Guess my charrie's gonna have to open her mind even more! "Wait. Vampires are actually a thing? And you're also a mutant? I can't even...nope. Not even gonna try to imagine how insane that must be."

JosuT

As much as this is a good discussion, I think it might be better to hold it in the OOC thread and leave this for any more profiles that are going to be posted. I think we were still waiting for a couple of people who said they wanted to play a character but haven't posted yet. Hopefully they post before Saturday.

Here is the link for the OOC thread. https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=184817.0

Angaroo

Was just wondering if your still accepting characters. If so, I'd be interested in joining.

JosuT

We are definitely still accepting characters, so feel free to pick a character and put in a bio. We're getting some game threads up and we will likely be starting to actually write on Saturday.

CHARACTER NAME: Mercury
REAL NAME: Cessily 'Ces' Kincaid AGE:18
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bi-Curious
HEIGHT: 5'4"
WEIGHT: 114lb (52kg)
AFFILIATION: X-Men, Jean Grey School student body; formerly New X-Men, Hellions Squad, Xavier Institute student body

APPEARANCE/COMBAT COSTUME:

COMBAT W/ COSTUME

COMBAT W/O COSTUME

APPEARANCE WITHOUT COSTUME:

NO COSTUME 1

NO COSTUME 2

POWERS/ABILITIES:

Malleable Bio-Mercury Form: Cessily's body is composed of a nontoxic liquid mercury. Her form allows her to alter her shape by collapsing into a featureless mass, extending blades from her skin, or molding herself into different forms. Her ability to shape shift extends to the most basic of rudimentary weapons. Cessily's Liquid Mercury form is inorganic.

Self-Sustenance: She is no longer a carbon-based life form and does not eat or breathe the same way as normal humans. Still, she consumes food out of habit and has not realized the scope of her change.

Telepathic Resistance: She is very hard to telepathically detect or influence while in her mercury form.

Molecular Adhesion: Gives her the ability to cling to solid surfaces and move her body at will even without overt locomotive features.

Enhanced Durability: Skin, bone and muscle that is transformed into liquid mercury makes it stronger and harder than a normal humans; impervious to injury to a certain extent.

Magical Resistance: Due to her transient body, its harder to magically detect, influence, or harm her them other humans and mutants, but her resistance is far from infinite and can be overwhelmed by more skilled magicians.

WEAKNESSES:

Electricity: Electric stuns Mercury and causes her to lose control over her form, as well as causing pain.

HISTORY: Cessily lived a completely normal life and was a beloved only child, until her mutation developed. Her body changed to a metallic, mercury-like substance. Her parents did not know how to deal with this change. While they did not reject her outright, they shipped her off to Xavier´s, hoping the neighbors would never know about their mutant daughter.

PERSONALITY: Cessily is terribly, terribly kind, and given the unfair treatment she's been given by her parents, she's become a very fair person, and has no qualms about speaking out (or acting out) against anyone when she thinks a situation is unfair or biased. This stubbornness could easily lead to her or others getting put in danger if she views a rule as biased or unfair, and she chooses not to follow it. She doesn't tolerate bullying, and will always speak out against that, as well. Very rarely will Cessily let these things go unnoticed, and she hasn't quite learned to apply the phrase "pick your battles" to herself yet.Though she has her passion, Cess rarely holds a real grudge. She's very forgiving, and expects similar treatment in return.

It took a long time for Cessily to regain her confidence. For quite some time, even among the other mutants, Cessily felt worthless. She couldn't go to school and she couldn't work, and she felt like a burdensome bump on a log. To a degree, she still feels that way- It's hard, and even dangerous, for her to go out in public, and she just wants to help or be productive in some way. This desire to help has lead Cessily to be a really kind friend, causing her to go out of her way to lend a hand or a shoulder to cry on if things are going badly for someone. For the most part, however, her confidence is back, along with her bubbly personality.

#56
CHARACTER NAME: Psylocke
REAL NAME: Elizabeth (Betsy) Braddock
AGE: 27
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: bi-curious
HEIGHT:5'11
WEIGHT: 155 lbs
AFFILIATION: X-men, X-Force, Captain Britain Corpse, STRIKE

APPEARANCE/COSTUME: (Put pic underneath)

POWERS/ABILITIES:

Telekinesis :

Ability to psionically manipulate the physical aspects of reality. She can also move and levitate other people. She can also create telekinetic shields of various sizes and strength and she can fire mental force blasts that can “shatter mountains.” Psylocke seems to find that using her telekinesis in forceful ways is easier than in delicate ways. However, over time she displayed further control over fine matter. (For example, turning invisible by vibrating her own molecules, keeping an atomic bomb contained, and creating a telekinetic bubble inside of a brain, & exploding said bubble)

Psylocke can manifest a telekinetic katana blade composed of raw psi-energy, which at its lowest intensity, functions to disrupt neural pathways and sever the bonds between molecules, and at its highest level, her katanas can slice an armored opponent and cut through the armor, but leave the attacker physically unharmed. She can also use her swords to shatter telepathic power-inhibitors imposed on others. Psylocke's telekinetic manifestations produce visible radiance in the physical world. Thus, she can use her psychic katana as a makeshift light source in areas of darkness. She can also use her telekinesis to enhance her speed, strength and fighting skills into super-human levels.

Telepathy:
She possesses mental powers to affect and manipulate the minds of other sentient beings. Psylocke could read minds and communicate mentally with others over long distances.

Telepathic Tracking:

Enhanced psionic senses enabled her to detect and track other sentient beings by their unique psionic emanations (thought patterns contained in the psionic portion of the spectrum) especially if they posed a threat to her well-being in her immediate vicinity.

Psychic Shadow:
She was able to mask her presence from others. Her abilities could go undetected and were very difficult to track, even by very powerful telepaths such as Shadow King. She could extend these defenses to others around her as well.

Psy Blades:
Described as "the focused totality of her psychic powers," by intensely channeling and focusing her psionic powers to her hands to create “psychic blades”, razor-sharp edges of pure mental energy which were said to be the ultimate physical manifestation of her powers which she plunged into the minds of her targets directly, which she often used to disrupt the neurons of her foes by driving the glowing "blade" of mental energy into their skulls. It is able to kill.

Mind Manipulation:
Psylocke is capable of controlling the minds of others. Also, she had the ability to create illusions to make herself seem to be invisible, look like someone else, or make others experience events that were not truly happening. She can induce temporary mental or physical paralysis as well as erase any awareness of particular memories or cause total amnesia.

Psionic Blasts:
Could project psionic force bolts usually in the form of a butterfly which have no physical effects but which could affect a victim's mind so as to cause the victim pain or unconsciousness or even death.

Astral Projection:
Could project her astral form from her body onto astral planes or the physical planes. In the astral plane, she could mentally create psionic objects and manipulate the aspects of her environment.

Umbrakinesis:
Psylocke has the ability to manipulate darkness into psychic blasts and bolts. Many telepaths have this ability

Master Martial Artist:
Psylocke has been classified as a master martial artist, though the specific fighting arts she has mastered have never been revealed. Presumably, as a ninja, she is skilled in various Ninjutsu techniques such as Taijutsu and Ninjaken. Her skills have been said to rival those of a ninja master.

As a telepath, Psylocke used to take advantage of her powers in a fight by reading her opponents' movements seconds before they made them, giving her the opportunity to counter-attack faster, and she could also use her telepathy to mask her presence from other people, humans and super-humans alike. She also used to create telepathic illusions to distract her enemies while fighting them and as a ninja, she used her psychic knife to incapacitate her opponents without killing them, though she has less inhibitions about doing so and will if necessary.

As a telekinetic, she often used her powers to augment her strength and speed, which made her fighting skills so strong that she was able to match and even outmatch other superhumanly strong opponents like a holographic version of Sabretooth in the Danger Room.

WEAKNESSES: Tends to get into more trouble than one person can handle.

HISTORY:

Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock was born in England. Raised in the small town of Maldon, Essex, Betsy was Sir James Braddock's second child; she, her twin brother Brian, and elder brother Jamie had a very privileged life. By the time their parents died, Betsy had become a charter pilot. After she and Jamie were taken hostage by the Red Skull's agents and freed by Captain America and Captain Britain, Betsy learned the latter was her brother Brian. She dyed her hair purple and took up modeling.

At the age of sixteen, her psychic powers fully manifested, which grew to include telepathy. Agent Matthew recruited Betsy into S.T.R.I.K.E.'s Psi Division, and she became fellow psi Tom Lennox's lover. As she had inherited membership to the Hellfire Club from her father, Betsy was sent to infiltrate it, but was warned off by Tessa for her own protection. She also met future boyfriend Warren Worthington for the first time during one of the Hellfire Club parties.

When the crime lord Vixen hired Slaymaster to eliminate the Psi-Division, only Betsy, Tom Lennox, and their friend Alison Double were left when Brian defeated him. When reality warped due to James Jaspers' powers, Tom sacrificed himself to give the Braddocks time to escape from a group of superhero hunters. Betsy was in Tom's mind when he died; feeling his death, she was left traumatized. Following the repair of the reality warp, an evil version of Captain Britain from another universe named Kaptain Briton switched places with Brian. The double tried to rape Betsy. In self-defense, she telepathically killed him.The same night, the twins were informed of their father's Otherworld origins, and a new intelligence agency called R.C.X. asked them to billet Warpies, children transformed by Jasper's warp, at the Manor, which led to an argument between Betsy and Brian.

When Brian went overseas, Matthew (now codenamed Gabriel) convinced Betsy to become the new Captain Britain, wearing Kaptain Briton's modified costume. Working with Captain UK, the duo became public sensations. After several months, Vixen lured Betsy into a showdown with Slaymaster, who brutally beat her, then gouged her eyes out. Brian flew to her rescue and killed Slaymaster. Betsy refused R.C.X.'s offer of cybernetic eyes, preferring to rely on her psychic abilities; she and Gabriel went to Switzerland for Betsy to recuperate.

Betsy was kidnapped from the Alps by Mojo, brainwashed, given cybernetic eyes, and, as "Psylocke," became the star of his new show "Wildways." Brian and the New Mutants rescued her, after which Betsy moved to the X-Men's mansion to recover..When the Marauders attacked the Morlocks, the X-Mansion was used as a temporary infirmary for injured survivors of the massacre. Knowing that the X-Men were away in New York, the Marauder Sabretooth invaded the mansion. Psylocke used herself as a bait to lead him away from the injured until the X-Men arrived to help her. While Sabretooth and Wolverine fought, Psylocke used her telepathy to gather information about the Marauders and their leader, Mr. Sinister, from Sabretooth's mind.Wolverine, though initially reluctant to involve outsiders in the X-Men's affairs, was impressed by her bravery and nominated her to join the team.

As an X-Man she met Mephisto, Dr. Doom and the Fantastic Four, and the Horde.

Psylocke resided in China for awhile where she was brainwashed into become Lady Mandarin, a ninja assassin. With help from Wolverine she broke free of the brainwashing, and returned to join her former comrades. Later, she was targeted by the Crimson Dawn. When Sabretooth gutted Psylocke, Angel, Wolverine, Doctor Strange, and Gomurr the Ancient retrieved a magical liquid from the Crimson Dawn dimension that healed her and gave her the new ability to teleport through shadows, but also marked her with a red tattoo over her left eye. Her personality took on a cold edge, which created distance between her and Warren. Kuragari, Proctor of the Crimson Dawn, tried to claim Betsy as his bride, but was thwarted with Gomurr and Angel's aid, freeing Betsy of the Dawn's influence. However, Psylocke still retained the abilities associated with it.

Subsequently she aided Storm against the Shadow King, who tricked Psylocke into initiating a psychic shockwave that disabled all other telepaths, leaving him unchallenged on the astral plane. Her own astral form was destroyed, but her exposure to the Crimson Dawn gave her a new shadow form with temporarily enhanced powers, which she used to trap the Shadow King's core. To keep him trapped she was forced to constantly focus her telepathy on him, effectively rendering herself powerless.Jean Grey's attempt to help Betsy deal with the Shadow King somehow swapped their powers, leaving Betsy telekinetic. After the death of Jean Grey and Scott Summers' insanity which led to the death of Charles Xavier, Betsy returned to the Jean Grey School of Learning where she offered her aid to Wolverine

PERSONALITY:
Betsy is an adventurous soul who isn't easily tied down. She also possesses a strong sense of duty and responsibility. She has a sometimes sardonic wit and can come across as aloof or arrogant at times.

Ok, so i`m going to do a relationship thread so we can get an idea how characters feel about each other in the School.
Just so you know, everyone will be on edge, as Cyclops (possessed by the Phoenix) murdered professor X.
Mutants are more scared now then ever of the big bad world outside.

I haven't heard anything else about anyone wanting to be iceman yet, so feel free to post a bio

CHARACTER NAME:  Iceman
REAL NAME:  Robert 'Bobby' Louis Drake
AGE: 29
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Straight
HEIGHT: 6'0”
WEIGHT: 191 lb
AFFILIATION: X-Men (Founding member)

APPEARNACE IN COSTUME:

APPEARANCE WITHOUT COSTUME:

POWERS/ABILITIES:

Robert 'Bobby' Drake has been stated to be an Omega Level Mutant. Iceman's powers are far beyond the simple ability to generate cold.

Thermokinesis: Iceman is a mutant with the superhuman ability to lower his external and internal body temperature, projecting intense coldness from his body. Like any normal human being's, the nerve centers for regulating Iceman's body temperature are found in the part of the brain called the hypothalamus. However, Iceman can mentally override his hypothalamus to allow his body temperature to be lowered by an unknown internal mechanism. This ability converts the latent thermal energies in and around his body into an unknown form of energy that is efficiently dissipated. A related mutation has rendered his body tissues unaffected by sub-zero temperatures. Iceman can consciously, immediately lower his body temperature from its normal 98.6 Fahrenheit to absolute zero (The point where all molecular motion stops.) and lower within the span of a few tenths of a second. Iceman's power to generate cold is so great, he was able to stop a massive nuclear explosion.

As his body temperature falls, the surrounding moisture in the air that is in contact with him is similarly lowered. Just as condensed moisture forms frost, this moisture forms an icy covering which encompasses his entire body. It also obscures his facial features. When Iceman first began to completely lower his body temperature, this covering took on a more snow-like appearance. But as he learned to increase the severity of his coldness, the covering assumed the consistency of crystalline ice that it has today. This ice constantly cracks with any movement of his body, and immediately reforms. (Hence, there is a cracking sound when Iceman, covered with ice, moves.) Through practice, Iceman has learned to control the intensity of his coldness, and he can selectively lower the temperature of isolated parts of his body.

Thermal Vision: The ability to see beings due to the heat signature that others give off, because of the absence of heat around him.

Cryokinesis: Iceman can use his mutant ability to control moisture such as to freeze any air moisture into super-hard ice. This ice can be formed into any object of his choosing: the only limitations are his own imagination, and the ambient air temperature which determines how long his ice sculpture will stay icy. He does not have to hold the ice physically with his hands in order to shape it. Apparently he can simply direct the waves of coldness he projects in certain ways so as to create ice in the shape he desires. In the past, Iceman has formed ice-ladders, ice-slides, ice-shields, ice-bats and other constructs of ice. Iceman has created constructs of ice so powerful that he was able to easily encase and contain the likes of the Hulk with him being unable to break out of it. On at least one occasion, he has even been shown to make it snow or cause a blizzard.

Iceman is able to form a rising column of ice beneath his feet, capable of lifting him off the ground. The tensile strength of the column is determined by its thickness, and its steadiness by how well it has been braced. A well-braced and regular column, 6 feet in diameter at its base, is able to support his weight without toppling for about 85 feet in a 40-mile per hour wind. By forming long ice-ramps connected either to his ice-column or to an existing structure like a building or a bridge, Iceman is able to travel above the ground by sliding down the ramp he is creating. Unless he creates supports periodically, the ramp will crack beneath him, unable to support their combined weight. Iceman although has shown that he is not limited to creating constructs and can fly on his own with his control over moisture.

Iceman's control of his powers are so vast that it extends to the molecular level, to the point that he can freeze all of the molecules of an object/being with a thought. An example would be freezing blood in the veins, thereby stopping flow to the brain. He has demonstrated the ability to control chemical reactions on the molecular level, at one point preventing Sunfire from accessing his powers.

Organic-Ice Form: Ability to not only cover his body with ice, but to actually become organic ice. Though the appearance is similar, Iceman is now actually translucent in his ice form. Iceman is virtually indestructible in this form, allowing him to reform his body should it become shattered. He has been incinerated while in human form, and was able to rebuild himself. In his ice form, he is able to use the moisture in the air to form spikes, shields and attach other extra appendages to his body. It is currently unknown if Bobby would be considered immortal.

Due to the amount of water on Earth, Iceman has a virtually unlimited supply of moisture since it is always present in the surrounding air or environment. Even desert air has sufficient moisture content for him to make temporary practical use of; however, the mental effort needed to employ his mutant power under these circumstances could eventually fatigue him and render his freezing ability temporarily dysfunctional.

Hydrokinesis: Iceman can use surrounding moisture to augment himself, allowing him to travel within large bodies of water very quickly. He accomplishes this by breaking himself down to his base levels and reforming at the destination. He is able to convert his body to gigantic proportions as well, through absorption of a body of water or water vapor in the air. One side effect of this is he gains superhuman strength to match his superhuman size. Wherever there is any moisture, Iceman is a threat. Iceman has demonstrated the ability to be transformed into nothing more than water vapor, yet remain conscious and retain the use of his powers. His conscious control of his abilities has allowed him to exist simultaneously in two places at once.

Molecular Moisture Inversion: The ability to freeze water molecules turning them into solid ice.

Molecular Moisture Conversion: The ability to transform organic matter, such as a human body, to organic ice and back again. With this, it is possible for him to project his consciousness through moisture molecules and reform his body at the destination. Though he has only done this to himself, he does possess the potential, as demonstrated by his AoA counterpart, to preform the feat with passengers.

Ice Clone Generation:The ability to generate ice clones of himself. It is unknown how many ice clone he can create at once.

WEAKNESSES:

Like that of any trained athlete, Iceman's ability to perform is directly related to his daily physical health and current mental state. Under normal conditions, he can usually form ice continually for a period of about 5 hours before becoming mentally exhausted. He seems to lack the creativity and imagination to use his powers to their full potential, though fear of losing control over them may be a factor in his reluctance.

HISTORY:

Robert Louis Drake was born in Floral Park, Long Island, New York to William and Madeline Drake. Bobby is Jewish on his mother's side and Irish Catholic on his father's. Bobby first discovered his mutant abilities at a young age when he found himself unable to stop feeling cold and shivering.

A school bully named Rocky Beasely had convinced his gang to attack Bobby and his girlfriend at the time, Judy Harmon. Bobby panicked and encased Rocky in ice, saving Judy, but revealing his abilities to the other kids. Believing Bobby to be a dangerous mutant, the people of his town, Ft. Washington, organized a lynch mob. The mob broke into the Drake household and overpowered the family. The local sheriff noticed that things were getting out of hand and took Bobby into custody for his own protection. The story made its way to Charles Xavier.

Xavier sent Scott Summers (Cyclops) to recruit Bobby. After Bobby turned him down the two mutants got into a brief scuffle before the mob caught up with them. The mob was stringing Scott and Bobby up to be hanged when Professor X used his telepathic abilities to erase their memories. Grateful for saving his life and yearning to be like Scott, Bobby enrolled in Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and become the second member of the X-Men. There, the X-Men were tutored by Professor X and trained in the use of their powers. As 'Iceman', Bobby learned to control his abilities in order to protect a world that feared and hated him for being different alongside Cyclops, Angel, Beast, and Marvel Girl.

PERSONALITY:

Bobby has a very large sense of humor. He enjoys practical jokes, but never maliciously. He enjoys making others laugh and smile, and some of his most memorable moments in the X-Men have been when he worked diligently to make some of the more 'serious' members not be 'so serious'.

Bobby always maintains a positive outlook, and practices a lighthearted approach to dangerous situations. Even the threat of the end of the world can't bring him down. Always optimistic, he never gives up no matter how dire the circumstances, and he does his best to ensure that his comrades don't, either.

Bobby is incredibly loyal to those he calls 'friend', especially since he did not have many while growing up. No villain or other superhero can intimidate him when one of his friends is threatened, and Bobby will always lookout for a fallen comrade, believe that friends should -never- be left behind, even if it means his own life in trying to save them.

Bobby has dated several women in his lifetime, some of them even being fellow mutants. Somehow, those relationships usually seem to go bad for one reason or another, but the most common ending finds his partner hooking up with someone else, and several times being eventually 'friend-zoned' by a potential partner.

Bobby attended college at UCLA, graduating with a degree in Accounting.

EQUIPMENT: None.

KNOWN ENEMIES: All past and present enemies of the X-Men.

That would be up to whoever was playing her if we had someone playing her. Though the main focus is on the school and the team, so the characters should have a reason to be at the school, either as students, teachers, or as team members who are helping out in any way they can.

CHARACTER NAME: Vektor
REAL NAME: Kevin Forester
AGE: 19
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
HEIGHT: 5'10"
WEIGHT: 175
AFFILIATION: Jean Grey School

APPEARANCE/COSTUME:

APPEARANCE WITHOUT COSTUME:

POWERS/ABILITIES:
Kinetic Bolts - This is a crude form of Telekinesis whereby Vektor can strike a target with a surge of force. These Kinetic Bolts emit from his forearms in the rough shape of cylinders. Its effect is the same as if the target had been struck by solid concrete.
Empathy - Vektor can detect the surface emotions of others. He can detect the target's emotional state and further refine that knowledge to discover the target's physical state, surroundings, and location, insofar as these have an influence on the emotions. He can transmit his own emotional state but he cannot impose this on others (ie: Emotion Control).
Martial Artist: Tai Kwon Do - Kevin has trained for just over 10 years in traditional Tai Kwon Do, and holds the equivalent of a `Purple' belt.

WEAKNESSES:
Southern accents. ;p

HISTORY:
Kevin led a rather sheltered childhood in the suburbs of Los Angeles. When he was 15, he was the passenger in a car accident. No one was seriously injured, but upon impact his power manifested, sending a blast of energy thru the dash of the car. His arms have glowed blue ever since. He also became extremely empathic, finding that he could sense the surface emotions of others.
He was home-schooled by a private tutor from that point forth, and taken out of most activities. He always wore long sleeves and gloves if he had to go out in public.

PERSONALITY:
Kevin's a pretty laid-back guy for the most part. He's a little self-conscious about his glowing forearms, but not so much by the idea that he's a mutant. He likes to form strong friendships and feels things particularly deeply, possibly on account of his Empathy power.

Hank cannot except that there is a problem he cannot fix. This leads to an obsessive mood that has made him compromise ethics on occasion.

HISTORY:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Born in Dundee, Illinois, in the United States, to Norton and Edna McCoy. His father, Norton McCoy, is employed at a local nuclear power plant before Henry's birth and was once exposed to intense nuclear radiation, which appears to have caused his son's mutation. Hank is born with a vast intellect, unusually long arms and legs, and unusually large hands and feet for a human; in fact, his body's proportions are comparable to those of a gorilla and later stories reveal his nickname in school was "Magilla Gorilla".
Henry's mutation more fully manifests during adolescence, providing greater strength and agility, and although his powers allow him to briefly excel in athletics during his remaining time at school, he soon attracts the animosity of his fellow students and other non-mutant humans. As he seeks refuge, he is approached by Professor Charles Xavier, who invites him to study at "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters".
Henry recognizes the opportunities such an institution can offer him and accepts the invitation. He finds the school both a fountain of scientific knowledge and a place of sanctuary and is there introduced to the X-Men, who accept him into their ranks and give him the codename Beast. Alongside workouts in the Danger Room, under Xavier's tutelage, he studies subjects ranging from differential equations to Proust.
Hank leaves the X-Men shortly after his twentieth birthday. He becomes a research scientist at the Brand Corporation, a genetics research facility. Hank isolates a "hormonal extract" allowing anyone to become a mutant for a short period of time, and uses the mutagenic serum on himself to disguise his appearance. However, he waits too long to reverse the process, leaving him permanently transformed. He has grown grey fur (which later turns blue) all over his body and acquired pointed ears, elongated canine teeth, claws, the ability to run on walls and ceilings like a spider, enhanced senses, an accelerated healing factor, and a feral side he struggles to control.
Not long after this transformation, he is recruited to join the Avengers as a provisional member. He is later granted full Avengers membership and remains a member for many years. He leaves the team periodically to rejoin the X-Men during times of need.  He returns to the Avengers each time, but eventually leaves so that the team (which has a six-member limit at the time) can be filled out by new recruits. He later joins the Defenders, stays with the team to organize as the "new" Defenders, and is one of the final surviving members at the time of its first disbandment. He and fellow surviving Defenders Angel and Iceman are contacted shortly after by Cyclops and Jean Grey to form a new group, X-Factor. Eventually X-Factor clashes with the ancient mutant Apocalypse.  During the battle, Beast is touched by the Horseman Pestilence, whose touch usually causes incredible pain and viral infection. The infection interacts with the recent serum treatment of Maddicks, and instead of killing him, Hank is affected in such a way that every time he uses his superhuman strength, his intelligence decreases. Though the battle is won, it comes at the cost of Hank's decreasing intelligence, which would not return for a time. Hank’s condition worsens for weeks. He even openly talks to Trish Tilby, a reporter, not realizing she might use the information on TV. Out of respect for Hank's situation, Trish does not mention his name when she reports about X-Factor’s recent battles, only that one of them lost his intellect while heroically defending New York. The Beast is still hurt by her using the information at all, but she is able to convince him that she meant well.
X-Factor finally ends their charade and are hailed as heroes, and they then don costumes similar to their previous X-Terminator costumes. When Hank’s mind is nothing more than that of a child, he intercepts a mutant called Infectia who is trying to kiss Iceman. Infectia has the ability to manipulate molecular structures through touch, creating mutated "monsters". When she kisses Beast, he becomes feverish and begins switching back and forth between his normal and furred forms. Finally, he stabilizes in his furry appearance, keeps his intelligence, and has more strength than ever.
Hank soon resumes wearing his old costume, but now no longer has need for a mask. During the events of Inferno, Beast, along with the rest of X-Factor team up with the X-Men and various other heroes to fight the evil forces invading the city; eventually, they manage to stop a portal between Limbo and Earth from remaining open and peace returns for the survivors. Towards the end of X-Factor's career, they battle the Shadow King during the Muir Island Saga. The final battle leaves Professor Xavier crippled again, which results in X-Factor rejoining the X-Men.
One of Beast's greatest challenges emerges with Stryfe's fatal Legacy Virus. Hank is already despondent, as he is turning thirty and questions his life accomplishments. His frustrations are further compounded when Professor Xavier and Moira MacTaggert don't ask for his assistance with the Legacy research, but it turns out Xavier is just giving him his privacy. Perusing their data, Hank learns the problem is more difficult than he had initially imagined. Hank has always believed that, given time, he could solve any problem; the Legacy Virus becomes his obsession. He goes as far as making an unethical decision in giving Mister Sinister information on the virus, since he has more resources and fewer morals to inhibit him.
A turning point comes when Dark Beast finishes some of the formula, occasionally prying more information from Hank whom he imprisoned and replaces for a while. However, the cure is incomplete and it takes Beast to design the final cure. Based on Moira's notes, Beast concocts the anti-virus to much elation, but it soon is repaid with a heavy toll—Colossus chooses to sacrifice his life to release the remedy.
As the world experiences a mutant baby boom, much of the mutant community seemingly begins experiencing "secondary mutations", often taking the form of additional or enhanced abilities. In the aftermath of Vargas' attack, Beast's secondary mutation is "jumpstarted" due to the powers of teammate Sage. The further mutation causes Beast to develop a more feline physique, to which he initially has some trouble adapting. A psychic attack by the genocidal Cassandra Nova leaves Beast humiliated, badly beaten and haunted by the possibility that his new form is simply a step in a continuous state of devolution. Additionally, the alteration in form causes his longtime girlfriend, Trish Tilby, to break up with him after being accused of bestiality in the media. Over time, Beast strikes up a strong friendship with Emma Frost, in one incident bringing her flowers to cheer her up. He finds her diamond form shattered into thousands of pieces and spends some time putting her back together. With a final jolt of psionic energy from Jean Grey, Frost returns to life.
When news of a "cure" that would reverse mutations suddenly arises, Beast finds himself seriously considering taking it so he can once again appear human. Hank eventually decides against it after vigorous "urging" by fellow team member Wolverine, as it would send out a negative message to other mutants if an X-Man were to take the cure. After learning that the cure was developed by fellow geneticist Kavita Rao through experimentation on mutant corpses - as well as on the X-Man Colossus - Beast helps take down Rao's operation. When the villainous Hellfire Club attacks the X-Men, Cassandra Nova telepathically strips away Beast's higher human consciousness, leaving him with only his animal instincts. After hunting Wolverine around campus (and even eating his leg), a student named Blindfold faces him down with a device he and Xavier had built in case his consciousness was ever lost. The device is a high-powered sensory stimulant in the form of a ball of string, which Beast had alluded to as being his greatest fear. Once restored, he is quick to put on a suit and tie and help Wolverine with a hyper-magnetic device. He, along with his teammates, are taken from the Mansion by the government agency S.W.O.R.D. and airlifted to the alien Breakworld.
When a Civil War breaks out among Marvel's superheroes, Beast, along with the other X-Men, assumes a neutral stance. However, Beast was not a particular fan of the policy and secretly violates his stance by providing Spider-Man with a holographic disguise to enable him to continue teaching at Midtown High after his secret identity has been exposed. Despite his personal feelings about the Superhuman Registration Act, Beast enlists his services to the Initiative program after the war's end, to assist in the training of the next generation of superheroes.
The X-Men and various other mutants attend the funeral of a young mutant boy named Matt Landru who has been killed in a road traffic accident and muse on what this means for mutant-kind. Beast plans to find a way to reverse M-Day. Despite the 'aid' of his other self (the Dark Beast), along with exploring such diverse avenues of investigation as analysis of alternate timelines or an attempt to track down the Scarlet Witch, he is unsuccessful in his research.
In order to save mutantkind from the effects of M-Day, Beast and Angel had to gather a team of specialists to help them. Beast and the X-Club traveled back to 1906 in order to find Dr. Nemesis' parents and discover the origins of modern mutation. During the mission, they also fought an early version of a Sentinel created by the Hellfire Club, and inadvertently caused the San Francisco earthquake.
Beast later returns to attend the funeral of his friend and teammate, Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler) where he confronts Scott Summers and blames Kurt's death on Scott's increasingly militant and extremist attitude to protecting the mutant species at all costs (even at the cost of sacrificing his friends to do so). Despite his issues with Cyclops, Beast remains on Utopia to help deal with the attacks being made by Bastion. Following Bastion's defeat at the hands of Hope Summers, Henry again departs Utopia.
After the separations of the X-Men in two teams, Beast is one of them to go with Wolverine to Westchester to open "The Jean Grey School for Higher Learning".
During the Avengers vs. X-Men miniseries, Beast sides with the Avengers to investigate and stop the Phoenix Force's return to Earth. Hank joins the team of Avengers sent to halt the Phoenix Force's return to Earth, but later temporarily 'resigns' from the Avengers in protest against their efforts to stop the 'Phoenix Five'- the five X-Men who have received the power of the Phoenix Force - as their actions appear to initially be benevolent. He returns to aid the Avengers when Cyclops and Emma Frost begin to be corrupted by the Phoenix's power.
In the aftermath of the Phoenix War, with Cyclops now actively striking out at government organizations holding mutants prisoner and the X-Men unwilling to actively fight him as they fear the subsequent mutant civil war that might result, Beast - apparently dying due to side-effects of his secondary artificially-accelerated mutation- hits upon a solution after a chance comment from Iceman; he travels back in time to the early days of the Xavier Institute to bring the original five X-Men from that period into the future, hoping that Scott's past self will be able to convince his present self to stand down. Although Beast lapses into a coma shortly after bringing the team into the present, Jean's telepathy - artificially accelerated by the trauma of her trip to the future and witnessing what Scott has become - manages to connect the minds of the two Hanks, allowing the younger Hank to spot a mistake in his future self's calculations and stabilize his physiology to a blue furred ape-like state.

Sorry for the delay everyone i had a personal emergency that required my undivided attention for the past few days. Beast CS will be up shortly.

Hey Kepesk that a cool 3d render...did you find it or make yourself...looks like Daz3D?
Hey LS. I did make them myself, thank you. Not my best work tho. I was just trying to work out a costume in the first one, and I didn't have much time. And that last one's gotta be over 5yrs old. Thanks tho.
They started off in Daz, but I do the vast majority of my work in 3ds Max.
