it's ability to copy ninjutsu that often. Which has left him out of some rather useful abilities.  In comparison, he's kindo f like Rock Lee, in that he's a genius of hard work and training rather than using his bloodline Kekkei genkai as a crutch.
